thinking about an interaction i had with a couple sfx classmates the other day
#one was doing makeup on the other and i walked up to chat for a minute#and the one modeling was like “hey [pax] your voice sounds different. deeper almost. or like a different timbre idk”#and I kinda brushed it aside bc I didn't think my voice sounded any different than usual#and the other friend goes “idk maybe they're having a masculine moment today”#which. okay for one i love these guys for respecting my genderqueer-ness. like they actually use alternate pronouns and stuff for me#but the other thing is that i actually was having a bit more of a masc day that day and didn't even notice until they mentioned it#so it leaves me wondering if i do actually hold my voice differently or if it was just some kind of coincidence
