yo, having 6k in chapter 3 is amazing. good for you!

my first playthrough i got the white arabian and i named her Lemoyne Tree as a tribute to the state of Lemoyne and my favorite post malone song Lemon Tree. But she always got super dirty so i then went to the lake next to Strawberry and tamed the red chestnut arabian. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that one, she's gorgeous and arthur always gets that one when i play it. my beautiful baby girl Diablo <3

also yes. heckin FUCK MICAH BELL. even from the beginning he's been a slime ball. hate that man <3

i won't go too far, but just keep yourself high honor towards the end of the game. you need that to be your first ending. :')

Charles deserves the absolute world. just listening to him speak and hanging out with him at camp, and the missions you continue on to do with him throughout the game are so much fun. charles is someone i wish i could have in my real life because he seems like he would be the best person to speak to and hang out with. he is so lovely and down to earth. even arthur says it a couple times throughout the game. charles gets a good ending i promise.

this is so fun. hehe i think im going to choose… four things im super passionate about and why. just because i feel everything so intensely and im not capable of liking something a normal amount. so im very passionate about certain things. and they’re not really related to each other at all lol

TLDR: i’m obsessed with stray kids and race cars and 80s movies and men’s voices in my ear telling me that everything will be okay and im entirely too comfortable on this app to share all of this.

obviously. lol it happened so suddenly. this maniac performance popped up as a suggested video on my youtube one day and i decided to watch it and i immediately was in love with felix. lol i remember thinking hyunjin didn’t look real. he’s too pretty yk? but i just listened to one song after another and now look at me. i have a whole blog dedicated to them. i just really love their music and all of them individually. (especially chan but we don’t have to get into that rn or else this post would be forever long) they just bring me so much joy.

2. ♡ cars

see? i told you they’re not related in any way. lol i just really like cars. specifically drift cars. big fan of formula drift and watching videos on youtube of drivers building their cars. (specifically adam lz if you’re curious lol) i like to work on my own cars and i have quite a few. again, it’s just something that brings me joy. it’s so interesting to me to watch someone completely take apart an engine and put it back together and all the modifications to make the perfect drift car. and i get really into it when it’s a race day and im watching the stream. like yelling at my tv lol

3. ♡ movies

my favorites are 80s movies (the goonies, the lost boys, fright night, big) omg i love those movies so so so much. but also i love the marvel universe (hey i guess that relates to skz after all! lol) of course im a Loki girl, im sure you could have guessed. just like how im a Malfoy girl when it comes to harry potter (which i also love). i like my fictional men a little bit evil and misunderstood. hehe. i think i love movies so much because they help me escape. let me get out of my head for a little while and focus on something else. i like the 80s movies specifically because… i just love the 80s. those movies are so charming and i just love the aesthetic of it all. i grew up watching the goonies so it definitely holds a special place in my heart. ♡

wait! just listen! don’t click away! hear me out for a second. ik ik that this is a questionable thing to enjoy so much lol but it brings me back to the escapism. anything to shut my brain off for a few minutes. (or forever) and by asmr i don’t mean the type of stuff that felix does, like the eating sounds, though i enjoy those videos too. no.. what im talking about i guess some people call ‘boyfriend audios’ though i absolutely hate that term. it feels icky to me. lol but i guess i dont like just any audio. i have my favorite creator that i listen to. it just, fills a void in me. that’s literally so dramatic but its true. i was actually just thinking about this the other day. about how it’s so amazing that a single person (who i have never met before in my life and never will) can bring me so much peace and comfort and make me feel so safe. and that applies to chan too honestly. so when im sad or when im having a rough day mentally and i just need my brain to be quiet, ill put my headphones in and turn on his videos or his twitch stream and he will tell me that everything is okay and then everything is right with the world again.

Olim sudor Herculis (Latin) - Carmina Burana // Beowulf trans. Seamus Heaney (Old English)

okay, so. this isn't really fully based on either of these things. so much as i am rotating them in my brain as i'm writing something. "olim sudor herculis" is a latin drinking song of sorts from Ye Olde Times (this is the version i listen to lol. unironically i love this song. i originally heard it in a class about medieval history and stuff, but like. i literally listen to it for fun. it's part of what inspired this fic, because i was listening to it for fun. ...i probably have weird taste) and the lyrics when translated are about like, love ruins glory, a lover can't be a hero because they're unable to resist their heart and/or sexual desires, and that even the strongest men like hercules can be made fools by it--the only way to win against love is to not have it, and run away from it. which is. lmao. anyway, there's a little more to it than that, but that's the basic kinda run down. and it's really less that the fic is based on that (although i'm thinking about this as a flawed, old perspective--that the only way to not lose to love is to run from it, and then spinning what the song presents as negative--A lover has no regret for wasted time, / But stupidly and pointlessly toils at Venus' comand--as like. the time isn't wasted, the work is worth it, do not run from it--idk that's all just vibes rn) so much as the whole thing has that Medieval Vibe and all which helps lend to the atmosphere for the fic and get me in The Mood as i'm writing hence i listen to it on loop while writing it. so there's the "hercules" part.

