Rewatching a few Succession eps for Reasons and I just know the ways they grew up talking about their sibling unit was so different. Like I feel it in my bones that Roman has always said that he had two older brothers and a sister, and I feel that Kendall said he had a little brother and a little sister and oh, yeah, another brother, but he had a different mom, that Shiv just said she had brothers and maybe one got off easy because he didn't have to deal with Caroline, without every clarifying they were all older, and that Connor would forever just say he had three kid siblings.

#and it's all inherently political in and of itself right?#because roman would say two older brothers because it was true #sure #but also because he knew it deligitimised kendall as heir #which would be the exact reason kendall tried to stress himself as the eldest but you'd know he'd also immediately fold with connor #his insecurity making him lead with the untruth #but he loves and needs connor just enough to keep him always admitting it #and shiv gets to use her only daughter status to her advantage sometimes right?#because she might be the youngest but she's not squabbling over brother titles and maybe that gives her some title #hbo succession
