I think im butch lowkey
At first i was js throwin the term around without really understanding what it meant. But now that i have more of an understanding. I do think i am butch. Since it's more of a term for more masculine gender expression. Like that IS me thats what ive been, being a he/him lesbian and wanting to be referred to with masculine traits(like husband, boyfriend), and dressing more masc now. And tbh, i feel like i have always been this way. Im not proud of who i was now, but i did hang out with guys more than girls and was referred to as "strong for a girl" and "not girly" by some older ones. At the time i took pride in it and liked the idea of not being seen as the gendered norm. I've grown since then, understood men aint shit and their validation means even less. Started hanging out with girls who are girly, loved how the acted, figured out that i loved girls, etc etc. And now that i know i dont fit into the gender expression of being "girly" i can firmly say. Yes i am butch.
Its not just a title, its who i am. Its my gender, its the way i dress, its the way i express myself, it's the way i act, the way i want to be, a protector, a kind gentleman, a butch. It's me.
#cheese stuff#butch lesbian#soft butch#butch dyke#im a fukin DYKE not a wuh luh wuh 🗣💥#and no im not a man. i dont want to be referred as a man or male. im butch i want to be referred as *that*#butch is who i am in every way#so glad i figured out my gender expression. i was SO confused bro i didnt feel like i was “masculine enough” to be butch.#but thats not exactly what butch means. its just a masc expression of gender for every non man#while looking for butch tags i was immediately hit in the face by love for butches so yeah this must be a sign from God themself#HELL YEAHH BUTCHES!!#butch represent 🗣💥#not rewriting my tag but i meant butch is for all non men LESBIANS 💔 its exclusively lesbian mb yall 😭

In honor of @ineffable-wives-weekend, here are some ineffable wives fics that I think deserve some more attention:
you are my truest feelin' yet by HazelSage
Butch Aziraphale and genderfluid Crowley meet at a Halloween themed night at the local gay bar and immediately hit it off. What follows is a series of dates and hookups while the two dance around each other and try to gather the courage to make things official.
In Magic You Believe by MyFriendsAreFictionalCharacters
In a world of magic that may or may not be real, the paths of Aziraphale and Crowley cross. A tragedy rips the pair apart--will they find their way back together?
naming the stars in the sky after you by sideraclara
Aziraphale Fell and Antonia Crowley haven’t seen each other for thirty years. But an out-of-the-blue invitation to Aziraphale’s mountain cottage for a few days rekindles a long-lost friendship – and sparks something more.
Notorious by MickyRC
It’s 1946, and in the immediate aftermath of the war, Crowley and Aziraphale each find themselves in Rio de Janeiro. Without a well-timed appearance by a particular demon a few years back, Aziraphale is on a mission to replace some of her destroyed book collection. But there is more afoot in Rio than one tired demon trying to have a quiet holiday, and with Heaven and Hell both too busy to pay much attention, it’s down to the two of them to find out what’s going on, how to stop it, and avoid being found out for working together—all with their still-fragile hearts on the line. Inspired by the movie Notorious, for the Do It With Style Silver Screen bang, featuring beautiful art by doodleswithangie!
such precious things by blackeyedblonde
“You’re gorgeous like this, you know,” Crowley says. There’s a certain brightness to her golden eyes in the evening light that makes the fine hair on Aziraphale’s arms prickle with something like frisson, or perhaps just the physical presence of so much love. “Well, you’ve always been gorgeous to me, no matter what—but y’know what I mean.” “You should consider the breathtaking view I have from here, my love,” Aziraphale says, idly stroking the white tufts of hair on Starling’s head. She tips her face toward the window displaying their garden first, and then throws a meaningful look toward Crowley, still naked to the waist with the perfection of tiny Winnifred cradled under her arm. She looks like she was carved from alabaster and spattered with a constellation of bronze freckles, a vision of motherhood lovingly hewn into life.

Kiwi - a song-based shortfic
"Fuck! Fuck!" you did your best to keep your cursing under your breath as you tore through the streets. Should’ve known that psycho would try to chase you down. Luckily, the crowded market streets hindered him more than it did you. Turning around briefly, you caught a glimpse of him through layers of people and monsters. “Shit!” you knocked into a few people, not bothering to apologize as you went back to weaving and ducking. Doing this would get you nowhere in the long run, though. You had to find a good place to hide, somewhere that would offer protection. A place he would hate to go into.
Like that butchers shop up ahead. ‘Freshly prepared’, the sign said. Good. he hated blood. In one swift motion that you could only hope didn’t catch the attention of your pursuer, you darted into the butcher's shop and vaulted over the counter, ducking underneath immediately. As you tried to calm your breathing, you looked up with an explanation on your lips for whoever was up front of the shop today.
Your breath caught.
It was a skeleton, wearing a blue jacket over his uniform that was almost as bloodstained as his apron. Slowly, he turned to stare at you under the counter, this stranger that had just invaded his place of work. You winced at the craterous hole this revealed in the side of his head. Within the socket under that space was a single, small red light. Your explanation died on your lips.
“What…?” the skeleton asked.
“Ignore me!” you begged in a whisper, waving your hand as if to shoo away his attention.
With a shrug, he leaned down to your position… only to grab a hunk of meat from the cooler next to you. He was arranging it on the slab in front of him when the door chime announced a new presence.
“Huff, huff” you could already tell by the panting. It was him. Your life was now in the hands of this monster butcher. You couldn’t see what was happening, but you could well imagine. Your ex-boyfriend was never big on exercise, but soon he would charm his way into finding you. His charms never failed.
“Need something?” the butcher asked.
“Yeah, actually do. You uh, see a cute human girl come through here? She thought it’d be fun to play tag out there, but we really gotta get home by the time Papyrus makes dinner.”
You found yourself shivering under the counter, but miraculously kept your breathing steady. The bastard sounded so natural when he lied. One more reason you never wanted to see Sans the skeleton again.
The other skeleton, however, seemed completely uninterested. “Not my problem. Either buy something…” with a loud thwack, he brought down a cleaver on the piece of meat on his chopping board, a small spray of blood hitting the plastic visor that separated customers from such activities. “Or leave.”
Sans, however, seemed in no hurry to leave. “you sure?” but wait… was that a tinge of apprehension in his voice? Now that was uncommon. “No human girls come through here? Could I check the back…?”
The other skeleton slammed his cleaver into the cutting board. “If you wanted a tour of the freezer, we have great rates on an overnight stay.”
“Hey buddy, no need to get so defensive. I’ll go, but just… lemme know, okay?”
a growl was the only response, and when the bell rang again you hazarded a peek around the counter to see your ex-boyfriend walking out the door, hands shoved in the pockets of his blue jacket and skull covered in sweat. With a huge sigh of relief, you deflated against the cooler. You would give almost anything for a smoke right now. Or a hard drink. Unfortunately, both were far from your reach. Instead you took out a sweet mint from a tin in your pocket and popped it in your mouth.
“...never seen him that mad.”
Your head shot up to look at the butcher, who wasn’t looking at you and was now chopping the rest of the meat much more calmly. “...I have,” was your only reply.
“Damn. trouble in paradise?”
You snorted. “Hardly paradise.” After that there was quiet for a while, save for the sound of a knife on a cutting board. Finally, you gave in. “I told him I was having his baby.”
The chopping stopped, and the skeleton’s head swiveled to face you. “How’d that make him so mad?”
“Well, right after, I told him it was none of his business.”
