(Same anon) It's also just a lot harder for me because Solas in Inquisition was trying to take down the Veil in a world that was genuinely shitty to elves, mages, and spirits (nvm that until this game I was 100% sure that he was trying to do this more for the ancient elves, like why else imply there are more out there to Abelas? I guess he was just being polite?) Veilguard depicts Thedas as being largely okay with mages and spirits even outside of Tevinter and pointedly doesn't depict racism against elves outside a handful of throwaway lines. So they had him going at this with the same conviction from DAI, of a man trying to reverse the slow genocide of his people, but they've boiled his motivations down to "The Veil is unnatural" Like. How much more awesome if we could have convinced him not to destroy the world because of a culmination of choices in this game and all the others that made Thedas a kinder place idk man. ngnegnwgnf sorry for ranting in your inbox, I still liked Solas enough in this game but it was really bittersweet that they just dumbed down his motivations. I love your idea for influencing the Inky though, it definitely should have been a choice closer to the end and allowed for more variations (ideally all Inkies should have that, not just the Solavellans)

100% agree that the sanitization of the world and lore absolutely hurts Solas's motivations - especially if you look at it solely from what Veilguard gives us and with no background from previous games. All of the previous games, mostly Origins, were really effective in conveying how shit life could be for an elf - and how inbuilt this prejudice against the elves was in all aspects of Thedas.

The chant of light removing the canticle of Shartan, the march on the Dales, the struggles of the Dalish to simply live, the treatment of elves by the ruling class/chantry/ and others in general...it all painted such a bleak outlook for the elves and showed how ingrained this prejudice was in all aspects of Thedas. They had no way out - the structures of power in Thedas would fight them at every turn - which was why Solas being set up as a way for them to fight against all these systems was so compelling! You want the elves to win - but it will be at the cost of everything else if Solas goes ahead with his plan.

(You can definitely also make an argument that perhaps he's using them just to restore the world from before -> Felassan argued with him about this: to see the world as it was as real and worth improving.)

DATV felt divorced from the previous games, and its reluctance to meaningfully go into issues surrounding the lives of elves in Thedas - all the ugliness that brings - really did nothing to add to Solas's motivations for bringing down the Veil. If anything, I got the impression that he does not see anyone in Thedas as being 'real' and that he's simply doing it out of regret and to soothe his own ego/guilt. If this game wanted me to be sympathetic towards Solas it didn't do a good job of making me feel it, especially when you look at the totality of everything that Solas has done.

What I took from Trespasser was that Solas wanted to heal the wound he had left on the world - the Veil - and what he had inadvertently done to the elves. He had given everything he had to free the elven people from oppression and tyranny, only to inadvertently leave them vulnerable to the same oppression from others -> taking away their magic and long lives in the process. He was so blinded by his goal (stopping the evanuris) that he failed to see what his own actions might have wrought in the process.

Trespasser set up the 'Elven Rebellion 2.0' with a Solas who was torn between the world he once knew and the world it had become in spite of his intentions. Does he truly care about the elven people in current Thedas? Or does he just care about the world that came before? In DAI he was such a fascinating character because he could be so polarizing! People loved him! People hated him! Both were correct!

But starting the game with the ritual, sanitizing the world (no real signs of conflicts about spirits, mages, elves, anything really etc...), and simplifying his motivations to "fix fade -> be immortal/magic -> profit"...it just feels so shallow.

Solas: "Long before we met, I failed my oldest friend. She died for that failure. If I leave the Veil in place, I am destroying the world she wanted."

He spells his motivations out pretty clearly at the end and it's just...Mythal? He doesn't seem to care about the elves that are currently living in Thedas - not even Lavellan. Like you said, in Tresspasser I also got the impression that he wanted stop the slow genocide of his people. But apparently it was 'Mythal All Along'!

The lack of supporters/agents really gives him no credence to say that this is anything that the elves want - elven Rook can even call him out on it and he doesn't care. For a character whose own trauma began with bring coerced into a body he didn't want he doesn't give a shit about doing the same to thousands of other elves.

It's far less compelling, to me at least, than what I felt was set up in DAI: the Dread Wolf, god of rebellion, rallying elves after ages of systematic abuse and oppression with the goal of liberating his people and restoring the world that was - the world he inadvertantly denied them with the consequences of his actions. Instead it's just Solas doing his own thing because he's right and he needs to fix what he did wrong for Mythal.

It would have been great to be able to convince him to change his mind/ pursue another path as a result of the culmination of our actions throughout the series. It could be a nice nod to our past decisions and a nice conclusion to see the results of those choice in missives/codex entries. Same as the 'south can repel the blight' counter idea, have their be some kind of 'convince Solas to pursue another option' tally that demonstrates that this world is willing to change and he should be too.

THOUGHTS AND LAYERS

i spent literally an hour analyzing this trailer at 0.5 speed. this post is long af and these thoughts are in no particular order and are poorly organized:

-there's a big storm (which I think was already confirmed), and ed gets swept overboard by a bucket on a rope:

he then crawls up out of the water onto the beach

then goes into the forest, creates a hut, has a journey of healing and self-discovery, meets hornigold (or his ghost??)

and kills him thus killing the part of himself that he hated the most (his violence) as a parallel to stede finally getting rid of nigel's ghost by accepting and believing in himself

-in the stede/ed split screen, the stede shot is from the first ep of s2 right after stede finds the marooned crew at the end of ep 10 in s1 (you can tell bc his hair and clothes are still clean, there's no gay bandana around his neck, and that's his lil dinghy buttons is rowing)

-they go to shore and wind up at the merchants shop where "susan" overhears they're tracking down blackbeard

and she invites stede's crew onto her ship, cue the outfit change in the BTS photos:

-the way stede makes that little swishy turn in the red coat -

makes me think this may be first time he's been in fine clothes since his "death" and i hope we get a moment of him reflecting on how he gave up everything for ed only to have him hate him :( but then obviously realizing that ed is worth it and he'd do it all again in a heartbeat if it meant getting a chance at spending the rest of his life with him

-izzy and stede team up, and izzy is clearly training either himself or stede on the revenge (?)

soooooo many questions: what caused him to leave ed and join stede's crew? is he fighting with ed and is training to take him out or is he just done having his love be unrequited so he leaves and just so happens to stumble into stede? is izzy thinking that if he can't cut out the longing he has for ed he has to kill him instead so the pain will go away? what, pray tell, the fuck is going on in here on this day

-wee john in the mermaid costume (and olu in a bunny or donkey costume?):

a fuckery? or just a weird acid trip? OR IS IT THE TALENT SHOW THEY NEVER GOT TO HAVE??

