#so many female characters fall short just because kodaka remembered they were female when writing them #hes capable of writing good female characters (kyoko for example). its just that to write them well he has to ignore the fact that they are #female and write them the same way he’d write them if they were male #which is good. thats fine. but when he tries to make womanhood an essential part of a character then it ends up a MESS #because hes so insistent on the fetishization #and also men will never understand unless they put in the effort to talk to women and have open conversations #which is waaaayyyy too uncomfortable for them. to face their wrongdoings.#he tries to depict womanhood but only as much of it as hes comfortable with thinking about. which is basically nothing at all.#hiyoko saionji #mikan tsumiki #kotoko utsugi #akane owari #ko’s danganronpa ramblings
