Happy Saturday, Everyone! I can't believe this long weekend is almost over. There were soooo many things I wanted to get done, that I still haven't gotten to. Today's photo was inspired by photos from @nyc_stilllife_photographer One of the things I have really been wanting to get better at is that perfect background spotlight. I've found that one of the best ways to learn something new in photography is to try and re-create what someone has done. By doing this, each time you make an adjustment to match what has been created before, you learn just a bit more. Over on @nyc_stilllife_photographer 's feed, he has a couple of images very similar to this one, which is what I aimed to recreate. For me, this wasn't the most difficult shoot in the world. In fact, once I got it setup, I only took about 5 or 6 shots. But to get that spotlight perfectly center took a very long time. Additionally, when I went to edit, I saw that my spotlight (the whole point of doing this image) was very harsh, too bright in the center, & the light & hues did not evenly disperse.
