OC-tober day 9 “Relationships” with ErAce! These two are so important to me I adore them.

I love doing research for my ocs :3

So apparently this was a flop over on Cara (aka, I think that I jsut posted at a time that no one was on, so they didn't really notice the post, lol) so I'm posting it here because I really want you peeps to know how much love I actually put into making my ocs!

So, I've said on all of my platforms, all of my ocs do have disorders or medical issues in one way or another. And with each of these disorders, I actually do a thorough amount of research before I officially post the information. (And yes, Lee's info is actually out. I posted it up on my Wattpad. Just as an fyi, you will be a minute reading all of it. There's a lot, lol) So, I'm just going to jump right into things. Up first on the roster is their blood types. I know, I sound crazy, but surprisingly, there is some research that goes into the blood types I assign my ocs. It depends on if they have a blood disorder (such as Pandora and Tonta with their heart problems) or their personality traits. Yes, you heard- well, read- correctly. Their personality traits actually play a HUGE part into their blood types. There are studies out there that a few groups have done that proves certain blood types have generalized similarities in personality traits. In Lee's information, I have her listed as A- for her blood type because people with that blood type actually are very introverted people. They're independent to an extent and are very reserved. To those of you that have read up on her (or have followed her development since day one of me creating her-) you can't say that DOESN'T describe her.

I also do research into the names as well. Lee's full name is Lee Ganji, which when translated separately, her first name translate to 'meadow' while her last name translates to 'two beginnings'. This plays a huge part in her info since her own crew's name she was originally the captain of was the 'Meadow Pirates', and after she lost them she got recruited to Kidd's crew- hence the reasoning for her lasty name.

In the way of medical problems, Lee has VCD (Vocal Cord Dysfunction). This is actually something I have, and it is pretty common. Basically, it's a condition that mimics asthma but directly causes the vocal cords to flutter and cause breathing issues. No, it's not a birth defect/ something you're born with, and yes it is treatable through simple speech therapy (or other medical protocol/ therapy). A lot of the time, this can happen from basic things like coughing, your drink 'going down the wrong way', and multiple other reasons.

However in Lee's case, because she doesn't talk very much, VCD is something she's pretty much stuck with. Now for her information, I did make it a bit more dramatic and have it play into a lot of the reason she doesn't talk. Is it that intense in reality? No, not really. (Like I said, I have it, and I still run around like an unhinged maniac on days since sitting still isn't an option, lol. All it does is effect your breathing mostly.) (I've also recently found out that vcd does occur more commonly in women than men, and even more so with women that has phycological problems. Unfortunately, this is also accurate to Lee's info since she does suffer with survivor's guilt.)

As for Pandora and her son, Tonta, their medical condition is quite…unique. And yes, this is also an actual thing. So, getting into their info, Pandora and Tonta were both born with their hearts on the right side of their chest instead of the left. This is a lot of the reason as to why Pandora has multiple scars on the left side of her where her heart 'should' be.

In reality, less than 1% of people in the world actually have this, and unfortunately, this does come with quite a few health risks. (How wouldn't it? Your body basically decided to play Yahtzee with your insides and mixed everything up. Of course there's going to be major repercussions with it.) The official name for this is 'dextrocardia'. And one of the main side effects that go along with this is 'Pallor'. To sum this up, this is a condition where the skin appears paler than normal. This actually has a lot to do with Pandora's appearance. While Tonta doesn't have it, Pandora does because 1. There are a few female problems that do tie into Pallor, and 2. She is the main and first family member to have dextrocardia. Hence the reason it's a lot stronger with her than Tonta. Now, does that mean it's hereditary? No. Somehow Tonta ended up with the same problem by luck, not genetics. So, in other words, Tonta and Pandora have their hearts on the right side of them by pure coincidence, not by hereditary development. (Their family's curse, however? Now that's a different story entirely-)