He offered a blank stare, before his teeth separated much farther than you assumed would be possible for a human, and he let out a deep, rigning laugh. “AHAHAHAHA! None of his business! That’s beautiful! Bet the bastard loved that!”
Allowing yourself to at least smirk, you agreed. “Oh yeah, it's why I got into a fun little footrace with my lunatic ex. Thanks for saving me, by the way.”
The skeleton attempted to calm his laughter, a clearish liquid leaking from his eye sockets. “Haha, yeah, no problem.”
You looked at his jacket again, this time no longer reminded of the similar one Sans wore. “You don't have a nametag.”
“Nope.”
“So what’s my savior’s name?”
For a second he looked as if he was debating telling you, but eventually answered. “Butch. Yours?”
You offered a wry smile. “If I said that it’s none of your business?”

Chapter nine
ONE-SHOTS
Just a dance (Zoey x MC)
——————————————————————
Poppy:
See you then, tushi face 😉
She wrote on her phone, knowing very well what It meant: She succeeded. Again.
That was the very first time Beck had actually asked her out, which was a sign that every single move worked just right; nothing to be surprised though, she was pretty damn fabulous and she wouldn't pretend otherwise.
"It took you a while, actually." Veronica said later that day when Poppy reached out to their friends at the fraternity house. "Nor even Carter gave you so much trouble."
"Carter is just an immature boy who thought a pretty girl plus a gigantic football player were just meant to be." The blonde responded with a snap. "Beck's slightly different, they didn't care for a face. The trick is to be yourself, but not too much. It took me a while to figure that out, but now that I get it, that one is mine to be borrowed." A strange feeling of satisfaction filled her, making her smile at that thought.
"But... have you guys fuck?" Chloe asked suddenly with a confused gaze, Poppy couldn't help but roll her eyes as hard as she could while she felt how both of her friends were watching her, gosh, even Veronica left the phone aside just for that question.
"What the hell, Chloe? Not everything's about sex, you whore."
"Are you serious?" She heard her brunette friend said, intrigued. Poppy could smell the problems that what she just said was about to bring. There it was one simple rule: If Poppy wants it, Poppy has it, and it has been like this since ever. So yeah, that matter was definitely weird. "Why? Don't you tell me you're too afraid to do it."
"Of course not!" She said angrily. "I did my research, and fucking Beck’s no different from any other experience I've had. I think it is them who's not ready..." A tiny hint of concern showed up in Poppy's voice without helping it. Of course she noticed it! The relief coming from their eyes when Zoey walked into both of them, as if they were scared, and being caught in the middle was a much better option than to actually do it. She was so offended by it that she told them she had something to do and disappeared from there.
"I think it might have something to do with their life back at Farmsville. I don't know what it is, but if I get to sleep with them, I know I'd have won. That's the next step." Poppy said, taking a ballpen from her desk to write down her new goal, she was that kind of girl who loved to put her ideas on paper to think them through.
"So… You're counting on gain their trust enough to fuck them to finally control them?" Veronica pointed out, looking at Poppy as if she was a mad.
"Exactly… And all I need is tomorrow morning. It needs to be perfect and I have just the thing for it." a smirk showed off on her face, the determination of winning was written down on every single muscle of her body.
“Don’t you think you’re putting a lot more effort into it than it’s needed?” Chloe asked again.
“Mind your own business and let me do the planning, Chloe. After all, we know you forgot to pay your brain bill.”
The bitch-y mode was on. She hated when she was being questioned about her actions especially when Poppy knew that everything she has been doing was necessary to achieve a goal; her enemy was powerful, she just had to see the rankings to realize it, Beck climbed as easy as the wind, doing things in this short time than a lot of people couldn’t do in years being here and they didn’t seem as trying. She needed to have them next to her for control.
Or at least, that's what she was telling herself. Something deep down her core murmured something else, something that might be too scary to admit, so she won’t. Never. However, that went down to the trash when she saw Beck the next day. It wasn’t their looks at all, actually, it was on point as always even though it was casual; the problem was her. Poppy could feel her heart becoming warm to the sight of that stupid lamb look of theirs with that sexy yet cute fucking smile they gave her. A little red alarm sounded in her head, but it wasn’t that big of a deal, so she shoved it down.
"Hey" Beck greeted her. "You made it."
"Of course I did, I have a driver for my needs. What are we doing here?"
Beck asked her to meet them at Whitehall street at nine sharp, but they didn't tell her what to expect, so Poppy was rather curious. Beck put his hands in his pockets, raising an eyebrow playfully.
"Yeah, sure… You have money and stuff, but… have you ever seen the Statue of Liberty from a helicopter?" Poppy's eyes went wide open, she was frankly surprised, how did they manage to get that? Wasn't Beck poor? It had to do with their YouTube account?
"No." She managed to say, trying not to sound so amazed; that was a pretty impressive idea, not going to lie.
"Well— Today is not the day you'd get to do it, because we're taking the ferry." Gosh, she should have seen this coming.
"You're such an idiot." She pointed, irritated by having been fooled like that. "Wait, what ferry are we taking?"
"That one." The strawberry blond could have sworn a mischievous spark lighted up Beck's eyes as they pointed at an awful orange ship coming to shore, that ferry looked so old that maybe it saw her grandmother born and grow.
"What?! There is no way in hell I'll be onto that thing."
"Oh, come on, Popps. Don't talk about it like that. The Staten Island Ferry is full of a butch of history on its own. It's the door to new experiences!"
"Like death?"
"It's totally safe." Beck replied chuckling. "And free."
"Whatever you say, I'm going home." She tried to go, but Beck's hand took her by the arm with a delicate touch.
"Give us a chance, just one chance —well, maybe two actually— but I promise you won't regret it."
Poppy turned to see them, still not sure about any of it. She had never been on that ferry, and she didn't care too much about it anyway when the destination was Staten Island. She didn't know what was their motivation to go to the most boring part of all New York, but that fucking face of theirs! Sometimes she wished they weren't that good-looking.
"I swear to God, Beck if something happens to me or my outfit I'll kill you and your entire music career."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, Cruella."
They waited for a few minutes to get on the ferry, but once both were there, Poppy couldn't help but cling herself to Beck's arm. Truth be told, she hated boats. A lot. Once when she was a kid she fell from one of those little keels into the lake, and when she tried to come out, Poppy discovered that the boat was right above her head. She literally had nightmares about that day, especially on rainy days. With the time Poppy got to overcome that fear and now she loved to be invited to yacht parties —with the rightful security system, clearly—, but that ferry was ancient for god knows how many decades, and it being free was a bad forerunner to her, how many drowned people were behind all its story?
She jumped when the ferry started to move into the waters, the surprise was so much that her nails dug their way into Beck's clothes, reaching for the skin.
"Ouch! That fucking hurts!"
"Good."
Beck didn't say a thing after that, they were more focused on the shore as if they were waiting for something to happen back there. Then, after a while they smiled.
"Now that's a view." They said with a wide grin on their face. "Turn around." Poppy, who was too busy looking at the Upper Bay and thinking how awful would be to fall from there, suddenly found herself being turned over by Beck to the other side of the ship.
And what she saw was spectacular.
Maybe it wasn't from a helicopter at all, but getting to see that part of the Statue of Liberty going far and far away from them both was incredible, a breathtaking picture that she had never appreciated until that day. Unexpectedly that made her think about how much she was missing even after living in New York a while now: The smell of the ocean, the sea breeze hitting softly in her face, the sun illuminated the statue and the clouds behind it. It was like a painting coming out alive.
