I've been trying to make progress on Reel and Deal realizing it's been, y'know, way longer than I'd like given I've got like half of Chapter 5 already written.

And then I decide to have a fun little scene with Beat and Shiki at a skate park.

And then I realize I know nothing about skateboarding.

So anyway I've spent about 20% of Writing Mode time this week actively writing and 80% Okay I Actually Need To Know The BARE MINIMUM About Skateboarding To Block This Scene. Think I've finally got it adequate.

#writing with regalli #reel and deal #it was research time or watch Sk8 The Infinity to get a LITTLE frame of reference #and Sk8 The Infinity cemented itself on my Actual Radar because people were comparing Birdie Wing to it so you know.#while I did unavoidably osmose A LITTLE Genuine Golf Knowledge out of Birdie Wing we all know this was not its intent!#(but like. I now understand that the little hole with the flag is not ACTUALLY The Hole and what it is called instead)#(because the hole is the section of the golf course so it needed a different name. Didn't know that before! Now I do. Thanks Birdie Wing.)#so you know since I'm at about THAT level of knowledge here I figure the Actual Sport Knowledge will not be all THAT hard to spot #as it will be much more restrained amidst the... y'know. everything.#(you could watch actual skateboarding - yeah I could but I read fast. If I was gonna watch something it may as well be Completely Unhinged.
