#the answer is most likely no/the latter#because he's okay until like age 12 and becomes okay again post-game#but also in the middle its so hard to untangle 'schola teaching' from 'personality' with salazar being the nail in the coffin#which is funny because a lot of the tenets of the job just dont stick to him but this one does. like oil#because it essentially allows him to patch over large parts of his persona#salazar was won in two ways: force and talk. and these are the two things he gets better in after as a result#so I think characters who are less interested in going deeper will stop there and come to the conclusion that he just is that way#so. guess the violence is an attempt to prevent that from happening in the first place. 'keep away; do not look at me further'#its the failsafe if the first layer of knowledge has been breached and the ward against what comes after.#good morning btw!