grendel is also more metaphorical/below the surface as i'm writing than literal, because the fic is going to deal with loneliness and like. a pretty obvious (not the only, but not a reach either) interpretation of why grendel attacks in the first place is loneliness, feeling like an outsider, being an outsider--obviously, it's not so simple as that, as grendel is a literal monster, but the question of monsterhood and what makes a monster, how we relate to monsters for their loneliness and their bodies and their alienation and their rage and boundless emotion and "disgusting" nature, etc, really comes into play. but like it literally says that like, what harrows grendel is the "hall-joys", the joy and celebration and laughter, the community he is irreparably separate from?? you know?? and that can be interpreted a lot of ways--the extreme version of your neighbor who keeps having loud parties at 3 am and the dorm walls are so thin and you're about ready to rip their arms off? sure. the deep and piercing loneliness of hearing other people laugh and have fun and love each other and be a community knowing that not only are you explicitly not welcome but that you will probably never find that ever? (grendel's mother loved him, was willing to rend people limb from limb for him, but did she like him? did they spend time together? did she kill for him out of the love of a mother, one might call obligatory or biological? did she kill for him out of honor, the bloody cycle the whole fucking epic is about? did they love each other? how alone were they? does it matter, when in the end, they both die alone?) yeah also valid! or the more textual interpretation that grendel's just eeeevil and mean and hates all things good and holy and light and wants to kill it just for the sake of killing it? etc. anyway the point is i have a lot of feelings about monsters and loneliness and beowulf is about cycles and monsters and cause and effect and blood and honor and heroes and the end.

ALL OF THIS however is mostly just vibes that im rotating while writing a much smaller fic which is really more about trent and friendship and loneliness, set in a fantasy tavern setting lol

tbh i don’t have anything specific that i stick to when it comes to writing… which when i think about it now is kinda strange bc when it comes to other things i always have to have some kind of plan/a list or anything that can guide me so i can be more efficient and productive, but when it comes to writing i just make sure to ALWAYS write down any ideas that come to mind in one document, and when i’m in the mood to write i go through them and pick whatever sparks my creativity in that moment and go from there (yall have no idea how many random conversations i have in my notes that just sit there 🫣)

i’m a mood writer 100% and that’s why i avoid sticking to plans or schedules or i will just get burnt out very quickly if i have to work on something that doesn’t excite me as much as other ideas that day, or if i don’t feel like writing at all, cause i have those days too ofc

i know it’s easier said than done, but don’t ever feel bad or guilty for taking your time with your works!! we’re here to create and have fun, so your own enjoyment and health comes first. try out different creative approaches, see how you’d feel and do what works best for you! i’ve realised that i write easier when i don’t stick to one particular thing/process, but i’m sure there are many ppl who are totally the opposite. don’t be hard on yourself okay, your readers will understand and will still enjoy what you put out <3

i’m rambling now, but i’m gonna share one more thing in case it helps someone? for me the beginning of the story is always challenging and i’ve realised that starting with a dialogue helps me get into it. most times i end up deleting it lol but just writing any kind of dialogue helps me start from somewhere, that’s something i always do if i get stuck on a specific part of the story too… music is also a must when i write! it keeps me inspired, sometimes it gives me ideas too, and i write easier and quicker when i listen to songs that have a similar vibe to what i’m working on

ok this is a bit silly bc i just have mp3s and basically listen to one (1) persons music bc its the only stuff i have with metadata on it and everything else is in an unsorted mega-album that i dare not enter. so! i picked their stuff that i think i listen to most frequently and got On The Approach by Jack de Quidt on PALISADE: Friends At The Table Soundtrack, Season Eight. Its a song from the first episode of the season that Friends at the Table is putting out rn, and im really adoring all their music for it. It has this incredible vibey electric guitar and synth that switches pretty seamlessly in and out of more crunchy rhythmic parts, sometimes i listen to it with my eyes closed and it makes me feel like im floating and then quickly brings me back to earth, which is very fun.

in the show it backs the introduction of a new kind of magic for this season, a sort of horrible depiction of how the big evil empire uses magic. the GM lists a lot of different ways the empires magic feels and the music responds to them, which is very cool.

