I was surrounded by beautiful, smart, driven, and talented women yesterday at @curissadeleon #SacredTheBrunch event, a celebration of ambitious women in the Sacramento region. I will admit, this pregnancy hasn't always made me feel good about myself (hormones, bloating, all the glamorous stuff when you're with child). But when I was listening to all of the inspirational stories from these self-made women, it made me feel more alive and empowered because we all have similar wants and fears. Love yourself first. Don't let anyone define yourself but YOU. Believe in your ability and don't let fear disable your life. I may not feel good everyday but I won't let it stop me from trying to do big thangs. If you feel hesitant about anything in life, know that you are not alone. I got chu. The plants are soaking up this red and hazy sunlight today. I had amassed tons of bags of blankets, linens, and clothing after I cleaned out my garage. Instead of the usual donation drop-off, I was able to donate them to a local group that would take it to the shelters up north.
