My thoughts on Chaos Theory Season 2
Major spoilers for the season below!
If I had to use one word to describe this season, it would probably be disappointment. Season 1 was genuinely one of my favorite seasons of television ever. I loved the dark tone it set. Then this season went and ruined that. It felt a lot more like Season 1 or 2 of Camp Cretaceous in tone than Chaos Theory. Which was definitely a let-down. In addition, it really felt like the events of this season could have been confined down into a few episodes. The content with Brooklynn was quite interesting and engaging, but all the parts with the Camp Fan in Africa were really dragged out. Essentially half of the season was just them on a river. Where are the stakes? Whereâs the interesting content Season 1 set up?
But, putting all that aside, there are some genuinely enjoyable elements in the season. Of course, the standout was the episodes where we followed Brooklynn. I loved seeing what happened to her after the Allosaurus attack. Itâs definitely interesting to find out that her arm was injured by a raptor, not the Allosaurus. That definitely makes more sense. The Allosaurusâs jaws would have killed her, not just ripped off her arm. It was also nice to find out who The Broker is. I think a lot of people predicted Santos, so I wasnât too surprised. I honestly had forgotten who she was, thoughâŚDominion definitely didnât cause her to leave much of an impression. But I quite liked her in Chaos Theory.
What theyâre setting up with the conflict between Brooklynn and the rest of the Camp Fam is great. This season really did feel like it was setting up a much bigger and more interesting plot later, which caused this content to feel kind of empty. But oh well. Seeing Brooklynn as an anti-hero is so fun. And of course the Camp Fam doesnât know that, they genuinely think sheâs working with the Broker. Thatâs great. I do love a great misunderstanding. I also want to see the consequences of Ben lying. It might be that the others never fully trust him again, or at least for a while. I wonder if theyâll have a plotline where Ben learns something important but the others donât fully trust him or something like that. That would be really interesting.
One of the best and most intriguing parts of the season was Kenji. Chaos Theory Season 1 managed to move Kenji from my least favorite of the Camp Fam to my favorite. And Season 2 continues his great characterization. Specifically, the impacts of his fatherâs death. Because it genuinely seems like Kenji is suicidal. If not actively so, at least he has a great disregard for staying alive. Kenji was constantly putting himself into danger and being incredibly reckless during this season. Running into fire, jumping off the boat, putting his hand into the mouth of a hippo, trying to fight dinosaurs, and much more. Heâs actively and purposely putting himself into danger when he really doesnât need to. Itâs clear he doesnât care whether he lives or dies. And that conversation he had with Ben definitely raised alarms. I canât remember his exact words, but he said something like âIf somebody else close to me dies, I wonât be able to take it anymore.â Thatâs definitely a very suicidal statement. Now, of course this is a kids show. So I have no clue where theyâre taking this or if theyâll even address it. But Iâm excited to see.
Moving on to a lighter topic, letâs discuss ships! Yasammy is still going strong, and I love to see it. We never get enough lesbian relationships in media. As for Benji, which I also ship, weâre at least getting some crumbs. I have no expectations that this ship will ever become canon, but a girl can hope. And even just getting crumbs makes me happy. But that brings us to Dinostar, my absolutely favorite ship. Iâve shipped Brooklynn and Darius essentially since Camp Cretaceous Season 1. I always hated Brooklynn and Kenji, as it felt unnecessary and like it came out of nowhere. I was practically giddy when we found out Darius was in love with Brooklynn in Chaos Theory Season 1. At that time, it sounded like Darius had purposely confessed and Brooklynn had declined. Now we know that the confession was an accident, and Brooklynnâs denial wasnât as clear cut as we thought. She just said she wasnât ready, and wasnât able to get any other words in before Darius left in a panic. Does this mean Dinostar will get together? Who knows. But I have hope.
Overall, this season wasnât as good as I hoped or expected. But I still enjoyed it. And what itâs setting up for future seasons is definitely great. I think this season was clearly meant to be filler, and thatâs okay. I trust that the writers will deliver us a great Season 3, and more seasons after that. But all of this is just my two cents. Thanks for reading.

Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous *spoilers*
Itâs been yet another amazing season! Like the previous two, this season never fail to deliver! I feel that this season is the most scariest of all, although I did enjoyed all three seasons which are enjoyable in different ways!
