Improv Theater
Author: liketolaugh Summary:  I’m egging your house for a dare but your parent is a cop and they’re yelling at me, so I told them that you were my ex and you wronged me. And now you’re coming outside and please go along with this i don’t want to go to jail- (Markus has many regrets.)
Here was the thing: Markus was mature for his age. It came with having an older brother like Leo, with taking over more and more of the household duties as his father’s health grew worse, with his own sharp attentiveness and growing awareness of the world.
Here was the other thing: Markus’ friends were absolute chaos fiends, and on good days, it was easy to get caught up in the flow of things, laughing until he was breathless, daring and running and arguing. It was easy to start it, even, when North was wild and defensive and desperate to stay away from home, and all he wanted was to wipe that scowl off his friend’s face.
If anyone asked, that was why he ignored Josh’s dismayed protests and went along with North’s desire to egg a random house about two blocks from hers. At two in the morning Halloween night.
Hopefully no one would ask.
Josh was covering his face and peeking through his fingers by the time they were halfway through the dozen; North was laughing, brazen and delighted, and Simon rolling an egg between his hands, giggling helplessly and probably working up the nerve to join in.
Markus was laughing, too, right up until he hit a window by accident, and someone appeared a few seconds later, examining first the splattered egg, and then looking over to meet Markus’ eyes, expression flat and unreadable.
Markus’ smile froze, and he stared back at the other – a boy maybe a year or two younger, distantly familiar the way most of the kids at school were, acne-speckled and face starting to scrunch in something like confusion. Or worse, hurt.
As if to highlight how bad this idea suddenly seemed, the front door of the house slammed open. The door had an egg on it. Luckily, the man who’d emerged was unlikely to notice that.
Unluckily, the man was fuming.
“You damn kids think you can just come here and throw shit at my house?” the man demanded, loud and with all the irritation of those woken in untimely manners. “I’m a goddamn police lieutenant! I can have you arrested for this!”
Josh’s elbow dug hard into Markus’ side, which was the moment at which he realized he was still staring at the boy in the window, whose head had tilted cutely, like a baby bird’s. Panic mixed with his lingering preoccupation, and Markus blurted out the first plausible excuse to come to mind.
“Your son and I were dating but he fucked up and I want revenge!”
That was an awful excuse. That was so easy to disprove. Why did he say that.
North started laughing again.
The policeman seemed to think so too, because he scowled at Markus, and then crossed his arms, leaned forward, and made intense eye contact with the boy in the window until the boy pushed it open and leaned out, quizzical.
“Do you know this kid?” the man demanded, sounding fed up with the entire situation already.
Markus’ heart pounded, paralyzed with fear, but, unexpectedly, the boy nodded. The police officer still looked unconvinced.
“Did you do something to him?” the man pushed, scowl unamused. “He says you were dating.” His voice dripped with skepticism.
Markus gave the boy a pleading look. He really, really didn’t want to have to explain this to Carl; the man had enough on his mind with how much he had to bail Leo out. Markus didn’t want Carl to worry about him too.
The boy blinked.
“I… forgot his birthday,” he said at last, slowly.
“You,” the man said slowly, in a voice indicative of great doubt, “forgot something.”
“Yes,” the boy agreed blandly.
Oh, hell. The lieutenant’s son was a bad liar.
“You didn’t even take my calls all day!” he snapped, trying to sound indignant enough to make the lie more convincing. “I hate you-” He didn’t know the boy’s name.
“Connor,” Josh whispered in his ear.
“Connor!” Markus parroted automatically, and then thought, oh hell, the policeman’s going to think I’m an idiot because I just shouted a random name.
“You and Connor,” the lieutenant said dubiously, “dated.”
What?
“And now I find out you didn’t even tell your dad about us!” Markus shouted at Connor, because he had no choice but to run with it now. “This is why I’m egging your house!”
He was still holding an egg, and he threw it at Connor for effect. Connor caught it.
“Sorry?” Connor offered, sounding unsure about it.
The police lieutenant still looked heavily unconvinced, but he was looking between Markus and Connor, brow furrowed and arms still crossed.
“And what’s your… ex… boyfriend’s name?” he asked, slow and suspicious.
“Markus,” Connor said.
“What,” Markus whispered.
“And when is Markus’ birthday?” the man asked, with increasing incredulity.
“March eighteenth,” Connor said, without even hesitating.
“What,” Markus repeated helplessly.
“He’s in our AP Government class,” Josh explained in an undertone, sounding tired and exasperated. “He had Calculus with us last year, too. I think he’s a sophomore.” Simon shot him an incredulous look, and Josh said, “I had a group project with him, okay?”
North was still laughing.
As if to increase the surreality of the occasion, someone appeared right by Connor, functionally identical to him save a much more irritated expression. Markus braced himself.
“Connor had a test the next day,” the other boy said, flat and disinterested. “You know he’s trying to graduate early. He couldn’t afford to fail.”
Connor turned his head to stare at his twin. So did just about everyone else.
The police lieutenant was rubbing his face now, as if to try and wake up. Markus felt kind of the same way.
“I had the same test!” Markus argued, feeling like he’d at some point fallen into an alternate universe without his awareness. “We could have studied together!”
Connor transferred his gaze back down, refocusing on Markus. His expression had barely changed the whole time, but he was smiling now, small and charmed. Like he was having fun, leaning against the windowsill from a floor up, arguing about a relationship that never happened.
“Your study music is loud,” Connor said mildly. “I can’t focus.”
“You could have said something!” Markus said petulantly, hamming it up a little to cross his arms and frown disapprovingly up at Connor.
“I didn’t want to bother you,” Connor said.
“It was my birthday,” Markus argued with undue passion. “I wanted to see you!”
“Connor, you bastard!” North offered unhelpfully, through half-restrained cackles.
“Connor’s is August fifteenth,” the brother said in return, his focus as unwavering as Connor’s and much more disconcerting. “Where were you?”
“They’d broken up by then,” Simon jumped in, clearly invested now and a note of earnest protest in his voice. “You can’t hold him accountable for that.”
“Watch me,” the brother said.
Markus chanced a look at the lieutenant, but he couldn’t tell whether the man was buying it. He didn’t look angry anymore, at least – just exasperated and more tired by the second, hand over his eyes and shaking his head.
“He’s been sulking for months!” Simon said passionately. Too passionately. What the hell, Simon? “Have a heart!”
“He dumped my brother,” the brother said firmly. “If he wants mercy, he’ll have to beg for it.”
“That’s a little harsh, Nines,” Connor chided, glancing at his brother. “It was mutual.”
“It really wasn’t,” Josh said unexpectedly, and Markus shot him a betrayed look. Josh had the good grace to look apologetic.
“Please make up with him so we can go home,” Simon said to Markus.
“Not until Connor apologizes for ghosting Markus for a week and a half!” North jumped in, eyes bright with mischief.
“Sorry,” Connor said, sounding tired.
“Don’t apologize,” Nines objected, frowning at Connor. “You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“I don’t know what’s happening,” the police lieutenant said at last, unexpected enough to make Markus jump. “I’m going to bed. Stop egging my damn house.”
That said, he turned around and went back inside, the door slamming behind him. For a few moments, all of them stared at it, thrown off their rhythm by the sudden concession.
“…Did he believe us?” Markus ventured at last.
“No,” Connor said plainly. “He just decided it wasn’t worth the trouble.”
Oh. Well, that worked well enough.
“Okay,” Markus said at last, decisively. He stared up at Connor, suddenly awkward again, the other boy staring back down placidly. After the conversation they’d just had, he felt like he had to check. “You, uh. Know none of that was real, right?”
Nines snorted.
“While I definitely am bad enough with social cues to misunderstand my own relationship status, you and I have only spoken a few times,” Connor replied, sounding unoffended. “All of them were during class discussions. I’m aware we’re not dating.”
“Oh, thank God,” Markus said with feeling. He’d been starting to wonder. “Thanks for playing along.” Then, on impulse, “Want to make it real?”
Nines scoffed and ducked back inside. Beside Markus, North guffawed. Connor blinked at him.
“Okay,” Connor said at last.
Markus grinned back, relief setting in and making him feel light and pleased again. “Meet you at the front door after school tomorrow?”
“I’ll remember,” Connor said, and he was smiling again.
Apparently satisfied, he ducked back inside and shut the window. Markus turned back to his friends, grinning.
“How do you turn almost getting arrested into a date?” Josh demanded of him, sounding almost indignant. “I want to do that.”
“I never want to do that again,” Markus disagreed fervently. “…But at least I have a date.” Pause. “You can stop laughing any day now, North.”
“Not on your life!” she managed, cheeks flushed with delight. “Happy fucking Halloween.”
“Happy Halloween,” Simon agreed ruefully.

Rules and Regulations - Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun Imagine
Paring: Dad!Tyler x Daughter!Reader, Uncle!Josh x Niece!Reader
Word Count: 2,434
Warnings: Terrible mother, F slur, mentions of tattoos (?)
Authors Note: Okay so the reader in this story is LGBT, and it is quite an important part of the story, so if you don’t feel comfortable reading that please feel free to skip this one. This is all around a really cute fic and I might turn it into a series if you guys want. The time skips are really inconsistent in this though, they’ll go from being a few minutes to being a few months. I might go back and add dates for those though. Anyways enjoy.
“Jenna, Caroline spilled her cereal!” I called upstairs.
“Just give me one second and I’ll clean it up!” She yelled from Hannah’s bedroom.
I nodded even though she couldn’t see me. “Just a couple more days and I’ll be able to see Dad and Uncle Josh...” I muttered to myself.
“Y/N?” I looked down to see Caroline tugging at my leg. “Can I have more cereal?”
I looked to the table covered in Cheerio’s then looked at the clock on the stove. “How about I just make you a sandwich instead. It’s lunchtime anyways.”
She nodded excitedly. “Ham and mayo please.” She beamed.
“Of course.” I let out a little laugh while grabbing the jar of mayonnaise. “Alexa... Play Twenty One Pilots.”
“Playing songs by Twenty One Pilots.” Soon after Stressed Out came on.
“I love this song!” Caroline quickly jumped out of her seat, running over to me. “Will you sing with me?”
I let out a little laugh and started to sing the chorus.
“What’s this? Daddy’s music? Whose idea was that?”Jenna appeared in the kitchen, holding Hannah in her arms. Caroline quickly pointed to me. “Should have known.” Jenna let out a quick laugh.
“What can I say I’m a daddy’s girl.“ Laughing a bit at the nickname given to me.
Soon everyone had their lunch and we were all sat at the table. “When is daddy coming home?” Carolina asked breaking the silence.
“Two more months sweetie but we’re going to visit him soon.” Jenna smiled at her daughter, but the disappointment was obvious. Everyone missed seeing dad, I’m glad I get to finish tour with him and Uncle Josh though.
“You excited for school tomorrow?” I asked changing the subject. Jenna sent me a look, silently thanking me.
“No, not really. On Friday my friends dared me to kiss a boy.” Caroline shot her head up. “I said no because obviously, boys have cooties!”
“That’s good, you’re not allowed to kiss any boys until you’re 16.” Jenna gave her a stern look, laughing shortly after.
“Daddy said I can’t kiss any boy’s until I’m married.”
“Is that so?” I laughed
“When are you allowed to kiss boys Y/N?” Caroline asked.
“I don’t have any rules on when I can kiss boys.” I shrugged.
“Really? That’s not fare.” She huffed crossing her arms.
“Well I think boys are gross so Daddy and Uncle Josh didn’t set any rules.”
“Why did Uncle Josh get to have a say. I bet he would say I could kiss boys younger...” She muttered the last part to herself.
“Because Uncle Josh is like a second dad to Y/N.” Jenna intervened, noticing how I had become uncomfortable.
“I’ll explain it to you later, okay Caroline?” She nodded in response, going back to her sandwich.
----
“Y/N?” A small voice came from my door.
“Caroline? What are you doing up?” I asked looking at my clock. It may not be a school night but a six year old should not be up at eleven o’clock at night.
“I can’t sleep...” She looked off the to side.
“You wanna sleep with me?” She nodded, climbing onto the bed. “What’s got you up Tiny?”
“I was thinking about how close you are to Uncle Josh... Why is that?”
I sighed. “When I was your age I didn’t have anyone other than Daddy and Uncle Josh.” She squirmed in my arms a little. “So when it came to raising me, Uncle Josh helped Daddy out.”
“He’s always been there for me, sometimes more than Daddy has. Meaning all those rules and regulations that Daddy and Jenna set up for you, were set up by Daddy and Uncle Josh for me.”
“Regulations?” She looked up.
“Guide lines.”
She nodded her head. “I’m gonna miss you when you go with Daddy and Uncle Josh...”
“I’ll call you every night.”
“But who’s going to make me ham and mayo sandwiches?”
“You’re mom is capable of making them.”
“It won’t be the same...” She mumbled.
“How about this, I’ll make you lunch after you go to church on Sunday and I’ll make you sandwiches to bring to school for the rest of the week?” She nodded.
The conversation ended and Caroline fell asleep.
----
Monday came quickly and it was time for me to fly to Charlotte to join Dad and Uncle Josh on tour. I waved goodbye to Jenna, Caroline, and Hannah. Caroline was very visibly crying while holding onto the Build-A-Bear I made more her the day prior, mine tucked safely into my bag.
“Traveling alone?” The barista at the cafe asked.
I nodded. “I’m meeting my dad and uncle in Charlotte.”
“That’s cool, I would never be able to go to school that far away from my parents.” She laughed.
“It’s not like that. They travel a lot and I’m flying in to travel with them, around the country actually.”
“They on a road trip or something?”
“You could say that I guess, but you wouldn’t believe me if I told you.”
“Try me.”
“They’re on tour, they’re uh in a band.”
“What band maybe I’ve heard of them.”
“Uh Twenty One Pilots? They just released a new album”
“Wait their the one’s who made that Stressed Out song right?”
“Yeah that’s them. That songs from their new album.”
“Cool, not really my style but I do really like that song. What’s the new album called?”
“Blurryface.”
“Codi! Stop talking and get back to work!”
“Sorry, here’s your coffee.” I smiled at her walking out of the cafe.
----
“Uncle Josh!” I yelled, smiling.
“Y/N! What’s my favorite niece been up to? Don’t tell Caroline and Hannah I said that.” We both laughed.
“Not much, although this new hair place opened and I think I might get my tips done to match yours.” I said pointing to his bright red hair.
“Nope absolutely not!” A voice was heard from behind me. I turned around and smiled.
“Dad!” I wrapped my arms around him.
“Well hello to you to Kiddo.” He laughed wrapping his arms around me.
I let go of him and turned around to pick up my bags, only to see Josh had grabbed them already. “Why do you have this tiny bag?” He asked, holding up a medium sized backpack.
“Dad told me to bring my uke.” I shrugged grabbing both it and my regular backpack.
----
“Bye dad!” I shut the front door walking to my car. As I got in my phone rang. “Hello?”
“Hey cutie!” A voice could be heard over my speakers, indicating my phone had connected to the Bluetooth.
“Hey Codi.” I laughed. “I’m on my way.”
“You better be, I can’t wait to see what you’re doing to your hair.”
“I thought I told you?”
“Nope.”
“Whatever you’ll see soon enough.”
We talked for a little while longer until I pulled into her drive way. Codi bolted outside and into my car. “Well hello to you to Dakota.” She laughed a little as well, kissing my cheek.
The drive to the place was fairly quick. Codi had been blasting music the whole ride, but turned it off when I pulled onto North High Street.
“Here it is.” We both looked up to the sign. The word Bishops could be read in white, with an orange-red back ground.
“Hey! How can I help you two lovely woman?” A girl with brightly colored hair smiled.
“Uh I have an appointment, it should be under as Y/N Joseph?”
“Right, here you are.” She smiled looking up. “You’re dying your tips red, right?”
“You’re dying your tips? I though you’re dad said no?” Codi remarked from behind me.
“Yes, but Uncle Josh said yes. As long as I got red.” I smirked knowing that what Josh says, goes.
The girl laughed. “Well my names Max, I’ll be doing you’re hair.” She lead me to a chair. “So red huh? Is that your uncles favorite color or something?”
“His hair’s red, it’s been a joke since I was young that I should always be matching with him.”
“I’m assuming you’re really close then.”
“Yeah, he’s like a second dad to me.” I smiled.
----
“All done.” Max turned the chair around so I could see it.
“It looks amazing! Thank you so much!”
“Looking good, cutie.” Codi laughed wrapping her arms around my shoulders.
“Just come in when you need a touch up or you want to switch the color.” I nodded paying.
“Thanks again Max!” I said walking out of the shop.
“You’re dad is so gonna kill you.” Codi laughed
“Oh definitely.” I smiled getting into my car.
----
“What did you do to your hair!?”
“Dyed it.” I shrugged looking at Dad.
“Was this Josh’s idea?”
“No it was Zack’s. Yes it was my idea Tyler.” Josh laughed.
Dad gave a quick disapproving look to Josh. “You’re lucky I love you too much.”
“Y/N your hair looks great I’m glad it came out the way you wanted.” Jenna smiled as she walked in.
“Thanks Jenna!”
“You knew about this as well?!”
“Well yeah, she double checked that it was okay with me.”
“Y/N!”
“Well would you look at the time, I’ve got a date with Codi. I love you daddy.” I smiled kissing his and Josh’s cheeks.
----
“So you have no interest in seeing your mom?” Codi asked.
“She had 17 years to come and visit me. She left me on my dads front door and said she never wanted to see me again.” I sighed, not taking my eye’s off the road. “She doesn’t have any right to see me. And its not like she could say she’s obligated to see me, I’m 18 and even if I wasn’t, her and my dad never fought for custody.”
I turned into Codi’s neighborhood and she promptly ended the conversation. As the car sat in the driveway, I turned to face her. “I’ll see you tomorrow Codes.” She kissed my cheek and left the car.
I sighed backing the car out of the driveway. “This is the right thing to do Y/N. She doesn’t care about you.” I muttered to myself on my way home.
----
“Y/N! Someone’s here to see you!” Caroline yelled as she ran into my room.
“Who?”
“I’m not sure but Mommy told me to come get you and then go to my room.”
“Okay thanks C.” I stood from my seat and started walking downstairs. “Jenna? Who’s here to see me?”
In front of me stood Jenna, Dad, Uncle Josh, and two people I didn’t recognize.
Uncle Josh was the one to break the silence. “Y/N why don’t you sit down?” I quietly sat down between him and Dad.
“I-I’m confused, what’s happening?” I turned towards Dad.
“Sweetie don’t you recognize me?” The women spoke. I shook my head.
“Y/N this is your mother.” Something about the way that Dad said mother didn’t feel right. He said it as if I should have known who she is. As if she didn’t ditch me when I was one.
“I thought is was right time we saw each other again.”
“I’m sorry what? Saw each other again? You left me with Dad when I was a baby! You never cared about me so right now I’m confused on why you’re here!”
“I wanted to see my baby again.” She retorted faking politeness.
“You had 17 years to do that. Why are you here now?” Silence fell over everyone. Jenna went upstairs to make sure the girls wouldn’t come downstairs.
The front door closing and footsteps broke that silence. “Hey Joseph’s I’m here for-” Codi spoke unaware of what was happening in the living room. “Y/N...”
“Codi, can we reschedule? Maybe to any other day in my life. Clearly something must be happening today since she’s here.”
“But Y/N, today’s our movie date.” She playfully whined.
“I’m sorry date?” A sharp voice came from behind me.
“Yes a date? Is there an issue with that?” Codi questioned staring at the unfamiliar women.
“No daughter of mine is a fag!” Silence fell again.
“Get out.” Uncle Josh’s voice broke through.
“Excuse me? Who are you to tell me what to do?”
“I said get out. I will not tolerate anyone insulting Y/N or her girlfriend. Especially someone as vial as you.” He spat standing up from his chair.
“This is not you’re household nor family.” She scoffed. “Tyler you allow this man to be near our child-”
“My child.” Dad finally spoke.
“Excuse me?”
“My child. You never once even asked about Y/N. You have no right to call her your child.”
“I would never think a man of God like yourself would allow someone as disgusting as her,” She quickly pointed at me. “To live in your house.”
She grabbed the arm of the man with her and dragged him out of the house. “I’m sorry N/N.” Dad said wrapping me in a hug.
“It’s fine Dad.” I replied. Another pair of arms wrapped around my waist.
“Josh?” Dad laughed.
“What? I wanted to be apart of the moment!” He laughed.
“Group hug!” Codi yelled grabbing onto me as well. Dad and Uncle Josh readjusted to fit her in.
“Did someone say group hug?” Caroline’s voice could be heard as she ran int group of people.
I picked her up as Jenna walked downstairs with Hannah in her hands. “Yeah someone said group hug.” I smiled as Codi wrapped her arms around me again.
----
“Okay you’re dad couldn’t handle you dying your hair and now you’re getting a tattoo?” Codi laughed.
“Hey! I have permission this time.” I playfully shoved her as I pulled into the parking lot of the tattoo parlor.
“What are you getting anyways?” Codi asked as I sat down in the chair. I explained it too her and finished right as the tattoo artist finished putting the base on my arm.
----
“Y/N I swear if you got anything stupid or inappropriate-” Dad cut himself off seeing seeing the tattoo. “Y-You got one of my lyrics tattooed on you?”
“Okay either you’re blind or full of yourself.” I laughed looking at the tattoo on my arm. I was a tree house set on fire and had the lyrics from Forest around it. “Anyways of course I did. I wanted my first tattoo to have a special meaning.”
“I got one as well!” Codi proudly showed off the small band wrapped around her wrist. “Dad’s prolly get get emotion once he asks what it means though...”
“Well I’m glad you both got things that mean something to you.”

Bittersweet [002]
Bittersweet is a con-artist!Brendon Urie x barista!Reader AU, and also a “We know each other but we don’t know we know each other” AU.
Warnings: Profanity, Kleptomania, Con-Artist AU, TØP and MCR cameos
A/n: NGL I wrote this a while ago. I have the next part written (it’s to bridge a time gap so it’s not too content heavy). Part four, however...is where the real fun will begin...Enjoy :)
Tumblr media
For once Tyler's doing work today, partially because you haven’t been able to take your eyes off your phone since you left your apartment. You walked to your station, didn’t even put your apron on for a good twenty minutes, and so far you’ve only been interrupted by Josh’s confused stares and Tyler asking how to make everything.
