Another beautiful thing abt rui+tsukasa being in 3-C together is that like… Rui made friends with the pandemonium kids but that was near the tail end of the school year. But before that Rui has never been in a class with a friend and experienced the joys of working on a school project with a friend and making the work fun, or passing notes back and forth, or trying to quietly whisper to your friend so the teacher doesn’t call you out, or any other mundane little moments that are typical to the school experience. And now he finally gets to do all of that.

This is of course to the detriment of tsukasa “I am a model student (he is not, he just lacks self awareness)” tenma who just wants to pay attention in class. I think Rui is A Nuisance towards him for the first week of classes and Tsukasa is like “knock it off 😑” and Rui’s like “sorry I was just excited I’ve never had a close friend in the same class before 😌” & tsukasa immediately folds. Lets him get away with any minimal disruption with only a token protest about not disrupting class. Reciprocates all of the note passing & such.