As of currently, I am in the works of fleshing out Bernice's info since she's my favorite little gremlin bean. (But to be fair, I have too many videos I plan to make of memes for her and Thatch just sharing a brain cell, so as of currently I don't really have any medical conditions really thought out. I mean she does eventually take phycological at some point n her info (and it double dips in the canon timeline to One Piece with what happens to Thatch :( ) But I think that she'll actually be a perfectly healthy oc for once with no problems! :D

This is Bernice, She's a revolutionary, but eventually becomes an ally to Whitebeard's crew since she doesn't want to become a nurse or cook on the crew and wants to keep her ability to fight (She ate a devil fruit. of course she's gonna want to fight >:3)

The mean looking lady is Pandora, and the boy is her son. She's a Marine Admiral. She's neutral and humane with criminals. But if you even threaten to touch her son, civilian or criminal, Just know you'll be losing more of your arm than Shanks did to a sea king. (The woman's known for her strength with just her bare hands and has, in fact, ripped a man's arm clean off up to the shoulder joint after testing her :D)

Maybe like the crew is trying to connect with reader? They thought that Marco would be the first one to connect with her (besides pops ofc) because he's quiet and calm but ironically she connect with ace first

Whitebeard hums, swishing around his drink and gulping a considerable amount

“They’re looking for you again,” he states, glancing at a small furry ball on his shoulders

She unfurls herself from her position, moving her drooping ears to uncover her face

“I know:..”

“They’re trying.”

“I know, I know that they are good people, but… they are so rowdy.”

He snickers at that, glancing away from her

“I think you should talk to them.”

She shakes her head at that

“Don’t be a brat. You have to talk to your brothers eventually, and if this is how it will be, then I Will have that be now, Boys.”

She looks at Whitebeard, her eyes widening as she shakes her head vigorously, not liking where this was headed

She squeaks as she jumps off his shoulder. As he reaches for her, hopping her way through the deck, attempting to get away from the crew as they all lunge to try to take hold of the bunny girl

She quickly made her way up to one of the lower crow nests, tucking herself small in the corner of it, ignoring the calls of the males down below

She is not alone for long as Ace, ever the nimble one, makes his way up into the crow’s nest, followed quickly by a half-transformed Marco who perches on the crow’s nest, their entrance being received by sobs from the kit

Ace sighs at the sight, swiftly picking her up

“No! Papaw! Papaw!” She cries, trying to get out of Ace’s hold to run back to the now retreating Captain as he heads for his quarters

“Hey, Hey, it’s okay,” he soothes

“Dokucha, It’s okay, take deep breaths for me.” Marco follows only to wince at his suggestion and was met by higher wails

“No! No! I want Papaw!”

He hums, dipping her

She shrieks as she suddenly finds herself upside down, giggling when he pulls her back up, her ears bouncing as she did

“Heard a laugh.”

She shakes her head, digging it into his shoulder

“No?” He questions, dipping her once again, grinning when her laughter followed on the way back up

“Well, I’m glad you are feeling better, Baby bun,” smiles Marco

Dokucha turned her attention towards the man, staring at him for a moment, her eyes glancing towards her limbs, his arms currently transformed into a pair of wings, his legs turned into two sharp, very sharp talons that gripped into the wood of the nest

“Bright aren-

He stops his words as she begins wailing again, turning her head away from him and trying to dig herself into Ace

“Hey, Hey, what’s wrong? It’s just Marco, I know he looks weird-

He receives an unimpressed glance from the phoenix at that

But he won’t hurt you.”

“No!!” She hollers

“He’s going to eat me,” she bellows

He stills at that, glancing down and back up to his brother; quickly understanding the situation, he stifles a snicker as he gestures toward Marco

“Baby bun, look at me.”

“No! I don’t taste good,” she wails

“Just look for a second.” her sobs continue as she dares to take a glance, her sobs lessening at the sight of a now fully human Marco standing in front of her

“See? Just a normal person, that was just my devil fruit,” he explains, reaching for her only to sigh as she scooched back

“Baby bun, come on, I swear I'm not going to hurt you,” Marco stated once they had returned back to the Deck of the ship; much to the surprise of the rest, she had decided to remain with Ace rather than anyone else despite all the warm and more peaceful greetings everyone offered.

