“You’re brilliant!” Molly exclaimed, laughing gleefully as she hit a few more keys on her laptop and then jumped up.

“Well yes, Molly, though I don’t actually require that you announce it every time it’s displayed,” he smirked.

She skipped happily over to him, grabbing his shoulders as she added, “but this is amazing because now that we finished our chemistry project so much faster than I thought, I’ll definitely have time to go out with Frank this weekend and maybe we can actually start dating now!”

Molly stood on tiptoes, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek which, in her haste, ended up landing closer to the corner of his lips. Just as she saw his wide eyed gaze and was about to apologize, her parted lips were very suddenly consumed by his and all previous thoughts left her brain.

A few blissful moments later, which effectively blew away any other kiss she’d experienced thus far in her young life, Sherlock pulled back to breathlessly whisper, “In my expert opinion, Molly, our chemistry project is far from complete, and Frank may have to wait...indefinitely.”
