Thinking about the Fate-unravelling incantation once again.
Moros spoke of how he was not only the Fates' brother but also their guardian, and that they raised him under their watch. He was privy to their weavings, as the sole emissary to this trio of all-powerful, reclusive deities whose threads bind even the gods.
So, surely, he was there when Nyx met with the Fates to bring Zagreus back to life? We know that quite a lot of Nyx's children are old old—Thanatos has known Megaera much longer than Zagreus has ever been alive, yet he is implied to be one of the younger or at least middle children—so it's not entirely out of the question that Moros is already grown up enough to work with and for the Fates.
Moros knew of the price and consequences of defying the Fates' weavings. Of which their Mother, the Primordial Night herself, refuses to speak about even to this day, whatever terrible things it cost her or involved. She doesn't even allow any discussion about the Fates themselves, either. It was THAT bad and that's all we need to know.
It speaks volumes of how dire the present situation is, and how much Moros wants to assist Melinoë's task—not just help it, but make it possible in the first place (re: her bloodline curse)—that he straight up defies the top brass of the celestial bureaucracy by doing the godly equivalent of a younger sibling who overheard his older siblings had put some leftovers in the fridge to eat later, then went and stole the food for himself when they left the house.
Oh Moros, you've got it bad. At least you don't officially condone Mel's actions. We all know that's how bureaucracy works, right?

Hades Au: Persephones Descent (AU info under the cut)
[Id: A drawing of Persephone from the Supergiant game Hades. she has blong hair braided with green ribbons and laurel leaves in shades of red to yellow. Her expression is of rage with intense low lighting, she's wearing a tunic, skull pauldrons, a green cloak and has red lava like markings up her arms. The background is a gradient with the text "Hades, where's my son"/end id]
Persephone's descent : An Au
This Au begins with Zagreus living above . He is in turn stolen back to the house of Hades and best mom™ Persephone is incredibly pissed off and ready to kick ass.
Thematically wise this merges the themes of the original game , original lore used in game + the sort of relationship shown in the Bridge production of midsummer night's dream between titania and Oberon. (For Hades and Persephone that is).
Things that remain the same: -
-Orpheus' failed attempt to get Eurydice free.
-Zeus' kidnapping of Persephone.
-Hades and Persephone did in the past truly growing to love each other , enough to have Zag together.
What changes:-
shortly before Zag is born Persephone asks to go back to the surface. She fears a new god's presence appearing in the house of Hades if detected by the Olympians could set off an investigation and then war. She says with Nyx’s help they can hide between the Olympians and the house of Hades alongside the river styx away from prying eyes. She also fears that if he is born in the realm of the dead what that will do to him as a baby , she thinks the only way he can live is to be born on the surface.
Hades is the one truly trapped as he cannot follow where Persephone treads, at first he hates the idea but as the days go by and zags birth approaches he realises it's what's best much to his disgruntlement. He asks Nyx to sneak Persephone out of the house to make her believe it is not his wishes but that she has to go anyway and to not return for all of their sakes.
Zag is born by the Styx he lives a life in the cottage they build there together , every now and then Zag sees a green mist in the distance when a farmer collapses or a elder in the village just off the coast passes away peacefully , the green ghostly figure does not cross the threshold of the cottages walls, does not step into the thriving bountiful gardens only watches . green with envy .
Every now and then Charon visits sparingly bringing news from Hades or Hermes bringing news from the Olympians all seems well in the in-between.
One night Zagreus strays too far from the cottage and it's warm green fields, the green ghostly figure he follows further along the clifftops , past the sea dowsed orange with the sunset to a small clearing covered in snow and pillar after pillar after pillar and before him a door taller than any building he's seen before.
Zagreus disappears that night , the next morning Charon arrives early before Persephone can even wake , she arises to aggressive banging on her front door like a drum , Hermes is there as well with Grave news that Zagreus has arrived in the underworld , he's gone.
Persephone is grief stricken till the duo tell her no hes not dead but he has been taken , stolen by Hades and Persephone is pissed. She gathers whatever she has I'm talking sickle, pitchfork, a tonne of pomegranates , the boons of one speedy lad and whatever Charon can sell her.