-ed really does force everyone on his crew to wear war paint

-all the tally marks scratched into the walls - is that the number of days since stede bonnet broke ed's heart?

-delusional moment but i hope anne bonny on stede's lap is looking at calico jack off screen

which evolves my theory that ed in the forest goes through his healing journey and realizes he wants to openly love stede again but then the navy attack and stede just so happens to have found ed at the same time and they're fighting to get to each other and taking out everyone in their way (what if that was okracoke lmao)

makes me think the bts shot of ed and jackie is them looking at stede and the swede, and ed being SO in love with stede obvi but jackie is watching the swede do some weirdly hot shit so she's gotta have him (what if they got married and he became her umpteenth husband in a drunken vegas-like shotgun wedding where she wakes up the next day to realize what has happened lmao)

-side note about a LACK of something: ed isn't wearing the cravat at all in the trailer near as i can tell, and he's not wearing the pearl necklace when throwing knives at the wall (at least from what I can see, which is not much) which leads me to believe that scene is in the earlier part of the season

(Way long overdue lmao and long I’m so sorry guys, also made some edits because I wanted to word some things better)

I want to start off by saying she is me, me is she(Im not sure if I made it clear or not so apologies I’m kinda dumb🫰). I say “her” in my posts instead of “me” because idk it feels right since I make her look differently than I actually do. Even so, we share the same name and I do the clown look all the time when I go out to places that I get an excuse to🧍‍♂️so really it is just me but anyway,,, time to begin! This is my first time actually writing this out so I’m sorry if it’s formatted and explained terribly

First off, Silly String is my persona’s clown name. She came up with it herself, everything else was Pennywise’s idea. She was originally a human, and still looks like one and has the appetite of one(when she changed Pennywise assumed she would want to eat people. He was wrong.) She lived in texas(yee-honk) before moving to Maine literally because she thought “why not?” and ended up in good old Derry. Her life growing up wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t the best. She was always into odd and strange things, or things that most would find creepy(clowns. Love clowns. They’re so cool) so she was kinda outcasted from others at a young age but soon people learned to just let her live in peace which of course she was happy about. She did manage to make some friends, solidarity. After moving, she continued pursuing freelance photography and painting, but her full time job is as a barista in a local coffee shop(wow, how interesting💀).

The way that she met Pennywise was kinda stupid. All she was doing was taking photos of the local wildlife and next thing you know a kid is running by before she notices a fucking weird ass clown creature from hell charging straight towards her(she still snapped a photo before running). He does catch up to her and jumps her. How she managed to not get away, but the kid did, don’t ask me. She survived, her camera unfortunately did not(he gets her a new one eventually guys trust).

since then, they kept bumping into each other. He does try to kill her again but she kept managing to escape him(pissed him off more and more each time) but soon enough he starts to chill out and basically decides to learn more about her. The more she realized he was going to not continuously try eat her every time he visited she would start asking him questions about who he was as an entity and where he came from. It does start out as a weird friendship where he would mess with her at work or appear out of literally no where to hang around. He does start to enjoy her company and watching her do normal, human things since her doing it made it seem entertaining. After a while of slowly getting closer and closer they become loving parters yay(she was still human at this time).

Fast forward and they get “married” which they really call their “eternal binding.” Basically what it means is that she became a part of him. As in if he dies, she dies. She unfortunately didn’t gain any cool shape shifting and such, she just gets to live and thrive as long as he does. When it first happened she was having a hard time with it simply because she’s going to outlive everyone she knows and will continue to, but over time she made her peace with it and saw it as a privilege to watch the world change around her and of course stay with her beloved.

Also the year they met was set in the 1980s, or honestly it could be any time after that or something I don’t know yall get creative I’m just going with the flow.

Pascal is a jaloro pepper and since his parents are so shit at naming him, they straight up put his pepper type as a name. but yes, they're a real thing and they're so cute. Jaloros are just yellow jalapenos

I also tried to make him simultaneously look like a pepper and a mango to complement how Pepperman looks like an apple. but also while drawing the sprite mock ups, I realized that at a certain pose he sorta looks like a pizza slice. I win either way bfsjbgksjr

He does not want to be an artist or a chef but he does have the inherited naturality of both which landed him a job as a barista. and of course, he could only work for one place which is the Noisette Cafe. It kinda gave him a little trouble getting hired cuz 1.) Peppino does not like how his son is about to work for his rival's girlfriend and 2.) Noisette is fucking terrified of Pepperman. You think she's gonna let his son who is one foot taller work for her 😭

But still, Noisette is way too kind that Peppino forgets why he has a problem with her and Pascal is way softer than both his dads surprisingly. It's ironic how Peppino and Pepperman are these barbarians of people and their kid ended up being the forestcore aestethic. He is never beating the allegations lmao, he's gonna be THAT softboy

But don't get me wrong, he can be a combination brutal and berserk when pissed off. He still has the same strength as his dads, mind you. Mostly Pepperman's brute and Peppino's street smarts

And their patience too.

Plants being plants man, they're really weird. Pepper is simultaneously mom, dad, uncle, and aunt lmao. Tho Pas calls him both mom and dad because it would be so fucking funny and he calls Peppino papi

He's very tender mostly cuz he did not inherit Pepperman's narcissism but he did inherit that kindness that Pepperman tries so hard to hide. And of course, Peppino's anxiety and impulses.

As a kid, Peppino is the brooding hen between him and Phil. He'd be the one who double checks triple checks if it's safe to let baby Pascal do his thing.

Pepperman on the other hand, he holds baby Pas like a rubber ball. Peppino tries not to get his kid killed because of how his wife holds it 😭

Oh also in a few of em, you can see little interactions with @beefy-the-stronk's Jude. They're simultaneously cousins and siblings. Also don't question it. Just imagine there's two Peppermans gbsjbgrksj

Also Gustavo is the godfather. I only had Pascal for three days but I would die for him

I kinda feel like too many people aren't looking at the whole picture with Guillermo and Nandor/his family this season?

Guillermo knows, to a certain extent, that it's hurting Nandor that he's avoiding him. He just can't not avoid him because of the whole 'secretly turned by another vampire and Nandor will have to kill him then himself for the sake of his bruised honor/ego' thing.