You’ve spent the day revisiting your high-school colleague’s Instagrams, looking for you and the guy who insisted you call “Clyde” in the background of every photo. It started with going to Jenna’s account, searching through her followers for some names guaranteed to have been there, then going ham with your detective skills.
And yet you haven’t found anything. Maybe it’s good there’s no photo evidence (as far as you know) of you and Clyde, considering you did manage to snatch a couple thousand dollars worth of jewelry which you gasp recalling considering you’re fairly certain you chucked your clothes off you the second you walked into your bedroom….you’ll have to look for those later.
You have managed to find—“Y/n, Toro alert,” Tyler interrupts your thoughts, plucking your phone from your hands and leaving you stunned and against the counter. He forces a smile before slipping your phone in his back pocket and nudging you toward your latest customer. You instinctively smile at them and go to ask for their order, but after processing who they are all you can do is choke on some laughter.
“Oh! Brendon! Uh, hi…what can I get for ya?”
He’s back again, Brendon Urie, just as formally dressed today as he was yesterday albeit a little less put together. He’s wearing a black collared shirt and black jeans. Pretty much the same thing but there’s an irritated look to his face.
He twists his lips to the side as he looks to his phone and mumbles, “Sorry.”
You take his silence to look off into space and think back to the morning you’ve had.
Your boss Ray knocks you out of your state when he slips past you, saying bye then waving to you all working before walking out the door, his things packed up in his bag and his jacket hung over his forearm.
“Heh, sorry.” Brendon puts his phone down on the counter and looks up to the menu. “Uh, the usual?”
You suck your lip in between your teeth. It takes him a moment to realize he hasn’t been as much of a regular as he thinks he has so he calrifies with, “Uh, Sickly Strawberry.” He grins and pats his fingers against the counter. “Please…”
“Ah, I see. It’s the usual now is it?”
“Heh, as far as I can see.”
Brendon watches you grab a cup, and after you hold up a medium and make sure he’s fine with the size (he is, so he nods), he watches you scribble his name on the side in blue ink. Last time it was red, and he feels a bit foolish for being so bummed by the change but he doesn’t bring it up.
“One Sickly Strawberry coming right up!” You’re as enthusiastic as you can be. Honestly, his presence helps that, and you go about making his drink while he stays at the counter.
He doesn’t move, not even when Tyler comes and stands beside you. Tyler leans, elbow against the cool (and sticky) countertop while he speaks softly and nods toward the door. “Ray’s gone you know, I’ll take care of this.” You hum, hoping he’ll elaborate, and you suppose he does when he takes advantage of your loose grip on the cup and takes it for himself. He moves it enough to remove it from your grasp but keeps it right where it’s supposed to be as the machine does its work. “That strawberry drink, right?”
You raise a brow at him and he lowers his, looking at you from behind them. “Uh…yeah?” You say, then sputter, “it’s fine, I got it.” You grab the cup but he doesn’t budge.
He instead lowers his voice and drops his chin to his chest. “Don’t worry about it Y/n. You’ve been out of it all day.” You give in, letting him take the cup and he goes to continue the job and blend the strawberries with the ice and milk.
When he has nothing to do but watch the blades do their work he reaches into his pocket and hands you your phone. He spares you a glance, then goes back to keeping them trained on the drink.
You stay beside him and take a peek at Brendon, on his phone and swaying softly in his spot. Then your phone buzzes. The sensation against your hand is enough to make you jump and elicit a look off worry from Tyler, but after giving him a shaky smile you check your notifications.
A message from Clyde.
Tyler starts tapping his foot to the beat of some song too soft and far-off, especially with the blender right by your ears. You watch him push himself to his tip-toes and stretch back, slyly trying to get a glimpse at your screen.
Normally you would question what inspired him to work so efficiently, but first of all, it’s not like you’ve ever gotten the chance to because it’s far from normal. And second of all your mind’s too damn occupied with the events of last night to really care. It was an adrenaline pumping affair infused with sexual tension and the feeling of holding more than your net-worth in one hand. And suddenly the sky’s dim today, the clouds hang over casting the world in a gloom, and that makes it the perfect environment for a packed crowd. Knowing it’s no longer Halloween or the month of October makes it slightly bearable, but a lot more boring.
Tyler chuckles, “Guess it worked out with you and Clyde.”
“Huh?” You look at your screen. Huh, you forgot that fast. Well, that single message has jumped up to seven. You quirk a brow and open your messages. You can only get a peek at the paragraphs before looking away and blinking in surprise. They have a frantic attitude attached to all of them. You squeeze your eyes shut and groan.
“No wonder you’re so occupied.”
You groan again and whine softly, stamping your foot to the ground and twisting your body to face Tyler as he tops the drink with whipped cream. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“I don’t know….just that you two seem to have a lot to talk about.”
“Yeah…” You sigh.
“So…” There’s a click as he pops the lid onto Brendon’s drink, still standing there and typing away at his phone. Tyler keeps his voice down and nods over at him. “Still want me to be your wingman with him?”
You scoff and Tyler presses his lips together tight, shrugging. “Of course I do!” You say and he blinks in surprise.
“Oh?”
You nod rapidly. “That,” you roll your eyes and spit, “Clyde guy wasn’t even a fling.”
“I…see?” You walk around Tyler and grab the drink. He keeps his eyes squinted and on you, trying to figure out what exactly could be going on between you two. He doesn’t want to prod and despite knowing you for such a short time he believes you when you say it’s not a fling, but doesn’t quite trust the idea of nothing going on. Nothing at all.
You slam the drink down in front of Brendon, keeping your fingers wrapped around the bottom of the cup. Brendon picks his head up, almost slipping his phone into his back pocket before noticing your whole body and eyes still turned to Tyler.
“It was not a fling.” You assure him.
“Not a fling,” he repeats, stepping closer. You nod and smile, not bothering to stop him when he takes your phone and skims over the messages. Your arm is still stretched out to Brendon as you wait for him to take the drink.
It takes a moment to occur to you that this Clyde fellow’s learned more about you in one night than Tyler has in his months (and then some) of working alongside you. You see Tyler wince and scrunch his face up in confusion, and it’s then when you remember that whole, stealing jewelry from Jenna’s house thing. Those messages aren’t just the messages of some college boy you made the mistake of hanging out with. They’re messages that potentially reveal burglary, which is nice.
Your chest puffs up and you snatch your phone from Tyler, leaving him staring down with a blank look. He runs his tongue over his lips and chuckles, “So he’s just a clingy madman isn’t he?”
“Total, absolute, madman.” You and Tyler laugh about it for a moment, including poor Brendon in an awkward moment of silence as you and Tyler smile knowingly at each other.
Brendon lets out a chuckle, getting both of your attention.
“Oh!” Tyler hisses, pushing your body aside, but your arm still stretches to give Brendon his drink. “Sorry about that.” Tyler sliders over Ray’s iPad and starts up the transaction process. He sniffles and juts his thumb over to point at you. “Body problems.”
You flash Brendon a forced smile before kicking Tyler’s foot. He jumps a bit and looks down. Before holding his hand out for Brendon, expecting a “Card?” Tyler asks, but Brendon just pulls out some cash. Tyler nods, impressed, then mutters “That’ll do,” before giving Brendon his change.
Brendon’s still yet to grab his drunk. He just chuckles, “Boy problems?” Then wraps his hand around the top of the cup but he doesn’t make any effort to take it away so you stay in your awkward, stretched out position and continue to grip the cup.
You roll your eyes. “Yeah it’s just—”
“She met herself a madman last night.”
Brendon furrows his brows at you then looks to Tyler for an explanation. You see Brendon’s eyes widen and his jaw goes slack for a second before shutting tight, and he resorts to letting his eyes bounce all over the rest of Tyler, just not his face.
“Eh, you remember Jenna Black from school, right?”
You and Brendon look to Tyler for an explanation. Brendon looks put on the spot—you guess he is--then he looks down at himself, nodding softly and mumbling.
“Sorry,” Tyler says and points at him, “but you are Brendon Urie, right?” Tyler goes to fist-bump Brendon, which Brendon participates in as he slowly starts to remember—seems to at least.
“Yeah yeah, Tyler Joseph, Edmond’s class?” He blows out a breath, “Geesh, sorry.” He cracks a smile and scratches his head. “ Just been a bit out of it lately, how you doing man?” Brendon crosses his arms tight over his chest, so you pull the drink closer to you, nudging Tyler to the left to give yourself some room.
You watch their small exchange, a smile on your face despite not being included. Before Tyler gets a chance to spill his recent life story, Brendon points to you with furrowed brows and bites into his lip. You shake your head at him and hold up a hand in some sort of defense, already knowing where he’s heading. “You wouldn’t remember me.” He looks defeated at your insistence. “Our paths just didn’t cross is all.”
Brendon groans, “God, I feel so—so weird. It’s like everything’s just coming back to me now…Sorry, I uh—”
“Seriously. You wouldn’t remember me.” You look to Tyler, hoping he’ll back you up.
Truth be told you had your fair share of interactions with Brendon. You ran into each other at a few parties, got stuck together during a few school projects too. But you often gave him the go-ahead to slack off and let you do the work. There was nothing wrong with a few deducted points for citing poor sources as long as it was your mistake and your mistake alone. And your partner often got to mooch off of your frequent success—your work was usually a much-needed boost to their grade.
Even Tyler seems to recall some of your real interactions but says, “She’s right. She spent all of her time picking on me (“I did not!”) and talking to the trees.” He smiles.
You scoff and mumble, “Think you’re talking about yourself there Ty…”
Brendon points at you. “Actually…did we have, science, together? Maybe? And uh—drama?”
You nod and Brendon’s face lights up. Tyler looks down at the counter as he taps his fingers against it from his index to his pinkie, then he repeats.
“Huh…” Brendon finally takes his drink, then you’re standing identical to Tyler with your fingers mindlessly tapping to an invisible beat. “Y/n Y/l/n?” He laughs seeing how surprised you are.
“Uh, yeah,” you manage.
Brendon hums to himself and looks between you and Tyler. “Weird. Heh…never pegged you two as friends.”
Tyler looks at you but shakes his head. “Well we—”
“Aren’t really friends.” Tyler deflates and sucks in a breath but forces a smile. You don’t really notice the way he holds his breath and strains to act natural—or maybe you do but figure it’s nothing. You continue, “If anything we hate each other.” Okay so maybe that was a bit harsh and not exactly true.
Tyler leans forward and holds a finger up. “Used to hate each other.” He wraps an arm around your shoulders and pulls you into his side. “But we’re beeeesssstttt friends now, aren’t we Y/n?” He smiles and you scoff in playful disgust, trying to push him off you. Brendon nods and smiles at your strange display of friendship.
“What was that?” Josh asks, leaning back and popping his head through the small doorway separating the two stations that make up the food and drink assembling section of the cafe. He raises his brows and presses his chin to his chest, looking at Tyler with wide eyes and a soft smile.
Tyler smiles back at Josh, the balls of his cheeks rising so high that creases start to form in his forehead. “Nothing!” He chirps, and Josh looks at you for reassurance. You know he’s joking but damn it’s actually kind of intimidating.
You smile and wave, “Just talking about how you’re Tyler’s best friend Joshy! Nothing to worry about!” Josh presses his lips together and shrugs, pleased with your response, then goes back to work.
Brendon furrows his brows. “Josh, as in Josh Dun?” You nod and Brendon huffs. He scratches the back of his head, “Geesh, the whole gang’s back together huh?”
Tyler takes his hand from your shoulder and instead cups his hands together in front of his crotch. He does a strange and over-exaggerated bow as he spits out, “Ab-so-lutely!” Well, you were never really apart of the ‘gang’ but it’s nice just thinking of all the shenanigans you three could have gotten in if you and Tyler actually got along and didn’t want to slit each other’s throats…anyways!
Tyler looks back to the machines, then looks past Brendon where a mother and her young daughter have just come in. Tyler puts his hands on your shoulders and pushes you out from behind the counter. “You know what—lots of work to do. Uh, Y/, Brendon, how about you two catch up for a bit?”
Brendon looks more willing then you, as he shrugs and takes a step away from the counter to wait for you. You still try to force out a response to reference your confusion with Tyler’s suddenness, but can’t. By the time you figure out what you could say, he’s pushed you out, untied the apron from your waist, and begun waving you goodbye.
“Wh-Tyler!” You try going back but Tyler stands in front of the counter’s only entrance. He smiles at you, then puts a hand on your shoulder and pushes you back some more.
You give in when you see the new customers approach the counter, and Brendon grins at you. He takes a deep breath and twists his middle around to look for a place to sit.
“Uh…shall we?” He asks, jutting his thumb over his shoulder. You look at Tyler and he flashes a manic smile then goes back to scribbling down the mother’s order. You nod and sway your hands forward, gesturing for Brendon to lead the way.
And he does, bringing you to that quaint and comforting little corner of the cafe with the leather seats and working outlets. You stray behind him, and wait for him to pick a seat—he picks the one against the wall—before slipping into the one across him.
He immediately pulls out his phone and looks down to it on his lap. He takes a deep breath and shakes his head softly before putting it back in its place. Then he smiles at you and cups his hands around his drink. You smile back but can’t bring yourself to look at him or look into his eyes—your relationship just isn’t there yet.
You suddenly long to be back behind the counter, but you look and see Tyler working just fine which means you can’t make the excuse that he needs you desperately as a way to get out of this situation.
“So…how have uh…how’ve you been?” He smiles softly, tilting his head to the side.
You hum, trying to think up an answer. How have you been? Well, you have an apartment, you have a steady job—you have not been outed out to the police for stealing Mrs. Black’s jewelry, so you suppose you’re, “Alright. I’m alright, I guess.” You laugh at that and Brendon joins you.
“That’s good…that’s good…so what are you up to nowadays? You know, besides, working here.”
“Well, I’m afraid to say that’s all I really have going for me. Well, that and school.”
His eyes widen and he nods his head up, “Oh! Where do you go?”
“Online. You know, I was just never really a fan of social interaction at least not to the extent of a school setting…” you crack a smile and look down at your lap, “As you may have guessed from my high school days.”
Brendon leans back and takes a sip of his drink before setting it down. He looks to the ceiling and smiles, “Oh, I remember. From what I remember of you at least.”
“Well if you don’t remember much then that’s proof enough, isn’t it?”
“Heh, I guess it is…”
He looks over to Tyler but keeps his body still. His body goes stiff too as he holds his breath and clenches his jaw a bit. “So…you and…? Dea—”
“Tyler?”
Brendon forces a smile and nods rapidly “Yeah yeah, Tyler, you and Tyler!” He gulps and settles down. “So uhm…You and Tyler, what’s going on with you, and Mr. Joseph.” Brendon rolls his eyes at himself—he slipped up in a way he beats himself up about because he clearly doesn’t understand how he could have lost track so quickly, he was having a conversation with the guy less than five minutes ago, reminiscing and such. How could he have mistaken his name so easily?
You shrug his slip-up off and chalk it up to his preppiness shining through. You hate to admit something so small has made your respect dwindle a bit, but you can’t help but feel he’s only pretending to care (or trying to) as a way to make up for his tendency to be an ass in high school. He was never an ass to you, and you’re not really sure if he was ever an ass to others, but it’s the type of persona he exuded when you saw him walking through the halls looking like Sarah Orzechowski's’ trophy husband.
“What, was our banter back there not enough for you?” You look back to Tyler, still working and unable to pay attention to you.
Brendon shrugs. “No, I just—I couldn’t tell if you guys were best friends or if you hated each other’s guts and were doing that thing where you’re just acting like your best friends out of spite.”
“Oh. Well, that makes sense. No we uh, we’re friends? I think?” You tuck some hair behind your ear and look out through the window.
“You think?”
“Well…I never really gave him the time of day until yesterday.”
Brendon Ooohs in curiosity like a schoolboy and sits up. “What happened yesterday?”
Should you tell him? Could you tell him? It’s not like he’d give a damn, right?
“Eh. I just took him to this party.”
He slumps back down in his chair, going “Oh,” somewhat dissatisfied. Then his eyes bounce back and forth between you and Tyler, and he sits up again and lets out a more enthusiastic, “Oh!” He looks a bit worried too. “What-where, which party?”
“Just a girl from school.”
He nods, hoping you’ll continue. After all, he went to school with you.
“Jenna Black? Remember her?” Brendon smiles eerily then nods. “Well, remember that ‘Mad-Man’ Tyler was going on about earlier? Well, he was at her party last night. It’s a weird thing to bond over but it’s the only thing me and him have ever bonded over so I guess I should just enjoy it, right?”
Brendon huffs, “Yeah. Uhm, what made him a ‘mad-man’? Was he just a douche or something?” He takes a sip and hums as he finds the chill overwhelming.
You raise your brows, waiting to see when the brain freeze has blown over, and when he gives you a thumbs up you elaborate. “Well, he wasn’t really a mad-man. He wasn’t mean or gropey or anything…Well…” You suppose he could have been considered that. You see a flash of worry on Brendon’s face when you hesitate but you don’t give him time to express his worry further. “Anyways, he respected my boundaries. He was just a little weird.”
Whether or not a man proposing you become his partner-in-crime is a mad-man or exhilarating is subjective. The problem is you can’t figure out which side you’re on.
As you ponder on this and allow Brendon to try and visualize the situation you’ve presented, you pull out your phone and get a look at Clyde’s texts. He shut up a few minutes ago. You scroll all the way to the top where he graced your screen for the first time by sending a strawberry emoji. What follows is paragraphs of ranging size and the content is not what you could imagine coming out of Clyde’s mouth. Well, you only ever saw the man in top-notch skeleton makeup, you could hardly make out the shape of his lips.
You squint as you look to the messages, and seeing how you’re preoccupied Brendon takes his phone out. You don’t know how to respond to Clyde. He goes on about mistakes and contingency plans, double checking to see if you’re really up for anything.
I’m not gonna bail on you. Chill out
You send and exit your messages but he right on top of that, responding with:
Just making sure.
You look up at Brendon and flash him a smile, waving your phone around a bit. “Sorry—mad-man.” He chuckles nervously and nods then goes back to doing what he was doing, looking down at his phone with his hand pressed over his lips.
As long as its all in good fun. No smuggling a man’s fortune just to pig out, alright?
Brendon nods and you peak up at him. Then Clyde responds.
All in good fun. Legal, but fun.
You crack a smile. There’s nowhere else to go from there’s so you set your phone screen-down on the table. You take a breath. “Sorry, about that.”
Brendon purses his lips and nods, typing away but keeping his eyes on you. “You gave the man-man your phone number?” He chuckles and bites into his lip as he reads over what he writes. You stretch your neck and get the faintest peak at his screen, but the messages are unreadable anyhow. Besides, whatever paragraph he was working on he deletes with a few quick taps against the ‘delete’ key.
You roll your eyes. “It’s more like he bugged me to give it to him.”
“…And you gave in?”
Yeah, you kinda did. But still, you try to explain yourself. “Well, I mean—”
“Heh, Y/n, you don’t give your number to some guy you call a ‘mad-man.’” You get where he’s coming from and you have a feeling in no time you’ll be cursing yourself for your foolishness but what can you say? Boredom is a bitch and you’re at the epitome of it.
“I’ll keep you updated.”
After you conclude your conversation with Clyde Brendon seems to finish his and is more focused on your conversation. You don’t stay sat in the quaint corner for too long—unless thirty minutes in a coffee-shop is long but oh well.
Tyler’s getting on well behind the counter and though the crowd is a large one it builds steadily. He’s given enough time in-between drinks to relax and observe you and Brendon when he’s not bugging Josh, but you don’t find yourself returning the attention.
Your talk with Brendon is nice. It’s simple and ordinary, but nice. It’s the things you would normally catch up on, like asking if you’ve heard any news about this person or that person from your class and going back to talk crap about the teachers you dealt with and the things you saw. There’s some sweeter reminiscing too, like going back to share memories of your science teacher and that riot of a class.
Brendon finished his drink some time ago and has been going back to play with the straw, forgetting every time that there’s nothing in the cup to slosh around.
You look over to see Tyler, his side facing you as he looks past the threshold ‘officially’ separating your station and Josh’s. Then you look through the window, people walking past at hurried paces—a group of ‘kids’ in particular, one rushing forward to hold the door open for the rest.
You scoot your chair back, gripping the seat. “I uhm, I should probably go…” You stand and Brendon stands too.
“Oh yeah yeah no problem,” he says, looking down and around the floor to make sure he hasn’t dropped anything. Then he smiles at you and your hand, stretched out and hoping he’ll shake it. He chuckles a bit at the formal-nature of your goodbye, but takes your hand and shakes it as he pushes his chair in.
You can’t think of anything else to do. You’ve already said your goodbye and there’d be no point in wishing him a good rest of his day (well, you could but it seems a bit too formal), so you go to slip on by him when he reaches out and wraps his hand around your wrist.
You think nothing of it—you don’t even jump—but he recoils almost as though your skin is hot to the touch and he hisses, “Sorry! I uhm, just—”
“Oh don’t worry about it.”
He nods his head up then continues, “I wanted to know uh, what time are you working…maybe?” He slips a hand in his back pocket and runs the other through his hair. “If you’re willing to share that is—I understand if you’re not.”
“Oh it’s fine! Uh, I always work around this time but if I’m not here to make your daily drink Tyler’s not so bad at it either evidently.” You gesture for his cup, empty with some white and pink staining the plastic sides.
He clicks his tongue. “Ah, I see. And I take it that going out for coffee wouldn’t be the most ideal way to spend your time off of work?”
You suck in a breath and shake your head. “Yeah, I get enough coffee in my veins.”
“So…”
You teeter between the toes and your heels, turning your nose up and giving Brendon a look of your side. You smirk too, “I haven’t had a good meal in a while.”
Brendon leans back, nodding softly. “Mmm…good to know, good to know—well listen, totally coincidental, but I got a good place I was looking to go to for some time, but you know, it can be a bit awkward going out to eat alone.”
You chuckle, “And what day were you planning on going to this place?”
He lowers his chin to his chest and points a finger at you. “Next mon—” You scrunch your nose up, “Tues—” You gently shake your head, “Wednesday?”