Alternatively the boons she gains along the way could be from the cythonic gods excluding Hades whom are wanting to help Persephone.
Persephone gets the help of those she encounters along the way who are posted up to slow her down which is :-
-Cerberus:
Whom she's so angry is being used a s a gaurd dog he's a good boy who doesn't deserve to be stuck at the doorway waiting.
- Achilles and Patroclus In Elysium
Whom Hades has reunited so they can fight together in the arena against Persephone . Once beaten and finding out what Persephone is here for they both agree to help her , they know two well, one person who wants a "demon spawn" out of the underworld who'd be happy to help her get out of Elysium
(This is Asterius and Theseus)
-In Asphodel rather than Eurydice (who's in the house) it's Orpheus who sides with Persephone's Lament at having to leave behind the one person they love the most because of doubt. He tells her about Eurydice and how she now resides in the house of Hades and how he wishes more than anything to be reunited with her , Persephone offers to take him to her .
*Orpheus joined the party*
-In Tartarus we meet Sisyphus who confesses to chatting with Thanatos who was full of remorse for leading Zag into the house of Hades but couldn't go against Hades demands I mean he's his boss and it's not like he killed zag or anything.
- we get to the back door to the house , skelly almost sets off the alarm but with Cerberus stealing skelly jaw bone he can't really make much noise to alert the rest of the house , with the cover of Nyx and the blind eye of Thanatos Persephone almost has Zagreus back when Megeara spots her and alerts Hades .
-Either that or alternatively Orpheus rushes to Eurydice and the commotion alerts the house to them. Meg is watching over Zag trying to keep a distance between themselves / not get overly familiar "it's nothing personal just business"
Other rambles-
Hades kept Eurydice around instead or Orpheus as Orpheus always sings about lost love and heartbreak and separation . Whereas Eurydice sings about finality , Hades often asks her to sing the song she wrote herself "Good Riddance" , he finds it soothes the souls entering Tartarus and his own.
Zags been trapped in the room Hades had made for him before they'd left , and Zag spends the time it takes Persephone to descend into hell learning about the father he never knew he had.
We enter phase two : I will lovingly call
"Custody negotiations ".
-Persephone is here and she's livid and not leaving without her son
-Hades tells her that Olympus was getting too close to their cottage to finding out about their son he had to come back to the house for all their sakes
- Zagreus wants to leave , Persephone wants him to leave to
- they argue ALOT
-zag gets aquanted with Dusa, Hypno and Cerberus
-when Persephone mentions the constant winter minus their grove Hades realises something is wrong and they need to fix it , Persephone demands due court . All the members of the house must come together and decide / figure out how to inform Olympus of Zags existence so that they may go back to the surface without fear or if it's truly fucked atleast stay underground till it's better

Zagreus parted Thanatos’ lips with his own, sliding his tongue into the confines of the other god’s mouth, and withdrawing the piece of somewhat soggy food from his gaping jaw. It was partly chewed and that was, perhaps, a little bit on the displeasing side, but as he parted from Thanatos with a grin on his face, and food in his belly, he found that he really did not mind the somewhat grotesque display of intimacy.
Hiding in a corner of Elysium with Death Himself had become a recurring hobby of his, and it was always a welcome break from his endeavors of escaping his father’s asylumatic maze. Whether or not his relationship — if he could even call it that — with Thanatos was welcome back in the House, he found he no longer cared. There were many things that once bothered him in regards to Hades’ viewpoint of the general scope of his life that he didn’t consider wasting his time with anymore.
Though his communication with Thanatos was limited — when the man wasn’t busy with reaping or sulking in some remote part of the realm — they got to share sublime moments such as this, which made such rebellion far and beyond worth every hardship.
The plate between them was empty, as sweat from clearing the chamber cooled on both of their backs. It seemed as though whenever Thanatos made some grandeur entrance, a swarm of Shades would follow suit. Not that either of them couldn’t fend them off, but it was still an inconvenience when Zagreus would much rather spend their limited time together actually 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳. Nevertheless, Zagreus pushes the glassware aside and slides his way closer to his lounging counterpart, seeking his lips out for another kiss — a proper one, not for theft of Thanatos’ meal.