Guillermo is also hurting though. His attempt to take some agency for himself by actively pursuing something he's wanted since before he even met Nandor has massively backfired on him in every possible way he couldn't even begin to expect. He didn't know he'd have a Weird Transformation. He didn't know there was some taboo for having another vampire turn him as Nandor's familiar (and he's not actually Nandor's familiar anymore anyway, technically, they're all just dumb and forgot that fact). He, comparatively, only recently found out about the whole Van Helsing thing and that his family can't control themselves around vampires (though I feel like it probably will be different with their Memo, if we're being honest), so he very likely thought for most of his time waiting for Nandor to turn him that he'd still be able to see them occasionally and get/give closure over a longer period of time before he had to stop seeing them when it became obvious he wasn't aging like they were.

He does care about his mom, yall, did you miss him breaking down in the elevator or were you just distracted by him breaking the hand-rail? He's just been very preoccupied with a whole lot of drama (Which he complained about! He told Nandor how upset he was that the wedding and Baby Colin were keeping him too busy to see his family! The end of season 4 was days before the start of season 5.) and an extreme life change. He's an adult. That kind of shit happens when you're an adult (granted, his situation is significantly more fantastical given the whole vampires thing but still). Sometimes you get caught up in your adult life and you miss your mom's birthday. Sometimes you make a big life change that you think is what's best for you and it means you won't be able to be as close to your family. Yes. It's selfish of him - to an extent - but for fuck's sake you can't live your life for other people, even - especially, in some cases - if those people are your family. I'm kind of appalled at people saying that he's deserving to feel bad and rejected because he made a choice for himself. Do you think his mom is blaming him as harshly as some of you are? No! The first thing she asked him was 'are you happy with this change?' She cares about her son's happiness. He's not entirely in the right but fuck do yall know how to do anything but swing hard in the other direction? There's grey areas! All in the middle! Right there, look!!

And then on top of him already being extremely emotionally compromised from reckoning with having to leave his family behind, on top of the already 'emotionally difficult' avoiding Nandor for both of their sakes, he gets another big rejection in his own home from the people he cares most about. I don't know if Nandor noticed that his rejection hurt Guillermo. He's dumb but I really don't know if he's that dumb. He's been able to recognize in the past when he's hurt Guillermo so I don't see why he couldn't now. Are yall gonna blame Memo for feeling bad if Nandor decides to do something to try and win him back or cheer him up? Or if Nandor is upset/worried about having hurt Guillermo?

I don't really know where I'm going with this anymore lmao. My point is: Yes, Guillermo's choice is hurting people but it's also hurting him and he's been hurt for a while now and hurt people hurt people (which is why Nandor lashed out too!) so cut him a little bit of slack maybe? He didn't do anything to intentionally hurt anyone he just wanted to take some agency back for himself that he's been missing for like. Ten. Thirteen years or so now.

OCtober but with my Rain World OCs - Day 1: Introductions

WOO YEAH BABY THAT'S A LOTTA GUYS!!!!! I wanted to doodle all of my Main slugs and iterators and I forgot how many I had lmao. anyways closeups + more info under the cut but warning that its a lot lol

The Mediator (and Timmy) - they/them (and he/him) - The Mediator was a slugcat that lived near the Stranger's colony of scavs/Tollbooth and would frequently mediate disputes between them and other slugs. They had no interest in living with a colony and were perfectly happy with living by themself... until they met Timmy, a weird aquatic slugpup with an intense attachment to a red pearl. Unable to find his family/colony and recognizing that the area was no place to raise a pup, they go on a quest to find somewhere better for Timmy, which ends up being on Five Step Dance's can. They also befriend the Scribe too!!

The Stranger (or "pearl" in scav sign language) - it/she by iterators- A normal slugcat raised by the scavenger colony living in the ruins of Tollbooth's can. They deliver a message to Five Step Dance from Tollbooth informing her of Toll's collapse and how it was 100% Rapid Ascent's fault (not really but Toll's pretty biased). It's treated basically as another scav by scavengers, but other slugcats are unnerved by it and its mannerisms (hence the name). A good hunter who cares very deeply about its colony

The Scribe - they/them - purposed organism created by Rapid Ascent to find a specific pearl (the one Timmy has!). Their antenna and mane allow them to "read" pearls (its not true "reading" but more like. I forget what its called but when a image is represented by numbers and letters y'know?). They eventually revolt against Ascent though and go join The Mediator and Timmy's little group to live like a normal slugcat.

The Diver - it/its or she/her specifically by Butcher - genetically modified "slugcat", its really more eel lizard than slug though. Created by Butcher's Blade for no real purpose besides "can I make an organism that would instantly be an apex predator in a marine environment". It ended up loving The Diver though and now it treats her like a spoiled house cat. It'll rip and maim and try to eat anything that gets too close though so watch out

The Entertainer - any prns - another modified slugcat created by Butcher because it was bored. The Entertainer was supposed to be entertainment for Butcher, but it grew bored of him really quickly and kicked her out of its can. It's mostly only still alive through its good relationships with pretty much everything lmao

The Visitor - any prns - wild slugcat that can sorta sense/manipulate electricity. How? idk lol. They were made for a challenge a while back and were meant to resemble a green alien, but she's evolved since then.

The Friend - he/him - my very first rain world oc!! he's pretty much what the Stranger would become, being another slug raised by scavs.

The Killer - she/her - joke character based off a co-op session I did with my sibling that I got attached to lmao

Five Step Dance (FSD or "Dance") - she/it - (cw: brief mention of attempted suicide) - the group senior and oldest iterator in the entire region. all my iterators are supposed to represent one of the 5 Urges, and she represents number 1 (violence). She had a bad upbringing, with Ancients that didn't really care about her, leading to her can falling into disrepair and no one doing anything about it. She grew to hate her creators, going as far as to try and kill one of them using The Executioner (the modified centipede in the image with her). She felt immense guilt about this and tried to get a better grip of her feelings, which lasted until Tollbooth told it that Ascent (her closest friend) was lying to and manipulating her and was also responsible for Tollbooth's collapse. She had a mental breakdown, sent the Executioner after Ascent and killed him, tried to kill herself, failed, spent a bunch of time being angry and taking it out on anything she could, and then calmed down when the Mediator showed up at her can. Its very angsty and I care so so much about it.