You nod rapidly, gently bouncing on your feet. “Wow—weird! I’m, totally free next Wednesday, how crazy is that?”
“I know, it’s just like the universe decided to line up!”
“Total coincidence!”
“Totally!” Brendon takes a deep breath then quickly runs his tongue over his lips. You look to the corner of your eye and spot Tyler, his head down low as he makes a drink but his eyes peeking up at you from behind his brows. He’s smiling too, and you smile back before looking to Brendon who claps his hands together. “So, I will pick you up? Maybe?”
You click your tongue and put your finger to your lips to think. “Maybe you should give me your number first? You know, so I can give you my address and such.”
“Perfect!” You clap your hands together then hold your hand out and wait for him to give you his phone. He does and you add yourself to his contacts. You send yourself a quick text and fight the urge to go back and take the quickest glimpse at his other messages--you want to see who from school he’s still in contact with is all. But thinking better of yourself you don’t. You lock his phone and hand it to him.
“Well…” He takes a look around the cafe, then does a sort of bow. “I will see you tomorrow? For my casual daily cup of Sickly Strawberry that is.”
“Sounds like a plan.”
You go back to your station to share your usual space with Tyler and Brendon makes his way out of the cafe. He looks around and snaps his finger into a point at Tyler as some sort of goodbye. Brendon nearly stumbles and almost runs into an incoming customer but his general gracefulness saves him. After he’s out of sight you feel Tyler’s arm brush against yours. You stand side by side against the counter, looking over the heads of the customers approaching the line.
“I’m really good at this wing-man thing,” he says with a sly smile.
You roll your eyes and playfully slap his arm with the back of your hand before walking off.
He stomps and holds his hands out to his side as he faces you. “You’re not even gonna tell me when’s the date?”

OUAT 3X21 AND 3X22 - “Snow Drifts” AND “There’s No Place Like Home”
Watch what happens when Miss Swan tries to EMMA-ncipate herself from Storybrooke!
Tumblr media
Bwahahahahah!!!!
Anyways, let’s do the time warp agaiiiiiiiinn!
You better WATCH yourself because we’re going back to revisit the Season 3 finale below the cut! XD
I’m sorry this is so late! Super Smash Bros Ultimate kind of stole my life for a few weeks, but I’m back now!
Press Release
While Mary Margaret and David celebrate the naming of their son at a coronation in Granny’s Diner, Emma and Hook are pulled into Zelena’s time portal and find themselves in the Enchanted Forest of the past. But in their quest to discover a way back, they must be careful not to change ANYTHING or risk altering the lives of their friends and family – as well as their very own existence.
Main Thoughts - Characters/Stories/Themes and Their Effectiveness
Past/Present/Everything (?) XD
“Back to the Future” is my all time favorite movie, so is it any surprise that I fucking love this two parter? No? Well, good! Now let’s talk about why!
Revisiting this finale really shows me just how many story and plot points were set up in those first few minutes in such a natural way. This is easily one of the tightest finales in the show’s history in that regard. The story and plot here is so well paced. Never does anything, even for a second feel off or poorly spoken or anything of the sort! It’s just good! The absolute best instance of this is the two Hooks scene. Like, that was just so fucking CRAFTY for how Killian and Emma organize and enact the plan to get Snow to work for him.
I like how the opening of the episode finally lays out all the cards: Emma’s decision to go back to New York is a selfish one. She plainly admits this and spells out why. It’s framed as a bad thing to do and the episode’s goal is to tackle that. It’s the heart of the episode and it’s incredibly effective thanks to those opening shots that show just how much pain Emma’s been in throughout her past.
Oh my fucking God, all of the actors are just amazing here! EVERYONE gets a great moment! I talk a ton about Emma and Jen, obviously, so let’s give a shoutout to the others! Robert Carlyle gets to put all of Rumple’s delicious character aspects on display, from Rumple’s silliness to Mr. Gold’s snarkiness to both of their more sympathetic sides. Lana gets some fucking delicious ham as we see her Season 1 Evil Queen come out! Josh pulls off the perfect mix between being everything that Prince Charming is supposed to be with a more modern snark that makes him human. The same goes for Ginny, though the placement of this episode has Snow showing off a more believably cynical side to the character, which she nails! Jared Gilmore performs a fantastic Henry, understanding though still always tugging at Emma to come and stay home. Emilie de Ravin’s heart and soul during the wedding scene is just so present, so much so that I just feel myself bursting out in tears throughout the whole scene. And Colin, who boy! Colin had to take on two versions of himself and every moment of that was just delicious!
”Lovely ball the other night.” ...Is this to say that there was a day break between Emma being caught by Regina’s guards and being put in her cell? It makes sense, but WOW! I never thought of it like that!
The execution scene. The fucking kills me. I know Snow’s alive, but I don't fucking care. I still feel every bit of that sense of dread and disgust as the fireball takes her. And how that affects Emma, she can barely speak and when even the possibility of Snow being alive comes to light, Emma’s immediately back to full energy! Emma’s love for Snow is such an effective driving force behind the solving of her conflict of finding home. The moment that choked me up this time was Emma shouting “you’re alive” to Snow right before hugging her. Just...and then we have to sit on the reaction when Snow doesn’t recognize her. It’s just too much.
And Emma’s revelation. I love how slow and emotional the moment gets to be as she tells Killian why she wants to stop running and how she values her mother and life in Storybrooke. It’s so heartbreaking and heartwarming in the same vein. It’s this gentle breakdown that understands that yes, Emma has been selfish, but she wants to do and be better for everyone, including herself. She wants to be like the rest of her family. She wants to be a part of something. And the smile on hers and Killian’s face as she comes to terms with that lesson...it’s just the best kind of payoff! And then the reunion, accompanied by that GORGEOUS melody as Emma finally remedies her behavior towards her parents. It’s one of the most beautiful moments in the entire show.
So let’s talk about Baby Neal briefly, or rather, his name. This is one of the most contentious points in the entire fandom. I...don’t love it (but don’t hate it), but only because Snow and Charming didn’t interact with Neal all that much. Had they had any meaningful time together, I think this naming would’ve been not only good, but great. Even still though, I don’t really care too much one way or the other. I’m one of those people who is completely fine with kids on this show being named after the dead. Maybe that’s because it’s the case in so much of the other media that I’ve seen throughout my life and apart of the Jewish culture I grew up with, but I don’t understand the fandom’s hangup with that reason for names. People are named after the dead. It’s not that big of a deal.
Insights - Stream of Consciousness
-Guys, that is just cruel and unusual punishment to make all of the kids stand outside and watch a kid get adopted right in front of them. I get they’re trying to be polite and inspire hope, but they’ve GOT to know that that’s difficult for the non adopted kids to watch! Like, the actual fuck?!
-Dammit. The cameraman who kept the shot on Emma as she sees a kid driving off with a new family fucking is an evil genius and fucking WRECKS me! *sobs into infinity*
-Do you think Lucy had a coronation ceremony?
-Potluck at Granny’s, huh? I don’t know if that’s good because you’re thrusting less work onto Granny or bad because you’re denying her the business.
-Okay, I know Emma’s running away from her problems and all, but that retort about Snow and David stalling for time was fucking hysterical! XD
-Robin, that is one luxurious spread! But why are you guys sitting on the floor?! Don’t you know that Regina’s a queen and a bit more refined? XD
-”I would’ve walked through hell to be with my Marian again.” ...Dammit. I really want a Robin/Marian Underworld fic.
-”That [vault] was only for the most dangerous and unstable magic.” Then that sounds like a GREAT place for the dagger! “And this doesn’t qualify?” “No.” YES!
-To tell you the truth, I guess when you factor in both Rumple’s sacrifice AND the fact that he’s scary powerful, it makes sense that Maurice would bless the marriage. Like, he’s still a shit person, but the decision makes sense. I do feel though like they just stuck him in so that there was one extra person at the wedding, but I’d honestly think Ruby would’ve been a more appropriate choice since she was closer to Belle and even helped out Rumple on occasion, especially since she was actually in the episode.
-The entire back-and-forth about the origins of Snowing is the greatest thing in the world! XD
-KATHRYN! My sweet cinnamon roll!!! You look so happy and you’re talking with Best Matriarch!!! <3
-Okay! The Captain Cobra moment here is so fucking underrated! Henry trusts Killian with his fucking storybook! Like, this book just gave him back his memories and Henry trusts Killian with it to help his mom! Just...YES PLEASE!!!!
-”Stubborn like her...all of our family.” To be fair, have you MET your family, David? That correction is pretty accurate.
-”She would curb any homicidal tendencies.” ...I’m pretty sure that’s not how that works, mate!
-I love RC’s “oh shit” face.
-...To tell you the truth, now that we know Zelena survived, that corrupted footage isn’t that far off the mark.
-”You defeated the bloody Wicked Witch. You defeated Pan.” ...You’re not fully on the mark, Killian, but I do agree that she had a big part in taking them down.
-I LOVE THIS FUCKING MIRROR LAKE!
-Lana! Lana! There’s so much beautiful ham here and I love you for it!!! This scene where she’s intimidating the villagers! Just...this is perfection!
-BOOBS! I mean...Emma’s EF attire looks great! ...BOOBS! <3
-I just LOVE Emma’s smile as she watches the set up for her parent’s first meeting. Like, I legit reared up because that smile alongside the Snowing theme just...it was fantastic.
-”It’s a miracle you two fall for each other.” I love that ‘da fuq, Emma’ look Killian gives Emma.
-I love that look Killian gives Emma when he says “me.”
-...Damn, Killian looks good funny encased in shadows.
-And then he has to say “privacy” in only the way Killian Jones can do.
-”Ooh confidence. I like it.” And I like your confidence. ...Damnit, OUAT men! Stop being so attractive!
-Regina just ROCKS her every entrance!
-”It’s all about the tumblers.” I spell it differently, but I feel you, man. XD
-I love the way Neal describes his past with Rumple. The tragedy of their separation comes from the fact that they loved each other so much, but Rumple couldn’t overcome his demons in a way that could help them stay together.
-I LOVE this Captain Charming scene. The bros are so supportive of one another, though David doesn’t fully grasp who Killian is to him!
-”Who knows? Maybe you’ll end up with them again.” ...That hurrrrts!
-Ruby is such a badass!!!
-”Hook!” How strange must this nickname be to everyone else in this room?! XD
-*Snow sneaks up on Regina* Oh SNOW you didn’t!!! XD
-Aww! I love that Red Snow hug!!!
-You know, I really like the design of the trolls and am sad that they weren’t used more often.
-”I’m devilishly handsome again.” Yes you are!
-Gee! Is that urn important?
-I love both Rumple and Emma’s reactions to Neal’s name. That subtle happiness, especially on Rumple’s face, is just so beautiful!
-So I have so many feelings on Killian ‘ditching his crew.’ I actually wrote an entire fic about it. BUT that having been said, I think the choice he made was the right one.
-Archie, they’re getting married, not going ice skating. Wear a fucking suit!
-I can’t get as swept up in the OQ tragedy because Roland says “mama” and that is too fucking cute!
-Okay, that reveal of Elsa was SO FUCKING WELL SHOT! I love the slow buildup to her reveal, from the icy blue liquid in the urn to the forming of her dress to the shape of her hair to the dismissal of the liquid and finally, to the reveal of her powers! What an EPIC intro! Best one ever! Now I know you’re upset about that, Regina, but you just have to *takes deep breath* LET IT GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (And THAT’S how you close out a season!)
Arcs - How Are These Storylines Progressing?
Emma Accepting Home - So look, I love how every season touches upon another aspect of Emma’s acceptance of people into her life, but on some level, I do get how the fandom got sick of it after a certain point. I firmly believe that this was the best and ultimate moment of culmination of this aspect of Emma’s character. That’s not to say that I didn’t like it in other seasons. Fuck no, I loved it in other seasons, but this was the best handling of it. The idea of those Emma loves and their philosophies on home and family all come together in this beautifully blended way. Emma’s parents, Henry, Killian, Neal, and more all contribute to her outlook on her life in Storybrooke and how her walls can be detrimental. And seeing Emma realize that makes for such a beautiful journey.
Killian’s Redemption - “That man sitting there, you don’t know him. Just be careful.” I feel like this line speaks to Killian’s improvement. He doesn’t want someone he cares for to see how lousy he was. And Killian’s redemption really gets its proper payoff here. With many of his past wrongs righted, Killian is finally given appreciation for helping get Emma back to Storybrooke. I think there’s an added layer to “you traded your ship for me.” Basically, Emma has to press him unyieldingly in order to find this out, meaning that he was never going to tell her on his own. He was willing to give up his home and have the act go anonymous.
Regina’s Redemption - ….Fuck. So, I’ve gone on about how I loved Regina’s Redemption this season. That is completely true. And this is where we take a GIANT step back. I GET that Regina feels resentment towards Emma. In this episode, it’s even at an okay level. BUT, going forward, this gives way to perhaps my least favorite Regina arcs. Thankfully, it only lasts for five episodes and I like the handling of it in the first four...you know what? We’ll talk about it when we get there! Apart from that aspect, I felt like Regina had reached a good place here! Her character is becoming more concrete.
Rumple’s Redemption - This is one of those episodes where Rumple’s decision to hide the real dagger and the truth about Zelena’s death makes things really sticky. And don’t forget, I was on his side for her death, but now’s the time to come forward! Apart from this aspect of it, something not at all glossed over in the episode itself, Rumple is framed as good. His wedding is a moment of character payoff and the happiness he feels as he gets married and Snowing’s son is named after Neal feels earned in a lot of ways. And the weirdest thing is that that’s Rumple for you: Undeniable someone with a big heaping helping of darkness, but a fuckton of character in there too. Like, this doesn’t ruin the episode by any means, but it’s there and it’s weird.
Neal’s Death - “Home is the place when you leave, you just miss it.” I think it was a fantastic story element to make one of the most poignant and thematically present lines in the episode something Emma learned from Neal. Not only that, but even some more of Neal’s minor advice comes in handy, like how to unlock the prison cell!
Favorite Dynamic
Emma and Killian. ...Look I work hard not to incorporate too much shipping into the meatier parts of the review and I’ll keep the romance out of it, I promise. So just give me this one. Cool beans? Cool beans. But seriously, I do actually have completely non-shippy reasons to love this dynamic as it works in this episode. For a time travel story to really work, there needs to be at the heart of it characters who know what’s going on and can interact with one another. It’s the most important dynamic in the story and if they fucked it up, the rest of the tale would’ve fallen apart, but thankfully, with Emma and Killian together, the special thrived. Killian and Emma both bring something to the table. Emma brings that fresh face and serves as a focal point for the story. Her naivete of some of the fairy tale elements and personal relationship to the people from the past is what keeps the story going and engaging. And Killian in a lot of ways helps to keep her grounded. While he cares deeply for Emma, his existence is not the one on the line and his lack of a familial relationship allows for some space between him and the events. He gets to be the clear thinker when Emma panics and her guide since this is his world as well as the voice of reason. And in return, Emma gets to perform the cool stunts, save people, and stand up to the past version of the Evil Queen. She even gets to save Killian’s ass in the case of royal balls and keeping his past self distracted. Together, they get to bounce around ideas, make jokes, and share moments of revelations that other characters in this episode aren’t and can’t be privy to. These two characters come together and make for a good and balanced dynamic for that reason. Additionally, Jen and Colin’s chemistry allows for a balance between things being lighthearted and serious when they need to be. Whether you like them as a couple or not, I don’t think it can be denied that they are the reason for why the main story was as entertaining as it was.
Writer
We have four writers here, two per episodes. David Goodman and Robert Hull worked on “Snow Drifts” and Adam and Eddy wrote “There’s No Place Like Home.” And they all did so freakin’ well! You can tell how careful these guys were with most every writing decision ever made. They managed to rework a fantastic episode, “Snow Drifts,” while still keeping to the dignity of it at the same time. It gels so well into also being a family story and allowing for as many fun character interactions as possible.
Rating
Double Golden Apple! What more can I honestly say? It’s as close to perfect as OUAT can get for me!
Flip My Ship - The Home of All Things “Shippy Goodness”
CAPTAIN SWAN, MOFOS! - THERE IS A REASON THIS BEAUTIFUL EPISODE IS CALLED THE CS MOVIE BECAUSE HOT DAMN IT IS A CS MOVIE!!!!! As I said in the “Favorite Dynamics” section, Killian is a constant source of support for Emma. He knows that she belongs with her family, respects her ideas, and challenges her. And just, let’s get through the moments, okay?! Like, he goes through a time portal for her! “One of these days, I’m gonna stop chasing this woman.” The fuck you are, buddy. You’re chasing her for all eternity! And just, he’s got her. He keeps her sane as she freaks out. He helps her relax. And just...the LOOKS he gives her! Like, look at how they joke around when Emma changes clothes, those little flirty looks! XD And speaking up, how about that loosening up of the corset and “you and I both know I’m his type?” Because that kills me. It utterly kills me! Someone drag my soul out of the Underworld because that scene destroys me in the best way possible! And the dude gets jealous of Emma kissing his past self, so fucking jealous that he needs to take his-fucking-self out! XD AND NOW WE GET TO THE BALL! THE FUCKING BALL THAT OWNS MY ETERNAL ASS! First, look at those smiles as Killian compliments Emma. THEN look at how Emma covers for Killian like a mofo’in boss! FINALLY, THE DANCING. IMMORTALIZED IN THE BOOK FOR ALL TIME IS MY FAVORITE CS MOMENT! EMMA GETS TO PLAY PRINCESS AND FEEL LIKE A ROYAL. KILLIAN GETS TO TREAT HER TO SUCH AND TEACH HER HOW TO WALTZ. AND THEY”RE SMILING AND HAVING SO MUCH FUN. IT”S PERFECT! HONESTLY PERFECT! Okay, I’m semi-recovered from that. Now, I also LOVE how Emma holds that ring to Killian and it looks just SO much like she’s proposing! And THEN “I’d go to the end of the world for her. Or time.” Just...you need to stop loving Emma so much because my heart cannot take it! And notice Emma’s smile when she says “Hook.” Then, we get an interesting callback to the Neverland Arc. When Emma asks Killian about his brother, Killian’s unwilling to talk about it, but here, knowing she needs that, he tells her what she needs to know. AND “I always knew there was a little pirate in you Swan.” She’s certainly getting there! And just...I love how Killian’s both harsh and gentle with Emma as she has her moment of realization. And THEN, Emma, after being with Killian for most of basically two or three days, goes out to see him again because he’s all alone! Just...the confession about giving up The Jolly Roger for love. I love how Killian never intended to reveal this and how Emma knows the weight of that choice. It just makes the subsequent kiss so satisfying!
Rumbelle - Oh yeah...There are other couples in this episode too! XD Sorry, but yes, I ADORED the Rumbelle in this episode. Like, in the past, I love how Rumple gets so embarrassed by Belle thinking that he talked about her and how he dismissed her. It’s so cute! And now, that wedding! That wedding! Just...what can I say about these vows? They’re perfect. The editing allows them to encompass every other couple while the lines are still completely their own and work perfectly for Rumbelle as a couple. Rumbelle is every other couple at their best and worst, a mix of best and worst traits and I feel like this wedding is a celebration of that fact. On a funnier note, I love how Rumple and Belle didn’t even wait for the fucking “I do’s” and just went at each other with  a kiss!
Outlaw Queen - Robin and Regina’s office picnic is so adorable and honest and open and beautiful! Like, they put everything on the floor, emotionally speaking.
Robin/Marian - Talking about Marian is difficult when you know that she’s actually Zelena, but this episode allows for her mostly to be herself, allowing for an accurate take on her. And to tell you the truth, I like this couple in a lot of ways. I love how much Robin misses Marian and that while he has moved on from her death, still cares for her so deeply. And Marian adores Robin! As soon as she’s free, she basically says “fuck it” to the stipulations of her freedom in order to be with him and Roland. Their love for each other is such a subtle and prevalent thing!
Snowing - Okay, so before we get to the past, let me say that I LOVE all of the Snowing banter at Granny’s! You can just TELL that a couple’s truly great when they can just joke and bicker about how they met and they have that down in SPADES! And in the past, I love the care that went into re-making Snowing’s story, but in a way that was still true to the original version. Though Emma, Killian, and Rumple are pulling the strings, Snow and Charming’s love is so carefully made to be all their own doing and that was so important. And I love the mix of new and old content so much. The repetition of lines just shows how true Snow and Charming’s love really is! And honestly, there’s something so special about Snow and Charming’s daughter being the one to bring them together!
Golden Hook - ...There’s so much FOETP goodness in here. Just, those hate-filled looks in the forest, that suffocation, the quips about burying the hatchet! There has never been true hate in all the lands! <3 Also, when Emma asks about how Killian got his hook, Killian’s next response is to say that she knows “who he is.” This hook and it’s origins, Rumple, are who he is.
Swanfire - That amusement park date was too cute and I really love how Neal’s advice is something that sticks with Emma. It shows Emma’s nuance as a character, as she can accept good and bad things about Neal, even during periods of time where she hated him. And I legit fucking BAWLED when Emma was telling Rumple about how she loved Neal and how he was a hero. Like, just...don’t talk to me! That was too much!
-----
Again, I am SO sorry this review took so long and wasn’t as deep as some of my others! Super Smash Bros, guys. Fucking dangerous. There was more that I wanted to talk about in this episode, but I’d rather you get the review than spend any more time! Thanks, as always, to @daensarah and @watchingfairytales!!! Love you guys so much!!! Hopefully, I can get the Overview done within the next few days and then we can get to season 4!!!!

Dream Journal 2019-04-18: Driving Unsafely And Menacing Radio Broadcasts
Man, I have been absolutely exhausted lately. I want nothing more than to crawl in the bed and sleep, but you, my dear readers, are important and deserve the quality content my sleeping brain occasionally provides. BEHOLD ITS SUBCONSCIOUS MAJESTY.
Dream Fragments
Speaking of being tired, you know how can get really tire when you’re driving on a long trip and you play that dangerous game where you’re driving fast on the interstate and instead of pulling over to take a nap, you keep driving and close your eyes for just a seconds? Yeah, I was really good at doing that in this dream, and drove from my house to somewhere in the middle of Arkansas and barely looked at the road. Also my GPS was weird blotchy colors and the map stayed the same while the animated car on the GPS meandered around the green and blue splotches that represented Arkansas.