"It's beautiful…" she whispered without her noticing it until it was outside her mouth.
"Definitely it is…" Poppy heard Beck mumbled, so she looked at them almost immediately. Maybe it was one of those moments in movies where Beck would talk about her and not exactly the panorama, but no. Beck's eyes were glued to the sculpture. For a moment she felt disappointed, but then she caught a glimpse of blush into their cheeks and tension in their lips proving her that she wasn't wrong. Yes, definitely they were talking about her.
"I know it doesn't look as fancy as the other ferries, but… this is why it's worth the while. And I have to admit that watching it with you was so much better than doing it alone, so... thank you."
“Why?"
"For trusting in me." They said. Poppy stopped a little, thinking through those words.
"I guess I like you more than I thought." She then replied. The weird thing? The blonde actually meant what she said. But that didn’t mean anything, Beck was not as lame as she thought, no big deal, right?
Both spent a while like that, quiet but freely relaxed, looking at what the ocean had to offer. She didn't recall the exact moment when she started to do it, but at one point she laid down her head, resting it on Beck's shoulder while they hugged by the waist, it was as if in that exact moment nothing else mattered; she didn’t have to think about her obligations, about popularity, about pretending . The ride was about twenty-five minutes long but for some reason, they went very fast. She almost was disappointed when it came to an end until she remembered there was only one way back.
“So now what? We wait for the next ferry?”
Beck raised an eyebrow.
"Do you really think we came all the way here because of one ride?"
"Beck, is Staten Island. What else could you do?"
"Damn, Poppy. I'm starting to think you're too boring on your own." Beck teased
" What if you stop saying bullshit and tell me what do you have planned from now on instead?" Beck smiled as if they were waiting for that question.
"Come with and find out." That cursed smirk of theirs came as a challenge, while Beck started to walk towards the bus stop.
God, this was going to be terrible.

Aces in Spaces Chapter 3
Hey everyone! I think my plan going forward will be to post new chapters on Mondays so in light of that, here’s the next one!
Summary: Roman gives Butcher the run down and explanation of Asexuality and how it pertains to Erica, warning for excessive cuteness from both. This takes place within a week of the last chapter.
(Chapter 2 can be found here and Chapter 1 here)
Tags: @princessxkenobi @sunshinepascal @rentskenobi @maybege @obaby-wan
If anyone else would like to be tagged let me know?
“Butcher, Erica is an Asexual”. The other man blinks at him and he realizes this may not be an easy fix. “It means, she doesn’t experience sexual attraction.” He takes the moment that the other man spends in confusion to turn on the projector on the table and stands so he can see the slides and Butch in the same space. The first slide is the only opening template that Microsoft power point had that didn’t make him want to roll his eyes so hard they rolled back into his skull, but now that he’s standing in front of Butch he’s convinced it really was just as bad as the others. ‘Asexuality, what it means, what it’s like, and what our response should be’ is written across it in big bolded letters and he takes comfort in the fact that Butch has always been a good listener before, and certainly seems to like Erica, so he should have his attention. He clicks to the next slide, intent on making sure not a single detail is missed, he starts to read the definition he’d gotten of the internet before turning to Butch.
“Did you read the title? I suppose since it’s the two of us this could be more of a discussion, it’ll have to be a briefing when I give it to the boys.”
Butch’s thoughtful face hasn’t uncrumpled itself, nor have his eyes left the screen but Roman’s patient, this is important and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to help Erica.
Butcher closes his mouth to purse his lips before speaking. “So, she likes you for your personality?”
Roman shrugs “I know. I was surprised too.” He says it casually and Butch huffs a laugh, Roman pauses before joining him, it is a funny thought, for how many people have told him he’s incredibly disagreeable. Assuming Butch has absorbed the definition on the screen he continues. “I’ve known for a little while now, but I wanted to be sure she was comfortable coming out before I briefed everyone.”
Butcher nods again. “How do we, is she like a nun?” he leans forward to emphasize the question and Roman turns back to the screen taking a breath.
“Well, that’s the thing. Asexuality is a spectrum, there’s a lot of different types.”
“Like a box of chocolates.” Butch says sagely, and Roman considers it before nodding
“Yes, well. I suppose so. The common denominator is that they don’t experience sexual attraction. Some still enjoy sex, some only with certain people, and some not at all, those are sex-repulsed.” He clicks the button to switch slides again, “Let’s outline the different types of attraction quickly.”
Butch is nodding again, “Yeah, that’s a good start”
“Sexual attraction is wanting to have sex with someone” Roman says it despite how crass it sounds and carries on “Platonic attraction, is wanting to be friends with someone. Aesthetic attraction is thinking something is pretty, wanting to look at it, a painting maybe.” He pauses, having gone through a slide for each definition that featured the pictures he thought best explained each and a few that Erica had suggested in her edits. He turns to Butch “I’d like to add this isn’t all inclusive by any means, I’m still learning, which is why I found a support group that I’d like to start going to, I don’t think I’ll need a guard but you do like to be aware of my schedule.” He turns back to the screen to resume before Butch cuts in, eyes never leaving the slide. “I’ll be along with you then, can’t let you wander around the city alone.”
Roman almost wants to ask if Butch heard what he said but the man says it with such a finality that he doesn’t see the point in arguing. “Well, in general, since Aces, that’s another name for them, don’t experience this attraction, it’s quite common for things that allude to it to go over their heads. The car ride earlier this week for example, Erica hadn’t meant to approach me in that way and was incredibly confused when you left.”
Butcher now looks horrified “Oh, Boss, I never meant—”
Roman shakes his head “She took no offense, it’s just not a place her mind goes.”
The sentiment obviously does little to comfort Butcher and he says as much before adding “I feel like I called her, a, well a whore Boss. I never ever would do a thing like that—” Butcher’s gentle upbringing where women are concerned is making itself known and Roman really needs to send his mother a ‘thank you’ card because it really does help them work well together. “She didn’t feel that way about it at all, I’m mostly telling you this so you can watch for if others try to suggest things to her.” Butcher’s face clears a little in understanding before Roman goes on “She’s handled herself extremely well before knowing me, we both know that, but, well, if someone is getting, well you know, and she isn’t understanding then just get rid of them, yes?”
Butcher’s face is now completely serious and even a little threatening “Consider it done Boss.”
Roman maintains his business demeanor but inside he’s positively thrilled, this is going even better than he thought. “Now I want to talk about Erica specifically, she told me a bit about how she fits into the ace spectrum and its vital for our forward plan.” He hopes Butcher is appreciating that he’s using the same format they do when they discuss upcoming business meetings and the protocols necessary for each one (location, parties involved, and prior contact, etc.) because this really is just as important to him as business. This next part is going to be the hardest though, he spent a whole night on it, because how exactly do you talk about someone’s sex life (or lack thereof) and not make it seem demeaning or judgmental or any other terrible thing? In the end he’d thrown himself on Erica’s mercy and asked how she’d prefer it to be done. He’d even offered to let her come talk to Butch herself, but she had told him she was certain Butch wouldn’t judge her.
“Now, without invading her privacy, she is an ace; so, I want to keep sex related things away from her as best we can. No dirty jokes, no crude gestures, no crass people if we can help it.”
Butch is nodding along with each condition and Roman wants to breathe a sigh of relief because being vague was the best way he knew to keep her dignity. “Any questions?” Butch pauses and shakes his head before pausing again and opening his mouth “Are there, slurs, we should know? Like, if someone calls her a nun, do we get to hit them?”