Rapid Ascent (RA or "Ascent") - he/they - the 3rd iterator of this local group built, representative of the fifth urge (survival). Dance's communication technology had failed during his construction, but rather than trying to fix it the Ancients just gave him executive control over the entire group's communications, meaning any calls or messages to or from Dance would have to go through him. The Ancients also drilled the idea that any emotion was bad and that he was the only sensible one of the local group. This really fucked him up, and post-mass ascension he became paranoid and desperate for control and attention from people he respected (basically only Dance lol). He began blocking communications from other Iterators, subtly manipulating Dance and lying to it, ignoring Tollbooth's cries for help as it was collapsing. This came back to bite him in the ass though after Tollbooth sent a message by slugcat courier (the Stranger) to Dance exposing them. Their puppet died after Dance sicced the Executioner on them, electrocuted to death. Now, if their consciousness is also dead or if they're still sentient but unable to interact with the world? Nobody knows.

Tollbooth - it/its - the youngest iterator of the group, represents the 3rd urge (companionship). It took after Butcher pre-collapse, being rebellious and only doing the bare minimum for the Ancients. It wanted to be liked and accepted by its local group and didn't really care what its creators wanted. Post-mass ascension, it noticed that one of its legs of its can was damaged and could lead to a collapse. It went to Rapid Ascent for help, but was ignored and blocked from contacting others. It eventually collapsed, although it still had some consciousness afterwards unlike Moon. Many cycles into its collapse, a group of scavengers moved into the ruins of its can. It was able to communicate with the scavs, and they performed some "repairs" to make it more stable. The scav colony also designated it as a Tollbooth and good ally, and gave it clothing (a cloak made out of rain deer hide, a vulture mask fashioned after toll markers) and rudimentary "prosthetic legs" as a peace offering. Moved by the scavengers kindness, and still bitter about Ascent, it forsake its old name and devoted its remaining life to caring for the colony. However, before this it also made a pearl for Dance explaining its situation and casting blame on Rapid Ascent for its collapse, which would eventually lead to Ascent's death.

Butcher's Blade (BB or "Butcher") - it/its - the second iterator constructed, representative of the fourth urge (gluttony). I'll be real guys I've been writing for 2 hours and I'mm tired so uhh. It likes genetic modification and gives itself the rot :thumbsup:

This is all my personal takes and opinions, I guess also are canon in my “au”/spin off.

If there’s any you like from this you can take inspiration or adopt any of these if you like them I will not mind <3

But if you don’t like some of these (which is fine bc you don’t have to), please be kind, especially since some of these are based off/inspired by personal experiences as well as some of my Headmates experiences (that I got permission to use as headcanons 🙏🏻) I just hope people won’t find some of these upsetting? I don’t think they are upsetting but sometimes difference of opinions can be distressing so I understand 🫂

Anyways here goes:

Toast and Ghost have a queer platonic relationship (this one might be a hot take but also we need more rep like this Imo 🙏🏻)

The Level 25 demon from Spooker’s debut video is the one that turned Ghost into the Puppet. (And was probably the one who put those FNAF ghosts in Swift Taylor’s house lol)

Another lvl 25 demon one: I like to think it pulled “a Bipper” (Gravity Falls reference yes) and used Spooker’s body, that’s why you see Spooker as a “ghost” but then later on was normal/living again. Also why we see Spooker in the dimension where Housekeeper is trapped and later towards the end of the Puppet arc in the crypt where Ghost sees him. (Also watch the Haunted by Pennywise video 😭) I don’t think the demon lives in Spooker’s body like how people think demon!Jimmy does though.

So if you take into consideration that Johnny Toast and Gavin were probably not allowed to interact and Ghost being separated from his twin too, that makes Ghost and Toast two twinless twins that trauma bonded to each other which is probably why they have a lot of separation issues.

Colon is a witchcraft practitioner (reference to “Moving didn’t go as Johnny planned” video)

I also used to believe Colon is a retired undercover cop or detective but also like ACAB and I barely remember why I came up with that so idk if I’ll keep it but I definitely need more Colon headcanons

He first saw you when he was at his lowest. Physically that is.

Wandering after you had completed a day-mission, you were tired. Not exhausted, just tired. Which was normal.

You lifted yourself over a particularly large rock that blocked your path and you slid down it with ease.

You had entered the rocky plains.

One of the places that were greatly affected by the miracle. Thing is, this place was never inhabited by a city, village, or town. Before the miracle came the place was already prone to earthquakes and bloodthirsty creatures that didn't have a name along with miramon.

There wasn't a single flower, weed, tree, or anything of the sort. It was just...rock. Everywhere.

So it would be an understatement to say you were expecting you'd be attacked. You didn't even flinch as a hoard of miramon burst through the rubble up ahead and began to speed towards you with a deafening roar.

Your gaze adjusted and you realized that they weren't going towards you, but a figure further ahead.

They were collapsed on the ground, seemingly passed out or asleep.

You concluded that something happened that'd cause them to be knocked out-because even you wouldn't nap in this location.

It's not even comfortable.

You took off in a sprint, leaping over the person's body with one hand raised up, dark purple void circles forming. When your feet hit the ground, you slammed your hand down and spikes were shot at the miramon.

Brushing hair out of your eyes you raised your hand, cubes of red and black forming beside the recovering herd.

Then you snapped your fingers. Instantly the cubes smashed together, the miramon in-between. They twisted around each other while you raised your other hand causing invisible swords to slash the cubes.

Effectively killing the entire herd.

You see, the person you just saved was a certain red-head manipulator...and he was awake the entire time.

He fell head over heals. Metaphorically at least since he was still on the ground fatality injured.

You were powerful. The aura around you was so strong he could almost see it.

But even this aura of power didn't compete with your beauty.

The way you fought was so simple and elegant. The way you turned and crouched beside him, eyes worriedly looking into his own.

The sun was setting behind you, causing a halo to glow around your head.

You were so ethereal -and if this is how he was going to die? Fuck yeah.

The doctors told you that a lethal poison was injected into his body, and that if you hadn't saved him, well, he'd be dead. Like, non-revivable dead.

When he woke up, he asked to see you. Hoping that you weren't just a figment of his imagination due to the poison in his body.

Boy...

He was ecstatic when he saw you. Just as wonderful as you were when he passed out.

He grinned and introduced himself, holding out a hand to shake.

You cocked an eyebrow at the name, finally realizing who he was but in politeness introduced yourself as well.

You had not heard very much good about him in your life of work. And you weren't even part of an organization! You were, in fact, a wanderer.