The first focus on building up the relationships between the characters and introducing us to their different and unique personalities and styles of doing things, and their quest to catch the last boat off the island. Looking at things from a different perspective during the events of the first Jurassic World movie, showing what happened on the other part of the island during the chaos.
The second is more on character development (not just Ben, although his change is the most noticeable and obvious as compared to others which are more subtle unless you really pay attention to them, as they all change in some ways) and the realization that they have to live on the island a lot longer forcing them to learn how to live on the island and survive the hostile environment.
The third is when they thought they finally understood the environment and the dinosaur behaviors only to realize that world has changed with the presence of a new man-made abomination of a hybrid predator dinosaur rex which upsets the balance of nature on the island, which what makes it more scary as the characters realized they no longer know or understand what is happening.Â
That cliffhanger at the end makes me wonder if thatâs the velociraptor that attacked the lady hunter from the second season when she tried to leave the island and how the heck did it remained locked and quiet throughout the season. I guess this begs the question if there will be a Season 4. Perhaps, itâll take place after Fallen Kingdom when the dinosaurs are let loose on the main land?Â
Will this velociraptor escape quietly when the boat reaches Coast Rica and terrorize the locals? Or will it disrupt the gangâs journey in going to Costa Rica, and inevitably find themselves going back to the island or another island, the same one Dr Grant went in Jurassic Park III? As much as I love to watch a 4th season, I really donât want them to go back to the same island!Â
Perhaps season 4 will lead up to the Jurassic World III : Dominion or even set alongside it, like the first season with the first Jurassic World timeline. I think it will be dope if we could see cameo appearance of Owen Grady, Claire Dearing, Alan Grant, Ellie Settler or Ian Malcolm since weâve already seen Henry Wu!
Also, the only issue I have with Season 3 is how things ended with Darius and Kenji. Just when I thought the two are beginning to get along just fine, and they drift apart again over what happened with Brooklyn. Although I understand Kenjiâs frustration in Darius choosing to save the dinosaurs over Brooklyn, but its hurtful to see Darius being treated like that despite all the things he had done to keep the gang together and alive, risking and sacrificing his life, asking them to leave him and not wait for him, not once but twice! And making the hard decisions as a leader, which I can tell you is not easy. Hope theyâll reconcile in the next season (if any)!

Buckle in folks cause Iâm about to put more effort into this than an english assignment Presenting Why Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous is actually an amazing show
Now what defines the term amazing you might ask? Iâm talking about a show that goes above and beyond in plot, characters, storytelling, and overall experience. Nowadays most adult shows donât meet my standards much less a kids show so if that gives you an idea how good this show is stop right now and go watch it if you havenât. Spoilers ahead ofc but as an aspiring film major I will be diving into just about everything I love and this is gonna get long.Â
For your convince I will start with a simple bullet point list and then extend on them below, so if you only wanna see the big points and not my thoughts behind them this first parts for you.Â
Black mcÂ
Diverse main cast (4/6 are poc)Â
Actual plot lines and a lot of suspenseÂ
Very dark for a kids showÂ
Complex characters that developÂ
Fits in with the main Jurassic World series beautifullyÂ
Body language and facial expressions are top tierÂ
Have genuine relationships (platonically and/or romantically) between all of the main 6
Phenomenal camera angles and use of special effectsÂ
Great with detailsÂ
Amazing VAâsÂ
ContinuityÂ
So the nose dives beginsÂ
Black mc: To some people this might not matter that much but holy cow this is so important and such a big step. The people complaining are just weird middle aged white people, like do you know how big of an impact a black mc can have on young black children. Itâs so important and it makes them feel happy because someone actually looks like them. Clear evidence of this was Into The Spider Verse (which is also an amazing movie oml). Come to think of it the only black mc I think Iâve ever seen in an animated kids show is probably Static Shock (also an amazing show ily). Somehow representation has got swept under the rug in this day and age which is ironic really, but this show does an amazing job with tackling that and I love it.Â
