My grandmother - drinks black coffee because she did not usually have enough money to spare
My dad - drinks black coffee because "in the Navy they didn't have anything else"
Me - drinks black coffee because I forgot milk, am too lazy to go buy some, and it has been almost a week
#am ashamed but also that's ok#cause this coffee is good enough on its own#none of that instant coffee#which my other grandmother calls 'American coffee' because real Italian coffee is espresso#in her opinion all American coffee must be instant#because that makes sense?