The Main Dream: Someone Really Doesn’t Like Me And Has Mastered The Art Of Psychological Warfare
I’m alone in my car, and despite it being late at night, I’m driving to a church function (at a Methodist church, if you’re curious). My podcasts are playing through the speakers as I pull into the parking lot. Ever since I discovered podcasts, I haven’t really felt the desire to listen to the radio, but I thought I would surprise myself for the trip back home and swap the speaker input over to radio. I haven’t turned the car off yet, so the radio begins to play...
...And my local public radio station is not broadcasting the content I expect. Instead, it’s a menacing message that features a male voice whose age I would estimate as being around 18 years old. The message is occasionally garbled by digital noise, but it starts like this:
“Who does that Fish Davidson think he is? I see him driving around in that red [make and model of a car I once owned]. I see him. I’m watching him.”
This is only vaguely upsetting to me, because my first thought is that someone has hacked the church’s low power FM transmitter to broadcast this weird message. And for some reason in the world of this dream, this is not the first time the church has gotten hacked like this. I turn off the radio and try to avoid thinking about the message, but it’s gnawing at my brain.
For example, my car isn’t red, but I did own (at one point) the model car mentioned from that model year. Does this person actually know me? Are they just trying to troll me with information that is equal parts wrong and right? Am I in danger right now? What are the chances that this is just some weird art project and this is just a giant coincidence?
It doesn’t take long to find out that this is a targeted attack on my psyche. My phone rings, and it’s a number I don’t recognize. The lock screen shows that “suspected spam caller” message so I decline the call. My voicemail icon blinks on, indicating that the caller has just left a message. This is weird, because spam callers don’t normally leave messages. I check my voicemail as I’m walking into the church.
The message is the same garbled message that played on the radio earlier. “Who does that Fish Davidson think he is?” My phone rings again. It’s a different number, but still not one I recognize. Still a spam caller, and it leaves another message. The second voicemail message is almost identical to the first, though different parts of the message are garbled and it seems to be repeating on a loop.
More calls flow in, along with more messages. Some of the messages include a part that I didn’t hear the first time around that says something like “So I say to myself: Josh, what can you do about Fish Davidson and that stupid red car of his?” Honestly, the fact that the messages were consistently misidentifying my car was the part that managed to freak me out the most.
I make it into the sanctuary of the church. There isn’t actually a church service going on, but there’s a potluck dinner and dance recital happening. If you like ham, this would be a good time to indulge. Normally I would pig out on the buffet line, but I’m worried about my phone (which is still receiving calls constantly) and also my safety (which I’m pretty sure is somehow in jeopardy right now). I explain my predicament to the various people there and even play some of the messages on speakerphone to see if anyone recognizes the voice.
My brother is mingling in the crowd at the church and I ask him if maybe one of his friends is trying to prank me. I play him one of the messages and he recognizes something inside the message. He knows who did this, but he won’t say who. Instead, he stomps off to the local public library that is coincidentally right across the hall from the sanctuary.
A skinny kid who looks like Tyler Barriss is hiding behind a shelf of books. My brother walks up to him and starts kicking the crap out of him. Apparently this kid’s real name is Rory, but my brother is convinced that he’s the dude responsible. I scream at Rory to stop being a jerk and conveniently allow my brother to keep beating up on this dude.
I still don’t know if Rory was the one responsible, though.

LOST rewatch (season 6)
[follow the entire rewatch-tag here]
episode 1 & 2 – LA X:
Desmond looking good as always
I don’t like the “the island is underwater” sequence. Such an obvious red herring.
“Why didn’t he fight back? Why did he let me just kill him?”
“I’m sorry you had to see me like that.”
“We can go Dutch.”
Still not a fan of the Indiana Jones hippie temple
“I don’t like the way English tastes on my tongue.”
“You’re the monster.” – “Let’s not resort to name calling.”
STOP TALKING ABOUT MY BABY JOHN LIKE THAT!
episode 3 – What Kate Does:
GET CREEPY ETHAN OUT OF THERE!
It’s Claire Rousseau
episode 4 – The Substitute:
Okay this is when the real feels begin!
Helen, I love you!
I’d give a lot to be able to talk to Terry O’Quinn while he’s taking a bath tbh…
I feel for Richard
There it is… the weirdest damn funeral Frank Lapidus has ever been to
“John Locke was a believer, he was a man of faith, he was a much better man than I will ever be and I’m very sorry I murdered him.”
I cannot believe James just walked down this ladder of death
JOHN’S ABOUT TO MEET DR. LINUS!!!
“Tea? Now there’s a gentleman’s drink.”
episode 5 – Lighthouse:
Oh course…. Sideways Jack has a son, totally forgot that
I kinda… don’t give a frick about Jack and his son tbh – not that that’s a surprise
“That’s not John, this is my friend.”
episode 6 – Sundown:
Sideways Sayid looks sweet and cute whereas island Sayid just looks hot as fucking hell
Fucking Martin Keamy
Ben’s fucking terrified of Sayid
episode 7 – Dr. Linus:
Oh my God, it’s happening!
Dr. Linus is a beautiful human being
“It’s Dr. Linus, actually.”
“Taking care of the kids, that’s what’s important!”
I AM HERE FOR THE HIGHSCHOOL AU!!!
I love that sideways Ben can only fix up a microwave meal whereas island Ben cooks that mean ham
HIS GLASSES ARE SO SWEET, they make him look so kind and… not dangerous at all
Alex <3
A rare genuine smile from Benjamin friggin Linus!!!!
“Linus, you’re a real killer.”
Fuckin Smokey, stop using my children for your sick game!
Here’s comes the most emotional speech that’s ever happened on the entire show
“I watched my daughter Alex die in front of me and it was my fault. I had a chance to save her but I chose the island – over her. All in the name of Jacob. I sacrificed everything for him and he didn’t even care.”
“I don’t expect you to forgive me because I can never forgive myself.”
Ben offering his help to Sun and Sun accepting it – HELP!!!
episode 8 – Recon:
The shirt Sawyer’s wearing looks like Richard’s shirt
I feel like Josh Holloway is less buff now than he was at the beginning of the show and I absolutely dig it!
“puppy dog eyes and a sad sunflower”
episode 9 – Ab Aeterno:
Fun story: the first time I watched Ab Aeterno was on Netflix and for some reason the subtitles didn’t work so throughout the entire episode I thought we weren’t supposed to understand the stuff that’s in Spanish
Ilana: So, Richard, what do we do next? – Richard: lol
His backstory is so tragic I’m gonna cry
Anyway, I know I say this about a lot of guys on LOST but… objectively speaking Nestor Carbonell is the most beautiful man on the whole show
I wonder if they’ve always planned for Richard to have come on the Black Rock
“It’s good to see you out of these chains.”
Titus Welliver has similar facial expressions to Terry O’Quinn which makes him perfect for playing the og Smokey
episode 10 – The Package:
Sun, my lovely wife
What is it with her and bumping her head against trees?
BEN FINDS HER!!!! I need Ben and Sun to be friends!!!!
I am so here for a Sun and Ben friendship. Give it to me now!!
I just remembered that Ben will kill Widmore and now I cannot wait!!!
Have I ever noticed that this is actual Mikhail Bakunin in the sideways?!?!
episode 11 – Happily Ever After:
Des, my bebe!!!
Of course Desmond is Charles Widmore’s protégé in the sideways
I love how Desmond’s sideways mission is to reunite everyone with the love of their lives
episode 12 – Everybody Loves Hugo:
Oh, Michael, of course, totally forgot about that
LIBBY MY DARLING!
Bye bye Ilana
Ben’s loyalty to Richard kills me
Dr. Linus protecting John Locke <3
episode 13 – The Last Recruit:
“John Locke was the only one of us who believed in this place.”
Ben going to the hospital with John <3
Season 6 Jack is really attractive
Wait… where’s Ben??
Jack really leaving Claire behind?!?!
Sun and Jin are reunited <3
episode 14 – The Candidate:
Honestly tho… Jack looks 10 times better and it’s all just because of that slight change of his hair style
I feel like I don’t have that much to say about season 6 because nothing really happens, like.. the island plot can pretty much be summed up in one sentence and the sideways are just fluff. I like the fluff but… well… to put it simple: there ain’t enough Ben fluff so I’m not that interested tbh
episode 15 – Across The Sea:
You know… it gets really hard to sympathise with Jacob after this episode. Not that I ever sympathised with him but… he just seems like the annoying dudebro in your modern literature seminar that just won’t shut the fuck up
“One day you can make up your own game and then everyone else will have to follow your rules.”
Mother: I made it so you can never hurt each other. – Jacob: *kills his brother*
Mother and Jacob pretending to love Smokey yet they never even bothered to give him a fucking name?!??!
episode 16 – What They Died For:
Ben hasn’t been on screen for three fucking episodes, where’s my murder cactus???
There’s Ben my bebe! Protecting his island husband!
And there’s Cusick’s miss-calculated punch that landed straight in Emerson’s pretty face
I cannot believe Ben remembers because Desmond is punching him
I kinda want more story surrounding Richard, Miles and Ben
Dr. Linus in the nurse’s office and John being soooo impressed
“Why would somebody hurt you? You’re like the nicest guy ever.”
DANIELLE!!!
I ship sideways Ben and Danielle very very much!!!
“You’re the closest thing to a father she’s ever had.” KILL ME!!!
Ben killing Widmore HELL YES!!!!
“He doesn’t get to save his daughter.”
ANA LUCIA!
episode 17 – The End:
Was Widmore the last person Ben kills? I can’t remember but I hope it is.
“Christian Shephard? Seriously?”
“This would be so sweet if we weren’t all about to die.”
JULIET!
“In case you haven’t noticed – I’m a pilot.”
SHANNON!!! I’ve missed you so much!
“You’re not John Locke. You disrespect his memory by wearing his face.”
Ben saving Hugo from the tree <3
YES KATE!!! “I saved you a bullet.”
The moment when John remembers hits me with very intense #feels
“If the island’s going down I’m going down with it.”
They cannot just mirror a shot of Michael Emerson and expect no one will notice
“I don’t believe in a lot of things but I do believe in duct tape.”
Sawyer and Juliet <3
“Ricky boy”
I always wonder if Jack turns into the new Smokey…. But like… a friendly Smokey.
NOT THE BEN IN FRONT OF THE CHURCH SCENE!!!
“Hello Benjamin.” FUUUUUUCK!
“I’m very sorry for what I did to you, John.”
“Well, if it helps, Ben, I forgive you.”
HURLEY ASKING BEN FOR HELP!!!
“Everybody dies sometime, kiddo.”
Christian LITERALLY says that everything that’s ever happened was real and somehow people still think they were dead the whole time????
Okay the final scene is so awesome tho
The fact that Vincent isn’t in the church can only mean that he is immortal
epilogue – The New Man In Charge:
YAAAASSSS!!!
This is how all of season 6 should have been like!
BEN LOOKS SO FUCKING HOT!!!!
The fact they transferred all the Dharma videos to DVD fills me with joy
“I’m genuinely sorry about that but what’s done is done. I can’t change the past. I can only take responsibility for it.”
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!! give me season 7 all about how Hurley, Ben and Walt run the island!!!!

Note
Please for the love of all that is holy, 38 and Royai.
Let’s pretend it hasn’t been like…..five months since you made this request, okay? ok! Have some young!royai with a little bit of trauma.
words: 1791 ;; K+
“You fainted…straight into my arms. You know, if you wanted my attention you didn’t have to go to such extremes.”
A flash of lightning splits across the gray sky. It brightens her vision and she counts the number of seconds before the rumble of thunder reaches her. A gust from the rolling clouds fluffs her short hair and she lifts a hand to block her bangs from covering her face. “The storm isn’t far off now,” she says, turning to her companion. “According to your little trick.”
The city boy stuffs the centerpiece of their funnel cake into his mouth, nodding as he chewed. He swallows with exaggeration, as if he lacked manners. “How far away was that one?”
“Ten seconds,” she hums, calculating. “Two miles away.” Riza gestures towards the Hermanson’s barn; its interior is lit and with faint noises of people at work.  “The planners must’ve known it was going to rain too. They usually have the dancing at the end of the fair outside.”
“Is that right?” He glances over, shaking off the powdered sugar from his hands before stuffing them in his pockets. “How would you know,” He meets her eyes with a glint of mischief in his. “Bring any other boyfriends before?”
Her jaw slacks and a blush heats her cheeks before she can control it. He’s teasing her again and she always falls right for right for it. Every time. She lays it out like funnel cake and he eats it up at her expense. “You are not my boyfriend.”
“Yet..”
Her cheeks burns even more and she nudges his shoulder for lack of a witty comeback as the crowd moves around them towards shelter. She glares at him, “Come on, let’s go inside before it starts pouring.”
It is considerably warmer inside, and the petrichor mingles with the scents of tack, hay, and old wood. A bittersweet nostalgia settles from a time when farm animals were still kept in their barn, and her mother still graced her home.  A band in the corner plays a cacophonous warm up and people begin to situate themselves into seats or within their own crowds. She waves warmly to Mrs. Tilde who runs the bakery and the butcher Mr. Vibert asks for her father, offering a discount as thanks for his help before walking away. She realizes Roy is hanging out a few feet behind her and she motions him to come forward.
“Care to introduce me to the nice people of your town?” He says coolly, but the sway in his stance tells her something else.
Riza hops onto a haystack to sit. Her eyes narrow with a smirk tugging at her lips before she gasps in feigned surprise, “What’s this? Mr. Mustang is shy?”
Roy huffs, “Me? Never.”
“You’ve been here for almost a year. You’ve met most of them already.” She tuts, tapping her finger at her bottom lip. A gathering crowd of curious youths forms before them at a distance, but their sights on the newcomer is clear. “Ah, but it seems luck is on your side today. You won’t have to move a muscle.”
Roy quirks an eyebrow and it flattens with understanding soon after.
She leans into an upturned palm, having witnessed this before.
Tommy Chapman, a tall but stocky boy with a mess of red hair, steps up first. He speaks with a thick, East countryside accent - a rare treat, “Hi there.”
She watches Roy fidget briefly when he notes her absence by his side and awkwardly waves a single swoop of his hand before placing it back in his pocket. “Hello.”
“My names’ Tommy and this here is Bobby, Polly, Duke, Amber, Josh, Billy, Katie, Hunter, Will, and Billy, but he’s small so we call him Shortcake.”
“How do you do?”
Riza clasps a hand over her mouth out of courtesy.
“We know yous livin’ in with the Hawkeye family. We ain’t seen you around an’ we were wonderin’ where you were from.”
His face of confusion shakes her with laughter. But as her father’s apprentice, he picks up a bit quicker than she anticipated.
“Oh, from Central.” He says with his city boy smile. She can spot the twinkle in the girls’ eyes.
“From Central?!” Murmurs and gasps erupt from the small group.
Tommy tells them to hush. “Do ya’ll have lots of cars there?”
“Oh! Are there traffic hams?” Another chimes in. “You know, when there’n so many cars, you’re stopped on the road.”
“That’s traffic jams, you bumpkin.”
“Hey!”
Roy is no stranger to attention, she notes, when he answers each questions born out of fascination. She can’t help the giggle that escapes her as they surround him. He looks at her with pleading eyes to rescue him, but she shrugs in a “what can I do?” sort of way.
“Is it true that there are all sorts of military people there?”
“Are there people with lots of tattoos? I hear that’s becoming a thing now.”
Something within her unexpectedly plummets.
“Tattoos? What are those?”
‘No, don’t.’ Her eyes widen involuntarily and she slides off the hay, the prickling ends scraping at her flesh. Her feet turn into blocks of bricks.
“You know, someone takes some kind of sharp object filled with ink-”
‘Please stop.’
“Like a needle and inks your skin permanently. I saw it in a nickelodeon when I went to visit my Aunt Patsy in the No-”
‘Why me?’
All the noise - the band, Polly, and everything around her - garbles in her mind. Everything is muffled, like someone has stuffed her ears with cotton balls. A flash of cold sweat overcomes her suddenly, then the feel of her skin becomes a numbing sensation and her mind is swimming..
Pictures pop into her sight. Needles. The ink. The dark room. Her father’s study. Her mother’s apron. It burns. Searing, sweltering hot pain. Her arms are too short to reach. She feels it singe beneath her clothes. The funnel cake hangs at the back of her throat , mixed with bile and whatever else had once settled in her stomach. It is all threatening to release from the onslaught of nausea.
She needs to get outside. To breathe, to escape the barn walls from closing in.
When she begins to walk, her strength begins to wane. It seems so easy to just sit behind the hay but something urges her into the downpour. The flash of lightning jolts her, providing her with some clarity to move forward as normally as she can manage. She shakes her head, hands to her temples and closing her eyes to obstruct the images from late nights and silent tears. Riza grabs onto the one of the weight bearing studs for some stability before she wills herself to continue.
She stumbles towards the exit outside of the barn door, grabbing the attention of a few onlookers but no one thinks to pay any mind.
Off to the distance, she hears her name called.
‘Riza, be still.’
She gasps for breath as she reaches the threshold leading her outside.
‘And stop crying.’
The drops from the summer cloudburst pelts at her skin. It seeps into her linen dress and her hair clings to her face in a matter of moments. A hand goes to her chest. She briefly remembers reading about large snakes coiling around its prey. Currently, she feels like prey while an unseen force constricts her breathing. The thunder that roars overhead silences the cold voice of her father from her head. Riza manages to gain some distance from the barn, stepping into wet patches of grass, before her legs tremble and the world goes sideways.
Wrong, she was falling.
+++
The soft patter of the rain stirs her. She groans and notices a warmth underneath her, a comparison to the chill of her wet skin. Riza shivers from a soft breeze and she’s pulled closer to the source of warmth.
Riza’s eyes flutter and she sees the vibrant green shelter of leaves from a grand oak tree, the tiniest rays of sunshine poking through..
Someone gingerly adjusts her bangs away from her eyes, “Welcome back to the world of the living.”
She tries adjust to the light and the sounds around her. The rain splatters on the mud puddles nearby. Her head heavy as a tractor, she moves it slowly to see Roy looking down at her with his tendrils of black hair hanging toward her face, just as drenched as she. “What happened?” She croaks.
“You fainted…straight into my arms. You know, if you wanted my attention you didn’t have to go to such extremes.”
She grins at his absurd remark until the memory floods back to her. “Roy, I-” she clutches his arm, her eye blinking with the sporadic drops of rain landing on her eyelashes. His face falls into concern as he reads hers. She releases the tension in her chest and in her face as a sad realization dawns on her. If she were to tell him, absolutely everything, she knows he’d get uppity and risk his apprenticeship. Her eyes quiver at the thought of him going away, losing this opportunity, after achieving so much more than the others. She lets her arm fall. “I’m sorry.”
“No need to apologize,” he reassures her. “But I did tell you to stay away from that kabob.”
She releases the breath she held and laughs, nodding in agreement., “You were right, it was bad meat.”
“When am I wrong?” Before she can reply, he grunts and lifts her up, one arm hooking her back and the other under her knees.
“Wh-what are you doing?” Riza exclaims, looking around to all corners of the field but him. Her face heats up.
“Taking us home,” he tells her matter-of-factly, taking strides in the direction of the manor. “We’re soaked.”
“Yes, but-” Her fight to prove herself capable is short-lived. Her legs remain mostly unresponsive, shaking with any strength she tries to exert into them. Her arms are subdued by his grasp. Even as she tries to push away, he nimbly readjusts her back in his strong arms and she’s back to square one. She sinks into him, feeling the wet fabric of his shirt on the side of her face, “How embarrassing.”
“You’ll get over it.”
She looks up from her pout and he looks forward. Undisturbed by the rain, he wears a smile that puts her stomach through acrobatics. Her heart decides to join in, landing with heavy pounding and throbbing in her ear when she realizes her predicament. But she hears the thrum of his, through the moist fabric and warm skin - calm and steady.  He almost seems…relieved or happy and she’s silently thankful for him.
She closes her eyes after another string of lightning illuminates the clouds and she counts the seconds before it rumbles in her chest.

Hello! I just want to say I absolutely love your writing and your work and I am so glad I found your blog! I wanted to see if I could request like a mini fic if at all possible because you are honestly one of the few people who manage to capture Wrenche's personality perfectly? I'm having a lot of issues with depression today and it's particularly bad and I was wondering what a goofy adorable Wrench might do to try and cheer someone up?
Anon, I’m sorry to hear you’re having a rough patch. I’m glad I can provide something nice for you to read in the hopes it makes you feel a bit better. Thank you for your wonderful compliments! I have a larger Wrench fic in the works, but hopefully, this will work for now.
I have also posted this on AO3 for an easier read. LINK
Something was up. You only know that because the garage has been quiet for the past hour. At first, you hadn’t realized what that tickle in the back of your head had been, but you realize now that it’s the lack of power tools and robotic sounding ‘fucks’ coming from Wrench’s ‘special’ corner that troubles you. When that particular black cloud decided to hang over your head - which happened at random, lasting however long it wanted - you rarely paid much attention to the outside world. The fact that Wrench’s garage is dead silent, and that you noticed it at all, could only mean he’d stepped out when you weren’t looking or… more realistically, that a bomb was about to go off.
From behind your shoulder, you peer across the bright, dusty expanse of the hangar, spotting Josh’s green hooded-back, researching HaDoCk’s latest batch of emails in his own quiet way. You blink with a slow measure of bleakness, exhaling darkly against the blanket you had draped over your head for the past twenty-four hours. Saftey; you think morosely. The scratchy weight of the fabric doesn’t really help, but you feel a little less like falling into the floor with it blocking out the world around you.
Same principle as hiding under the blankets to escape the monster when you were a kid. The monster was gonna eat you if it wanted, and even as a kid you knew that, but you still hid under the covers anyway. Looking out across the messy garage, you realize why you were more able to keep your chin up in this corner than if you’d been camped out on the hood of the old caddy - the place was pure chaos. Like a grenade went off in here, you think, frowning.
It was Wrench’s garage after all. Maybe a grenade had gone off at some point.
Fuck it… you think, twisting back towards your computer screen with a loud, metal screech. You don’t startle, just wheeze at the animated sight before you - spikes, leather and mischief. There, sitting cross-legged on the desk is Wrench; emotes of double carets staring at you and one of those party crackers in his hands.
