#ive been simmering on this idea of revenge as a... morally neutral facet of the human experience#which we seem to REFUSE to depict in anything but a moralizing/'cautionary tale' way#so much work has been done both in art and in science to 'prove' that revenge is bad and we shouldn't do it#but it has the same flavor has like all the work put into 'proving' sex is bad and you shouldn't do it#like. what about revenge as a spiritual experience. what about revenge as ordained by the gods#what about revenge as a birthright and revenge as cultural duty and revenge as an act of healing#and then blue eye samurai comes along and taps the mic and says 'REVENGE AS AN ARTFORM LIKE SEX WORK OR FORGING SWORDS'#anyway i would die for these show creators
