"I can’t tell you what’s happening to him,” Amelia tells her, and Alvina could feel the hope physically deflate on her chest. “It is not my secret to keep, nor is it Amelia’s”

She can read between the lines. It was an Arthur thing, then. He was the one who didn’t want to tell her, like he hadn’t wanted to give her his name.

“But,” she continues, and Alvina listen closely, because she has the feeling that she shouldn’t be saying the things she’s going to reveal to her. “We’ve known each other for nine years. I consider you a friend, and I know you two are close as well. So believe me when I tell you that he’s going to be okay. That’s an objective truth. He’s gone through this before, and it’s going to get ugly before it gets better, but it will get better”

I wrote a fic! I finished listening to this podcast last night after not following it for two years, and the ending absolutely destroyed me. I had my computer near by and I decided to make that everyone else's problem
