does anyone wanna discuss the nihilistic optimism across bowling for soup's discography
#like...its so aggressively happy and the bitterness towards emo music / soft rock ballads is soooo apparent#and its cynical in assuming that sad/angry music is coming from some commercial aspiration instead of a genuine emotion#which is interesting cus i feel like the typical conversation is usually reversed? where happy music is cynically assumed to be commercial#idk its interesting#i was OBSESSED with this band in middle school#and this kind of cynicism was EXACTLY how i felt#Spotify
