#he's locked in a tower of his own making!!!#he was literally locked away in a cave for his own protection!#and possibly punishment#whichever way you look at it solitary confinement with sensory deprivation is tortuous! a recognized cruel and unusual punishment!#this man puts on a facade of calm cool collected because the impulsiveness of his youth had the biggest cost he could imagine#he thought his friend died!!! and when he came back!! he hated him because of his failure!! and yet! he persists in his devotion!!#yqy still tries to show he cares to feed a nearly feral cat despite coming out of it with cat scratches!!#he accepts the metaphorical rabies (death by xuan su) as long as SQQ will be safe!! and when he thinks he's dying he discloses the truth#because he can't go and leave behind a sqq that thinks he already abandoned him not when he sees death as a true form of abandonment

YQY is not okay and he is not normal but he smiles pretty and never mentions his pain or burden and for that he has the reward of walking towards death with love in his heart.

you know that one post about how everyone falls in love with SY!SQQ because he is the only character showing kindness aside from YQY who is punished for it???

Airplane, unwanted child of divorced parents, how are you doing??? HOW are you doing to create a character motivated by a silent love and devotion who never finds absolution for his perceived failure of abandonment.