So of course you'd be skeptical of Yamato! Not only does he give off a dangerous and mysterious aura, but you've heard of the things he's done.

So when he looks at you and gives you a small smile, you would've never expected for the words to come out would be: "Are you a god(ess)? I'd love to worship you."

Baffled, you tried to hide the fact that you were speechless. So you eyed the doctor in the corner of the room and asked, "Did he hit his head too?"

Even with this odd behavior you endured it and visited him throughout his short recovery period.

Sure he wasn't a good person but that did not mean you didn't care about his well-being.

Something he teased you about profusely.

Even after he was released and you two parted ways, you both still ended up running into each other.

Fate or coincidence?

It was Yamato.

An unlikely friendship formed because even after being still wary of his checkered past (and probably even present) you still found comfort in his company and his flirting that gradually got cheesier and cheesier.

He was so smitten he didn't even feel obsession or anything of the sort. He was just that in love that people would've believed he was someone else entirely.

As time went on he began to love who you were and not just your power or what you looked like.

He realized this as you both were stargazing on a cliff that was covered in beautiful white flowers that seemed to glow in the moonlight.

You were both staring up at the sky, or more like, you were looking up. He was looking at you.

You smiled and pointed out the constellations you knew, and as he listened to the sound of your voice that lured him in like a siren's song it became as clear as a bright blue cloudless sky.

You were perfect.

You were stunning. Whether you met the beauty standards or not. Every part of you he loved. Any 'flaws' (acne, scars, etc.) you had he adored.

Your personality he loved even more.

The mistakes you made? What mistakes?

Your laugh, your walk, your comments, your voice, just...everything.

You may not be perfect to someone else, but to him, you were beyond that.

At that moment, he wanted to kiss you. But he didn't. Oh, how he wished he did.

When you found out one day that he defended you when people at his work were talking shit about you for whatever reason-something clicked. He truly did care for you.

And as you gazed into those flirtatious dark eyes, you knew that his love for you was so real and genuine that you started to accept the love for him that had been festering in the pit of your stomach for a while now. That feeling that you were pushing away-was now beginning to fight back.

So you concluded that'd you share your feelings...soon.

However, for him, it was beginning to be a different story.

These feelings of genuine love and affection began to slowly evolve into something more sinister.

Possessiveness, and even yandere like behavior.

You were so powerful. He needs you. He needs your power. He needs your love. He needs you to look at him like he's the only one in the world.

Right so... been going crazy trying to catch up on the explosion of stuff peeps have been doing since the EPIC: The Musical Ocean Saga release, but. Got some downtime now, and I just wanted to post my reaction to listening to the songs, 'cause it was wild bro.

Fyi, this is all taking place at around 11:30 pm 24th Dec for me, as I'm an australian, so that would make it... uh, 8:30 am 24th Dec for americans I think? Idk, timezones are weird bro. Basically, I listened to the songs and then wrote down my immediate reactions at like 1 am lol.

And then another australian says they're out, and i'm like wait what but there's still like 16 hours till midnight in est, but i look up 'luck runs out jorgre rivera-herrans' on yt (cause it's a unique name) and scroll down and FUCK IT'S THERE!! THE STANDARD AUTO TOPIC VERSION!! IT'S NOT EVEN MIDNIGHT HERE YET?? (23:24 at the time of discovery. The vid says it was uploaded 3 hrs ago already)

The piano. I heard the first notes of piano and ohhhhh shiiiit it's actually happening!!!

i opened the door and called out to mum 'cause i was still in disbelief and she was still awake and i was like "mum... i think it's out" or SOMETHIG LIKE THAT IDK THE EXACT WORDS. I tapped on the link thingy to the album in the description and then i had the album RIGHT THERE HOLY MOTHER OF JESUS. IT'S STORM. IN THE FLESH. THERE'S A FUCKING TRUMPET-

I did my civic duty and informed (read: screamed in all caps) to everyone in the discord while mum listened to the first song 'cause she said she was interested and asked and i was so excited and gave her my headphones to listen to storm and then I took em back once I was done and now it's time to go dark. I said goodnight to mum and... pressed play.

Here's the highlights:

Storm: mixing is on another level bro. The vocals, the harmonies, the chorus, and hearing all those snippets without breaks in between, actually flowing and making sense and that ending beat is AHHH-

It went so fast. It's three min long how did it go by so fast what-

Luck Runs Out: the piano is godly. They actually changed the melody of the 'you could be caught off guard' part. My first thought after ooo? Was 'damn it no longer sounds like shut up and dance w/ me' lol.

I think this one changed the most from the snippets. Jsut the way they say lines, and stray words. I love it. The harmonies-

KYFC: the intro is that one atmospheric snippet he did with the flutes!! Aeolus sounds so sassy compared to the old snippets oof hell yes! There's a small instrumental interlude between the first chorus and the crew asking about the bag which is new.

THE PENELOPE PART. OH. MY. GOD. I LEGIT TEARED UP, I WAS CRYING, I'M CRYING JUST THINKING ABOUT IT AND TYPING THIS OUT IT WAS SO FUCKING HEARTBREAKING.

Trying to hold them in his arms? Time to be that father he always wanted to be?? His eyes and heart and soul is heavy??? I'm FUCKING CRYING-

I love that the 'Captain-!'s of the drowning men is more apparent here, and the silence afterwards... ooof you can hear Ody's horrified stuttered breaths and the way the lyric's changed to '43 left under your command' is soooo fucking good.

And then Ody's sudden defiance and the fucking burning in his eyes as he defies a god and escapes death- Yes. YES! It's so good-

... No wait it's over?? That's it??? WHYYYYY-

(Side note - the fact that there weren't any ads between vids is incredible and I thank the gods for this blessing.)

Ok, but all seriousness, that was incredible. I- I couldn't stop smiling. My face actually started hurting I was smiling so much. I was shaking the whole time, and I had to keep reminding myself to breathe, and- It was amazing. This was an amazing experience, and I'm so glad I could freak out to mum, and she was excited with me, and it was such a good surprise, like an actual chrismas gift from Jorge or some shit. I love it. I love this. Genuinely. It's an amazing thing he's given us and I thank him, sincerely. Thank you, Jorge, and everyone involved in creating this for people to enjoy and love. You should all be proud.

