Dude thinking abt hypothetical fandoms for my stories is so fucking funny to me.... Just like. Try imagining people writing fanfiction abt your ocs. Its rly weird to think abt but also funny because for me I feel most of the popular fanfic au tropes just straight up wouldn't work for the eternal gales cast but I could still super see people trying anyways and it would be a mess hsmhdkdh

#rat rambles #oc posting #like Im trying to imagine people trying to make college or even highschool aus for eternal gales and it Would Not Work ndnhdkdgj #partially because like half the cast are aliens but mostly because of the sheer amount of distance between even the human characters #fuck man dodie doesnt even live in the same time period as them for most of their life and she was heavily impacted by that #having her grow up in a normal household would likely result in her being a wildly different person #and then theres also the au antags who while you like. could get away with not including them theres one in particular that would probably #be decently popular due to her being a part of one of eternal gales like. 2 ships.#on a related note I think its god damn hilarious that both of eternal gales' big romances involve a version of sier hdkydkeh #I feel like people would just make owl and sier siblings to excuse keeping her around to date dodie #and mayybe au bloom could get to be included since shes like... the main antag and head of the au antag squad #but theres not as easy of an excuse in line for her since you cant rly seperate bloom from fydd's family and au bloom is like 38 #and ohhh god sier x looser fics of all flavors would be mixed bags for sure #I think itd be funny if someone tries to pull a 'oh but they are probably straight so they might not like me back :(' with them hdmydldu #theyre both some flavor of nonbinary so idk how youd justify that but I could see people trying #but honestly I think itd just mainly be hurt comfort fics with looser comforting sier #which would be like fine but I feel like looser would be only rly utalised for that in fics since his main plotline is the romance plot #not that he is defined by his relationship with sier but his arc is heavily connected to the progress of it #since its a lot of him learning how to recognise his own emotions and shit #oh also I feel like fydd and bloom would just fade so far into the background in school au fics since theyre children #apologies for talking abt oc shit I just find this line of thought very fun dukdujs #but yeah eternal gales has a lot of complicated and messy characters so I feel like its fandom wouldnt be great #people on the internet are just allergic to looking at anything with any levels of nuance and thatd cause obnoxious discourse I think shmdy #eternal gales