Roman beams. “That’s my next topic.” He clicks the remote again and he’s suddenly realizing he missed clicking buttons, Butcher usually gives these briefings as the head of security, have to file that away for later. “Some responses aces get when they come out is that they just haven’t met the right person, they’re a later bloomer, or that they haven’t had sex with the right people. Obviously, all of these are incredibly insensitive and downright rude. If someone says these things, feel free to immediately remove them from the premises.” Now its Butcher’s turn to beam, and Roman clicks the remote again “On a lighter note, some aces really prefer food to sex and this definitely applies to Erica. She has said, and I quote, ‘sex may be great but have people ever tried beefy 5-layer burritos?’. Aces also seem to have claimed dragons as their mascot, big ones, little ones, all colors, wings or not, dragons are where it’s at.” The slide for this section is a collage of dragons and when he’d seen Erica light up at viewing it, he’s so glad he included it.
Butcher interrupts his daydreaming with a raised hand “Are stuffed dragons acceptable?”
Roman smiles, “Yes, Erica loves small soft things. I, however, am an outlier and should not be counted.”
Butch snorts at this but Roman decides to ignore him. “As always, it’s no one’s business what she and I do together, but if someone does start giving her a hard time about this, I want you to step in. Only if she gives you a direct signal not to, should you wait.” Roman pauses then, giving an amused hum “but, if she does do that, that means she’s already got a plan to absolutely destroy the person herself so stick around for the fun because that gorgeous woman knows her way around a good insult.”
Butcher furrows his brow at this, “Are you allowed to say that? Can you, say things about her, physical, ness?”
Roman pauses before answering because this was a conversation he’d had with Erica after she came out. He had called her sexy once before and noticed the small bit of hesitation before she had smiled and changed the subject. When he brought it up in light of coming out, she had said she didn’t want to lead him on. She knew her body fit under society’s definition of ‘sexy’, but she didn’t have any intentions of performing the action, so she shied away from the designation. He’d tried to compensate afterward, only complementing her personality or intelligence before Erica had once again set him down and said she didn’t mind being told she was pretty, he’d taken the moment to ask if this meant he could compliment her aesthetically instead of sexually? She had grabbed in him in a hug. He learned this was one of her favorite words and that yes, she would be thrilled to receive compliments on her aesthetic. It’s this sentiment that he conveys to Butch, though he isn’t sure he likes the idea of Butch complimenting her. He swallows the jealousy though, he’s an adult and so is she, he trusts Butch, and Erica, and that extends to conversations they may have.
“I don’t plan to butter her up boss, just looking to make sure I understand all the circumstances that warrant the use of force.” Butch affirms calmly and Roman knows it’s the truth, he scolds himself for thinking otherwise.
“I want to move on to something else that I think is important to mention. There is another sexuality called Aromantic. It means that someone doesn’t experience romantic attraction. Erica defined romantic attraction as ‘I would slow dance in the kitchen with that person in my pajamas as we wait for coffee in the morning’. While it is possible for someone to be both Aromantic and Asexual, aro/ace is the abbreviation, Erica is not. She has said she does experience romantic attraction. Albeit very rarely.” Roman softens a bit picturing himself and Erica in the scenario he’s just described, it’s warm, easy, and while it’s probably too soon to ask her to move in so they can share their mornings, he’s definitely jotting slow dancing down for a date idea. He forces himself back to the present again and fixes Butch with a look “Any questions?”
Butch leans back in his chair and folds his massive arms across his chest as much as his jacket allows before pursing his lips and narrowing his eyes again. “This support group you mentioned, where’s that at?”
Roman clicks the remote again, this slide has a map of about five city blocks as well as the floor plan of the local library that is adjoined to the community center (he may find some of the security briefings a little too detailed but he knows what essentials Butch likes to have by now). “it’s at the local community center, heard about it on the internet” He leaves out that he spent four hours looking for one before he found a random Facebook post about it on the fourth page of chrome results but he figures his dedication is obvious either way at this point. Butch is already typing on his phone, no doubt tasking someone with retrieving more information about the whole affair.
“Do you want a scout to go in first?”
“No” Roman has already thought about this, the likelihood of it being a setup is pretty slim, and he wants to keep the business part of his life out of this as much as he can, for the sake of the other attendees. “I think it’s safe enough to go ahead.”
“Date? Time?”
“Fridays, noon, and its usually about an hour but I’d like to clear the whole afternoon indefinitely”
Butch nods along to the sentence, still typing on his phone before finishing and putting it back into his coat. “Anything else I should know?”
“Yes, I want you to schedule a meeting with the rest of the team, anyone who’ll interact with Erica, I don’t intend for there to be any misunderstandings.”
Butcher grimaces at that, “I really didn’t mean to upset her about that boss, any chance I can apologize for that?”
Roman knows Erica would say it was unnecessary, maybe even brush Butcher off, but he also wants her to know he’s taking the utmost care (Butch is too) to make sure she’s comfortable; so he nods before answering “I know she isn’t offended, but I wouldn’t mind if you did”. It has the potential to build trust between them if nothing else, and if Erica decides she wants to stick around, trusting Butcher will be integral to that process.

10 female characters tag
@timothydraike tagged me to post 10 favourite female characters from 10 different fandoms and then tag 10 people, but honestly this list isn't gonna be too different from my 10 fave characters list cause most of them are women anyway 😂 😂 but here you go:
Nausicäa // Nausicäa of the Valley of the Wind, Studio Ghibli
I didn't explain it last time, but I feel like she is the prototype for all the Ghibli girl heroines, free and autonomous, except she's a young woman who knows exactly what she believes in and wants to do. She's a warrior princess who believes in peace and kindness rather than war; she listens to mother nature and tends to her garden as deftly as she handles her glider jet; she's a born leader who puts her subjects' wellbeing before her own immediate safety. This gif here shows the moment she took of her own gas mask to boost morale while they're crashing into a toxic wasteland. I don't think I've seen many representations of female leadership as compelling and utterly human as hers was before or after this film debuted in popular media.
Harley Quinn // DCU
She's a bundle of contradictions but it's in that I find a female antivillain/antihero that feels real. Her stocky build and bit of chub in the tummy area? Real. Her slobbish habits and love for nasty junk food? Real. Her all encompassing empathy for animal welfare? Real. Disregarding the artists that draw her with too big boobs, she's so ordinary in her appearance and habits that it actually feels like she's the kind of girl that media often overlooks. She's like the manic pixie dream girl but rounded out with relatable human traits.
Tsunemori Akane // Psycho-Pass
I related to her when I was 20 (exactly her age at the start of the series) because I was at a crossroads in life, just as she was. I was searching for my calling, just as she was trying to understand her purpose and place in society. And at that point in my life, I could appreciate the duality between abiding by the system (legal reformation) and questioning the system (dipping into revolutionary ideas). I can't see myself relating to a cop anymore now obviously, but she's a rather unique figure that I still think about.
Ava // Ex Machina (2014), filmblr
She brings out all my post-humanist sympathies. And I think she captures a sort of queer android and Other perspective, one that the male characters feel threatened by, that women can understand well.