Please… no….
“Congratulations!” He exclaims, pushing on the plunger, showering you in confetti and cheap paper streamers. For a second, emotion flickers in your chest, but it’s definitely not the type meant to be in response to party favors. In a deep, mocking announcer voice, he continues, “What has she won Jimmy?! What’s that? Is it - it’s a neeeewwww… no, it’s not new, but it is handsome if not a little rough around the edges.”
Wrench gives you a tilde-caret wink as the last of the party fodder drifts down around you. Your heart flutters just enough to tell you you’re not completely dead inside, but your lips just don’t care to twitch, let alone smile. Poised there, on your desk, Wrench leans forward as if waiting for the laughter you must surely be about to rip.
With a heavy breath, you blink and part your lips, demanding, “What?”
Even to you, the question sounds dead. Not even your prescribed medication, meant for moments like this, have helped any. If Wrench wants some attention, then he’s better off finding it anywhere but here. You’ll only disappoint him and that, you’ve come to realize, is not something you want to do. Wrench won’t help, just like the pills haven’t helped and if anything, his little attempt at cheering you up just annoys you.
In all honesty, these past few days of feeling empty nearly allows you some perverse enjoyment in being frustrated by him. It’s something at least, though it sucks about as much as that raw, hungry sensation in your core.
Wrench clears his throat, double carets flattening out into underscores before he - inelegantly - reaches forward to sweep the confetti and crap off your blanket-covered shoulders. You side-eye his hand, watching the bones and veins flutter underneath his incognito dude tattoo.
“Well, I’ve done all I can. Time to take you out to pasture,” he tells you, voice chipper but hesitant as he flicks a bit of paper off the top of your head. Double x’s pop up and with a short huff of laughter, he kicks a foot up on the edge of the desk, throwing an arm over his knee before finishing with, “I bought a dozen donuts as a backup plan, you know… in case I had to raise this situation to a DEFCON two.”
As if to clarify he adds, “I’m not going to put you down… just FYI.”
Most of that passes through one ear and out the other. A voice in the back of your head whispers that whatever Wrench is doing is meant to make you feel better, but it’s not worth it. You sigh, billow out your blanket of shiny crap, rearrange it over your forehead and huddle back into code-compiling mode.
Left without a response Wrench twitches, shifting on the desk; legs collapsing over the edge. His ankles swing back and forth. He hums off-key, eventually whistling something that sounds like ‘It’s a Small World’  until you send a pointed glare his way.
Instead of leaving you alone to wallow in misery, his mask blinks double carets, “I know what you need!”
In a short second - so fast the computer screen shakes - he’s off the desk and darting away like a fucking felon, but he’s gone and that deflated part of you that was trying to be social sighs in relief, settling back into a dark pit; making itself scarce once again. Some part of you appreciates the effort, but a greater part of you doesn’t care at all about Wrench trying to ‘cheer’ you up.
He comes back five minutes later with a cardboard box in his hands. You watch with half-lidded eyes as he crawls up over the desk, knocking over a speaker.
“Oo, sorry,” Wrench mumbles, sounding… a little cute, but mostly you exhale, realizing he doesn’t sound like much of anything. He leaves black scuff marks as he skids up, standing on the desk with only a slight wobble. Your fingers pause, hovering over the shift key as he steps over the screen, legs spread with one foot on either side of the keyboard. Gently, Wrench lowers the cardboard box over the monitor with double zero’s and x’s flipping back and forth over his mask.
You blink slowly, watching him crouch behind the monitor, knees on either side of the cardboard box that happily reads, ‘SuNshiNE & PiZZa.’
“My treat, but if we don’t get pineapple on half, I’ll leave your ass at the Pier.”
It takes a lot of effort, but you manage a weak, “…not hungry.”
If you were capable of feeling any worse, you’d feel shitty for the dejected way Wrench plucks his custom made monitor cover off the screen, shuffles his way off your desk and accidentally kicks over the speaker for a second time, before hopping out of sight.
Two more times he shows up - once with a dirty apron on, holding a car jack like a dog while spouting off hammed up lines from ‘Silence of the Lambs.’ The second attempt at cheering you up ends with fire. You’re not sure how he manages to set the cement floor on fire, but it’s only sorta, not really amusing to watch him out the corner of your eye as he stomps out flames with ‘Come Sail Away’ on full blast behind him.
After the smell of burning rubber fades away and the garage is silent once again, you decide it’s safe to say Wrench has finally given up.
For ten solid minutes, you’re left alone… or maybe the time on the computer is off, and it’s been four hours. It feels like it’s been forever when the reassuring keys under your fingers rip away - someone is dragging you by the back of your chair. The computer screen grows smaller and smaller and stagnant air ripples the edges of your safety blanket. Without reason, a blush rushes into your cheeks as Wrench’s mask slips close against the back of your neck. You can hear his static-laced breath beyond the thick blanket as he drags you and your chair across the garage.
Fingers white on the armrest and knees tucked up; you hold on with muted surprise as Wrench spins you around. Your world swirls like a bad drunken night for a few seconds before he halts your chair; your body jerking at the sudden stop.
Laid out in front of you is his table saw, cleared of all the metal dust and plastic chips. For a moment it almost looks like he’s scrubbed it down, but you blink at the telltale smudge of oil and feel your eyebrows pinch.
“Voila! Welcome to Casa de Wrench,” the forced French accent doesn’t work when filtered through his mask. He sounds like if HAL and Mario had a baby… wait Mario was Italian… ugh, you can feel your brain literally sigh as a tattooed hand, sporting rubber black bracelets, starts waving across the ‘spread.’
“We’ve got these round things with sugar. These - these are… also round, but! - these are fitted with the choicest of dulce and sprinkles. Just imagine the poor unicorn that had to cry those things out for you.”
It’s nice - it really is but-
“I also got you a black coffee with two sugars and a shot of battery acid,” he rants off, so quick and… awkward that it actually throws you for a loop. With a curious expression, you peer up at him past the drape of the simple checker-print blanket and find him looking down at you with running ellipsis.
Say something; you’re more apt mind whispers.
With a frown, you look back at the mess of donuts - most of them crushed as if Wrench had accidentally sat on the box at some point - and the extra large paper cup of coffee.
There’s a little plastic seal sitting off to the side… you note that it’s been placed further away as if Wrench hadn’t wanted to make the little extra addition as obvious as the donuts and coffee.
Coffee and donuts were easy to pass off as a friend looking out for another friend, but a little trinket like that? With a careful hand, you reach out, crossing the spectacle of sugar and caffeine to pluck up the plastic seal. It’s cheap - one of the gimmicky things those t-shirt vendors by the waterfronts sell to tourists, but… it tickles your chest; makes you feel just a little bit lighter, and while you can just barely hear Wrench mumble excuses for the gift, your lips twitch upwards.
Beside you, Wrench goes quiet.
For the first time today, you slip the weight of your blanket off your head and smile. The gesture doesn’t even feel forced - it doesn’t hurt to make, and the soft sound of Wrench’s exhale only makes the faint smile curl further. There’s still a pit in your stomach - a heaviness weighing you down, but it doesn’t feel as dark. Even the world seems a little less gray and pallid.
When you turn towards him, he’s leaning back with two thumbs up, swaying them to and fro in a silent question. Better or worse?
“…better,” you whisper, eyes crinkling with a little wave of contentment.
Your weak response literally causes Wrench to jump for joy, arms in the air, releasing a loud ‘whoop’ of noise.
“Fucking awesome!” he shouts, turning at the waist just to throw a finger at Josh across the garage, who’s staring blankly at the two of you, “Fucking told you I had the magic touch.”
“I,” Wrench inhales dramatically, “am The Whisperer.”
“Usually that term is meant to follow a noun, also acting as an adjective-” Josh interjects.
Beside you, Wrench’s mask drops into underscores, followed by inward arrows of frustration, “Oh my god, shut’the’fuck’up. It’s an overall term.”
To demonstrate said ‘overall’ term, Wrench caresses the air into a circle, spiked shoulders hunched forward. It’s serious and yet not - much like Wrench’s personality is. He’s always full of piss and vinegar - rainbows and dynamite. It’s infectious.
An amused sound trickles into your ears as Wrench mimes his ‘overall term’ while Josh grimaces. It isn’t until Wrench is looking at you with question marks and Josh is staring wide-eyed that you realized you’d laughed. Giggles bubble up under your oversized hoodie, and they only rise into fits of laughter as Wrench’s fist pumps the air, whispering about how majestic he is.
By the time your throat is raw - breathless with laughter - it feels like all that black tar settled in your gut is gone. You shift in your chair, smiling, feeling ten times lighter with the little toy seal gripped in your hands. Colors come back - the world brimming with crisp edges and glitter. The tuned down thrashcore in the corner filters into your ears and as if on cue, your stomach grumbles.
When was the last time you’d eaten? Yesterday morning, maybe.
Only slightly oblivious to Wrench watching you eat - hiding the heart emotes under his hoodie - you take a sip of perfect, hot coffee and ready your tongue for a round hollow disk of deliciousness.
Wrench, you decide, is a fucking national treasure.

FOM BLOG: GILLINGHAM 1 - 1 MILLWALL
My Thoughts On Gillingham V Millwall……………………….
I Left My House at 12.50PM in the afternoon and I made sure I had the following things on me,,,,,,,, (Money, Keys, My Gillingham Season Ticket, My Samsung Galaxy S2, Spare Battery, My Gillingham Jacket, Spare Lids, My Gillingham Scarf, My Gillingham Bag, A Packet Of Polo’s, Pad and Pens, Stephen’s Charlton Athletic Ticket and a 500ML Bottle Of Coca Cola) - and I made sure I had everything on me before making the fifteen / twenty minute walk from my house to Rainham Train Station, and once I arrived at Rainham Train Station at 13.10PM, I brought My Return Train Ticket To Gillingham for £3.90, just before leaving My House, I had posted the following status updates on Facebook And Twitter,,,, On My Way To Priestfield Stadium as Gillingham take on Millwall, hopefully, Gillingham can pick up all three points today, we have to, COME ON THE GILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got on The 13.15PM Train, and I got A Message From Stephen, and Stephen mentioned that he is getting a later train and he will be looking to get to the ground around 1.45PM, While I was on the train, I checked for any responses and notifications on Facebook and Twitter and I had also posted how I think Gillingham will line up against Millwall, I also saw A Few West Ham United Supporters on the train as West Ham United are at home to Swansea City this afternoon, and one thing I have noticed with West Ham United Home Matches, Is that Gillingham’s Home Attendances have taken a dip whenever Gillingham and West Ham United are at home at the same-time.
I arrived in Gillingham at 13.20PM, and one thing I couldn’t help but notice, was the number of Police Officers I saw around Gillingham High Street and Gillingham Train Station, There was at least Five Police Vans and Thirty Police Officers around Gillingham Town Centre, now I normally stay behind after the game waiting for the crowd to disperse, but I think I will stay behind longer then usual just to make absolutely sure, and as I made my way to Priestfield Stadium, I saw more Police Officers out-side Sainsbury’s and you can tell that Kent Police are expecting something to happen out-side the ground this afternoon, and here is a link to The Kent Online Article speaking about additional Police Officers for The Gillingham V Millwall Game - http://www.kentonline.co.uk/medway/sport/extra-police-for-lions-visit-123558/ - It is regrettable yet understandable why so many police officers are needed for this match, and I had posted on Gills Debate to anyone going to the game that I hoped that everyone going to The Gillingham V Millwall Match will arrive and depart from Priestfield Stadium safely.
As I made my way towards Priestfield Stadium, two supporters asked me for any recommendations for places to go for a drink, I recommended The Cricketers, and I mentioned that if you walk past Priestfield Stadium to the very end of the road and walk straight up, then you can get to The Cricketers in five / ten minutes, and there is also The Factory as well, I am sure that both The Cricketers and The Factory will be packed, and there will be plenty of supporters going to the pub to get something to drink before the game.
I also spoke to Malcolm Steadman briefly, welcoming him back to the club as our kit-man before I caught up with Peter, Sharon and Diane, and we spoke about The MK Dons Match The Previous Saturday and just how devastated we were when MK Dons scored that late winner, just a minute after Josh Wright’s equaliser saw the away end exploded in celebration, because everyone was jumping up and down and celebrating what would have been a decent 2-2 draw, considering that Gillingham were 2-0 against MK Dons at half time, and Gillingham were rubbish in The First Half at Stadium MK, but it was such a dreadful goal to concede for the winner and that’s now two late goals that Gillingham have conceded, and those two additional points could well make the difference come the end of the season.
Diane had asked me about our travel plans for Charlton Athletic Away, What we will most likely do is meet up at Rainham Train Station and the three of us will travel from Rainham and we still need to arrange a time that we are going to leave to get to Charlton Athletic, I mentioned that we should get to the ground early enough to get food and drink and we want to make sure that whoever travels with us doesn’t mind leaving early to get to the ground, and then leave late so we can see the players post match, you need three for A Group Save Ticket, So Me, Diane and Stephen going together makes A Group Save Train Ticket Possible, and also more affordable, I can see several supporters traveling to Charlton Athletic via train and I think that Peter and Sharon will be going to The Valley as well, Stephen has been looking forward to this match ever since Charlton Athletic appeared on the fixtures list.
I decided to go inside The Club Shop to Buy One Match-Day Programme for £3 before I queued up at The Ticket Office, only tickets for The Millwall Home Game were being sold, so I will probably be able to buy My Northampton Town Ticket when we play Bristol Rovers in our next home league match at Priestfield Stadium, I queued up and asked Julie if there was a way that I can sort out some of the technical problems I was having on Gills Player, Julie Told Me That I would need to ring up The Sales Department On Monday to try and fix any problems I was having With Gills Player, I am not sure what has happened to it and why I cannot re-new, and this is so annoying, as I haven’t had problems renewing in the past, maybe there is a glitch on the website that needs to be repaired, I will hopefully find out precisely what has happened on Monday.
I met up with Peter, Sharon and Diane outside the ground after exiting The Ticket Office, And Diane mentioned that there are some Millwall Supporters who are ashamed of elements of there own support, like The Lady Me and Diane spoke to before Millwall V Gillingham In The Football League Trophy, because of Millwall’s Well Documented Problems With Hooliganism and Crowd Trouble, this seems to attract several Trouble Makers like moths to a flame, the club have obviously tried very hard to move on from those dark days, but I remember A Conversation Me and Stephen had last season, It seems that Millwall play up to The “No-One Likes Us” Mantra, Millwall chant that chant every game, I also think the club play up to this mantra at times, and more needs to be done to condone actions from “some of there supporters” especially if the club are making giant strides forward to move away from a mob mentality.
But The Additional Police Presence is always going to be here for Gillingham V Millwall, and it is important to mention that some of our own supporters have caused trouble in previous Gillingham V Millwall Fixtures, there has been a very strict ticketing policy from the club for this game, Stephen mentioned to me on Facebook that he had problems buying his ticket for Millwall, and the club at least have learned from the lessons of last season, as we only gave Millwall 1200 tickets in The Brian Moore Stand, and Millwall had Supporters in all three home ends and that caused problems, this time, Millwall have been given the entire Brian Moore Stand, and they might have the end block in The Gordon Road Stand as well.
Peter And Sharon decided to go inside, while Diane decided to head round with Alan and Irene to there seats in The Gordon Road Stand, I also spoke with Lisa and Gary briefly and Lisa is also traveling to Charlton Athletic via train, it seems that everyone I know will be going via train, for me, traveling from Rainham to Charlton Athletic is roughly A Thirty Five / Forty Minute Train Journey, as Charlton Train Station is right next to The Valley, it is also much cheaper if you were to get A Group Save Ticket, and I think that is precisely what everyone is going to do as well.
Stephen finally caught up with me, and Stephen gave Me £23 for his Charlton Athletic Ticket, I mentioned that even though The Ticket say’s Row B, We can move somewhere else if we want, chances are Charlton Athletic Away will be reserved seating, but I just cannot see how Reserved Seating is going to work with what should be a 3,000 away allocation, because I am sure that Gillingham will fill up the entire away allocation at Charlton Athletic, because it is so easy to get to Charlton Athletic, this is our closest away game and I can see so many supporters traveling to this match, as it is essentially a home game, and for some of our supporters, it is actually closer to get to Charlton Athletic, then it is to get to Priestfield Stadium.
And When you look at our latest home fixture against Millwall, where Millwall will bring over 2,000 supporters to Priestfield Stadium, Gillingham taking potentially 3,000 Supporters to Charlton Athletic, and with local matches against Southend United and AFC Wimbledon, then you want to be playing in these matches next season, and that is why it is so essential to avoid relegation into League Two, you also have got the likes of Oxford United, MK Dons and Peterborough United who should bring a decent sized support to Priestfield Stadium, Portsmouth are in contention to secure promotion into League One this season, and Nottingham Forest are still involved in A Relegation Battle in The Championship as well, I cannot remember a time where Millwall, Charlton Athletic, Gillingham and Southend United were in the same division, and if we can do enough in our remaining league matches, then Gillingham could playing in these type of matches again next season, that is what Adrian Pennock needs to be telling his players in his pre-match team talk, If we want these type of matches next season, then Gillingham need to start picking up points now.
Eventually, We Saw Gillingham’s Team News On Twitter, and Gillingham Lined Up As Follows,,,,,, Tomas Holy, Max Ehmer, Zesh Rehman, Adedeji Oshilaja, Ryan Jackson, Mark Byrne, Josh Wright, Lee Martin, Harry Cornick, Cody McDonald, Joe Quigley SUBS: Stuart Nelson (GK), Emmanuel Osadebe, Jake Hessenthaler, Ollie Muldoon, Elliott List, Rory Donnelly and Josh Parker - I am surprised that Tomas Holy has started after his costly error against MK Dons The Previous Saturday, Most Gillingham Supporters I have spoken to had the opinion that Stuart Nelson should be starting because we need A Goalkeeper who has been there, seen it, and done it, especially as Stuart Nelson has been involved in A League One Relegation Battle with Gillingham, One Player who should be in the squad is Noel Mbo, who played for Gillingham’s Youth Team and Noel Mbo posted A Tweet On Twitter confirming that he had played for Gillingham’s Youth Team, so we knew Mbo won’t be in the squad, but it is time for Noel Mbo to be given a chance.
Martin met up with Me and Stephen, and he didn’t like the fact that Tomas Holy was starting either, he also had the opinion that Jake Hessenthaler should be starting, but at least Joe Quigley is starting alongside Cody McDonald in attack, I also thought that Josh Parker would start in Harry Cornick’s place, because we need goals, we need to start winning games and picking up points, I just hope that Adedeji Oshilaja isn’t playing at Left Back, like he was against MK Dons the previous weekend, while I do think we need to find another way of playing formation wise, I think we’re lining up with three centre back’s because Millwall are such a threat in attack.
Me, Martin and Stephen were talking about Mahlon Romeo who is playing for Millwall and how we should have never let him go, and now Mahlon Romeo is being linked with a move to West Ham United, same with Brennan Dickenson at Colchester United, who is being linked with A Move to Ipswich Town, and Leon Legge was voted as Cambridge United’s Player Of The Season the season after we let him go, Justin Edinburgh cannot build A Defence, he inherited perhaps one of our best ever defenders in recent times in John Egan, Adam El-Abd turned out to be a great signing but why didn’t we try and sign him permanently, We replaced Brennan Dickenson with Paul Konchesky and that hasn’t worked out as well as we hoped, there has been no Right Back Cover and while Finn O’Mara can play at Right Back, he looks more comfortable at Centre Back, The Defence needs a serious over-haul in the summer, Seventy One Goals against is proof of this.
Martin decided to head off inside the ground while Me and Stephen waited for Gary, and I spoke to Stephen about The Last Waltz’s Blog Interview With Danny Jackman LINK IS HERE: https://twitter.com/TheGillsBlog/status/850063108966100997 - And Danny Jackman could well be in The Away End with us at Northampton Town On The Final Day Of The Season, I mentioned to Stephen that this was a brilliant interview and well worth listening to, as Stephen has missed out on some Gills News over the past week, so I am sure he want to catch up on the news that he has missed out on.
We spoke about potential managerial candidates, and apparently Steve Cotterill turned down Shrewsbury Town and considering that Steve Cotterill lives in The South West this is surprising, I suppose he is waiting for A Better Job Offer to come along, Chris Powell has managed Charlton Athletic and guided them to promotion into The Championship and he would be another manager worth looking at, but the fact that Kenny Jackett was seriously considering The Barnet Job suggests that Kenny Jackett lives in London and having done so well with Swansea City, Wolves and Millwall previously, then I am sure that Kenny Jackett would be interested in The Gillingham Job, Kenny Jackett is Diane’s First Choice as well because of his experience and he would be a fantastic appointment, I am sure that Kenny Jackett may well be in The Director’s Box for this match as he is A Former Millwall Manager, and Kenny Jackett will be looking to get back into Football Management again and he is waiting for the right opportunity to come along.
Another Manager I like is Gareth Ainsworth, as he has done A Fantastic Job With Wycombe Wanderers on A Very Limited Shoestring Budget, and we could well have A Look at someone like Alex Neil who was sacked by Norwich City, Stephen mentioned that if we’re going to down The Legends Route, which isn’t A Route Either Of Us want to go for, then we would be much better off appointing Andy Hessenthaler As Manager, at least he has Experience As A Football League Manager with Gillingham and has the passion for the club, Adrian Pennock has no Experience and we shouldn’t have appointed him in the first place, I just hope that Adrian Pennock can keep Gillingham up and we start looking for A New Manager in the summer.
This is harsh on Adrian Pennock in someways, because this isn’t his squad, the playing budget was all used up and there is No Emergency Loan System to take advantage off this season, however, There Have Been Clubs who have made Managerial Changes and there has been an improvement in there results and performances, and we’re not seeing that improvement under Adrian Pennock, It was unfortunate timing that Paul Scally was recovering from illness at the time and clearly we didn’t want to go through the entire managerial process in the middle of the season while The January Transfer Window Was Open, But someone else could have been given the job until the end of the season and we could have Interviewed A Number Of Managerial Candidates and Appointed Them As Manager During The Off Season.
