#which is proof that he's cared about imps other than Blitz before

One thing I think people tend to forget is that, due to how short the episodes are and how few there have been despite the large time frame that's been covered so far, we know very little about the lives of any of the characters. Including Blitz, who is the main character. We've only seen a handful of interactions between Stolas and Blitz and even fewer solo scenes regarding how they feel about their relationship, and they're all important because they set up future plot points, but they're not in depth and thus are functionally taken out of context. We can only speculate about stuff like some of the memory fragments in All 2 U or the exact content of the many phone calls between Blitz and Stolas, using deductive reasoning to figure out what makes the most sense given the clues we have.

There's so much that the writers are forced to only drop hints and subtext about, because they simply do not have the time to explore things more if they don't want to drag the show out forever, so people who don't pay close enough attention or who don't want to acknowledge the romantic feelings between Blitz and Stolas end up saying that things went too fast. It's like, guys, you know they've been interacting for over 20 months, right? Surely you can't think the few minutes of them we've seen on screen is indicative of their entire relationship, right??? It only seems fast now because it was really important to show the rapid paradigm shift that happened as a result of the crystal exchange.

And while we're at it, this is what bothers me so much when people say Stolas probably doesn't know Moxxie and Millie's names. Stolas has, by Blitz's own admission in Oops, been interacting with him on social media and calling Blitz on the regular to ask about his day for about a year and a half, if we don't count the months where they didn't talk after Ozzie's. And note that even though this is part of his rant about how Stolas is only using him for sex, Blitz doesn't mention phone sex, he only says that Stolas calls to ask about his day - meaning that they must actually end up talking about what Blitz has been up to fairly often. When put into that context, do you honestly think that Blitz has somehow never once mentioned Moxxie and Millie by name?

Moxxie, Millie, and especially Loona are very important to Blitz and Stolas would undoubtedly remember their names for that reason alone, but they're also a huge part of his everyday life so they're gonna come up in conversation pretty often, both on social media and anytime Blitz indulged Stolas and talked about his day. Blitz has probably ranted about something Moxxie did fairly often during his phone calls with Stolas, and where Moxxie is mentioned so too will Millie inevitably be brought up. And you know Blitz wouldn't miss an opportunity to gush about how perfect and amazing Loona is. All of which we can infer due to the fact that Blitz does all of those things many times in a variety of settings over the course of the series.

The assumption that he doesn't know their names is ultimately based solely on the belief that, because Stolas has certain unconscious racial and class biases, he must not care about any imp other than Blitz, to the point where he'd have had to intentionally ignore and forget every mention of their names to not know them by this point. Stolas has a lot of shit he needs to unlearn and has said/done a number of harmful, demeaning things to imps (including to Moxxie and Millie in Loo Loo Land), but this is not one of them.

I'm just going to defend Blitz but not his actions. More like, his beliefs are deep but wrong, and that's why he couldn't believe Stolas at face value.

I can't stop thinking that Blitz grew avoidant from the moment he realized Stolas could get hurt. Before that, he wasn't answering texts already but they were still fucking (Stolas was happy to share the details with Striker). I think Blitz got scared of losing him, for real. As an imp it's easy to assume Stolas, from the great Goetia family, is powerful and unkillable. Being scared for someone like Stolas wouldn't be easy on Blitz.

Loona is his daughter/pet so he chose to care, he wants to. Even when she rejects him, he still owns her and she has nowhere else to go. He cares for her but it doesn't matter that she loves him back, honestly, she'll stay by his side anyway. Part of it is because they both have similar trauma. There are so many other places and so many people Stolas can go to, because he's royalty. Blitz, being an imp, cannot ignore his social status because he's being countlessly belittled because of it. The only power he knows he can have on people like Stolas is seduction. Stolas specifically is bound to him through this full moon deal: good sex = good business. They have a contract, just like Blitz has over Loona.

The funniest line I've ever heard in this show is also pretty sad: "My dick is goood, but not that good." Blitz knows it is the only power he has over Stolas, so much that the guy is getting a divorce and is ruining his reputation for it (but not his daughter, he will die for her just like Blitz would die for Loona). Blitz sees Stolas as the rich kid who got addicted to sex with lower stations and has the luxury to be ruined by this secret. He's eccentric and naive like that. Blitz is nothing more than a whore here, and it would be dangerous to think he's anything more. His talk with Fizz in the cage is the best example of that. Blitz himself doesn't believe a word that he's saying. Fizz uses sarcasm and Blitz, who's sassy, isn't stupid and surely knows Fizz's way of communication, should know what he truly means. Instead, he uses this "that's your proof" as an argument in the "yes, he's playing with you" tab.