Maeve Millay // Westworld
She's my murder mom. Something something about "I've died a thousand times, I'm not afraid of death" (I'm paraphrasing majorly), she's so badass. The fact that she was one of the first androids to awaken and actually challenge the humans, there's so much power in her taking her trauma in stride and moving forward nonetheless. And I think you can see a recurring theme here lolol
Lois Lane (Gotham City Garage) // DCU Elseworlds

Perhaps this is just preserving a core attribute of her main continuity counterpart, but I absolutely adore the spirit she embodies of journalists who stay defiantly committed to truth and justice in the face of insurmountable odds. Fighting against a fascist terror regime - which hits very close to home - and keeping the broadcast going even out in the wasteland. In this last aspect she carries similarities to Dr. Death Defying's character from Gerard Way's Killjoys series, except she's a woman and she was actually fleshed out as a character with a heart and soul and a lot of gravitas. How can you not love her?
(and I forgot this was supposed to be 10 characters from 10 different fandoms until I finished this list but let's say her being an Elseworlds character counts as a different fandom 🤡🤡)
Ripley // Alien (even tho Sigourney Weaver's personal politics is a bit yikes)
The proto-final girl and original warrior mother in sci-fi wrapped into one. (Ok, the crown for modern scifi warrior mother might have to go to Sarah Connor actually, but that's also another Cameron invention so they can share that title.) Even tho I can't relate to most of her character arc, I'm still very impressed by her character. They even touch on her PTSD a little which is unheard of in the contemporary movies at the time.
Honorary mention: Sarah Connor // Terminator
Marceline the Vampire Queen // Adventure Time
Not the original goth gf, but she is a goth gf. Gay and aesthetics aside, I really liked that the show let her be a bit weird and gross (which she should be considering she's kind of undead) and her tragic backstory gets me every time. The best thing is she's still a big softie, who takes good care of Ice King / Simon when he's around; you don't see that kind of (grand)daughter character in media much.
Beverly Marsh // It (2017)
I haven't read the book but tbh I liked the agency the first movie awarded her enough that I'm afraid of jeopardising it; I don't like how the book portrays / handles her sexuality. She is a survivor of csa, but she's a fighter regardless. I like that about her.
Darlene Alderson // Mr. Robot
I honestly debated putting her on this list again since I haven't seen a single Mr. Robot episode in so long, but I do remember her character being given her own arc in S2 (and onwards I suppose) and she's a little fucked up in her own way. People look at Rami's character and get sucked in sorting through his alters but Darlene is no less complex - damaged, dangerous, and compelling.
Other honorary mentions:
Riko Sheridan // DCU (an Asian girl who isn't infantilised or reduced to the model minority? shocker!)
Missy // Colette (2018), filmblr (she's actually a real historical figure so I'm not sure if she counts. But she's so radical and ahead of her time - in fact the film seems to suggest she prefers he/him pronouns. I have never seen such intriguing butch representation and I just fell in love with her character. Worth a watch.)
Jo March // Little Women (2019), filmblr (since we're talking about historical women... well, she's a period film character but not a real one, but she's highly evocative of certain female experiences in much the same way)
Blue // The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys (so I didn't wanna crowd this list with too many android ladies but she's the first queer android girl character I came across and I loved her instantly. Too bad they buried her gay but her entire concept is my aesthetic)
Rem // Death Note (I feel like I'm obligated to mention DN, too bad it has shitty writing wrt female characters, that's why I have no choice but to stan the lesbian monster gf friend who is so in love with her gal pal she would die for her. Ugh, poetic cinema)
Ok now I am gonna tag @lawliyeeeet @sweetgloss @dressed-to-keehl @3dnygma @hikenacedabi and anyone else who wants to I guess

As many of you are aware, WWE Network is pretty packed with all sorts of content. And as you may also know, we here at Place to Be Nation love long term, in depth projects. So, as part of this initiative, members of the PTBN Staff are choosing programs that coincide with this week in history and after watching each program, they will share their thoughts, notes and recommendations with our readers. So, settle in and enjoy this epic ride through wrestling history!
Show: Mid South Wrestling 5/26/1984
Best Segment:
Dave Hall: The highlights of Magnum TA winning the North American Title stood out as the best moment on the show. The commentary highlighted how important this moment was, reminding everyone of the history between Magnum and Mr Wrestling, and putting over how significant it was that Magnum had finally captured the title. I never really saw Magnum in action down here in Australia, so this was a good moment for me, to see how smooth he was in the ring and how much charisma he had. Can clearly see why everyone holds him in such high regards
Calum McDougall: I like Jim Cornette’s interview after the tag title match. He was excellent in talking his way around the controversy (even though there shouldn’t even be controversy since it was No DQ) and it shows why Cornette is so highly regarded as a manager. The video issues didn’t bother me because at least we can still see this stuff in 2019. I’ve had never seen any Mid-South before this so that I can see any of it at a few clicks of a button on my phone is worth a small bit of video interference.
Jacob Williams: The early video package did such a great job of telling the story of Mr. Wrestling and Magnum TA’s feud. The voiceover was maybe a tad overbearing at times and could have let the wrestling breathe a bit, but it immediately orients you with the simple, effective story they were telling, and put over Magnum as a rising star.
Brian Bayless: The highlights of Magnum TA defeating Mr. Wrestling to win the North American Heavyweight Title were great. This was an amazing feud and had a ton of heat from the crowd pelting Mr. Wrestling with trash to erupting after Magnum TA foiled Mr. Wrestling’s plan by having Mr. Wrestling II (Hercules Hernandez under a mask) come out to interfere. I would love to see this entire match and if the WWE did acquire it in purchasing the Mid-South library it would make for a good hidden gem on the WWE Network.
Steve Riddle: I will go with the recap of Magnum TA winning the North American Title from Mr. Wrestling. The match had been built up really well with Mr. Wrestling taking Magnum under his wing and eventually turning on him, and this was a huge win for Magnum who was clearly being positioned as one of the new top faces of the company.
Chad Campbell: Magnum TA winning the North American Title was a big moment that was the first step to launching what should have been a HOF career. Mr. Wrestling was a good foil and unique character and the clips of the match from Tulsa that we saw looked good. I like how they transition the feud from Magnum vs Mr. Wrestling to Mr. Wrestling II by the end of the show.
Best Match:
Dave Hall: The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express vs The Midnight Express. There was only one choice on this show. Apart from really being the only match on the show, this was a good match anyway, with a unique finish. I like that both teams used the “No DQ” rule to their advantage, especially seeing Ricky Morton throwing someone over the top rope. Cornette’s interference was well-timed, and the out of the ring spot that “busted” Bobby Eaton open was very good. I loved how Cornette clearly showed everyone what he was doing with the rag, and then entered the ring to put Gibson out of action. The only issue I had with the match is trying to work out why the ref was not in the ring at that moment
Calum McDougall: With only one real match on the show it would have to be the Midnight Express vs. Rock ‘N’ Roll Express. It was a good match and you could tell that these two teams had great chemistry and could have even better matches given more time than what you could have on TV. It was a decent enough match even though it had a finish that El Gigante would be proud of with a rag of “medical substance”.
Jacob Williams: Well, we didn’t have to work hard to get to this pick. Despite not showing everything they had in this fairly quick TV match, the Midnight Express vs. Rock ‘N’ Roll Express match was still high energy and had enough to illustrate why this feud is so famous. I loved how they worked this frenetic pace while still selling and building heat. The ether didn’t come off as overly goofy to me, and it put the heat on the heels until the next episode.
