so funny how 14 months ago i was like "could i be a bike girl idk but maybe this could be a thing" and today im a bike(and ski/snowboard??) mechanic who just brought home a high end mountain bike im so glad this is working out well

#she is a salsa rangefinder #shimano deore 12speed #which is good because i knew i couldnt have cable brakes at my price point and i was not bleeding a sram hydraulic brake thank you #out of the box i had to bleed my rear brake TWICE!!!! thank god since it was new i was able to reuse all the mineral oil #anyway 27.5+wheels (2.6 inch) they are tubeless ready but fuck the maintenance on those i do more than enough at work #literally the nicest rangefinder they make. i would have spent extra to get a rockshox fork #maybe even for the XT tbh #XT is two steps above deore in terms of parts quality & technology for everyone following along #deore is the bottom of the high end