Stolas' behaviour confuses the shit out of him. But this, we see only in season 2. He wasn't confused in season 1. He rolled with it. It was simple and easy. When Moxxie and he are high and working out their issues, Stolas is on the throne, blinding, charming, powerful. As Blitz climbs the metaphorical social stairs, all the shit he has on him disappears and he isn't a clown anymore, he is who he wants to be. Yes, Stolas has him in a chokehold but he doesn't seem to mind at all, and Stolas made it so clear since day 1 that he was supporting his dreams, his work, that I do believe that it helped Blitz to be believed in once in his life. Stolas pulls him at his level. (And even in this last scene, Stolas gets in his knees and gets rid of his hat so they are at the same level when he says he wants him to stay. They manage to be equals... But for Blitz, he only managed to be there, to that level, because of sex!)

They had a good thing going on. But they got a "date", got publicly shamed in said date and most of all Stolas looked ashamed of him. That's reality slapping him in the face: in the end, he's only an imp, a whore, and he cannot realistically be anything else for Stolas. They are not equals. When Stolas gets hurt, he isn't as highly. They both roleplayed it before, the protector and the prince being saved. Blitz takes his job seriously but he believes that Stolas' only mortal enemy is his own naivety. That's a real life roleplay there, not necessarily sexual, and that's why it could be confusing. Under-negociated kinks often are, to be honest.

I don't think Blitz is happy to get the Asmodeus Crystal. He is confused as hell. He doesn't know where Stolas is going for because, if there is no contract then why the fuck would Stolas keep seeing him? That's the only power the guy has on Blitz and he is willing to lose it? The only word he hears and understands is want. Again, Stolas did his best and his body language was saying it all, it's on Blitz. But feelings weren't an option until Stolas walked out of the room!

If Stolas wanted him here even with no contract bounding them, then EXCUSE ME, Blitz, with little time and little information he understood from what just happened, said yes, I'll stay. But Stolas meant feelings, and then, the only emotion left for Blitz to feel was loss and not good enough.

Blitz said his truth but he didn't say it with the right emotion. He was saying it as if he already lost Stolas (the guy just tore their contract apart) and was now nothing more than an imp in front of a Hell lord. The emotion talking made it so he couldn't say it in a way that would have been healthy. What he meant was,

"I'm scared not to be good enough! Why would you want me for who I am when everyone else asks for a transactional bond? Why would you be different? When you could have everything in the world, everyone you want? The only reality when you kneel in front of me is the one when we're fucking."

The ideas were there but he expected to have a heated argument, not to make Stolas fucking cry. He was so obsessed with the fact he was an imp who just got fired that he couldn't even phantom that Stolas pointedly suffered from their contract, what this deal made of him. At this point, he still doesn't understand what Stolas wants. He understands what Stolas doesn't want though; but not the reasons why.

All he needed was time to align his worldview to Stolas. He needed time to assess his loss and gain. He needed time to climb back the stairs he just got pushed in. He needed time to feel as Stolas' equal again, but not in a sexual context.

Stolas and Blitz aren't made from the same mold. They try to communicate but they still have a world of differences between them. This relationship needs work and understanding. They both saw the situation through fear lens. I bet if Blitz actually saves Stolas from danger in the future, he'll feel more worthy.

I imagine Blitz, all proud and cocky because he managed to save Stolas' life so the guy is indebted to him. That would be a new contract haha. Playful real life roleplay again "I saved your life so the least you can do is living it by my side until your dying day."

I wanted to share thoughts and analysis on Full Moon (the last scene, at least).

I'll start with saying at the end of the day, I'm gonna be partial to Stolas in this since Blitzø hurt him pretty bad, but I will defend them both. Because the situation is complicated, and Blitzø is also hurting.

Blitzø obviously did and said extremely hurtful things, but I want to break down his actions since he's the one who's not upfront with how he feels.

I'll start at when Stolas asked for the grimoire back.

Blitzø is confused and unhappy about the situation. He's clearly uneasy with how Stolas is acting. Understandable. However, he doesn't exactly handle the situation in the best way.

Blitzø is scared to lose the book, obviously, but I think it becomes pretty clear that it's not the book that is his main worry, but Stolas. Sure, it's a big part of the initial panic but I feel like his reaction would've been more angry than scared and worried if that was the main thing.