Brian Bayless: Easy choice this week with the Rock ‘N’ Roll Express vs. Midnight Express in a match for the Tag Team Titles and $50,000 and the other match on the show being a quick squash match. Good match that saw the Midnights cheat to win back the Tag Team Titles as Cornette used the ether rag on Robert Gibson. Both teams had tremendous chemistry together and the RnR’s were insanely over with the fans to give this match a ton of heat. Their feud was also a blast to watch and one of the best tag team feuds of the entire decade.
Steve Riddle: With a limited list this week, it is a pretty easy choice and that is the battle of the Expresses for the Mid-South Tag Titles and $50,000. This was one of the best feuds of the 1980s and this was a good showcase for the two teams even though we didn’t see the whole thing due to being on TV with commercials. Having really only seen a lot of the Eaton/Lane version of the Midnight Express, this was a good chance to see Eaton and Condrey at their peak and they had really good chemistry together. Coupled that with the Rock ‘N’ Roll Express really hitting their stride as well, and you have yourself a solid no-DQ match and Cornette makes the difference as he helps his boys regain the titles and keep the money.
Chad Campbell: Slam dunk pick this time with only two matches and Landel vs. Ragin lasting about 20 seconds. This edition of the Midnight Express vs. RNR Express was a good sampler for someone that had never seen those teams mix it up before. The match only lasted around 10 minutes and had a great mixtures of RNR shine, Midnight domination with Morton as FIP and Cornette being an integral part of the overall proceedings. The finish feels a bit hokey now but was more unique and groundbreaking on TV in 1984.
Most Cringeworthy Moment:
Dave Hall: Sonny King’s interview. I really struggled with this interview. Apart from the fact that when he first appeared I thought it was Virgil, King made the whole interview about race. He was talking about Butch Reed’s attack on Junkyard Dog, which could have been put over as angry his friend was attacked, not good that such a popular competitor was attacked, but instead Sonny King focused on the fact that they are both black wrestlers and it was all about the impact of black men fighting each other. I really struggled with this interview
Calum McDougall: I felt uncomfortable watching the whole angle with JYD, Butch Reed and Buddy Landell and it’s not so subtle racial overtones. It was 35 years ago and not everything can age well but my god that was bad!
Jacob Williams: Watching JYD get tarred and feathered definitely made me wince a bit, especially given some of Watts’s past comments on race.
Brian Bayless: The racial overtones of the Sonny King interview and Butch Reed vs. JYD feud certainly do not hold up today and even considering the era was in really poor taste. And King’s promo itself was all over the place.
Steve Riddle: In today’s edition of “Stuff you would never see on TV in 2019”, we have the segment where Butch Reed and Buddy Landel tar and feather the Junkyard Dog. Now it worked back in 1984 and would lead to a pretty hot feud, but it was pretty uncomfortable watching it and JYD covered in feathers was a pretty bizarre sight. I will say though I don’t know which was worse, that segment or Sonny King trying to piece a promo together because he was terrible.
Chad Campbell: The tar and feather angle setup was one that Memphis liked to go to from time to time but it ages extremely poorly and brings back unneeded visions of huge racial discrimination divides in the South in the 1960s. Overall, race in this episode is something to ponder given Watts’ track record from a historical standpoint. There were plenty of African American talents showcased but most had one unfortunate stereotype or misstep, such as Ragin loving to dance.
Funniest Line/Moment:
Dave Hall: Once again we have Jim Cornette saving this award with his interview after the Midnight Express won. Jim Ross’ insistence to say that Cornette cheated when the match was a “No DQ” match annoyed me, and it looks like it annoyed Cornette as well. His line “We’d have a nice conversation if you stopped interrupting me” made me laugh out loud, and then his explanation that he “always carries a complete first aid kit at ringside” was hilarious. Thank you once again Jim Cornette
Calum McDougall: I had a chuckle when Watts said that the cameras would keep rolling during a commercial break and that we would get a video tape replay if anything happened. Very strange to hear this as a selling point when its just expected in 2019, but this would’ve been a big deal in ’84 and it gave me a laugh because of it.
Jacob Williams: Since there wasn’t much humor in the actual show, I’ll pick any time I could see the hyped up guy in the crowd sporting a full body confederate flag shirt and mask (maybe for Mr. Wrestling?) as my funniest moment.
Brian Bayless: Cornette was amusing at times in the post-match interview with Ross but Mid-South was not a promotion known for its comedy.
Steve Riddle: There wasn’t much in terms of this category, but I guess I will go with Buddy Landel getting no entrance while his opponent does and then he loses by intentional DQ in less than a minute.
Chad Campbell: Mid-South was known as a serious wrestling program and that is displayed in this episode with Watts and Boyd Pierce calling the action straight as an arrow. The only comic relief came from some one liners Cornette fired off against Jim Ross after the Midnights won the tag titles.
Highlights:
Dave Hall: The highlights are what has already been spoken of: The Midnights vs. the Rock “N” Rolls and the title win by Magnum TA really held this show together, along with the post-match interview with Jim Cornette. They also did a good job of pushing the Junkyard Dog vs Butch Reed feud. I was impressed with what I saw of Butch Reed, which was better than anything I saw of him in WWF/E.
Calum McDougall: I loved Boyd Pierce’s matching jacket and tie, it was a powerful statement outfit. In a time where you have to suffer sit through three hours of Raw every week, it was refreshing to watch a crisp and concise 40 minute program, and one with a pretty good match and title change to boot.
Jacob Williams: For what its worth, I did at least appreciate the intensity from everyone involved in the tar and feather segment. JYD stayed cool after the attack, and Butch Reed was on fire as a heel. Bill Watts does a great job of putting over the angles and stories on commentary. The interviewers were great too, always putting across how despicable the heels are to build heat. I liked Sonny’s involvement coming out to save Ragin. His shoutouts to my home state of Louisiana also earned him a few bonus points. Cornette proves here that he clearly had “it” from an early age, in both his work during and after the match.
Brian Bayless: Boyd Pierce’s suits are always a highlight on any Mid-South show. The North American Heavyweight Title switch had a great finish and its always great to see a crowd react that well to a win. Plus, they kept the feud hot by announcing Magnum vs. Mr. Wrestling II for next week. The Tag Team Title match was superb with a strong interview afterwards with Eaton’s head all bandaged up when he was busted open after getting rammed into the post. And I liked how later on in the show they had Watts tell us that despite what happened, the Rock ‘N’ Roll Express are going to be at the Superdome show to seek revenge. And Despite the racial overtones, the tar-and-feather segment did feature great character work by Reed and JYD.
Steve Riddle: It is always funny when they have an actual check available whenever money is involved; Bill Watts was a pretty solid commentator in the 1980s; Huge moment when Magnum TA won the North American Title from his mentor Mr. Wrestling; As cringy as it was, that was a unique moment seeing Butch Reed and Buddy Landel tar and feather JYD; Jim Cornette will always be one of the greatest talkers and managers in history; It is weird seeing young Jim Ross after seeing him so long throughout the last two decades; In terms of tag wrestling, it will never get better than the Rock ‘N’ Roll Express and Midnight Express; Funny they had to bandage Bobby Eaton up quickly since he had to be back out after the match for an interview; As bad as his promo was, they made Sonny King look strong by fighting off Reed and Landel; Good promo by Mr. Wrestling II setting up the match between him and Magnum TA next week
Chad Campbell: Boyd Pierce’s jacket is always a highlight. Butch Reed was the most effective heel we saw in the program besides the Midnight Express and he was a main event presence within Mid-South. I enjoyed seeing them use footage from the Memphis television program. We are around two months out from Black Saturday and it was imperative that the territories teamed up to combat the expansion of the WWF. The Landel/Sonny King/Butch Reed brawl was effective and showcased Sonny King in an effective manner.