It was gone 2PM and we hadn’t seen Gary, so he must have arrived really early, or he gets to the ground with minutes to spare before kick off, Stephen added that this happened in our previous match against Millwall, where we didn’t see Gary pre-match, I am sure that Gary will be at the ground for this match, In The NoirCat Prediction League, I had A Draw and Diane Had A Defeat and I was hoping that we are both wrong and Gillingham pick up all three points, we’re into the closing stages of the season and Promotion And Relegation Spots should start to take shape, and we will see who will be Promoted, and who will be relegated at the end of the season, Me, Stephen, Gary, Diane and Nicholas are all in Promotion Contention in our respective divisions, I know that Stephen wants to get back into The Premier Division at the first time of asking.
Stephen decided to head towards his seat in Block B In The Medway Stand and we were going to meet up again after the game, Hopefully Celebrating A Hard Fought Gillingham Win, I got My Season Ticket Out and I entered The Family Enclosure Entrance of The Medway Stand, and After My Gillingham Bag was searched, I went through the turnstiles, brought one fifty / fifty match day lottery ticket and headed toward My Seat, Millwall had completely sold out the away end in The Brian Moore Stand, While there were a few gaps in The Gordon Road Stand and The Rainham End, With West Ham United at home and the complications over buying tickets for Millwall At Home, this explains why the ground isn’t as packed as we thought it should be, Gillingham’s League Position also is another reason why we’re not getting the attendance we should be getting for Millwall At Home.
I know it is difficult to judge A Attendance before the game kicks off, as some people might arrive just before kick off, or miss the first few minutes of the match, but there were a few empty seats around me and I think many Supporters just cannot wait for this season to end, which is a disappointing thing to say, but that sums up our frustrations with The 2016 / 2017 Season, because it has been A Frustrating Season For Gillingham Football Club, and hopefully, Gillingham can do enough to retain our League One Status and do plenty of hard graft over the summer to make sure that we’re prepared for The 2017 / 2018 season, and our squad is much stronger to make sure we’re not in this situation again next season, assuming that we do enough to stay up this season of course.
I Saw Martin and Colin pre-match, and we weren’t confidant, if we can get something out of this match then that would be a bonus, it is the last two matches against Peterborough United and MK Dons where Gillingham should have picked up points, even two draws from those two matches would have put Gillingham in A Much Better Position, We are also going to miss Bradley Dack for the next two matches, both home games against Millwall and Bristol Rovers, Home Matches that Gillingham really need to pick up points from, thankfully, The Results In Mid-Week went our way and that’s how I see Gillingham avoiding relegation now, if results go our way, rather then avoiding relegation through our own achievements, which is a such a disappointing comment to make, but Gillingham are on a downhill spiral at the moment, and we need to start winning games, draws are better then nothing, but it is wins Gillingham need as soon as possible.
Martin and Colin went over to there seats close to The Dugout, while I went to my seat, I sent the following tweet before kick off - Gillingham V Millwall - Fingers Crossed For Three Points Today - COME ON THE GILLS!!!!!!!!!! - And just as I finished sending that tweet, Both Teams Came Out Of The Tunnel ready for kick off, and the atmosphere raised in volume inside Priestfield Stadium on a warm April Afternoon, both teams lined up in-front of The Medway Stand and we were ready for kick off, and our players had one final warm up in-front of The Rainham End, While Adrian Pennock applauded The Gillingham Supporters, Referee Charles Breakspear didn’t switch ends, meaning that Gillingham and Millwall will be kicking towards the ends where there own supporters are situated In The Second Half, Gillingham will kick towards The Rainham End, and Millwall will be kicking towards The Brian Moore Stand.
This is one match where A Team Talk just isn’t necessary, But we cannot be too passionate and too up for the game, otherwise we might get another sending off, play the game and not the occasion is usually a phrase used by most manager’s, and hopefully, Gillingham do enough over the next ninety minutes to pick up all three points, regardless of how well or how poorly we play, SO COME ON THE GILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FIRST HALF:
And Millwall could and perhaps should have opened the scoring in the opening minute of the match, Millwall Goalkeeper Tom King has possession of the ball for Millwall, and Tom King kicks the ball long down-field and Adedeji Oshilaja wins the aerial challenge to header the ball partially clear and away from danger and Mahlon Romeo headers the ball clear and Mahlon Romeo’s header is more up and under and Adedeji Oshilaha wins the aerial challenge up against Steve Morison, Harry Cornick mis-kicks the ball and Ben Thompson manages to get to the loose ball first, but Ben Thompson’s pass back to Mahlon Romeo is poor, and Harry Cornick redeems himself by intercepting the ball and Harry Cornick had managed to pass the ball forward to Joe Quigley, who takes a touch to control the ball and play the ball back to Lee Martin, who tries to play the ball through to Harry Cornick on the over-lap, but Lee Martin’s threaded through-ball takes a slight deflection off Joe Quigley, and the ball rolls through to Byron Webster.
And it is from here where Millwall create the first goal-scoring opportunity of the game, as Byron Webster plays the ball short to Shaun Williams, who boots the ball long down-field and Steve Morison cushions his header back to David Worrall - and myself and many other Gillingham Supporters thought that Steve Morison was standing in A Offside Position - but play continued as David Worrall ran forwards in possession of the ball, and David Worrall continue’s his run right to the edge of Gillingham’s Penalty Area before playing the ball out-wide to Steve Morison down the right side of the pitch - Gillingham’s Left - and Steve Morison has driven in a dangerous low cross which has managed to pick out Aiden O’Brien, and Aiden O’Brien doesn’t make the strongest of connections on the ball and cannot direct his effort towards goal, and Tomas Holy prevents the ball from going out of play for A Gillingham Goal-Kick.
Two Minutes Into The Match, and Excellent Defending From Max Ehmer prevents Aiden O’Brien from getting in and behind Gillingham’s Defence, however, that clearance from Max Ehmer has seen The Visitor’s Win The First Corner Kick Of The Match, And From The Resulting Corner Kick, David Worrall has whipped in an dangerous in-swinging cross, and Joe Martin has headed the ball over Gillingham’s Crossbar and Millwall have created another chance where they could have tested Tomas Holy between the sticks, Looking at the way Millwall have started this match, this is going to be a very long afternoon for Gillingham.
And From The Resulting Goal-Kick, Gillingham Manage to win themselves there first Free Kick Of The Match After Four Minutes, as Tomas Holy has booted the ball long down-field and Joe Quigley has managed to get himself between the ball and Shaun Hutchinson, and Joe Quigley has managed to retain possession of the ball, and The Millwall Centre Back has been penalised for shirt pulling, and from the resulting free kick, Gillingham are quick to get the ball moving as Lee Martin plays the ball out-wide to Harry Cornick, who manages to get to the byline and Harry Cornick see’s his cross blocked by Joe Martin, and Gillingham have won themselves there first corner kick of the match - Very Clever From Gillingham to take that free kick so quickly.
Unfortunately, From the Resulting Corner Kick, Lee Martin’s In-Swinging Cross doesn’t beat the first man - which was Steve Morison - and Millwall manage to clear there lines, it is so infuriating when that happens, because it is a complete waste of A Set Play Opportunity, But The Chance Was Still There For The Gills as Gillingham Have A Throw On In Millwall’s Final Third, And Ryan Jackson has hurled in an dangerous long throw into the heart of Millwall’s Penalty Area and Max Ehmer has flicked the ball on and Referee Charles Breakspear - who replaces Keith Stroud For This Match - has blown his whistle for A Millwall Free Kick, and we weren’t sure why A Free Kick has been given for Millwall, the lack of complaints about the decision from our players suggests that The Free Kick was the correct decision.
Six Minutes Into The Match, and Mark Byrne does really well to win A Free Kick For Gillingham as Aiden O’Brien is penalised for his challenge on The Gillingham Midfielder, and Lee Martin gets the ball moving again, playing the ball out-wide to Ryan Jackson, who runs down the by-line, keeps the ball in play, and Ryan Jackson kicks the ball against Jed Wallace to win Gillingham there second corner kick off the match, And It Is From This Corner Kick where the big controversial talking point of the game had happened, Gillingham this time go short from the resulting corner kick, with Lee Martin playing the ball short to Mark Byrne, who pretends to whip in a cross and play the ball back to Lee Martin, who gets to the ball first inside Millwall’s Penalty Area and Lee Martin goes to ground under A Challenge From A Millwall Player and I wasn’t sure who made the challenge, and like every other Gillingham Supporter Inside Priestfield Stadium, I was calling for A Gillingham Penalty, but Referee Charles Breakspear didn’t point to The Penalty Spot, Millwall’s Live Feed Suggests that Lee Martin has fallen to the deck very easily, and I wrote down in My Notepad - that could have been A Gills Penalty - It wasn’t clear cut, the appeals were there, and those in Block’s A, B and C in The Medway Stand had no doubts that was A Penalty, but I didn’t have the best of views and there are no highlights of this incident either, so I cannot say one way or another if this was the correct or incorrect decision.
Seven Minutes Into The Match, and Jed Wallace is penalised for his challenge on Mark Byrne, who has been on the end of a few challenges from Millwall Players already, And From The Resulting Free Kick, Lee Martin has whipped in an dangerous in-swinging cross first time and Byron Webster has managed to header the ball clear and away from danger for Millwall and Joe Martin has kicked the ball long down-field, leaving a foot-race between Aiden O’Brien and Ryan Jackson, and Ryan Jackson has managed to get himself between the ball and Aiden O’Brien to shield the ball out of play for A Gillingham Goal-Kick - Good Defending From Ryan Jackson There.
Ten Minutes Into The Match, and Millwall had the chance to open the scoring, Millwall Goalkeeper Tom King kicks the ball long down-field and Ryan Jackson headers the ball clear and Joe Martin wins the aerial challenge up against Harry Cornick and Max Ehmer headers the ball clear before Steve Morison can get to the loose ball and Joe Martin again wins the aerial challenge up against Harry Cornick, but this time, Steve Morison gets in-front of Max Ehmer to cushion his header back to Jed Wallace, who plays the ball first time over the top to Aiden O’Brien, who has the strength to shrug off Zesh Rehman’s challenge and Aiden O’Brien moves into A More Central Position On The Pitch, and Aiden O’Brien was looking to go for goal and we all thought that Adedeji Oshilaja was going to clear the ball away from danger until he completely missed the ball with a air-shot and Aiden O’Brien and Jed Wallace get in each other’s way, and Jed Wallace tee’s up Steve Morison, who looks to place the ball accurately into the far right corner of the net, and Tomas Holy dives to his left at full stretch to not only save the ball, but gather the ball at the first attempt, excellent save from Tomas Holy, and that save will give Tomas Holy A Confidence Booster for sure, but you got to say that Adedeji Oshilaja has got to do much much better there.
In The Same Minute, Josh Wright is harshly penalised for his challenge on Shaun Williams, and Millwall Have A Free Kick In Gillingham’s Half Of The Pitch Down The Right Side, and From The Resulting Free Kick, David Worrall plays the ball short to Ben Thompson, who runs down the right side of the pitch in possession of the ball, And Ben Thompson almost picks out Steve Morison with a brilliant cross towards the back-stick, but Ben Thompson’s cross is slightly over-hit and runs harmlessly out of play for A Gillingham Goal-Kick.
Thirteen Minutes Into The Match, and pressure from Cody McDonald forces Millwall Centre Back Byron Webster to concede A Corner Kick, and Gillingham came close to opening the scoring from the resulting corner kick as Lee Martin whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross and Cody McDonald climbs highest to header the ball wide of Tom King’s Right Hand Post, Cody McDonald scored against MK Dons The Previous Week and he won The Penalty which Josh Wright managed to score from, Gillingham will need Cody McDonald in top form against Millwall if we’re to get at least a point against Millwall, although, we are hoping that Cody McDonald can score the winner for Gillingham, because this is A Match That Gillingham need to win.
A Minute Later, and Millwall are awarded A Free Kick In Gillingham’s Half Down The Right Side Of The Pitch as Lee Martin is penalised for his challenge on Mahlon Romeo, and Millwall had a chance to open the scoring from The Resulting Free Kick as David Worrall whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross towards the far post and Steve Morison chests the ball and brings the ball under his control, and Steve Morison thought that Joe Martin had made an over-lapping run behind him, and because Joe Martin hadn’t made the run, Steve Morison has passed the ball out of play for A Gillingham Goal-Kick - Steve Morison is A Very Good Player and when you look at the players Mark Stimson signed from Stevenage, Barry Fuller, John Nutter, Stuart Lewis, Adam Miller and Alan Julian, Steve Morison is probably the one player we couldn’t quite get over the line, and can you imagine how good Simeon Jackson and Steve Morison could have been as A Strike-Partnership for Gillingham.
Seventeen Minutes Into The Match, and Ryan Jackson has gone on A Brilliant Run Down The Right Side Of The Pitch For Gillingham and Ryan Jackson is being tracked all the way by Jed Wallace, and The Millwall Midfielder is forced to intercept the ball and knock the ball out of play for A Gillingham Corner Kick, and Gillingham have the chance to open the scoring from the resulting corner kick, however, before the corner kick can be taken, there is a lengthy delay and I wasn’t sure why there was a delay at the time, but I did find out later on that Lee Martin had coins and other objects thrown at him from The Millwall Supporters In The Away End, and if that turns out to be the case then I can see there being some punishment going in Millwall’s Direction over the next few weeks, I don’t think there will be A Points Deduction, most likely A Warning For Future Conduct or maybe even A Fine.
Eventually, The Corner Kick can be taken, and from The Resulting Corner Kick,  Lee Martin plays the ball short to Mark Byrne, who whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross into the heart of Millwall’s Penalty Area and No-One In A Gillingham Shirt can get A Telling Connection On The Ball to divert the ball goal-wards, and Millwall Survive this latest scare as the ball runs harmlessly out of play for A Millwall Goal-Kick.
Twenty Minutes Into The Match, and Ben Thompson is penalised for his challenge on Ryan Jackson, who does brilliantly to win A Free Kick For Gillingham, However, A Minute Later, And Lee Martin goes into Referee Charles Breakspear’s book for A Very Late Challenge On David Worrall, and David Worrall had already passed the ball down the line before Lee Martin dived in to make the challenge, no complaints about that Yellow Card, and The Booking was the correct decision in my opinion.
Twenty Three Minutes Into The Match, and Millwall Manage to win themselves another corner kick, Gillingham Have A Throw On In There Own Final Third Down The Left Side Of the Pitch, and Adedeji Oshilaja throws the ball down the line and Mahlon Romeo manages to win the aerial challenge up against Cody McDonald, and Shaun Williams plays the ball first time down-field and Adedeji Oshilaja manages to get to the loose ball first and kick the ball clear and away from Aiden O’Brien, but Ben Thompson kicks the ball high and long down-field and Steve Morison’s First Touch was superb and Zesh Rehman has no other choice but to concede The Corner Kick, And From The Resulting Corner Kick, Millwall almost opened the scoring in spectacular fashion, David Worrall whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross to the far side of Gillingham’s Penalty Area and Shaun Williams spectacular first time volley clears Gillingham’s Crossbar by a few inches and Tomas Holy was at full stretch because he thought that effort from Shaun Williams was on target, and I thought that was in as well.
From The Resulting Goal-Kick, And Gillingham have managed to win themselves A Free Kick In Millwall’s Final Third, as Tomas Holy kicks the ball long down-field, and Joe Quigley manages to get in-front of Joe Martin, who pulls Joe Quigley to the ground and Gillingham have won A Free Kick, and again, Instead of looking for the quick free kick, Lee Martin stands over the ball waiting for Referee Charles Breakspear to signal he can take the free kick, as there was a bit of pushing and pulling going on inside Millwall’s Penalty Area, and Lee Martin has whipped in an dangerous in-swinging cross into the heart of Millwall’s Penalty Area, and Joe Martin is forced to header the ball behind at the expense of A Corner Kick.
Unfortunately, Gillingham waste The Corner Kick Completely as Lee Martin plays the ball short to Mark Byrne, who losses out to Joe Martin, and Joe Martin plays the ball back to Shaun Hutchinson, who plays the ball forward to Jed Wallace, and Jed Wallace boots the ball long down-field and this leaves a foot-race between Max Ehmer and Aiden O’Brien, and Max Ehmer has done enough to shield the ball out of play for A Gillingham Goal-Kick, good defending from Max Ehmer, but Gillingham have wasted a rare goal-scoring opportunity from that corner kick.
A Minute Later, and It Is Ryan Jackson’s Turn to prevent Aiden O’Brien from getting on the end of Jed Wallace’s Long Kick Down-Field, as Ryan Jackson has the pace to make the recovery run and get in-front of Jed Wallace to shield the ball out of play for A Gillingham Goal-Kick, and Millwall continue to pile on the pressure on Gillingham’s Goal, as the visitor’s created a very good goal-scoring opportunity in The Twenty Eighth Minute, Mahlon Romeo has possession of the ball for Millwall and Mahlon Romeo runs from Millwall’s Own Half Of The Pitch into Gillingham’s Final Third and Mahlon Romeo plays the ball out-wide to David Worrall, who takes a touch to control the ball, and David Worrall runs into a more central position on the pitch, and David Worrall whips in an dangerous cross towards the back-stick and Aiden O’Brien wins the aerial challenge up against Ryan Jackson to try and cushion his header back to Jed Wallace, but Zesh Rehman has done enough to stop Jed Wallace from getting a shot off on goal, however, The Millwall Midfielder still has possession of the ball and Zesh Rehman is sticking with Jed Wallace, who was looking for someone to make an over-lapping run, and Jed Wallace takes several touches on the ball before playing the ball back to Joe Martin, who takes a touch to control the ball, and Joe Martin whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross to the far side of Gillingham’s Penalty Area and David Worrall wins the aerial challenge up against Adedeji Oshilaja to header the ball across the face of goal and Aiden O’Brien falls to the floor underneath Max Ehmer’s challenge and the second ball falls kindly to Steve Morison, who slides in and attempts a acrobatic effort which only falls just wide of Tomas Holy’s Left Hand Post.
Despite The Penalty Appeals From Millwall Supporters, I didn’t think that Max Ehmer had fouled Aiden O’Brien, who was slightly looking for it, but what has concerned me is the fact that both Aiden O’Brien and David Worrall are winning aerial challenges at the far post, and Steve Morison came extremely close to opening the scoring with that awkward effort there, Millwall have created the better goal-scoring opportunities and there league position reflects there dominance of play despite the score-line remaining goal-less, I was hoping that this was going to be one of those matches where Millwall don’t take there chances, but Gillingham take the one or two chances that do come our way.
Fouls By Harry Cornick and Josh Wright on Mahlon Romeo and Jed Wallace respectively started to slow the pace of the game down, and despite reaching The Thirty Minute Mark, there was no stoppage in play as it was A Warm Day, and I thought that Referee Charles Breakspear was going to allow for a stoppage in play, Gillingham look like they need a stoppage in play as we’re on the back-foot at this present moment in time.
Thirty Two Minutes Into The Match, and Tomas Holy was required to make another save to preserve parity, Millwall created this goal-scoring opportunity from the back as Byron Webster takes a few touches in possession of the ball before playing the ball out-wide to Mahlon Romeo, who takes a touch to control the ball, and Mahlon Romeo is allowed plenty of time and space to clip the ball down the line and Aiden O’Brien wins the aerial challenge up against Zesh Rehman to cushion his header down towards David Worrall inside Gillingham’s Penalty Area, and David Worrall manages to get to the byline and is being closely observed by Adedeji Oshilaja, and David Worrall manages to turn back on himself and play the ball square to Steve Morison within shooting territory, and Steve Morison’s first time effort towards the far left side of Gillingham’s Goal was on target and Tomas Holy dives at full stretch to not only make the save, but also held on to the ball as well - and I was critical of Tomas Holy’s error for Gillingham against MK Dons the previous week, but I am going to say well done to Tomas Holy here, because his performance between the sticks for Gillingham against Millwall so far has been very good and there has been a better improvement in Tomas Holy’s handling so far.
And this dominance in play from The Visitor’s Continued, Harry Cornick is the latest Gillingham Player to be penalised for his challenge on Ben Thompson and Millwall have been awarded A Free Kick In There Half Of The Pitch, From Here, The Visitor’s came close to breaking the deadlock as David Worrall hits a high and hanging cross towards the back-stick and Byron Webster headers the ball back across the face of goal and there was Zesh Rehman to header the ball partially clear and away from danger, but the second ball drops to Aiden O’Brien, who tee’s himself up to hit a driven effort towards goal which is brilliantly blocked by Max Ehmer, and Mark Byrne clears the loose ball further away from goal - It was desperate defending from Gillingham, and The Gills are defending with A Deep Defensive Line - but the score-line remains goal-less and if Gillingham can go in at the break with the score-line at 0-0 then we would have done very well for ourselves.
Thirty Eight Minutes Into The Match, And A Foul Throw From Mahlon Romeo relieves the pressure building on to Gillingham’s Goal, and In The Fortieth Minute, Gillingham had the chance to break the deadlock, Max Ehmer plays the ball out-wide to Ryan Jackson, who runs forward in possession of the ball before stopping inside Millwall’s Half and squaring the ball to Mark Byrne, who retains possession of the ball before playing the ball through to Joe Quigley, who shrugs off the attempted challenge from Shaun Hutchinson, and Joe Quigley plays the ball out-wide to Ryan Jackson, who whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross first time and Byron Webster only partially headers the ball clear, and Cody McDonald controls the ball first time on the edge of Millwall’s Penalty Area and Cody McDonald’s shot on the turn is blocked by Shaun Hutchinson and the ball loops up into the air, and why Mark Byrne needed to get a touch on the ball when he could have let the ball go out for A Gillingham Corner Kick, I have No Idea.
Forty One Minutes Into The Match, And Zesh Rehman does brilliantly to kick Mahlon Romeo’s Driven Low Cross Out Of Play For A Millwall Corner Kick, and Millwall Create A  Half Chance Opportunity From The Resulting Corner Kick, as David Worrall whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross towards the far post and Byron Webster cannot direct his header on target and the ball runs harmlessly out of play for A Gillingham Goal-Kick, but when you look at the size and physical presence that Millwall have got in there side, Byron Webster, Shaun Hutchinson, Steve Morison, Aiden O’Brien and Shaun Williams, then Millwall are obviously going to be a threat from set plays, Gillingham just don’t have that type of physical presence or experience in there side, and our league position is proof of this.