“Marco, you’re terrible,” Haruta muttered

“I didn’t think you were the type to scare little girls,” Vista piped in

An irk mark began to grow on his forehead at the jabs his crewmates threw at him

“Shut up,” he grumbled

“Man, I had the wrong impression of you, Commander Marco,” Saber added in

“I always thought you were a good human, but I guess my first impression of you couldn’t be farther from the truth,” Kutatsu commented

“The next one to make a comment will see what kind of man I am,” he snapped, brows furrowed

“Gee, see that Cottontail? Now he wants to eat us. Don’t worry, I’ll protect you!” laughed Thatcher as he looked at the girl in Ace’s arms while pointing at Marco

She glances at the chef, her lips beginning to tremble once again

“Hah?! What’s wrong, Cotton tail?!”

“You’re going to eat me!”

“What?! What gave you that idea, Cottontail!?” He questions a devastated look on his face as she repeated the words he mocked Marco for no longer than a minute ago

Izou chuckles at the scene unfolding

“You have something to share, Izou?!” Thatch asked, glaring at the sniper, tears prickling in his eyes

“I believe she is referring to your… extravagant hairdo.”

“…”

“Cottontail! I'm not a bird, I swear! It’s hair! It’s hair,” he wailed, trying to hug the girl, only for tears to cascade down his face comically as she backed away from him, digging herself closer into Ace’s Embrace

Marco gives a pat on the man crying on his knees

“It’s alright, Thatch; I will protect her,” he mocks

“Shut up, you damn chicken” he wails

He grits his teeth at that, a sharp smile on his face

“You’re on cleaning duty for a month.”

“What the hell, man?! I'm a commander; you can’t do that,” he wails

At first shight, it was a good idea. Akane just wanted to spend her boyfriend's birthday with him. There only two problems. The first one: you both were from different pirate crews. He is second commander of Whitebeard's crew and she is second sniper of Redhair's crew and was Shanks daughter, adopted, but still his daugther. And second: Ace birthday, is January 1st, which is New year.

She tried to argue with Shanks, and Ace with Whitebeard.

"Shanks please just this time!"

"Oyaji, please!"

"I already said no!"

Whitebeard and Shanks were so similar, two jealous and hard-headed Yonkos. The only difference was that Shanks didn't leave two bumps on her head.

It was then that his idea popped into his head: bringing the two crews together. Akane told Beck, who didn't like the idea, but Roux, Monster and Yasopp loved it. Shanks loved it because he could drink as much as he wanted. She sent the idea to Ace who loved it, but told Marco to speak since he was still recovering from the bumps.

Well, Whitebeard, at first he didn't like it, but as he adored his daughter-in-law, in this case Akane, he made an exception.

"Akane, come here and drink with me!" The old man says as sh3 giggle, he picks you up and puts her on his leg pouring some Sake for you.

"Hey! She hasn't even had a drink with me yet!" Shanks pouted.

"She didn't even give me a welcome kiss!" Ace crossed his arms.

"my ship, my rules."

"Well, my daughter, my rules!" Whitebeard just gave them a serious look as she appeared from above his leg.

"Do you want to stop being jealous for a little bit, Shanks?" Akane giggle as Ace laughs too. "That goes for you too."

"Hey!"

She laughed, as Whitebeard handed a glass of sake into her hands as he drank from the bottle.

"how does she do that? Make Oyaji laugh like that"

"she's already used to thick-headed Yonkos." Beck said getting a laugh from Ace and Marco.

"Yeah... Wait, What you mean with hard-headed Yonkos?"

Akane laughed again. when she finished her drink, Newgate picked her up and took her to the floor, but Ace took Akane from his hand and gave her a kiss.

"Now we can have peace... at least for a day." Marco pointed out.

"Thank you very much for accepting my proposal, Newgate-san!"

"Akane... We already talked, you can call me Oyaji"

"I can try New... I mean, Oyaji..."