Diverse main cast: I canât think of any recent kids movies/tv shows, live action or animated, that have this much representation. In animation is also very easy for the show runners to make a character poc and then have a white VA, but jwcc is quite the opposite. Honestly the characters look so much like their VAâs that something tells me the animation team based the characters off them and not the other way around. Not only that but their names actually match with their ethnicities. So for reference or just anyone that doesnât know, Ben and Brooklynn are white, Sammy is hispanic, Darius is black, Kenji is asian, and Yazmina is middle eastern. Sammyâs last name is Gutierrez, Yazminaâs is Fadoula, Kenjiâs is Kon and Dariusâs Bowman. Gutierrez is a common last name in Mexico and Latin America in general. Fadoula is found throughout upper Africa and the Middle East, Kon is rare name of Japense origin, and Bowman is a common last name among black folks in the US. So not only do they have a poc cast, voiced by poc people, but all the characters have realistic names. Not to mention they are very good on skin tone in the show, personally I think Yaz shouldâve been just a bit darker but hey Iâll take it and run.Â
Actual plot lines:Â This seem like stating the obvious but work with me here. Most kids and even adult shows have a very episodic format, thereâs nothing wrong with that per say but having a plot and conflict build up and having little things matter is much more satisfying in my opinion. Most kids shows have some conflict but its very PG which is also fine thatâs what itâs meant for. But every once in a while youâll find a show that had plot wise beyond itâs years and those are the golden ones. Easily and rightfully the most famous is Avatar the Last Airbender or ATLA. This show to this day is still one my favorites and truly nothing will ever top it, but in my years of watching kids shows after it jwcc might just be second. We can argue all day about whatâs the best and itâs truly a matter of opinion, but to me atla and jwcc just achieve such a level of complexity that 99% of kids and even adult shows donât reach.Â
Very dark: While this might not be exactly the best for kids itâs great for an olderish audience. Honestly it having a much darker element makes the show enjoyable for all ages while still keeping it chill enough so that children may watch. But come to think of it itâs hard not to make a show about dinosaurs dark, the show runners do a wonderful job at keeping it intense and exciting, but still kid friendly, and to me thats incredibly impressive. Not to mention since the show isnât afraid to go dark they can do more (such as benâs âdeathâ, the hunters etc) which makes it go from good to great. Reminds me a lot of atla and I know I keep mentioning atla but know that is the biggest compliment ever. atla is easily the best animated/kids show of all time so the fact that a bring it up so much is huge. There have been shows in the past that have tried to replicate what atla (such as voltron..) and it just hasnât worked. I think this show nails the boundary between too dark and not dark enough.Â
Complex characters:Â Oh yes. If thereâs one thing I love more than an ensemble cast itâs a cast that grows and develops as the series progresses. Sure the main 6 might start off as typical character tropes (Darius the super fan, Yaz the loner, Sammy the extrovert, Ben the underdog, Kenji the arrogant, and Brooklynn the influencer.) but they become so much more than that. Iâd say at least half of them are completely different people between the 1st episode and the latest one. An easy example being Ben and Kenji. Ben started off as a naive, timid, and terrified person and has become confident, independent, and brave. Kenji started off as arrogant, selfish, and apathetic person and became compassionate, driven, and concerned. All of them have had some sort of change even if itâs not super dramatic and thatâs important. It makes the storytelling better because they grow as they go.Â
Fits in with JP/JW beautifully: In terms of shows connecting to movies this has gotta be some clone wars level s-tier stuff. Personally I have never watched clone wars but my sister has and she always raves about how well this show connects to the movies, and from what Iâve seen I completely agree. A youtube channel by the name of Silverscreen Edits actually put together the scenes from every time they overlap, mainly in S1 but also the cold open from Fallen Kingdom. Iâd advise you to watch it because itâs just incredible. The show runners nail ever detail of these scenes and it truly feels like youâre watching the same scene from a different perspective. The set up is beautiful and I cannot rave enough about how amazing it is, my favorite easily being the dome scene because of all the small details. Not to mention this show actually connect JW and FK because it shows us that the cold open was 6 months later while the rest was 3 years later. Quite honestly I had no idea these two scenes were that far apart from each other, I thought the opening was from a years or two later not 6 months, so this show really connected the dots between these two movies and made them flow together much nicer. And I love all the countless references too old and new JP/JW movies. Overall this show is a great addition to the franchise.Â