Death Incarnate is quiet, but he wears a smile that’s said enough as he met Zagreus’ searching mouth with his own, one hand coming to card through the prince’s rather unruly dark hair.
“You should stay longer,” Zagreus murmured as they parted after a few moments of kissing, only centimeters separating them as his wide, mismatched, doe-like eyes peruse the face of his equally-as-stoic-as-he-is-emotional lover.
“You know I can’t.” Thanatos replied, his voice barely above an affectionate whisper as his nimble fingers glide across Zagreus’ cheek, down to his chin and across the prince’s slightly kiss-swollen lips, admiring him with a sort of preverbal sadness that betrayed his detached aroma about the matter that had been voiced.
“I know, but I like to think that asking you will get me somewhere.” It comes out as a sigh as it leaves Zagreus’ chest, and he can’t help but to divert his gaze to the soft padding of grass beneath them; he can feel Thanatos’ gaze on him still, and doesn’t have to look at him to know his expression of happiness — fleeting as it always is — has fallen away.
Against his will, Zagreus’ face is brought back up to be eye level with Thanatos’ via a hooked finger beneath his jaw. “I want nothing more than for you to be happy, Zag...” there is more to the sentence, the prince knows this, he can taste it in the air between them — in their shared breaths. “...and I don’t want you to leave this place. I know it’ll only make things harder for us if you do.”
“You say that like I’m not coming back.” Zargreus retorted with a bit of heat, which he regretted instantly. Thanatos always had something to say back to such a sentence, and he didn’t necessarily want to hear it.
Death’s cold hand falls away from his face to rest in his lap as Thanatos emitted an equally as chilly sigh. “I don’t know what to tell you. I’ve said to you time and time again to give up on this mission of yours and accept your life for the way that it is, a good and humble existence — if slightly constrained — as it is. We’re all bound by things we do not want to be, myself included. But your determination has gotten you this far, so I like to think that your determination will also get 𝘶𝘴 that far, as well.”
Zagreus tasted such a proposition on his tongue for a long moment, before resting his head on Thanatos’ shoulder, face covered by the expanse of the taller male’s neck. “It will, Than,” he said as a smile breached his lips, resulting from Thanatos engulfing him in a comforting hug. “It will.”

Any Hypnos headcannons if you could romance him? I love that sleepy boi, let him and Zag cuddle!
I got some Zagno headcanons! I haven’t thought much of this pairing, but I’ll give it a shot. :)
Zagreus has wanted to see stars since he was little. Hypnos fulfilled his wish by creating his own powers and showcase them in the garden. Zagreus said that he doesn’t need to see the stars because he can see his biggest star everyday. :3
Their first date? Zagreus and Hypnos went to Elysium because Hypnos wants to see Asterius in person. It ended up Zagreus fighting against Theseus and Asterius because Theseus is salty that Hypnos didn’t want to see the king of Elysium. xD
Hypnos is taller than Zagreus, which is fine for Zagreus. Because he can fit Hypnos’s coat and cuddle with him.
They both love playing board games. Zagreus tried to convince Thanatos and Megaera to play with him, but they didn’t have the time. Plus they didn’t understand why he would spend his time playing these mortal games. When Zagreus asked Hypnos if he wanted to play with him, Hypnos was ecstatic that someone wanted to play with him. As much as Thanatos loves his twin brother, he didn’t understand Hypnos’s interest with games. They share their love for rpgs and dnd.
Hypnos appreciates Zagreus for supporting him when Hypnos is by himself in the house. He wishes he can go beyond the Underworld, but unlike Nyx and Thanatos, he can’t leave. Zagreus appreciates Hypnos for getting over his fear of sleeping. He used to avoid sleeping because he felt that whenever he slept, his body confused it for death.
#silverwindsblog answers#thanks for the ask!#I feel neutral towards this pairing#but I do wish that there's an option to romance Hypnos#Anonymous#zagno
