Summer is PEAK #whitesaviorseason Can we make that a hashtag? Y’all can just start commenting on pictures of these trips with it 😆🤭😉🙃 . Right now, there is a “team” of 20 white evangelicals in Nashville, TN with matching t-shirts who fundraised $40,000-$50,000 to take a glorified vacation. They will be using language like, “we’re going to serve the least of these”, “going to love on some babies”, “we need prayer warriors” & “going to be the hands and feet of Jesus”. They won’t be qualified but they WILL be called (by white male god). They are going to tell people about Jesus somewhere halfway across the world that already has more Christians than their own country. . Right now, there is a 19 year old in Germany getting ready to take his gap year as a volunteer at a sustainable water project. What skills does he posses that will be beneficial to the organization and community? NONE! But he’s white and European. He’s not going to really do anything, but he’s got his gap year paid for.