Body language and facial expressions: You might be thinking to yourself, hmph that is a really odd point to make, let me tell you itâs not and Iâll explain why. When analyzing films I usually tend to stick to live action because one of my favorite parts of films is how characters react to things, and we animation we really donât get that. Most of the time even if shows get this complex they wonât use both the way jwcc. What impressed me so much was how amazing they are at this, the animation team seriously needs more praise. Jwcc is great at facial expressions which I will say other animated shows know how to do as well, but they are also so amazing at body language which is rare rare when it comes to animation. Itâs because itâs so hard and often times it just doesnât fit, but they do an amazing job with this and it makes the characters feel so life-like. When a character is sad or closed off their shoulders hunch, when they feel scared they stiffen up and cover their ears (which is another detail I love so much, I never realized till this show that hardly anyone ever covers their ears and it makes a lot of sense because these dinos are very loud) and when they feel hopeless their shoulder sag and their head drops, do you see what I mean? You can quite literally tell what these kids are feeling and thinking without them saying anything that is so impressive and it makes the show that much better. It makes it easy to analyze and if it wasnât clear around I love to do so.Â
Genuine relationships between all of main cast: I will not budge at this point at all, gonna say it right now if you disagree argue with the wall. I might have some bias on this but one, if not my favorite, part of any media is an ensemble cast. Itâs something I actively seek out, and when I say ensemble cast I donât mean a trio, I mean a full cast, my favorite being 6 but 4 or 5 will do. So when I found out this show had 6 main characters I was immediately interested. Not only because I love ensemble casts but I also wanted to see how they handled it. Ensemble cast are so rare because they are extremely hard to do and do well. I will even criticize atla on this. At one point they had 6 main characters and they never elaborated on more than a handful of the duos and just focused on the group as whole. But this is typical and easiest to do without giving up individual character development so I get that. But jesus christ jwcc does a phenomenal job with this, and I mean phenomenal. Out of the 15 different duos you can get between 6 characters then have elaborated on 11 of them, and it could easily be more this is just from memory. I might make a post elaborating on this specifically because itâs just amazing. This time they take to flesh out these relationships truly makes them feel like a unit and a family, instead of just a group of people all working towards the same goal. This is easily the most impressive and rewarding of any of the points on this list in my opinion. (coming from #1 squad lover right here)
Camera angles and special effects: This shows downfall for some was that it had strange animation, honestly it never bothered me and since Iâve watched dragon prince and rwby, itâs clear that bad animation never stops me from watching a show. But I think people just wonât give it a chance, because when you do youâll see itâs actually very good. To me the coolest part of the animation is the dinos. They look incredible and so so similar to the cgi used in JW. Thatâs hard to do so more claps for the animation team I love yâall. They also have to work around the PG side of this show and do a great job at implying what happens but never actually showing what happens. This is all angles, not to mention they do a great job at showcasing the park and the scenery so that magic from the movies really translates to the show. Finally my favorite scene of the show from an avid slow mo lover has got to me when Ben falls of the monorail (idk why it is cause heâs literally my fav and I was so upset) The scene is just beautiful and the set up before hand makes it that much more heart breaking. The use of slow mo is amazing I literally cannot rave about this scene enough. It builds so much suspense and they used just the right amount, to much and the scene would move to slow, and to little the scene would be to fast. I need more great scenes like this in S4 (idk if I want the angst that comes with it too Iâll get back to you)
Details: To me details, in any show in general, is what makes it go from great to fantastic. An example of this is Harry Potter, something that hooked me into this franchise was how much small details mattered and itâs the same with jwcc. There are so many throw away lines that end up coming back and all us are hitting ourselves for missing it. Such as Ben saying early on he knows where the tracker beam is and when he âdiesâ and the crew canât find it it shows how important he was. Those are details I love to see. Or the three dinos, one of which Sammy released, coming back all season. Of course toro as well and he always kept his burns. Not to mention the animation team always kept Benâs scar in and I think thatâs an important detail because he shaped who he is. Keep up the good work animation and writing team because I love what youâre doing with this (also Iâm 90% sure the compass is another one of these details Iâm calling it rn)Â
Amazing VAâs: Honestly VAâs in general do not get enough credit and they really should. But these 6 are pretty amazing let me tell you. If Iâm not mistaken Ryan Potter (Kenjiâs VA) is the only one with a notable history of voice acting as he played the title character in Big Hero 6. (fun fact I had no idea and when I found this out I quite literally screamed). But the others have also done things as well, most of it being live action though, and voice acting is much different. Honestly I just need to make a post about the various roles theyâve had cause looking into this has been an experience. Anyway all of them do such an incredible job with this ahh. I think the times where you can really tell how different they all are is when they lash out. This happens quite often and honestly itâs expected, I mean theyâre 6 teenagers in a stressful environment of course theyâll last out. But all of them have such a different way of doing it, Darius is hopeless, Kenji is nervous, Yaz is emotional, Ben is harsh, Brooklynn is stern, and Sammy is level headed. Usually everyone lashes out the same way so the fact that theyâre so different in just one aspect shows you how good they are. Each character is so individual and all of them have different goals and morals which is not only realistic but it makes way for conflict which is always interesting.Â