Lowlights:
Dave Hall: The Buddy Landell squash match was very poor, with his opponent screwing up moves and looking very bad in the ring. Sonny King’s interview was horrible, as was his involvement “making the save” during the Buddy Landell match
Calum McDougall: I did not like Bill Watts’ commentary. I understand it was a straight-laced product but I found his commentary very dry. The dreaded over-the-top rope DQ rears its ugly head here in a pointless match and makes Landell look like a mug – he gets the jobber entrance, gets DQ’d albeit intentionally then can’t take advantage of a 2-on-1 attack.
Jacob Williams: Though I generally like Watts’s commentary, he did annoy me a bit with how much he would repeat certain points. After 300 times, we get that going over the top rope can be a DQ. I wished we could have gotten a little more wrestling on the show.
Brian Bayless: Pierce might have had a colorful wardrobe but he was practically non-existent on commentary. And Watts was overbearing as usual. The Buddy Landel squash to set up King coming out for the save probably did not need to take place. They could have set this up during King’s interview.
Steve Riddle: I know it was the 80s and we were still in the territory days, but the ring used during the Magnum/Mr. Wrestling match looks so bush league; Sonny King promo; You know it’s the 80s when there are issues with the video feed; Buddy Landel gets himself DQ’d in a jobber squash.
Chad Campbell: Ragin vs. Landel was a waste of a match as it was used as a setup to the angle that was going to follow. The finish of the Midnights vs RNR Express match could have seemed flat in 2019 eyes.
Wild Card Baby!
Dave Hall: It’s My Show, so I’ll do the talking: Bill Watts… At the start of the program we are informed that Bill Watts is the special guest commentator for this week’s episode. We are then subjected to Bill Watts essentially doing all the play-by-play, the analysis, the crossing to the interviews and the reviews of major angles. For a guest commentator, he sure didn’t let the main play-by-play guy do much. The way he went, I was surprised he didn’t get up and conduct the interview with Jim Cornette either. I know you are the owner and booker Bill, but this was overkill.
Calum McDougall: That Sinking Feeling When… You see the warning of “Suggestive Language” and you know that Bill Watts, a man known for making racist comment or two in his time is coming up, that’s a cause for concern.
Jacob Williams: Best Promo: Corny’s post match interview, where he gives an absurd explanation for why he had an ether soaked rag, was gold.
Brian Bayless: Best Tidbits: The WWE Network version of this show cut out an ad for the “Super Date at the Super Dome” show voiced over by Jim Ross that shows the Rock ‘N’ Roll Express in various poses while “Jump” from Van Halen plays. Ross puts over how you can win a date with the team and you can be eligible as long as you are an “unmarried” female that is 18 years old or older and have to send in a photo and in 25 words or less say why you want to go on the date as the address to send this flashes on the screen. Understandable that it was cut due to the music but this was truly amazing to see.
Steve Riddle: Creative Cheater of 1984: Jim Cornette using a rag to smother Robert Gibson and hide it from the ref even though the match was no-DQ.
Chad Campbell: Underrated Worker: I would expect given their WCW appearances that the Lane/Eaton Midnight version is the one that most casual fans are familiar with. I think from an overall package, the Condrey/Eaton pairing may be more effective based on their Mid-South, Memphis and World Class footage that is available. Loverboy Dennis is a more grounded heel that isn’t afraid to mix it up and make an ass of himself.
Final Thoughts:
Dave Hall: Overall I really enjoyed this episode of Mid-South. I had never seen one before, and the action was good. With the Midnights and Rock “N” Rolls dominating most of the show, I guess it would be hard not to enjoy it, but throw on top of that highlights of your new rising top star winning the major championship of the region, and coverage of a building feud between two top guys, and this was really good. I may take the time to watch some more Mid-South cards. 7/10
Calum McDougall: Overall I thought this was a pretty decent show. It was a quick and easy watch with some well known faces on show. The tag title match was good for TV and we got a title change, well, two if you include the Magnum TA/Mr. Wrestling highlight package. Most of the show was inoffensive, apart from the obvious, and it is far from the worst thing I’ve watched. 6/10
Jacob Williams: For clocking in at under forty minutes, this was an incredibly efficient show that gave time to multiple angles. It flew by, but at the same time, it felt like a lot of meaningful stuff happened in that short window, which is a testament to how well it was constructed. Add a legitimate, competitive tag bout to all of that, and it made for a pretty fun program that I wouldn’t mind returning to. 6/10
Brian Bayless: We saw two title changes on this show back in an era when they were taken more seriously and saw some of Mid-South’s best feuds in Magnum/Mr. Wrestling and Midnights/RnR’s. The racial stuff was not something I enjoyed but overall this was a fairly strong hour of television during a time when this promotion was putting out one of the most exciting products in North America. 6.5/10
Steve Riddle: This was a pretty quick watch and it was cool going back to watch this show as I have seen very little of Mid-South. This was a pivotal time for the territories as the WWF were a short time away from their national expansion, so the territories were about to be raided with a lot of their biggest names being taken away. Despite this, Mid-South still had plenty of talent to sustain their territory as we had the two best tag teams showcased here while also having their new young gun Magnum TA showcased as well. It was clear Magnum was being groomed to be a future star since the longtime star of Mid-South, the Junkyard Dog was going to be leaving soon so someone was going to have to fill that void. Overall, the show was a pretty basic TV show with a solid tag match and some good segments to highlight other things going on. 5.5/10
Chad Campbell: This was a breezy show clocking in at just 38 minutes. Mid-South produced exciting tv in a tight package around this time with tv matches that actually had stakes. It was unique among the territories and effective in rewatching. Watts and Pierce presenting everything as a serious sports manner also provided a differentiation to watching the product compared to other promotions. 5/10

Sorry for taking so long to respond - this ended up being long so I’ll put a ‘read more’ after question 10 and ended up skipping two questions - one for needing more research into it and the other I need to figure out more about the characters first.
1. Which Fallout game are they from?
Francis is from Fallout 3.Winter and Summer Torres and Natya are from Fallout 4.
2. Which faction(s) did they join and which did they destroy? Why?
Francis temporarily teamed up with the Brotherhood of Steel but he isn't a part of any fraction. Both Summer and Winter are part of the minutemen and Natya would eventually join the underground. As for which fraction they destroy (if applicable), I'm not far enough that I have to make that decision.
3. What is their S.P.E.C.I.A.L.?
Francis: 4, 3, 4, 2, 9, 4, 2 (his stats in FO4 - I don't play FO3 so I don't have his old stats at this moment but I wrote it down somewhere so I'll update this when I do)Winter: 6+, 5, 6, 6, 6, 5, 3Summer: 2, 3, 2, 7, 5, 3, 8Natya: 4, 3, 4, 2, 9, 4, 2
9. How much do they care about their outer appearance? What’s their “beauty routine”? How often do they shower/ bathe?
Francis doesn't care as much, as seen by him not even bothering to zip up completely his vault suit and he almost never bothers trying to comb his hair (it's a mess).
Winter wears some light makeup but that's all, cosmetic-wise. Both her and Summer tend to wear what they can so if they're current clothes get too damage or worn out, they go get something more decent.