Here's where I once again tell everyone to read Gaelen Foley's Princess. What made me think about this book immediately is that it is a) extremely romantic imo and b) angsty but ALSO there's that same quality of like, the leads in their little bubble? Serafina, a princess, is nearly assassinated/kidnapped early in the book. The head of the guard/king's assassin Darius, who was raised by her parents and has known her since birth (but to be clear is not her adopted brother) decides to have her sent to a safe house, and she basically manipulates the situation so that, despite his reluctance, he has to go with her. Because she's in love with him and he's aware of this and vERY RESISTANT (until he's very much not lmao).

Anyway they spend these weeks in the safe house where they sort of give in to their feelings because the world outside doesn't matter.... though they don't have p in v sex because a) legit not a great idea for Darius to deflower the princess and risk getting her pregnant b) Gaelen Foley wanted to stretch THAT tension out a bit longer while still including tons of scenes where they get each other off and Darius like, writes official missives while using her ass back as a desk lmao.

S.M. LaViolette is another one I'd recommend for really romantic, angsty books. A lot of them also have the leads sort of like.. shut off from the world~ at points. Check out:

Selina. Beautiful heroine was supposed to marry well to save the family, but fails to do so and feels kind of lost after her kinda weird, awkward sister snags a duke and saves the family instead. To find a purpose lmao, she disguises herself as a housekeeper and takes a job at a growly marquess's home, only to discover that he's blind due to a fairly recent accident and is struggling. This one has a similar "is it love tho" conflict, too.

Aurelia. The next book in the same series, this one takes the heroine to this craggy island, where she takes a job drawing/painting the naturalist hero's specimens (not his PERSONAL specimens, but like, the ones he collects on his rich white guy adventures, which are kinda problematic because of the nature of what they are. Again, you have them sort of tucked away, it's romantic, it's angsty, it's fun.

Melissa and The Vicar. They literally meet when the heroine is on vacation; she's a jaded madam (he doesn't know that, though) and he's a virginal, lovely vicar. Romance enues!

Waking up with the Duke by Lorraine Heath, of course. This is the one where the hero's best friend/cousin asks him to get said best friend/cousin's wife pregnant, because the best friend/cousin has been impotent since an accident years ago (which the hero feels was his fault). The hero and heroine (who agrees but doesn't want to feel anything or even share a kiss) go off to his cottage for a month to FUCK NASTY in the hopes of her getting pregnant. Supremely romantic and angsty.

Seduce Me at Sunrise by Lisa Kleypas has the famous moment where Kev (Big, self-loathing, worried he'll kill the heroine who used to have serious health issues with his giant dick) finally gives up on resisting his love for Win (his childhood friend, in love with him, wants to do splits on his giant dick) and spirits her away to this cottage, where they fuck it out for multiple days. This is a great "romantic but angsty" book, one of my favorite Kleypases.

My Darling Duke by Stacy Reid. In this one, the heroine ends up on the hero's somewhat remote estate after she lies about being engaged to him, assuming nothing would ever come of it as he's been such a recluse for the past few years. Turns out he's a recluse because he has to use a wheelchair after suffering an accident. Verrry romantic, verrrry angsty, and I personally appreciated the way the sex was handled (the hero thinks he's impotent; this book is sometimes cited as "love heals his dick", but it's literally not that at all, one of his more progressive doctors is literally like "look dude it works you just can't get past your mental and emotional blocks and let yourself enjoy it).

**VEILGUARD SPOILERS**

Finished the game last night and had some thoughts. Overall I really enjoyed it! Would definitely recommend playing it but it's also fun to nitpick lol.

Did my standard first run where I go in as blind as possible playing a dwarven warrior. Went with the Warden background because duh and it was really solid, seems like they referenced it a lot throughout so interested to see how other origins will go. Don't think I missed too too much but I know for sure I accidentally missed at least one mission when I saved Treviso too early...anyways:

As usual dwarves got the short end of the stick (hah punny). 18 codex entries to the 43 elven ones and roughly half were just letters and stuff from Lace to her mom, hell one of them was just about the basics of the fucking chantry! Seriously?? I romanced Lace so I don't mind the letters much but damn yall couldn't do more with the deep roads or with Kal-Sharok? Entire chunks of lore breezed over like nothing, and having the thaig and the titan only being one off missions where you can't even go back to the area was the cherry on top. Disappointed but unsurprised.

Liked the companions, overall no big complaints. Up until the end where you find out he's dead the whole Varric always being in bed and not super upset about Bianca being destroyed thing definitely threw me off so that was a big surprise.

Taash was fun think I'll romance them next play through but acting like Qunari are weird about gender after very specifically having Bull say it's no big deal was a bizarre writing choice.

I liked it but Laces romance felt a little underwhelming, curious to how it'll stack up to the others.

Davrin/Assan and Lucanis/Spite were perfect no notes on them, keep up the good work lol.

Bellara felt kinda like they were trying to redo Merrill, which like...ok...then why not just bring back Merrill at that point? And the stuff with her brother felt very paint by numbers. She felt underwritten I guess idk.

Emmerich was a fun surprise since I went in blind I was expecting a standard evil/gloomy necromancer but he ended up being one of my favorite characters. Went the Lich route out of curiosity but haaaate that Fred got killed, for sure keeping him around next time.

Neve grew on me a little by the end but she was overall my least favorite. Felt like someone's OC getting shoehorned in with a bunch of cannon characters. Like the entire first half of the game she and other companions will allude to cases and interesting sounding stories but never expound on them. Every time Rook talks to her she's like "oh it's a long story, maybe I'll tell you some day 😏" then proceeds to never tell it lmao. Maybe it's alluding to comics or something I haven't seen but again, coming in blind it just made her a very boring 2D character outside of the eventual romance with Lucanis which I liked a lot.

Gameplay reminded me a lot of ME3 but with swords. Pretty low bar but as far as a dragon age game goes I'd argue it was easily the best combat in the series.

Leveling system was fine, nothing inspiring. Not the biggest fan of the companion leveling but being able to respec easily with no cost balanced it out.

Inventory was great, massive improvement over all the prior games. I really liked how stuff levels itself up and being able to change appearances easily and early was awesome. Wish you could do a little more with companion armor but that's not really a big deal and they all had decently broad options.

Was worried about only having 2 party members but it worked pretty well I thought. Between that and the bond system it does a good job encouraging swapping them out more. Felt like a lot more ambient dialog too which was a good touch.

Crows retconning into basically a mob family was...a choice. I kind of get it though and imo you can headcannon them being so different as chalked up to Zev having come in and made big changes over the years. Is what it is.