The second thing he does after Stolas tells him to hand it back is offer to fuck him. Telling him how good it'll be. How he doesn't disappoint. Because that's how he deals with this stuff. Seduction to get what he wants (like he did the night he stole the book). Because he thinks that's what Stolas wants. Because if he fucks him real good, then Stolas will still want him here. But Stolas makes it clear that sex isn't want he's after.

Once Blitzø has the stone, that scared and upset feeling goes away. He's genuinely happy and thankful that Stolas did such a kind and considerate thing. At least for a moment.

When Stolas tells him that they are no longer bound to an agreement, he starts to panic. He's worried that he's not good enough. He's scared that Stolas is done with him. He says he can do better. You can hear the desperation in his voice.

Stolas assures him that he's not doing anything wrong and thats not why he was doing this. That he was doing it because wanted him to be able to make his own choice to stay. To make it right and fair. Because he cares so deeply for him.

I'm very happy at how upfront he was about it all. He told him he was under no obligation to stay, and you can see the fear in Blitzø's eyes when he says this. He thinks Stolas doesnt want him around anymore. But Stolas almost immediately clarified that he still wanted him to stay.

And you can see it on Blitzø's face how much Stolas's words do mean. You can see it's something he wants to hear, his expression goes so soft. He so desperately wants it to be true but absolutely refuses to believe that it is.

So he turns it back to what he's comfortable with. The thing he admittedly focuses on when he feels like he's getting in his own head. Sex.

Obviously Stolas must be trying to roleplay, because how could he have feelings like that toward him? That must be it. He's so in denial of the reality of it, he will not allow himself to see it.

Until it hurts Stolas. Until Stolas makes it very clear that he was being serious and honest.

What Blitzø did is awful and hurtful. It seems almost mocking knowing that what he's 'roleplaying' is real to Stolas. The "I love you" is especially devastating. He most definitely was not trying to hurt Stolas here. You can see on his face that he's unsure in what he's doing when he starts to talk. And when Stolas stops him, you can see the disappointment and sadness as realized he did the wrong thing.

But he was convincing himself that what Stolas said wasn't true. Because any thought otherwise seems impossible to him.

He's wrong, though. And I completely understand why Stolas kind of just shut down here. That's like a knife to the heart.

And Stolas explains why. Explains that even though he's wanted him for so long, for Blitzø to only see sex in what he says and does was pretty telling to how he viewed their relationship. And that crushed him.

The moment Blitzø realizes that he was serious, his whole view shifts. He gets upset. Very upset.

The one thing I will wholeheartedly stand by Blitzø saying is when he asks if he could give him a fucking minute (Now I disagree with what follows, but I'll get back to that.). Stolas did drop kind of a big thing on him, something that shattered everything he had told himself. And then walked away, which isn't exactly fair.

Again, I don't fault Stolas for walking off, not wanting to hear more, saying he had his answer. Blitzø was unintentionally hurtful, and he's upset and devastated. But at the same time, he really didn't give Blitzø any time to process what was happening and what he was telling him.

He probably didn't think he needed to because interpreting what Blitzø did at face value would be exactly how he interpreted it. And he's not fully wrong that Blitzø sees things as sexual. He purposely sees them that way. But what happened shouldn't be taken at face value. Though Stolas had no way of knowing that.

Now back to what follows that. He says some pretty shit things to Stolas. He's upset and lashes out at him.

The things he says aren't fair nor are they correct. He's projecting his issues with royals in general onto Stolas. He has a dislike for nobility, one that stems from feeling like they step on the little people and don't care about how their 'lessers' feel. That they don't give a shit about imps like himself. The image he's built of Stolas is completely warped by his view on royalty. Fizz has even called him out on it ("It sounds like you just hate him for being a prince").

One of the things that stood out was his line about how he can't treat him like one of his imp butlers and just dismiss him away. He feels like Stolas is throwing him away. Stolas is very clearly leaving because he's hurt, but Blitzø takes it as a kind of rejection. (Like at Ozzie's, he can't see clearly what's going on.)

As I mentioned before, I think the main fault Stolas's has in this situation is not giving Blitzø any time to process and understand everything that was currently happening. He shouldn't have sent him away. He should've at least listened to what Blitzø was trying to say.

