sorry to get sappy on main but i wanted to pop in and say thank you for the love that “not mine” has been receiving :’) out of all the fics i’ve written thus far i’d say this one is not only my favorite but the most personal, so it has genuinely meant the world for me to read through all of your feedback on it 🤍

#when i hear shit like people being able to resonate/relate to the not mine mc i MELT #bc i was nervous to include as much emotional turmoil and vulnerability as i did #and i not only feel seen as a writer bc of comments like this but as a human being #because the fear of losing a friend is so real!!!#as is the fear of love!!!#and while i was by no means writing the mc with myself in mind (😭😭😭 i would never)#i most definitely tried to incorporate a more realistic approach to their feelings #which inadvertently required that i reference some of my own experiences w/said emotions #as a result the fic very much ended up being a part of myself put into words #and that is a very strange thing to have happen indeed #OK I HAVE RAMBLED ENOUGH #but seriously thank you all #i truly do love that fic (and lix) so much #*musings