Natya is still wandering around in her Vault 111 suit but she's the only that that would at least have a decent hair style and makeup on.
All four bathe whenever they get the chance to which is probably not as much as they'd like. For those that care, like Natya, it's definitely not enough!!
10. What do they fear the most?
Francis' fear is not being able to help someone and them dying under his care.
Summer fears getting ambushed so he tends to only travel between settlements with other people. He is also afraid of deathclaws and feral ghouls and will more often run away instead of standing his ground and fighting.
Natya's fear while trying to get used to and understand the Commonwealth is trusting the wrong person and that leading to betrayal or worse.
13. What Wasteland threat do they fear the most? (ex. Deathclaws, super mutants, raiders)
Francis is creeped out by king mirelurks and centaurs.
Winter is wary of Behemoths, simply because they're huge (she feels the same with wasteland threats that are that size or larger).
Summer is scared of feral ghouls and deathclaws.
Natya finds raiders and gunners to be more of a threat.
16. What Harry Potter house would they be in? (ex. Gryffindor, Ravenclaw)
Both Francis and Natya would be in Griffondor, Winter would be in Slytherin and Summer would be in Hufflepuff.
17. Which Pokemon Go team would they choose? (ex. Instinct, Valor, Mystic)
Francis and Summer would both choose Valor, Winter will go with Mystic and Natya would align herself with Instinct.
18. Out of the nine forms of intelligence (rhythmic, spatial, linguistic, mathematical, kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalistic, and existential) which one(s) are they really good at and which one(s) is(are) their weakest?
*skip for now - need to look into this more.*
19. What natural alignment are they? (ex. Lawful Good, Chaotic Evil)
Francis: NeutralSummer: Lawful goodWinter: Neutral goodNatya: Chaotic good(where are my evil characters?)
27. Do they prefer to travel alone or with company? Who have they traveled with if any? Current companion if any?
Francis tended to travel with Butch since he's more of a familiar face from the Vault after he left it. Afterwards, he traveled a bit with Fawkes, then eventually traveled either on his own or his own traveling companions (aka my side OCs that I don't talk about).
Winter travels with other minutemen but sometimes will travel with Preston Garvey.
Summer doesn't travel often and usually travels with his sister when he does.Natya is currently not traveling with anyone but during her travels, she would at least travel with most of the companions.
29. What do they find most attractive in others? Name at least one psychological and physical trait. (doesn’t have to be romantic attraction)
Francis isn’t attracted to anyone.
Winter tends to like people who like to help others out.
Summer prefers a good conversation over looks.
Natya kind of likes everyone as long as they don't try to shoot first.
33. What is their combat style? What range do they prefer? Do they sneak?
Francis tends to try to sneak first (which always fails) so then he resorts to using explosives and then a handgun for close range combat.
Summer always hopes that there could be a peaceful resolution to a conflict but if he's forced to fight, he will pull out a handgun as a last resort.
Winter tends to use sniper rifles for long range combat, then switch to a shotgun or a rifle, whichever she has on hand at the time.
Natya will tend to call for artillery support to hopefully try to clear out a location before going in and having to finish the job. Doesn't help that one time, she thought an abandoned building was dangerous enough that she had it bombed with artillery only to find out that it was only inhabited by radroaches.
34. What weapon(s) do they always carry with them?
Francis relies on his combat shotgun and medic skills to keep him alive, and also has some skill using explosives.
Winter uses a variety of sniper rifles for long range combat and powerful rifles and shotguns for close combat. Summer uses pistols close combat if it comes down to it.
Natya is still figuring out what weapon she is more efficient in using but she would rather avoid combat if possible. She tends to use whatever weapon she has on hand.
35. Their most prized possession?
*skip for now - will update in the future*
37. Favorite armor/ outfit?
Francis really, really, really loves the armored Vault suit that he picks up soon after leaving the vault. He doesn't change either and opts to repair his current armor when required.
Summer likes leather jackets and jeans and wears armor when he's traveling, is outside the settlements or has to help during an attack.
Both Natya and Winter love to change their clothes depending on how they feel and what is available to wear at the time. Winter is currently wearing minuteman clothes (minus the hat) and Natya still hasn't abandoned the Vault suit but will when she sees something that is more her style.
38. How’s their aim? Do their hands shake while pointing a gun?
Francis tends to hit his target because he uses guns close range but for longer range opponents, he tends to use explosives.
Winter has pretty good aim with her weapons but Summer is still very shaky when he has to aim against any living creature, even if it's the enemy.
Natya has had some practice firing weapons in gun ranges but she can at least aim without being shaky.
41. Do they move around a lot or prefer to have a place to call home?
Francis' has a home in Megaton and he often finds a place to stay when at Rivet City but he's always on the move in the DC wastelands.
Both Summer and Winter live in Sanctuary but while Summer tends to stick to there or other settlements when traveling, Winter is usually out and about, helping patrols the roads or helping out settlers.
Natya eventually tends to be found out at Hangman's Alley, mostly because it feels populated enough and that she can almost disappear if people are after her.
42. What’s their favorite location?
Francis doesn't have a specific location, but would rather be anywhere where there aren't people around (aka his house in Megaton - he can deal with Wadsworth's bad jokes).
Summer favorite place is Sanctuary Hills (likes to help build up the settlement there) and the Red Rocket Truck Stop (there, he tends to tinker with stuff that hopefully might be useful). Good for him because he tends to be in either location most of the time.
Winter loves being on the open road (as long as she's not being attacked) but she already really loves salvaging for useful items in abandoned buildings.
Natya enjoys exploring Vaults although the abandoned ones still creep her out a bit, especially if she learns that history behind them.
43. Their opinions on ghouls, feral and not feral?
Francis is okay with ghouls but has no love for feral ones.
Summer is scared of feral ghouls and would rather not deal with them but is okay with non-feral ones, although he tends to be wary of them.
Winter is okay with ghouls but always feel bad when she has to fight feral ones.Natya is is still learning that there are feral and non-feral ghouls but as long as they don't immediately attack her, she's fine with them.
47. What’s their favorite radio station and song? (post-apocalypse)
Francis used to listen to the Enclave radio until things went down when meeting the actual Enclave.
Winter loves listening to the classical station or nothing at all if she's in enemy territory.
Natya doesn't personally listen to music as often as she wants to, and Summer has no preference and will often listen to what his sister is listening to.
48. What’s their favorite post-apocalyptic food? Are they a picky eater? Do they know how to cook?
Francis is a bit of a picky eater but will still eat anything if there's nothing else to do.
Both Winter and Summer grew up in the wastelands so they're used to having to eat what they can find and both have decent cooking skills.
Natya is mostly unfamiliar with the wasteland cuisine but she can cook so at least she can make some of the food look at least tolerable. She still has a taste for pre-war foodstuff so she tends to hoard them whenever she finds them.
50. Do they have any tag skills?
Francis has most of his skills on medicine, science and small guns. He has a few on explosives.
Summer has fortune finder and scrounger so he can fine more caps and ammunition when looking for salvage. Also has points on local leader since he stays in settlements and works on improving them most of the time.
Winter has locksmith to break into locked doors and hacker to do the same thing with computers. She also invested in rifleman to improve her preferred weapon skills, and strong back to haul more salvage back to the settlements. Both her and her brother invested into scrapper in order to salvage rare components.
atya has intimidation which helps when dealing with one or two hostile enemies, science from her time in the pre-war era to build improved weapons, armor and settlement objects.