Because Blitzø was trying to apologize. Once he saw how much his words affected Stolas, saw him crying because of the things he did and said, he realized he fucked up. And honestly, he needed to see that. He needed to know that his actions and words can and do hurt Stolas.

But I don't blame Stolas for teleporting him away, even though I think he was wrong in doing so. Blitzø basically twisted the knife that had already pierced his heart. It broke him. Hearing how lowly Blitzø (incorrectly and through his own convincing of himself) thought of him shattered him. Because how could a relationship be any kind of possible if the other person thinks you're shitty and awful? And to hear that from someone you respect and care so deeply for is so incredibly heartbreaking.

It's why I'm on Stolas's side (not that there even needs to be sides). He was trying to do the right thing. He was being kind and caring. He didn't really do anything wrong, but still got so deeply hurt.

But I can't really blame Blitzø, even though I think he's in the wrong here. Even though he caused a lot of pain to someone who only wanted good for them both. He's hurting too. He's a very broken person with a lot of issues he hasn't worked through. His actions and words were awful and mean. But he's struggling. This isn't an easy situation for him. He couldn't even comprehend someone loving him because he hates himself so much.

It's why he lied to himself about Stolas. Because how can that be true? And because you can't get hurt if you don't actually get close to someone. If you pretend that it's nothing and doesn't matter, it can't hurt you when it inevitably falls apart.

But they aren't true, the things he's been telling himself. And that sends him reeling. The realization come crashing down, and feelings just come pouring out.

The situation is messy and complicated. And I feel for them both.

Stolas can’t recall a time where “love” wasn’t synonymous with “pain” for him.

With Blitzo, it’s not love. So, there’s no pain. Stolas doesn’t let there be pain, at least not emotionally, the physical pain is something he quite enjoys. When Blitzo leaves after their monthly night together, he doesn’t allow himself to feel pain, only anticipation of the next time. He likes that there’s always a next time, even though that’s because of his active incentive more than anything else. But that’s alright, he doesn’t want Blitzo to come see him without an incentive. He deserves favors in turn for what he’s giving Stolas.

-Stolas angst!!!! The angst really is delicious in this one, with just as nice of a happy ending. Blitz is confident about the relationship, which is Wonderful to read and the "I know where this is going" segment had me in TEARS.

So Stolas is objectively. Objectively. Attractive. Kinda soft-looking, sometimes. Pretty. Whatever. Fuckin’ whatever. That’s always been a thing. Blitzo knew that, Stolas definitely knew that-- whatever.

"This is not," Blitzo thinks, sounding a little bit desperate even to himself, "some sort of revelation."

His flicks of the lighter get a little more unstable, a little more frustrated.

A clawed hand reaches over and takes hold of the lighter, lighting Blitzo’s cigarette with practiced ease, as if he’d done the same thing a thousand times before (He has, Blitzo realizes).

“Silly Blitzy,” he giggles quietly, giving Blitzo a soft pat on the head before curling up beside him, stretching one last time before closing his eyes to sleep.

Blitzo feels warm.

"This," Blitzo tells himself, and it sounds like a command, "will not be a problem."

Love in the bones and sinews of this curse by me

Five times Stolas and Blitz needed the grimoire to break a curse + one time they didn't.

-self explanatory. I tried to make it as funny as possible, everyone bickers a lot and Blitz brings Stolas flowers and gifts, what more could you need?

Life is a curse (love makes it worse) by me

"Alright!" Blitz says, clapping his hands together, "Weapons out, and-"

Half pull out some gun or the other, but half just look at him blankly. Blitz wishes for death.

"Save me from this family," He mutters under his breath, "Okay. Take these then." He passes out the few weapons he'd brought along with him and doesn't ask if they know how to use them because if he hears a no, he's giving up and going back home. "Stick close and talk loudly so the others can hear us. Let's go."

They move out, Blitz taking the lead and the rest forming a circle close behind him, starting up a loud conversation about the neighbour's garden. It gives him enough time to wonder exactly what the fuck he's doing here, in a nightmare world with a bunch of pretentious snobs, searching for his stupid Ars Goetia boyfriend, instead of sleeping in his nice lumpy bed back at home.

-a sequel to the previous fic!!! I had to write some Octavia and Blitz bonding, and accidentally added in a bunch of teenage imps who work for Stolas who imprint on Blitz immediately. And there's Eldritch Stolas, protective boyfriends and found family!!! The whole shebang!!!

This ended up being Much longer than I'd expected, but genuinely every fic up there is really good, go check em out!!!!
