a good while ago (like several years back) i used to hang on deviantart and just browse for random ocs made by kids, like the neon color edgy ones and whatnot, and doodle them some fanart to relax and get some practice in.. and ofc tweens on deviantart posting their first ocs arent expecting semi-pro artists to send them fanart and get real excited about it which is sweet. i need to get back to doing that if i can find the time

#97 #i feel like this made up for my evil deviantart behavior #which was entering fanart contests for semi-popular artists knowing i was gonna have way more technical skill than others #just bc the userbase is mostly amateur artists and i was a trained artist lol so i would just join and win the contest so easily #i didnt even want the prizes like ive never used deviantart points i just did that for the attention #which was fairly evil behavior for like a 21 or 22 yo #just taking prizes from a bunch of teens who were genuinely passionate about doing fanart for the gratification of winning something #very insane and ridiculous behavior on my part