A Minute Later, And Gillingham have been awarded A Corner Kick and the chance to break the deadlock just before half-time would be the perfect time for Gillingham to score, however, The Resulting In-Swinging Cross From Lee Martin was very poor as Ben Thompson partially clears the ball away from danger, however, Lee Martin does get to the loose ball ahead of Ben Thompson and I wasn’t sure that Gillingham should have been awarded A Free Kick Here, But Referee Charles Breakspear saw enough in that challenge from Ben Thompson to award Gillingham A Free Kick, This Time, The Cross From Lee Martin had a lot more quality on it as Lee Martin whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross into the heart of Millwall’s Penalty Area, and Steve Morison is in the right place at the right time for Millwall to header the ball out of play at the expense of another corner kick.
Lee Martin goes across to take the resulting corner kick for Gillingham, and Lee Martin whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross towards the back-stick and Shaun Williams is in the right place at the right time to header the ball behind at the expense of another corner kick, and Gillingham can try again, And From The Resulting Corner Kick, Lee Martin’s Corner Kick Towards The Far Post Is Over-Hit and looked to be going out of play, and Max Ehmer has done enough to keep the ball in play, and Max Ehmer plays the ball back to Ryan Jackson, who whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross first time and Byron Webster manages to clear the ball partially clear and away from danger, and Ben Thompson gets to the loose ball first but he was fouled by Harry Cornick and Millwall are given A Free Kick In There Own Half.
Harry Cornick was also down taking a breather as he had the wind knocked out of his sails as Ben Thompson had kicked the ball into The Gillingham Midfielder, and Harry Cornick needed a moment or two to get his breath back again, and after Two Additional Minutes Of Added Time, Referee Charles Breakspear blew his whistle for Half Time, and you have got to say that Millwall have been the better of the two sides at Priestfield Stadium, and Gillingham have got to improve and apply more quality in the final third, hopefully, that is something that Adrian Pennock will point out to the players in his Half Time Team Talk.
HALF TIME: GILLINGHAM 0 - 0 MILLWALL
I had sent The Following Tweets On Twitter At Half Time, HALF TIME: GILLINGHAM 0 - 0 MILLWALL - I think if you asked most Gills fans pre-match, we would have taken 0-0 at Half Time - More needs to be done attack wise, But Tomas Holy has made two decent saves in The First Half. - Big Second Half Coming Up, results going against us and Gillingham really can do with three points this afternoon - COME ON THE GILLS
I think if you spoke to mist Gillingham Supporters before kick off, then we would have taken 0-0 at Half Time, Tomas Holy has saved two efforts on goal from Steve Morison and Shaun Williams spectacular first time volley clears Gillingham’s Crossbar by a few inches and Millwall have created the better goal-scoring opportunities, in-fact, Millwall could and perhaps should have opened the scoring within the first minute, as Aiden O’Brien has had a great chance to score, Steve Morison’s acrobatic effort went just wide of Tomas Holy’s Left Hand Post, and Millwall should be in-front based on what we have seen in The First Forty Five Minutes.
Defensively, Gillingham have done what we have had to do, now we have had a bit of luck, but you need that luck against the better teams, Tomas Holy has played very well between the sticks and I was critical of his error against MK Dons and I thought that Stuart Nelson should come back into the side, but well done to Tomas Holy for putting in a very solid performance between the sticks for Gillingham so far, I have mentioned that defensively, Gillingham have done what we have had to do, and that’s because the attack needs to improve, we need to supply the service and support to Joe Quigley and Cody McDonald, we have got to deliver better corner’s, mind you, Millwall have got the height advantage and it is going to take a pin-point accurate corner kick to pick out one of our players, and I also think that Harry Cornick has struggled in The Central Attacking Position, and I would consider swapping Harry Cornick with Lee Martin and bring on Josh Parker, as Lee Martin picked up a booking in The First Half.
Despite The Goal-Less Score-Line, I still had plenty of notes in My NotePad, mentioning chances created, the number of fouls and corner kicks given for and against both teams in this match, the saves that Tomas Holy has made, and of course, the biggest talking point, the penalty that wasn’t given when Lee Martin was fouled in The Seventh Minute, there was plenty of out-cries from Gillingham Supporters demanding for A Penalty Kick at the time, but maybe, those appeals came from the supporters more then they did from the players.
However, there was some bad news with the scores from elsewhere as Oldham Athletic were 1-0 up against Fleetwood Town and Shrewsbury Town were winning against Rochdale, we’re now in a situation we probably knew pre-match, but we now know for sure, Gillingham have got to win and we have got to pick up all three points against Millwall, and hopefully, Gillingham can put in a much better performance in The Second Half and get the goal or goals we will need to go on and win the game - COME ON THE GILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SECOND HALF:
Both Teams came out on to the pitch for the start of The Second Half and neither Adrian Pennock or Neil Harris made any half time substitutions, With Both Manager’s content to go with the teams they selected at the start of the match, If Gillingham need to go for it late on, then Elliott List, Rory Donnelly and Josh Parker all provide Adrian Pennock with various attacking options that we can call upon, it may well be that all three players will come on if Gillingham need A Substitute or Two to come on and make an impact from the bench.
And It Is Gillingham who are looking to make the breakthrough after the re-start, as Harry Cornick does enough to win Gillingham A Corner Kick by kicking the ball against Joe Martin, and the noise raises in volume around the ground, Lee Martin goes across to take the resulting corner kick for Gillingham, and Lee Martin has whipped in an dangerous in-swinging cross into the heart of Millwall’s Penalty Area, but with there additional height and experience, it is going to be difficult for Gillingham to win anything in the air and Byron Webster headed the ball clear and away from danger for Millwall, And Looking at players like Byron Webster for example, he is the type of Centre Back Gillingham need to be signing in the summer, Thirty Year Old Centre Back with plenty of experience and also plenty of years ahead of them as well, but these players cost decent money, but there players that Gillingham are clearly lacking at this present moment in time.
Forty Nine Minutes Into The Match, and this match goes from end to end as both teams look to make the breakthrough early on in The Second Half, It Is Millwall who are looking to strike first however as Jed Wallace looks to pick out Aiden O’Brien with A Early Cross, but Tomas Holy is well positioned and quick to anticipate the path of the ball and make the catch before Aiden O’Brien can get to the ball first, and from here, Gillingham look to turn defence into attack as Tomas Holy rolls the ball out to Max Ehmer, who passes the ball forward to Mark Byrne, who plays the ball out-wide to Ryan Jackson, Ryan Jackson plays the ball back to Mark Byrne, who passes the ball forward to Cody McDonald, and Cody McDonald shrugs off the challenge from Shaun Hutchinson before playing the ball out-wide to Ryan Jackson, who whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross towards the far post to try and pick out Joe Quigley, however, Ryan Jackson’s cross is over-hit and runs harmlessly out of play for A Millwall Goal-Kick.
Fifty One Minutes Into The Match, and It Is Millwall who are looking to break the deadlock in this latest attack, Ben Thompson plays the ball from right to left to Jed Wallace, who brings the ball down brilliantly with his first touch, and Jed Wallace is one on one with Ryan Jackson, and Jed Wallace checks the ball back to Joe Martin, who has whipped in an sensational cross towards the far post and Steve Morison has headed the ball back across the face of goal to try and pick out the top left corner, and Steve Morison’s Header only just about clears Tomas Holy’s Crossbar - by a few inches - Steve Morison is A Quality Player, he has been involved in most of Millwall’s Goal-Scoring Opportunities and he not only knows where the goal is, but Steve Morison’s intelligence to bring others into play is top draw as well.
And Millwall’s Dominance In Play Continued A Minute Later as Millwall created another decent goal-scoring opportunity in The Fifty Second Minute, Gillingham Have A Throw On In There Own Final Third, Down The Left Side Of The Pitch, and Adedeji Oshilaja throws the ball down the line and Joe Quigley cannot flick the ball on and the ball ricochets off Ben Thompson and David Worrall boots the ball high up into the air, and Steve Morison manages to get in-front of Zesh Rehman and chests the ball down into Aidan O’Brien’s Path, Aiden O’Brien squares the ball to Jed Wallace in A More Central Position Roughly Twenty Five Yards Out From Goal, and Jed Wallace waits for support before passing the ball out-wide to Joe Martin on the left flank, and Joe Martin takes a touch to control the ball before playing the ball back to Shaun Williams, and Shaun Williams plays the ball forward to Jed Wallace who plays the ball back inside first time to Shaun Williams, who is now bearing down on Gillingham’s Goal and Harry Cornick manages to intercept the ball and Max Ehmer looks to clear the ball away from danger.
However, Max Ehmer’s clearance falls kindly to Ben Thompson, who controls the ball first time, evades Josh Wright’s Attempted Challenge and Harry Cornick cannot quite get the ball clear and away from danger as Joe Martin boots the ball high up into the air, and Aiden O’Brien manages to keep the ball in play and The Millwall Striker is forced to run wide with the ball, but Aiden O’Brien manages to dink the ball through to Jed Wallace with A Fantastic Pass, and Jed Wallace looks to fire the ball across the face of goal, but there was Josh Wright to make the block to concede the corner, and Millwall Supporters in The Brian Moore Stand were raising the volume inside Priestfield Stadium, and it was The Visitor’s who were putting in the better performance, as you have got to say that Gillingham are struggling at this present moment in time.
And Millwall came even closer to opening the scoring from the resulting corner kick as well, as David Worrall whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross and Tomas Holy does brilliantly to come off his goal-line and get two strong fists to punch the ball clear and away from goal, and Jed Wallace plays the ball back to Ben Thompson, who scoops the ball back into Jed Wallace’s path, and Jed Wallace takes a touch to control the ball before losing out to Mark Byrne, and Jed Wallace just gets a touch on the ball to play the ball back to Ben Thompson, and Ben Thompson runs forward in possession of the ball, and Ben Thompson runs into a more central position and evades the challenge from Mark Byrne and Ben Thompson drags his shot wide of Tomas Holy’s Left Hand Post - Another Chance spurned by the visitor’s - maybe this will be one of those games where Millwall create ten chances and don’t take them, Gillingham will get one chance and will score one goal.
And From The Resulting Goal-Kick, Millwall almost scored again as Tomas Holy kicks the ball long down-field and Byron Webster has headed the ball over the top of Gillingham’s Defence, and Aiden O’Brien is almost on to this loose ball and Tomas Holy only just about gets there first and dives on to the loose ball, after that, both teams are treating the football like a hot potato, especially Gillingham, although understandable, as we don’t want to over-play the ball at the back and make a error that leads to a goal.
Fifty Seven Minutes Into The Match, and Harry Cornick tries his luck from distance with a speculative volley which is high and wide and doesn’t test Millwall Goalkeeper Tom King in-between the stick’s, However, In The Fifty Eight Minute, David Worrall is forced to concede A Corner Kick right in-front of The Rainham End and Gillingham have the chance to open the scoring from the resulting corner kick, and Lee Martin has whipped in an dangerous in-swinging cross right into the heart of Millwall’s Penalty Area and Cody McDonald cannot direct his header on target, as Cody McDonald headers the ball just wide of the near post - That was the chance for Gillingham to open the scoring - And set plays do appear to be the best chance that Gillingham have got to get themselves on the score-sheet, because The Gills haven’t done enough in open play to supply goal-scoring opportunities for Cody McDonald or Joe Quigley to get on the end of.
Fifty Nine Minutes Into The Match, and Adrian Pennock turned away thinking that Millwall were going to be awarded A Penalty, as Ben Thompson looks to lift the ball over the top of Gillingham’s Defence and Aiden O’Brien is knocked off balanced by Zesh Rehman, but Referee Charles Breakspear doesn’t give a decision, nor does he signal no penalty either, Gillingham do manage to sort themselves out defensively, as Adedeji Oshilaja plays out-wide to Lee Martin, who clips the ball forward to Joe Quigley, who does brilliantly to get in-front of Byron Webster, and Joe Quigley manages to relieve the pressure building up on to our own goal.
A Minute Later, and Mark Byrne is The Second Gillingham Player to go into Referee Charles Breakspear’s Notebook for his challenge on Shaun Williams, and in the aftermath of that decision being given, there is a stoppage in play for A Drinks Break as players from both teams have put in a big shift in warm weather conditions, looking across at our options on the substitutes bench, I can see Josh Parker coming into the fray very soon, we need to get more attacking players into the final third to try and give Cody McDonald and Joe Quigley something, because the support and service for our front two has been non existent at times.
Sixty Three Minutes Into The Match, and Ben Thompson is penalised for his challenge on Mark Byrne and Gillingham have A Free Kick Right On The Halfway Line in-front of the dugout, and instead of putting the ball into the box like we expected to happen, Adedeji Oshilaja passes the ball short to Lee Martin, who runs down the line in possession of the ball, and Lee Martin plays the ball down the line towards Cody McDonald and Lee Martin carries on his run forward, but Cody McDonald runs into A More Central Position On The Pitch, and Cody McDonald looked liked for a moment he was going to shoot and Cody McDonald squares the ball to Harry Cornick right on the edge of Millwall’s Penalty Area, but Harry Cornick cannot get a shot off towards goal, but The Winger On Loan From AFC Bournemouth does manage to keep the ball in play, and Harry Cornick is waiting for some service and support, and Harry Cornick kicks the ball against Joe Martin and does at least win A Corner Kick For The Gills.
And From The Resulting Corner Kick, Lee Martin whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross towards the near post and Steve Morison manages to header the ball clear and away from danger, but the chance is still there for Gillingham from the resulting throw on, as Lee Martin is quick to throw the ball short to Ryan Jackson, who plays the ball out-wide to Lee Martin, and Lee Martin is twisting and turning and trying to whip in an dangerous cross, but there is no crossing angle, so Lee Martin drops the ball back to Ryan Jackson, who whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross towards the near post, and Max Ehmer cannot quite direct his acrobatic over-head kick on target, it was well worth the attempt from Max Ehmer, but maybe Max Ehmer could have flicked the ball across the face of goal and tried to pick out either Cody McDonald or Joe Quigley.
Sixty Five Minutes Into The Match, and Neil Harris replaces one striker with another as Lee Gregory comes on and replaces Aiden O’Brien, who has gone down and required treatment just a few minutes earlier and Aiden O’Brien cannot continue, but Millwall have the fire-power and the depth in there squad to bring on A Striker who has scored Fifteen Goals in Thirty Nine Appearances, that’s the depth and quality Millwall have in there attack that Gillingham just have not got.
Then A Minute Later, Gillingham Get A Corner Kick From Nothing, Tomas Holy rolls the ball out to Adedeji Oshilaja, who takes a touch to control the ball, and Adedeji Oshilaja runs forward in possession of the ball up to roughly ten yards away from the halfway line before Adedeji Oshilaja boots the ball long down-field, and Adedeji Oshilaja’s high ball almost picks out Cody McDonald and Millwall Goalkeeper Tom King Gathers the ball and is forced to run the ball out of play and there were massive appeals from Gillingham Supporters in The Rainham End, and The Linesman Down the Rainham End / Gordon Rod Stand does flag for A Gillingham Corner Kick and you can clearly see that Tom King is furious with that decision, he isn’t happy with The Linesman and once Tom King throws the ball away in frustration, there is no escaping A Yellow Card, which is precisely what Referee Charles Breakspear shows to Tom King, Now The Millwall Goalkeeper makes the case that he was pushed out of play by Cody McDonald, I don’t think enough contact has been made, if any at all, in-fact, If Tom King just leaves the ball to go out of play, then Millwall are awarded A Goal-Kick.
I then said to Andrew before The Corner Kick was taken, what are the chances that Gillingham open the scoring with this corner, and that is precisely what Gillingham Did, As Gillingham take the lead after Sixty Seven Minutes, Lee Martin whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross towards the near post and Max Ehmer gets the faintest of touches to flick the ball goal-wards and Tom King makes a unbelievable save, but the second ball drops kindly towards Joe Quigley who fires in the re-bound into the back of the net, and despite being second best for much of this match, it is Gillingham who have taken the lead, did Harry Cornick flick the ball back to Joe Quigley ??? - I don’t think so, but Joe Quigley scores his first goal for Gillingham, and what a time to get that goal as well.
I was looking across to our substitutes bench thinking who could come on for the remaining Twenty Three Minutes Plus Stoppage Time, Lee Martin and Mark Byrne are both on Yellow Cards, so they could both be substituted if we want to try and protect them and keep eleven players on the pitch, Josh Parker and Rory Donnelly are both available if Adrian Pennock wants to bring on another attacking player, I am surprised that Adrian Pennock hasn’t considered making a substitution at the moment.
However, Three Minutes Later and Millwall should have levelled the game up at 1-1, and from where I was sitting, it looked liked there was a possible penalty appeal in there as well, Mahlon Romeo has possession of the ball for Millwall just out-side Millwall’s Eighteen Yard Box, and Mahlon Romeo kicks the ball long down-field and Steve Morison headers the ball down into Lee Gregory’s Path, but Ryan Jackson manages to get the ball partially clear and away from danger, however, The Second Ball falls kindly into Jed Wallace’s path, and Jed Wallace plays the ball back to Joe Martin, who plays the ball out-wide to Jed Wallace, who takes a touch to control the ball, and Jed Wallace takes several touches in possession of the ball before passing the ball square to Shaun Williams, who controls the ball just inside Gillingham’s Half Of The Pitch, and Shaun Williams brings the ball under his control before playing the ball out-wide to Mahlon Romeo, who plays the ball inside to David Worrall, and David Worrall plays the ball back to Shaun Williams and Shaun Williams switches the ball to the other side where Ben Thompson was, and Ben Thompson brings the ball under his control before running towards the left side of the pitch and passing the ball out-wide to Joe Martin.
Joe Martin then takes A Touch To Control The Ball, and Joe Martin whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross towards the far side of Gillingham’s Penalty Area and David Worrall headers the ball down into Lee Gregory’s Path, and Lee Gregory gets to the ball first, manages to go past Tomas Holy who had made himself big and Lee Gregory scuffs his shot wide and that should have been 1-1, I did think at the time that Millwall could have had A Penalty as Lee Gregory went to ground, but Lee Gregory was off balance when he scuffed his shot wide hence why he fell over, but at the time, I said to Andrew that is one penalty appeal turned down by both teams now, so at least we’re both level in that regard, had one team had a penalty given, and the second penalty decision wasn’t given, then that would be a constant talking point post match, but with both Gillingham and Millwall not getting penalty decisions given in there favour, then this does level things up.
Gillingham do seem content to let Millwall have possession of the ball, and try and remain as defensively disciplined and A Team that is hard to break down, which means we’re sacrificing possession, however, I can think of at least three occasions where Millwall have won the aerial challenge inside Gillingham’s Penalty Area, and better finishing could have seen Millwall at least 2-1 in-front by now, but with no Centre Back’s On The Bench, there is not much Adrian Pennock can do to improve Gillingham Defensively, but with Rory Donnelly, Elliott List and Josh Parker on the bench, Adrian Pennock does have attacking options available to try and get that all important second goal that will boost Gillingham’s Chances Of Winning, and I am surprised that one of those three haven’t come on for Gillingham Just Yet.
But while Gillingham could breath A Sigh Of relief for Millwall not taking that chance in The Seventieth Minute, Millwall did equalise after Seventy Two Minutes, and you have got to say that the goal was fully deserved, Gillingham are on the attack, which has been a rarity all game it has to be said, as Mark Byrne has possession of the ball in Millwall’s Final Third In A Central Position On The Pitch, and Mark Byrne looks to play the ball out-wide to Ryan Jackson, but Mark Byrne cuts back into A More Central Position, and Mark Byrne plays the ball inside to Harry Cornick, who looks to thread the ball through to Joe Quigley, but Harry Cornick’s Threaded Through-Ball runs through to Millwall Goalkeeper Tom King, who actually drops the ball before recovering quickly to get on to the loose ball.
From Here, Tom King throws the ball out-wide to David Worrall, and David Worrall takes a touch to control the ball before running forward in possession of the ball, and David Worrall plays the ball forward to Steve Morison, who plays A First Time Ball Back to Mahlon Romeo, who takes a touch to control the ball and Mahlon Romeo plays the ball out-wide to Steve Morison, who plays the ball back inside to Mahlon Romeo, who plays the ball out-wide to Jed Wallace, who plays a one touch layoff back into Mahlon Romeo’s Path, and Mahlon Romeo runs forward in possession of the ball before playing the ball out-wide to David Worrall Down The Right Side Of The Gillingham’s Penalty Area, and David Worrall lays the ball off to Jed Wallace on the edge of Gillingham’s Penalty Area, and Jed Wallace runs into A More Central Position before unleashing A Driven Effort towards the bottom right corner of the net and Tomas Holy does brilliantly to make the save, and Steve Morison is on to the loose ball quickly and places the ball past Tomas Holy with A Brilliant Strike, and the atmosphere from The Millwall Supporters In The Brian Moore Stand can be clearly heard around Priestfield Stadium.
There was some brilliant one touch passing and movement football from Millwall and if there is one player we didn’t want the loose ball to fall to, it was Steve Morison, Tomas Holy has done brilliantly to deny Jed Wallace From Scoring, and I don’t think that Gillingham were alert enough defensively to react to the loose ball, Steve Morison was there quickly for Millwall and he has scored the goal which has brought this game back level, just barely over five minutes after Gillingham had taken the lead, both goals have been scored from re-bounds, after brilliant saves from Tomas Holy and Tom King to keep the initial effort out, There Is Seventeen Minutes Plus Stoppage Time Remaining, Can Gillingham go on and find the winner from here ???
And Millwall could have turned this match on it’s head A Minute Later, With Gillingham still sacrificing possession for defensive stability, this gave the freedom for Millwall Midfielder Ben Thompson to take a touch to control the ball before firing A Driven Effort Over Tomas Holy’s Crossbar by some considerable distance from Twenty Five Yards Out, it is clear that Gillingham have got to do something to try and get ourselves back into this match, and Gillingham do have A Substitute Ready And Waiting To Come On as well.