Continuity: Now this could arguable go with details but itâs slightly different so Iâm making this a separate point. Continuity to put it simple it basically not have the show be episodic. Honestly that completely what I expected from this show because that how most kids shows are. In this show the plot not only progress each episode but so do the characters and their trauma. Most of the time the plot will progress but anything bad that has happened to the characters will not show and is hardly talked about (COUGH VOLTRON). To me itâs something that has to be addressed because if the characters donât grow what was the point of it. And theyâve shown that characters grow based on the events that happen and I love that. Another thing about continuity is when show runners stick a pin in something and actually go back to it (COUGH RWBY). Jwcc is amazing at this and make a point to bring back just about everything that gets sidelined in the first place. Itâs so impressive and make the show that much more enjoyable. There have been countless times where I get so caught up with the pins that shows just leave there and it makes me so mad, but jwcc is good at for the most part because of course some things will slip through. But they always get back to the important things.Â
The conclusion: Overall this show is phenomenal and if my essay hasnât convinced you Iâm not sure what will. The show is amazing at storytelling and plot and the lovable main cast makes it that much better. It is so much better than a good chunk of kids shows and honestly part of me wishes it was rated PG-13 cause I really wanna see that. But they do an amazing job and keep it kid friendly enough while still discussing mature topics. Itâs the next atla to me and something that many kids shows now days try to be and fail. Itâs impressive and complex and truly one of the best shows Iâve ever watched. Film major mara out, and if you actually read all of this ily mwah.Â

Self indulgent series: Part 2.1
Life: Part 1
(Kenji x female reader, authors perspective) (the reader is a singer) (also: Some angst in here. I dunno why, but I just love writing some angst with fluff endings xD)
âSo, let me get this straightâ, the interviewer said, bewildered by the story the singer and songwriter Red Rose had brought up, âyou met your now husband, Kenji Kon no less, on Jurassic World as one of the kids who got stranded for five months?â
âThatâs correctâ, she said. She had answered that very question a million times, but she couldnât fault them for it: It was an unbelievable story (though she started to wonder how not everyone was aware by now that she was one of the teens back than).
âIt was in December of 2015. I was thirteen years old and exited to be one of the first teens to visit Camp Cretaceous. I have to admit, I wasnât and still am not, maybe even less than before, the biggest fan of dinosaurs. Iâm not particularly interested in facts about them, but I definitely was interested in seeing some Dino action! So when I won first place at the talent show of my school-â
âUnsurprisinglyâ, the interviewer interluded at which the audience gave a collective chuckle.
â-I was still very excited about going to Jurassic World. My parents never wanted to go and in retrospect I can understand why. But you know: I was a naĂŻve thirteen-year-old and didnât think much about the consequences of the past. What happened at Jurassic Park you know? I was convinced Jurassic World was different and all worked out. Boy was I wrong! We all know it now! But at least I can say that I got, besides trauma, lifelong friends and my amazing husband out of itâ
âThat definitely canât be disputedâ, the interviewer agreed. Red Rose found him quite pleasant. Although he was a chatterbox, he was still very respectful and didnât poke too much into the Jurassic World story: Although she was, for the most part, over the trauma, it was still a work in progress and itâs not a time she always remembers fondly. On most days she remembers the good moments she had with her newfound friends there, but sometimes she could feel the adrenaline rush through her as she thought of dinosaurs trying to eat her and her fellow campers. She saw flashes of sharp teeth and could feel hot, stinking breath and hear growls drawing shivers down her spine.  Red Rose liked to focus on the human part of the experience, so she preferred being able to tell the tale of Jurassic World the way she wanted without being asked too muchâŚ
âSo, Kon helped you reach fame if I remember correctly?â, he asked.
âDefinitely! Though, I mean: I was able to do most of what Iâm doing. Teaching myself how to use certain programs. I taught myself how to sing and Iâve always written my own stuffâŚBut I certainly wasnât good at marketing myself or making myself grow.