Was initially kinda pissed about the loss of prior choices but having played it now I think they did ok. Bringing the inquisitor in and getting their letters still made it feel like those choices mattered. And like in game it's been years and it all happened in other countries, it makes sense for a lot of that to be old news that most people don't discuss especially given the drama of their own current events. Would have still been nice to get a few codex entries at least.

Bringing Morrigan back felt like a bad choice to me. She's my cannon origins romance and they changed her up a bit too much post inquisition. Like where is Kieren? Where is the HoF? She doesn't mention them and nobody asks?? Just weird. Hot take but her taking Mythal's knowledge made perfect sense for her character, she always sought knowledge like that and her main objection with Flemmeth was that she would be taken over. So now she gets the knowledge and also keeps her mind, classic Morrigan work around imo.

Didn't like the direction they went with the Antaam. Had potential but making them all faceless with super deep voices felt overly dehumanizing. And them going in with elven gods made zero sense at all, like their leadership doing it secretly sure but there at the end why the hell would those footsoldiers follow them like that when they are so distrustful of magic?

Loooooved the Wardens but what's with the changes to the blight? My headcannon is the gods have made it more directed so that's why it's not infecting people so indiscriminately. But based on prior knowledge literally every non Warden character and most npc should be dead or darkspawn waaay before the end of the game. Doesn't feel like they explained it very well. Digging the new darkspawn look though, best appearance change since Origins.

Dorian, Isabella, and Solas felt very in character, no big notes on them.

Hawke not being mentioned unfortunately makes sense to me. They were pretty important 20 years ago in one city on the other side of the continent. Think of it like this, without looking it up who was the mayor of the next city over from you in 2004? They were important but why would you bring them up now decades later to people who have no way of knowing them, even if you were buds with them back then. Varric is the only one who might but he's kinda dead the entire game so again makes sense you don't hear about Hawke

Kal-Sharok being set up as this mysterious, secluded, hyper competent thaig where they likely formed their own society of impromptu Wardens cut off from Thedas for hundreds of years was fascinating. They expounded on this precisely not at all....bro why. EVERY thaig gone but them and traditional Orzammar and they only survived because they changed! Seemingly still in touch with Titans, was this only since Valta connected or sooner?? Such a cool story and they didn't do shit with it? After 10 years!? Losing my mind dude they just refuse to do anything with this lore and it's so fucking frustrating.

Aaaaanywho starting a second playthrough. Going with a rouge elf shadow dragon, gonna romance Taash. Probably do a qunari mage next playthrough but we'll see. Curious to see anyone else's thoughts but mostly this is to vent mine.

Summary: Lup goes to a cave and doesn't die. What happens next?

Lup doesn't remember what she was doing before she woke up in a strange bed. All she knows is what the healer told her; she came stumbling out of the forest pale, shaking, and bleeding from a slash in her back. He said she was lucky, the poison was cheap and therefore slow to kill her. There are plenty of poisons out there that would've killed her in minutes. Seconds, even. 

She also knows that when she woke up, she had the migraine of the century, and a looming feeling of wrongness. She chalked it up to the mysterious poison incident, because nothing else in her life is different. Ever since she left her aunt's house as a kid, all she's done is travel on her own. 

She didn't stay at the healer's for long, just enough to get her strength back. She collected her belongings, which weren't much, just the clothes she was wearing, a red robe with a (now patched) slash on the back, an umbrella, and a pack of simple travelling supplies. She struck back out on her own, going nowhere, taking jobs where she could find them. It was maybe two or three years later when she met Barry. He was a little bit of an asshole and a terrible fighter, but Lup was a little bit of an asshole back and a wizard in progress so they decided to stick together. 

It didn't take long for her to fall in love with him. Once they got past their respective prickly outsides, she fell hard and she fell fast. It scared the absolute shit out of her, cause she'd never let anyone in like she let Barry in, but it was so easy with him. When it was just the two of them, he had this gentleness to him that made her want to tell him all her secrets. 

Barry, evidently, felt same, seeing as their confessions happened at the same time in a chaotic dance of talking over each other, not quite hearing what the other said, then almost not believing it when they did. It all ended with a kiss that felt like they'd done it a billion times before and made some of that wrongness in her core go away. 

That night, they lie in bed together, not for the first time, but they no longer had to worry about if they'd wake up too close. They face each other, and Barry had a hand on Lup's cheek, admiring her. He says, "you know how I've been sent on a quest by my own voice in that weird coin?" 

"Yeah, you're looking for someone. What about it?" 

"It always said that I'd know who it was when I found them. That there's a hole in my chest only they can fill." He brushes his thumb over her cheek, and she could just get lost in his eyes when they meet hers. "I think it's you," he says quietly. "I don't know what it is, but something inside me changed when we met. Does that sound insane?" 

She puts her hand over his and says, "no. I had the exact same thing. For me… there's still something wrong, I'm sure of it. I mean, fuck, I got stabbed and poisoned and I don't even remember it! But with you… some of that bad feeling went away. And it hasn't come back." 

Barry smiles and says, "Two swiss cheese brains-" 

"-make one whole brain," Lup finishes.

so i was thinking about astarion finding the protection ward rings and a journal from the original caster and how he was going to succumb to wounds his lover had recieved. he and ba'anra kinda laugh about how it seems like a stupid thing to do, but astarion ends up casting the ward on ba'anra anyway. cue like a week later or something and ba'anra's chronic back pain flares up for the first time since their adventure began

it kinda starts out slow and gets progressively worse over the course of the day until finally theyre setting up camp and astarion is like "yo my back is killing me which is weird af cause its never happened before" and immediately ba'anra twigs that he's getting her chronic pain. so she stands in front of him and is like "here love, let me fix your back pain" and he's mostly confused cause she isnt a healer. she gently grabs his hands and slides the ring off his finger, breaking the ward

astarion's back immediately stops hurting and he just stares at her for a few moments before he's like "okay that explains my pain, but why the hells does your back hurt?"