"How nice it would be if I didn't have to get my kids' attention more than twice... you did a good job, brat" he reffered to Shanks.

"Uh- Thanks?"

The day was chaotic, well like a pirate ship, Akane's Uncles are playing cards with some WhiteBeard commanders, basically, Yasopp, Beckman, Vista, Izou, Punch and Monster, Thatch and Roux was making the food.

Akane, Ace and Shanks are next to Whitebeard and Marco, just wacthing the card game.

"Incredible, five minutes and no one starts a fight ineresting..." Ace looks at her with an arm wrapped arround your waist.

She giggles.

"Probally they are stealing in the game. This game is worthing a lot of money." She grins.

"Troublemaker! can you bring a drink for your favorite uncle?" Yasopp teased the girl.

"Of course! Do you want a drink too Uncle Yasopp" she teases.

Shanks brust out laughing.

"That 's my baby!"

He stands up and she handed him a bottle.

"What do you see?"

"Vista and Izou are with a exclent game. They need a Jack of hearts and a Queen of hearts."

"Thank you, troublemaker."

"Your... little thief." Marco teased her.

"I'm a pirate after all" Akane smirks. Ace gives her a kiss on the cheek.

"What they promise you?" Whitebeard caught the point.

"A new flute and arrows" She grins."They won't lose, all of them are far from.-"

"We win!" Monster took the money from the center of the table

"What?"

"How did this happen?"

"They steal, I'm sure"

"We're pirates after all!" monster smiles "isn't it right Akane?" you didn't answer. "Akane?"

She gritted her teeth.

"Shit." Vista says

"Something tells me we'll have monkey meat for dinner" Yasopp comented

"Ace-yoi will hold her, don't need to worry" Marco tried to relieve the situation.

"Give me back that fucking money Monster!"

"Ace-yoi, why do you not..." Marco yell as he sees Ace snore with a meet in his hand "he slept?!"

"No no no little devil we win in the game rules, besides we aren't the only ones stealing isn't right?" Monster teases you.

"Fuck off! I'm sure you stuck your cards up your ass again, you monkey from hell!"

"Hey! Respect your uncle!"

"You're not my uncle devil's monkey! Give that money back!"

Shanks and Whitebeard burst out laughing.

"Is it always like this on your ship, brat?"

"This has been going on for 16 years... and it never stops being fun."

"because he's not the one who takes care of Akane's injuries." Hongo hissed.

"Ace, stop clinging!"

"You are angry, love, we can't have you running around the ship like this."

"I'm not angry Ace, I'm fine." You sighed... "Do you want to go to somewhere more quiet?" Akane sugested and Ace smirk, she playfully punchs his arm. "That's not what I meant, I want to feel the wind, a little more."

The couple are sitting in the crow's nest adimiring the view of the sea.

"Did I already said that you are incredible?" Ace lean on her, and smile.

Akane gave a kiss in his head "So many times."

"You are incredible, you are... so many things, I can't describe you."

"So do I.."

The crews started shouting and singing...

"They are happy."

"You know what this happiness is?"

"I know"

Ace looks up and caresses your cheek, and smiled.

"Happy new year Akane."

She leaned in closer and kissed him. After a while, she broke the kiss and sighed,

"Happy birthday, Ace."

So! Cass's kids are all putting forth their chosen suitors, so what is the rest of their found family doing with the dating show?

Well, Roger is rolling in his fucking grave watching all these people flirt with his oldest child and screaming at Rayleigh to do something about it

Rogue is watching and laughing while keeping Roger as calm as she can

Rayleigh is caught between laughing himself lightheaded, getting extremely drunk and killing all of Cass's suitors himself

Garp and Whitebeard are both pushing their own hands. Garp trying to get Cass to date a nice Marine and Whitebeard is trying to get Cass to date a Whitebeard.

Both believe this to be getting one over on Roger in some way and also a way to make Cass recognize themself as their kid

Shanks is trying to figure out weather his First Mate dating his older sibling is the best of worst case scenario

Buggy just wants everyone to leave his big sibling alone. He cannot take this kind of stress