Kenji and I became boyfriend and girlfriend when I was sixteen and he was eighteen. That same year we went on vacations for three weeks in the Caribbeanâs. And â, she let out a laugh. The camera closed up on her and caught a smile and a glance that looked so touched by love anyone could feel how much she adored her spouse, âI remember how we went on the private part of the beach Kenjis father had purchased. I sat down on a hammock and a guitar and just started improvising and singing. Little did I know my boyfriend -gosh that sounds weird to say now- was filming me. He put it up on Instagram, and he already had quite a following back then, so it gained quite some attention. Though not necessarily because it was a nice scenery or any of that: But because people genuinely liked how I sing and the melody I had come up with. And well⌠it got wild from there. People soon requested I make my own Instagram page for making music.
A year later I was asked if I would like to produce some music and well⌠then my career startedâ
âThatâs honestly such a cool and sweet story. Though how about an even sweeter reunion? Please welcome: Kenji Konâ
Red Rose got up from her seat with a wild jump, not as the eccentric, elegant yet kind of crazy minded artist, but as y/n Kon. As the wife who hadnât seen her husband in person for a month because of the production of yet another movie starring him as the protagonist.
The crowd clapped in awe of him, as fans. She wanted to clap because her heart was clapping too. Her heart was dancing a tango inside of chest as though she was seeing her middle school crush in the hallway. His dark eyes, ridden with depth met her y/e.c. ones and all they could read in each otherâs eyes was happiness and love.
This happened within miliseconds, but it passed by in slow motion for her, so she perceived herself running towards him with calm. For the rest of the world however she was perceived as looking like a golden retriever who had missed his owner whilst they were at work and were ready to play.
It was adorable. It was downright touching how the couple met each other halfway and gave each other a long, passionate yet gentle kiss (so that it wouldnât be too inappropriate for life TV).
âNot to be giddy, but you really are a couple to die forâ, the interviewer said. The audience half chuckled half yelled in agreement. She felt her cheeks blush in a deep dark shade of red and heard her husband chuckle in embarrassment. She looked down to her and whispered âHello loveâ
Kenji had, unsurprisingly, had found joy in being actor. Being dramatic and showing his face on camera all the time? Perfect!
And he honest to god was a great actor. Though it did get annoying from time to time that he was casted as either the pretty faced villain or the charming, perfect love interest. Sometimes he was even both.
Y/n didnât like to admit it, but she was quite jealous at the beginning when she saw him kiss other men and women on screen. It took a big fight for her to admit that.
She wasnât proud of that fight at all. She had been, without wanting to, been very critical of her then fiancĂŠ (it was about six months before they got married). She would call him several times a day when he was on set of a particularly spicy rom com and observe his socials every couple of minutes. Y/n remembers her friends teasing her about it in the beginning and then eventually scold her. âDonât you trust him?â, they had asked and she had answered, âI doâŚ.â, and they knew she was telling the truth, yet there was more behind it.
Kenji soon caught up and noticed her strange clinginess.
âWhat is up with you, Y/N? You know I have work to do! You canât call me that often on set!â, he had yelled when the topic came up. He had been visiting for the weekend before he would go back on set.
âWhy not? Can a girl not talk to her fiancĂŠ?â, she had asked with a sharp undertone
âOf course, you can darling. But twenty times a day is simply too much!â, he argued, yet he tried keeping his tone softer.
âI donât call that oftenâ, she pouted
âOh YES you do!â, he put his phone out and showed her the times she had called just the other day. She counted about thirty, âI was nice with that number!â
âAnd? So what? You can just put your phone on silentâ
âYes, of course I can. This isnât about solving the notification issue itâs about solving your trust issues towards me. Why donât you trust me?â, as he asked the question his anger had subsided and genuine hurt showed in his eyes in his voice, âyou monitor me like Iâm an inmateâ
âIâŚâ, she was only able to say, her throat suddenly seemed dry, âIâm sorry, I didnât mean to⌠IâŚâ, she couldnât find the right words to explain it. It hurt too much to admit. She thought she had been over that thought pattern a long time ago, but it had returned to her.
âWhat? What have I done to deserve this?â, he asked, âWhy are you even with me, if who I am disturbs you so much?â
And that⌠that sentence had hurt her more than that ugly thing inside of her she hadnât wanted to face.