and ba'anra is just like this isnt even as bad as it gets lmao

and then astarion has a newfound admiration for her bc damn is her pain tolerance high and she sometimes just deals with random back pain without ever complaining

bianca’s the main character. she thinks ghosts and supernatural stuff are all complete bullshit, but she is a bored teenager with enough determination and spite that when kids start going missing, she decides she has to be the one to get to the bottom of it. also she’s bi + ace :)

lillian’s her best friend slash partner in crime slash platonic soulmate. she’s the believer to bianca’s skeptic, but she would actually kill a man to see a ghost. uh, no pun intended. she’s witty and sarcastic, but really does love her friends, even if she doesn’t show it. on top of being the number one ghost stan, she’s also the head of the newspaper club, and she’s always on the lookout for a scoop, so this is the perfect opportunity for her. she’s trans and a lesbian!!

taylor’s the other part of this detective trio but not the third friend of one thank you very much. he’s a believer, too, but more in the way that he thinks a ghost could kill him, so he’s terrified of them. he has issues with emotion, and he argues with lillian a lot, but he really is a sweetheart. when his crush makes a dare to go down to the supposedly-haunted boiler room and never returns, he pushes aside his paranormal fears and cracks down on the case. he’s trans + bi!

elijah’s a soccer star and one of the only decent popular kids… and also taylor’s crush. he’s a closet theatre nerd, too, but despite the rumors the theatre is haunted he’s a skeptic. not that that stops him from pretending to be a believer - which ends up being the thing that throws the entire school into chaos, anyway, since he’s impulsive and bold enough to risk a bet to go into the haunted boiler room, but never ends up returning. fucking loser (i love him). he’s gay!

dani’s the president of the environmental club and dear god just needs a break. she’s caring, the single braincell of the group, and nearly always tired from the ongoing shenanigans, but also always ready to lend a hand. she’s not exactly a believer, though not exactly a skeptic, either, believing that there’s no real proof either way, and she doesn’t exactly have time to think about ghosts, anyway. she’s an aroace icon!!

sam’s the school’s resident cryptid. it’s not that he isn’t there, he just lurks in the back, showing up places he probably shouldn’t be, and somehow always seems to know things. things he… shouldn’t know, really. no one knows how he does. he has a dry sense of humor - and speaking in general, really - that scares people off until you get to know him better. he’s bi!

hailey’s… not in any of these quotes and honestly not overall super important to the story (as of now), but she’s the girl’s swim team captain and student council vice president and definitely has her apples in way too many baskets. she’s a literal ray of sunshine, the absolute sweetest person you’ll ever meet, and the holder of the biggest case of comphet this world has ever seen. she’s a lesbian, if that isn’t clear enough.

2. Do the other companions have special comments or reactions upon recruiting your Tav?

ohh i think most of the companions would be wary of Violante at first!! using this chance to test my hand at each of their voices hehe

Shadowheart: quite the enigma our new companion, isn't she? i must say i'm intrigued and i'm not sure i mean that as a compliment. Regardless, i will keep an eye on her, i'd hate to wake up with a knife in my back.

Wyll: There's something off about our new ally, i can't quite tell but we must welcome all the help we can get. Let's just hope she doesn't turn against us.

Lae'zel: Violante is skilled in combat. and knows how to keep quiet -- a much needed talent around our camp.

Karlach: Did you notice? Violante didn't smile once since she came at our camp...hells maybe i didn't even see her blink. did you see her blink yet?

Gale: our recent ally appears to be...quite cunning. i suppose it must be an essential ability when consorting with powerful entities like she does. It makes her twice as dangerous, keep your wits sharp around her.

Astarion: what a merry little addition to our camp. Violante is just as joyful as a graveyard at midnight...you have quite the keen eye to pick up oddities left to the side of the road, don't you?

14. How does Tav react to the PC becoming a mind flayer? Can they offer to become one themselves? Does their reaction change if they’re romanced?

Violante doesn't get it lmao. she struggles to see why anyone would willingly sacrifice everything to become a mind flayer, she's basically the "well..can't someone else do it?". but at the end of the day she's just glad she's not the one to have to turn. in the case of romance Violante will voice her disbelief loud and clear -- "would you give up us for the rest of the world?", she doesn't welcome the change and is scared of it and of what will mean for the relationship. i don't think she would leave the PC if the love is real and deep but she does need some time to process it

5. Does the romance have different branching paths, or just one route to take?

you can get 2 routes based on the choices the PC makes during her companion quest. in the "bad ending" where Violante gets to resurrect Ruven you basically end up in a weird love triangle, Violante claims to love the PC more than anything, more than Ruven but you need to come to terms with the fact that he is half of her own soul, which in a way basically says that you are less valued than Ruven, he's just too important for her. It's not healthy at all and the relationship easily slips into manipulation but when she says she's devoted to the PC she means it, devoted to the point of death even.

in the "good ending" you can get 3 more paths. either you help her heal and move on from the past which leads to Violante discovering what is true, healthy love for the first time in her life or, if you didn't support her enough through her journey to find her own stability and maybe even encouraged her more obsessive traits she will either end her life leaving the PC alone for she "can't bear a life like mine a second longer" or she becomes obsessed with the PC like she was with Ruven (toxic, codependent, would kill for situationship). there are so many ways the romance route could go wrong with her sadly jsdfjsdk she genuinely needs someone to love her the right way to not fall back into old habits or let her deteriorating mental health crush her

To this day I’m still not sure how I feel about Travis becoming a dad. From what we can see in the games he tries to be there for his kids and always asks about them (like in NM3) but it’s still a very jarring decision in my opinion. Sylvia settling down with Travis of all people? Really? Travis agreeing to be a dad when (at least in MH2, we do see him mature a lot in TSA) he’s been a man child? Like??? Idk maybe I’m just a hater, but it’s still shocking to me.

LOL, I get where you are coming from. It strikes me as a bit weird too, especially on Sylvia's end when it comes to them becoming parents. I've come to accept it as smth that happened. I think it would've been easier to digest if it was NMH1 to TSA and a longer time skip had occurred? It really feels like that thing they do at the end of a manga where the MC and his love interest HAVE to have kids LOL. I do think Sylvia loved Travis, at least more than she loved Henry (which she didn't love him at all LMAO). If this was nmh1 Sylvia and Travis, I could see her wanting to run away and maybe finally settle down with someone now that she's been able to actually feel love for once in her life (from what Kill or be Killed lyrics say). Maybe not immediately, but somewhere in this timeline they could've finally met up again and THEN had kids.

Like, I guess I can see why by the end of NMH2 why this happens due to UAA allegedly being shut down by Travis or smth (he definitely didn't as we see in NMH3). With no more scams to run, I could guess see her deciding to settle with Travis since again this is apparently the only person she's felt genuine love for.