I know I've just talked a lot about how this music ties in to the show, because of course, but even if you don't know the show i suggest checking them out here! that's their whole bandcamp page, the link higher up is to the song itself. there's only two songs across their whole discography that have lyrics in them, so no spoilers or needing of context. and they cover a lot of different musical styles, so even if you try the palisade soundtrack out and it doesn't click with you, their other stuff is different enough that it could! Sangfielle has this sort of fucked up violin, clarinet, and ooOOooo vocals sound, PARTIZAN is a lot of screaming synths and sirens, live at the table has a bunch of different stuff, Something & Nothing, Inside & Outside, and Autumn in Hieron are all sort of soft piano fantasy, with a goal of minimalism that doesn't always quite happen. Twilight Mirage is dance pop, Bluff City is jazzy, Marielda is clarinets (is that a genre? it is now), and The Long Way Around is minimalist scifi piano.

I know this isn't really the question, but on Inside & Outside there's a track called Hadrian & His Son where you can hear the piano pedals being pressed and for whatever reason that really gets to me every time

HMM ok! have to think kjfhdsfd Luke/Crow - theyre my funny little guys, silly little ship. No real reasoning behind it other than I thought "haha thats so funny" and then I got invested. The slowest burn imaginable that consists of them just joshing each other for over a decade

Sans/Grillby - also silly little ship I said haha and then it got real. 99% of my investment came from the fic Fired Up and Bone Weary by perniciousLizard which fundamentally changed the chemistry in my brain I think. Incredible incredible stuff

Maya/Franziska - IM SEeINg a pattern now of silly little ships that got away from me. theyre both just characters I adore and I gobbled up the little moments of respect and admiration they have for one another... weird teen girls rule da world

2: First Ever Ship Probably Yugi/Yami Yugi from yugioh fdjfkhsd I was obsessed w the show when I was younger (and still adore it) and used to hide drawings I did of them ~holding hands~ or ~hugging~ fkdjhfs... Hi! What's your favorite season of stranger things, and what's your favorite episode overall (from any season)?

my favorite episode by FAR is dear billy. im rewatching the fourth season with my friend rn and we just watched that one today. running up that hill is my favorite st scene ever. max is my favorite character and i really love that shes the center of undeniably the best scene of the entire show. i sobbed my eyes out when i first watched it. their song choice is fucking perfect for what max is going through. “i’d make a deal with god and i’d get him to swap our places” and then max later admitting that she wished she died after billy did?? AAAH!!! and just what they did to that song to make it more epic and orchestral oh my god its so fucking perfect. now im listening to that version because its so good.

the way that entire scene plays out is perfect. the ticking sounds when they go back to the real world where the guys are trying to find the tape, a portal to the real world opening when the song plays, her lifting in the air right at the chorus!!! THE FLASHBACKS!!!!!!!!! her running to a portal as everything is falling on her god ITS SO SO FUCKING GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! that scene alone would be enough for me to call it my favorite episode ever but its not even just that.

theres also the one take shootout in cali which is SO well done and so impressive i love that they did it all in one take its so fun to watch. i love mike and wills talk about mike losing him and wanting to be a team. i love hoppers escape. everything about that episode is so perfect. but obviously running up that hill is the biggest reason its my favorite.

as for my favorite season its really hard for me to decide between 2 and 4. i always said 2 was my favorite before 4 came out. but not for byler reasons, i just thought that was a really good continuation of season one. its hard for a debut season to be that amazing and successful and somehow top it with the second season. i loved the whole lab plot and the demodogs and i love that will is the center of the entire season.

but season 4 hawkins plot is really fucking good. if we’re talking about whats going down in hawkins alone i’d probably say 4 is my favorite but the other plots kinda takes up more time than i wish. like s2 its still kinda divided but its all hawkins. i kinda wish the russian plot was shortened or at least joyce reunited with hopper earlier.

i think im gonna say 4 is my favorite season tho. i love how much more horror the whole season is, i LOVE how they had so many call backs to the first two seasons like showing how will talked through the lights and bringing back past monsters like the og demogorgan and demodogs in russia. i like that el was more independent. i obviously love all byler’s moments, but also lumax!!! i feel like s3 they barely showed them but i love how they wrote them this season. its just a really good season.

also unpopular take but i hate when people say they hate the last episode when they obviously only say that bc of the monologue. like ok DID YOU NOT SEE THE EPIC SYNTH VERSION OF RUNNING UP THAT HILL TO THE MONTAGE OF EVERYONE BATTLING VECNA MILES APART FROM EACH OTHER??????!!!
