*screams* Damen isn’t stupid he’s DENSE!!! Ok his head is thick but it’s still full of knowledge. He doesn’t look for deeper meaning behind everything everyone says because he trusts people to mean what they say the way he always means what he says!!!

#anyway #I can’t take seeing people call him stupid because it’s really not that simple #one of my favorite things about these novels is how uniquely characterized their two kingdoms are to each other #but it often feels like people do NOT take that into account when considering him #and why he doesn’t see through all the stuff Laurent says #FUCK EVEN A LOT OF READERS WERE SURPRISED BY SOME THINGS HOW CAN YOU BLAME DAMEN FOR NOT SEEING THROUGH #ALL OF WHAT LAURENT SAID WHEN OBJECTIVE READERS COULDNT #which that’s not an insult to those readers either Pacat did a very good job writing Laurent’s double speaking ways #captive prince #anyway.