But Jake Hessenthaler coming on for Harry Cornick wasn’t the substitute we were expecting, and we are Seventy Five Minutes Into This Match, granted, Harry Cornick may not be able to last the full ninety minutes, but we do have Rory Donnelly and Josh Parker on the bench, I would have thought that one of those two would have come on, Millwall have brought on Lee Gregory For Aiden O’Brien, so they have shown there intentions with the one substitute they have used so far, but Jake Hessenthaler coming on for Harry Cornick looks like Gillingham are settling for A 1-1 Draw, when it is wins we need not draws.
And after Ben Thompson’s Effort had failed to test Tomas Holy between the sticks, Millwall create A Goal-Scoring Opportunity From Our Own Goal Kick, as Tomas Holy kicks the ball long down-field and Joe Martin wins the aerial challenge on the halfway line and headers the ball forward to Lee Gregory, who flicks the ball on into Steve Morison’s Path, and Steve Morison plays the ball inside to Lee Gregory, who plays the ball down the left side of the pitch and Jed Wallace only just about does enough to keep the ball in play, and Jed Wallace waits for support and plays the ball back to Joe Martin, and Jed Wallace plays the ball back to Joe Martin, who looks to whip in a dangerous cross before playing the ball out-wide to Jed Wallace, and Jed Wallace whips in an sensational cross towards the far side of Gillingham’s Penalty Area, and Steve Morison’s Bullet Header Towards Goal clears Gillingham’s Crossbar and Millwall are on top, and they look like they are going to be the side who will go on and collect all three points, And this dominance in play shows no signs of slowing down, as Millwall thought they had A Penalty Claim as Lee Gregory kicks the ball against Adedeji Oshilaja’s rib cage, Millwall Fans chanted Hand-Ball, and this lead to ironic cheers of hand-ball from Gillingham Supporters every-time Millwall completed a pass, again, Millwall are on top, but Gillingham are just about keeping Millwall Out, all be it, with desperate defending.
Seventy Seven Minutes Into The Match, and Mark Byrne wins Gillingham A Free Kick after he was fouled by Millwall Midfielder Ben Thompson, and after that challenge from Ben Thompson, Mark Byrne’s Game Was Done, Not Because Of Injury, But Because Adrian Pennock decided to replace Mark Byrne with Emmanuel Osadebe, maybe Emmanuel Osadebe will play behind Joe Quigley and Cody McDonald and Jake Hessenthaler and Josh Wright will sit in-front of Zesh Rehman, Max Ehmer and Adedeji Oshilaja, but Gillingham Supporters were disappointed that one of Rory Donnelly or Josh Parker haven’t come on for Gillingham just yet.
The Pressure on Gillingham’s Goal just isn’t dying down as Adedeji Oshilaja is penalised for his challenge on Lee Gregory, and now Millwall have got themselves A Free Kick In A Promising Position On The Pitch, and From The Resulting Free Kick, Millwall have got the chance to score what surely now will be the goal that will win the game, as David Worrall whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross which is headed clear by Zesh Rehman, and Jake Hessenthaler headers the ball further away from Gillingham’s Goal, but with Gillingham having everyone back to defend The Free Kick, this is only a temporary reprieve, as Joe Martin has possession of the ball, and Joe Martin squares the ball to Ben Thompson in Gillingham’s Final Third, and Ben Thompson plays the ball out-wide to David Worrall, who whips in an sensational cross towards the far post, and Steve Morrison headers the ball back across the face of goal and Lee Gregory just cannot make that telling connection on the ball to give Millwall the lead, and the chance has been and gone for Millwall.
But From The Resulting Goal-Kick, Millwall were causing Gillingham more problems defensively as Tomas Holy kicks the ball long down-field and Byron Webster wins the aerial challenge up against Joe Quigley, and Shaun Williams looks to play the ball over the top of Gillingham’s Defence for David Worrall to run on to, but Adedeji Oshilaja has the pace to get back to make the recovery run and shield the ball out of play for A Gillingham Goal-Kick, there was a bit of a altercation between Adedeji Oshilaja and David Worrall after that, but Referee Charles Breakspear only gives A Warning to both players.
And The Same-Thing Happened from The Resulting Goal-Kick After That, with Tomas Holy kicking the ball long down-field and Millwall almost creating A Goal-Scoring Opportunity from our own Goal-Kick, It is getting to the point now that I would rather see Tomas Holy kick the ball out of play for A Millwall Throw On In Millwall’s Half Of The Pitch, Because Gillingham aren’t winning the aerial duels, and there not doing enough to win The Second Ball Either, I am looking at our options available on the bench, and surely Josh Parker or Rory Donnelly need to come on now while the score-line is 1-1 to see if Gillingham can go on and grab all three points, Millwall have made one sub and that was to replace one striker with another, Gillingham have attacking options on the bench and Adrian Pennock is reluctant to bring them on.
Eighty Three Minutes Into The Match, and Emmanuel Osadebe wins Gillingham A Free Kick, Unfortunately, Gillingham Waste This Rare Attacking Opportunity as Lee Martin tries to pick out Max Ehmer with A Driven Cross Towards The Back-Stick, But Lee Martin’s Cross Is Over-Hit and goes out of play for A Millwall Goal-Kick, and you can hear the frustrations from Gillingham Supporters Around Priestfield Stadium, The Attendance Inside Priestfield Stadium was also announced as 7,221, of whom 2,262 are Millwall fans, and I have got to say that the turnout from Gillingham Supporters is very disappointing for this match, granted, there were complications with the ticketing structure for this match and Gillingham are involved in A League One Relegation Battle, but these types of matches should see Gillingham get 8,000+ plus, fair play to Millwall for selling there allocation, and at least we learned from last season by giving Millwall The Entire Brian Moore Stand, But I think the attendance is at least 1,000 lower then what it should be for these type of matches.
Eighty Seven Minutes Into The Match, and Millwall make there second substitute of the game as Fred Onyedinma replaces David Worrall, and Joe Quigley is named as Gillingham’s Man Of The Match and I have to disagree with that decision, now Joe Quigley has scored his first goal for Gillingham and that is great, however, there have been games this season where Joe Quigley has performed better without sticking the ball into the back of the net, I do think that The Sponsor’s just pick The Goal-Scorer at times as that is the easiest thing to do, Mark Byrne would have been My Choice For Man Of The Match, as I was impressed with his performance in Gillingham’s Midfield.
Joe Quigley and Max Ehmer are penalised for there challenges on Shaun Williams and Steve Morrison as Gillingham’s Foul Tally Increases, and it is after the second foul where Millwall Have A Free Kick Within Shooting Territory Here, and I had both of my hands clinched - Please Keep This Out Gills - Jed Wallace puts his laces through the ball and Jed Wallace see’s his effort towards goal blocked, then, Lee Gregory see’s his follow up effort on goal blocked by Adedeji Oshilaja, Corner For Millwall and Gillingham are hanging on, Jed Wallace goes across to take the resulting corner kick for Millwall, and Jed Wallace whips in an dangerous in-swinging cross and Tomas Holy is quick off his goal-line to make a fantastic catch, if ever you need your Goalkeeper to take the pressure off your defence, then that is it - Excellent Catch From Tomas Holy.
Josh Wright then is booked in The Ninetieth Minute, and then The Fourth Official Shows - FIVE ADDITIONAL MINUTES OF ADDED TIME!!!!!! - On The Board, the noise increases in volume around Priestfield Stadium, can Gillingham kick on from here and find the winner ??? - Unfortunately, it is The Visitor’s who are piling on the pressure as Fred Onyedinma and Mahlon Romeo link up nicely for Millwall down The Right Side Of The Pitch, and Mahlon Romeo kicks the ball against Emmanuel Osadebe to win Millwall A Corner Kick, And From The Resulting Corner Kick, Jed Wallace has whipped in an dangerous in-swinging cross and Zesh Rehman wins the first aerial challenge, but the second ball drops to Lee Gregory who see’s his driven shot towards goal blocked by Adedeji Oshilaja, and Lee Martin plays the ball long down-field, and Cody McDonald flicks the ball on into Joe Quigley’s Path, and I thought that Joe Quigley had done really well to turn past Byron Webster, but Referee Charles Breakspear controversially awards Millwall A Free Kick.
Millwall continue to be the team who dominate and only one team is going to go on and pick up all three points now, as Max Ehmer and Lee Martin have both been forced to concede corner kick’s, In Lee Martin’s case, it was blocking an effort on goal from Fred Onyedinma, and from Jed Wallace’s Third In-Swinging Corner Kick In A Row, Byron Webster climbs highest at the far post, but he cannot direct his header on target.
Still it is Millwall who continue to dominate the final minute or two of added time, Tomas Holy kicks the ball long down-field and Shaun Williams headers the ball down-field, and Zesh Rehman wins the first aerial challenge and Jed Wallace is first to the loose ball to hook the ball into Lee Gregory’s Path, and Lee Gregory tee’s up Steve Morison to try his luck from range, but it is a shot that is too simple for Tomas Holy to save, and that effort on goal from Steve Morison was the final noteworthy moment of the match, and The Full Time Score see’s neither side pick up all three points, but both teams will be happy for the point, for Millwall, it is a point that moves them back into the playoffs, for Gillingham, It Is A Point that stops the rot and potentially, something to build on.
FULL TIME: GILLINGHAM 1 - 1 MILLWALL
Gillingham Players Applauded The Supporters, Who Likewise, applauded the players, because that was a tough match against Millwall and The Point does stop the rot, yes we really could have done with all three points, and I did tweet before the game that Gillingham have to start winning now, but given how that match went and how Millwall were pushing for the winner, then I would take the point, and we move on to the next game against Bristol Rovers On Good Friday, which is going to be another difficult match, I mentioned In My FOM BLOG Previewing Gillingham V Millwall that Home Form Is Going To Be Crucial If Gillingham want League One Football Next Season LINK IS HERE: http://fan-of-mulligan.tumblr.com/post/159299890047/fom-blog-home-form-crucial-for-league-one - And so far, Gillingham have picked up one point from our three remaining matches, if Gillingham can build on this point against Millwall with a win against Bristol Rovers, then Gillingham stand a great chance of avoiding relegation into League Two.
I listened to The PA System for how the other results have gone in League One, and you have got to say that the results have gone against us as Oldham Athletic and Shrewsbury Town both won and Charlton Athletic won as well, It is only thanks to Chesterfield’s win against Port Vale which keeps Gillingham out of The League One Relegation Zone, now we’re in deep deep trouble and we need to find a way to win, Easter Weekend will define this season for Gillingham one way or another, hopefully, Gillingham can put the points on the board against Bristol Rovers and Charlton Athletic so that Gillingham retain our League One Status, For Fans thinking that Relegation into League Two means an instant return back into League One is more then achievable, look how long it took for Gillingham to get promoted last time round, Most of Our Supporters Know This, they know just how essential it is to avoid relegation this season, and hopefully Gillingham can do just that in our final four league games.
I made sure I had everything before heading for the exit, and I headed down towards The Players Entrance to wait for Stephen, Diane and Gary and while I was waiting, GillsInTheBlood was asking for suggestions for Man Of The Match, and I had sent the following Tweet,,,, Mark Byrne was very good today, I thought he deserved MOTM, Holy was also much better between the sticks this afternoon - I thought that Mark Byrne had a very good game and he deserved The Man Of The Match Award more then Joe Quigley did, great to see Joe Quigley score his first Gillingham Goal and that is a positive, is that enough for Man Of The Match? - Not For Me.
Stephen caught up with me first and we were looking at a few results throughout the divisions and The Surprise Result Was Norwich City Winning 7-1 against Reading, Stephen mentioned that Norwich City were 6-1 up at half time as well, I mentioned that surely there has been a sending off whenever you see a result so one sided as that, great result for Norwich City, who have a slim chance of reaching the playoffs, but maybe Norwich City are looking to build some momentum for next season, and look to start The 2017 / 2018 season very strongly.
Diane and Gary caught up with Me and Stephen, And Me, Gary, Diane and Stephen spoke about the poor attendance, because a attendance of 7,221 for Gillingham V Millwall is very poor, and there was 2,262 Millwall Supporters In The Brian Moore Stand, which meant that there was only 5,000 Gillingham Supporters Inside Priestfield Stadium, I know that West Ham United are at home, and there has been a strict ticketing policy for this match, but there should be at least 8,000 inside Priestfield Stadium for this game, I had empty seats next to me and sections in The Rainham End and The Gordon Road Stand were empty as well.
That Attendance sums up Supporters Frustrations With This Season and I also think that Supporters have made it very clear that they want A Change In Management For Next Season, A Gillingham Season Ticket Holder for many season’s a few rows behind me isn’t renewing, Andrew and Charlotte next to me aren’t renewing, I have heard of other supporters around the ground who are not renewing there Season Tickets Either, Gillingham should be getting better support considering the size of our catchment area, but if you compare our off the field plans, they are Championship with Premier League Potential, If They Come Off, But The Management Is Not At There Same Level, The Management Needs to reflect the clubs ambition, and that is why Kenny Jackett, Steve Cotterill and Chris Powell constantly get mentioned, because they achieved success at this level with Wolves, Bristol City and Charlton Athletic respectively.
We spoke about The Josh Wright Rumour, and Gary is surprised that Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Josh Wright just because of A Purple Patch, obviously, if we were to go down then it may well be a case of cashing in on Josh Wright and try and get some money for him, the same also applies to Bradley Dack, Because Gillingham may have to cash in on Bradley Dack, get what we can for him rather then see him walk for nothing at the end of next season, Because Bradley Dack turns Twenty Four In A Year’s Time and he can walk for A Tribunal Fee at the end of the following season, I am sure that because Bradley Dack has come through the ranks at Gillingham, then The Tribunal Fee would be close to £1,000,000, But that wouldn’t be close to what Bristol City were offering over A Year Ago, which was over £2,500,000.
You could clearly hear The Police Helicopter Above us and I normally wait after the game until the crowd disperses, but more so this time as it is Millwall at home, and while we were waiting, The Four Of Us Spoke about The NoirCat Prediction League, I mentioned that I got My Prediction Spot On For NoirCat and I am on course for promotion, Gary mentioned that he cannot think of anyone who has done A League And Cup Double, and I thought that surely if your doing well in the league then there is a good chance that you will progress well in the cup as well, However, Gary pointed out that you only have to get a few predictions right to progress in the cup, and also, there might a occasion where you get through on home advantage, as someone might have put the same predictions as you.
Stephen is hoping to bounce back into The Premier League at the first attempt, and Stephen has got three predictions spot on in a row so he has gone from dropping out of the promotion places, to now cementing himself into a top two position, Diane is also in promotion contention in her own division, and all four of us are doing well in our own divisions, I have got Three Wins and A Defeat in my final four league predictions, and I hope I get those predictions spot on, as that will mean that Gillingham will retain there League One Status, I think Diane has Two Wins and Two Defeats, so that might well be enough for Gillingham to avoid relegation as well.
I was convinced that Lee Martin was fouled in The First Half and Gary mentioned that was A Penalty, but there was also a possible penalty for Millwall as well, which Gary was surprised about as Millwall had the chance to score from just two yards out, I found out after watching The Highlights that Lee Gregory was off balance when he took the shot on which is why he fell over and not because of any challenge from A Gillingham Player, but Referee Charles Breakspear chose not to give either decision, had one been given and not the other for or against either team, then there would have been a huge talking point, but not giving both penalty decisions shows a level of consistency.
Gary Mentioned to Me, Diane and Stephen that Lee Martin had A Few Coins thrown at him before A Few Corner Kicks were being allowed to be taken, and this explained why it took so long before those corner kicks were kicked back into play by Gillingham, And if that is the case, then surely there is going to be a level of punishment coming Millwall’s Way, either a warning or a fine, it won’t be as steep as a points deduction or A Ban On Away Supporters, I think it will most likely be a warning first and foremost, The Vast Majority Of Millwall Supporters were well behaved though, and Me and Diane have seen what it is like whenever Gillingham go to local away matches, there easier to travel to and Gillingham bring a fantastic away following, however, you also see people at these matches who have never been to A Gillingham Home Or Away Game Before, and they are usually the ones who cause the trouble, and it is difficult to police this, because once tickets go on General Sale, anyone can buy a ticket, I am sure that Millwall Supporters will also self police there own supporters to remind them that there conduct could well see genuine supporters punished for future away matches.
Gary decided to head off, and Me and Diane said C Ya At The Next Home Game, while Stephen Said C Ya, as Stephen isn’t going to The Bristol Rovers Home Game, but he is going to Charlton Athletic On Easter Monday, and speaking of Charlton Athletic, Me, Stephen and Diane were making our own preparations for Charlton Athletic Away, we were going to group save from Rainham Train Station and get to Charlton Athletic early enough so we can buy some food and drink, there is A Chip Shop Near The Ground and I think there is A Retail Park within walking distance as well, A lot Of Supporters were looking to travel to Charlton Athletic Via Train On Easter Monday - I even asked Stewart if he wanted to go to Charlton Athletic. - This is A Match we have been planning for for quite a few months now and we just need to sort out the finer details now.
Looking at Promotion And Relegation Position’s Which Have Been Confirmed In The Football League So Far, Rotherham United’s Relegation Into League One was confirmed a while ago, but Sheffield United have secured promotion this weekend, Bolton Wanderers look increasingly likely to go up with them as well, and Doncaster Rovers have managed to bounce back into League One at The First Attempt, Darren Ferguson has done a fantastic job there and how or why we didn’t try and sign John Marquis on a permanent basis I have no idea, because John Marquis is scoring goals for fun, why didn’t we sign Alfie May, why didn’t we go for Harry Smith who is at Millwall, and why did we let Mahlon Romeo go ??? and you have to seriously question some of the decisions made by Justin Edinburgh here, because the players he didn’t sign have gone on and done well at other clubs - and that happens - but releasing Mahlon Romeo who is now linked with A Move To West Ham United is a shocking decision.
Looking Ahead to our Match On Good Friday, Bristol Rovers at home is now A Must Win Game, but there are in a position where The Playoffs is still possible, Fleetwood Town are dropping off and they might be in dreadful form by the time we play them, which will help of course, but if Gillingham win against Bristol Rovers, then this would be a very good point, as four points from these two fixtures would be a good points tally, I mentioned in My FOM BLOG that home form is crucial in deciding on what division we are in, well we have got a point at the moment, hopefully, we can build on this with a win against Bristol Rovers.
As we were leaving from the ground, Stephen mentioned why is Mitchell Dickenson not in the squad as Adrian Pennock started him against Rochdale and praised him after his league debut, now he is not in the side at all ??? - And you would think that with no Centre Back On The Bench that Mitchell Dickenson would be in the squad at the very least, and also, Noel Mbo needs to be Gillingham’s First Team for every match between now and the end of the season, speaking of strikers, Why didn’t one of, or, all three of Elliott List, Josh Parker or Rory Donnelly come on ??? I can understand defending the point and making sure that four defeats in a row do not turn into five, but Gillingham needed wins, and when we went 1-0 up, that was the time for Adrian Pennock to bring on another attacking substitution to try and grab that all important second goal.
We went into Sainsbury’s as Me and Stephen wanted to get something to drink, Diane wanted to get some shopping done, and I brought A 500ML Bottle Of Coca Cola for £1.30, I then got A Call On My Mobile, It Was Dad saying that Mum wanted A Small Portion Of Chips and A FishCake, I mentioned the score-line and how the match went briefly before mentioning that I would ring again when I get back to Rainham, as I didn’t know what The Train Times were so I could be stuck on Gillingham Train Station for Twenty Minutes, After Diane had done some shopping, Diane said C Ya Saturday to Me - I mentioned that, well you can go to the ground on Saturday Diane, but no-one else will be there, as Gillingham Play On Good Friday, And after Bristol Rovers, it is A Away Match against Charlton Athletic On Easter Monday - The Match we have been looking forward to going to.
Me and Stephen then made our way to Gillingham Train Station, and We Got Speaking With Danial and another Gillingham Supporter, One Of The Questions I was asked was about my thoughts on Five At The Back At Home ??? - I think this system is our attempt to try and plug any gaps defensively and keep two strikers on the pitch, but you are out-numbered in midfield, and this system can switch quickly to A 3.4.1.2 Formation, but when your Full Backs / Wing Backs are pushed back, this then turns into a back five straight away.
We all had the same opinion on The Millwall Match, If Gillingham can build on this point over Easter Weekend against Bristol Rovers and Charlton Athletic, then this is a good point, failure to build on this point, and Gillingham are in deep deep trouble, and we spoke about Bristol Rovers being close to the playoffs, so they will be another difficult side for Gillingham to play against, hopefully, it is a case of the better the opposition, the better the performance, because Gillingham do seem to raise there game against better opposition, and boy don’t Gillingham need to start raising there game.
As The 18.20PM Train was about to arrive on Platform Three, I said C Ya To Danial, and Me and Stephen just about got on the train in time, I then rang home to say I was On The 18.20PM Train and I mentioned to Stephen that I will create The Man Of The Match Thread On Gills Debate, and hopefully, try and solve the issues I was having with Gills Player, as I am sure that Stephen will want to listen to the game against Bristol Rovers On Good Friday, and then it is the big match and the game we have been planning for for some-time, Charlton Athletic Away, Because The Trains will be packed, we will be looking to get to the ground very early so that we can get some-thing to eat and see the players before kick off, Can we not have Andy Barcham back just for that one game, because that goal Andy Barcham scored against Charlton Athletic was superb.
As The Train Arrived In Rainham Train Station at 18.25PM, I Said C Ya To Stephen before heading To George’s Plaice, and I Brought A Portion Of Chips And Two Jumbo Plain Sausages, and A Portion Of Chips and One FishCake for £8.50, I also went to The Co-Op to buy A Two Litre Bottle Of Pepsi, before getting a lift back home, and I was back home at 18.40PM, All In All, Not A Bad Result Against Millwall, but what is important, is if Gillingham cash build on that point against Millwall with back to back results against Bristol Rovers and Charlton Athletic, Two Draws Won’t Be Enough, A Win And A Draw Would Be Excellent, Back To Back Wins would be sensational, hopefully, Gillingham can build on this result against Millwall with back to back wins against Bristol Rovers and Charlton Athletic, because six points from these two games would keep Gillingham In League One - COME ON THE GILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