âYou fool!â, she screamed in fury as the sentence he had uttered stung, her eyes filling with endless tears, âHow could you ever think you disturb me? You are the most beautiful, wonderful human being I know, inside and out. And on top of that you are incredibly kindhearted. And thatâs why Iâm like this⌠I donât want to lose you. And itâs not that I donât trust you: I highly doubt youâd ever cheat on anyone. You are too kind for that. But I fear⌠I feared when you are together with all these good-looking actors you might not find me enough anymore. I know itâs stupid, but you see: The past haunted me again. When I was called fat. When I was called not-good-enough. When I read social media comments saying youâre out of my league and I donât deserve you. Ugly words that ate me up inside when I was a child and young teen. I thought I was past that but IâŚIâŚâ, now the tears were too many and her words died with hiccups. She felt his form surround her in a hug that felt so warm and yet sharp as knifes. She loved his touch but felt guilty for not opening up about this sooner. She had never wanted to be like this, but alas she had been too much of a coward to burden him or herself with this.
âLoveâ, he whispered after comforting her for a couple of minutes, âLook at meâ
She lifted her head. Her eyes were red and puffy, her lips were dark pink, and tears had run streaks across her cheeks. It broke Kenji to have hurt her so deeply, yet he also knew that it wasnât his fault. It was however his responsibility, to clear this up once and for all.
âLove listenâ, he started, âI completely understand your jealousy. But weâve been together for almost ten years and in all that time, Iâve never encountered a woman more incredible, deeply fascinating and intrinsically beautiful as you. No acted kiss could bring me away from you, no sexy actor could keep my mind from ever wishing for more than to be by your side. Iâve been by your side for almost six years: What should change now?
The monster from your past is, as already stated: Past. Their words were untrue. These people were in pain themselves when they caused you pain. You were a target to unleash the inner turmoil of others. Itâs no excuse but it is the explanation. Those who feel they must hurt others are those who seek the most attention and power because theyâd be devoid of having a self. I should know: I used to be similar to that. And I had my phase of jealousy as well, you know?â
âReally?â, y/n managed to ask
âOh yes! I was in rage every time I heard you talk about any of your guy friends back in high school. Difference is I could hide it better because we were apart a lot of the time. I feared you would find someone who had more of a personality than me. I was no longer sure looks would cut itâ
âGosh loveâ, she answered, her voice love drunken, âyou burst of personality. You arenât just a pretty boy or well⌠pretty man. You have so much spirit and energy to give to the world. You are the definition of happiness and sunshine. And on top of that you are an incredibly talented man with so much to show. You wield the human mind and emotions so well you can convert yourself to be something other than yourself convincingly-â
âSee?â, he asked, âand just like you love me like that and see all that good I sometimes donât recognize, I see it in you⌠I always love youâ
âI love you too. Iâm sorryâ
âDonât be sorry. Iâm so happy we had this talk. It was much neededâ
âYeahâ, she hummed as her lips almost touched his and within seconds the couple found themselves passionately kissing
Ever since then they hadnât had any of these kinds of self-worth problems. Theyâd say I love you on a daily basis and gave each other compliments whenever they could.
One thing the fans found especially cute was that, without fail, Red Rose would comment on each of Kenjiâs selfies and comment âhey gorgeous, you single?â and heâd answer every single time, âSure Sugar. Meet me at seven on your favorite street-cornerâ
One time they took a picture of each other on a nice-looking street corner. Kenji had called the picture âfinally found the street corner. Been waiting to meet this lady for a while, apparently her name is âyour wifeâ, which is peculiar but otherwise she seems niceâ.
The picture even went viral and became one of the all-time favorite celebrity pictures of 2026.
After the talk-show they flew back in his helicopter.
They were in New York city and y/n looked at the city landscape with a fascinated gaze as she observed the flickering lights of the big apple.
Kenji looked at her with eyes shining almost as bright. He loved her love for everything new she sees. He had noticed that the first time she had seen the watering hole. He wasnât really interested in her that way yet. He was fifteen and she thirteen, that makes quite a difference at this age. But still he couldnât but smile as she looked at the dinosaurs with big eyes. And he loved that she hadnât lost that spark, even as she got older, even as they came together and grew and changed together.
Y/n noticed his gaze and shifted hers to look at him.
âWhat a beautiful man. Iâve missed him soâ she thought to herself.
âI missed youâ, he said as though he had read her mind just now. Maybe he had. They had been together for so long they were often able to read each otherâs subtle shifts in expression. Quite a beautiful thing.
âI missed you tooâ, she simply answered, âdid you plan this talk show surprise?â
âYes and noâ, he admitted, âI was meeting up with Donavan OâConnor, the director of the âElaine, the one?â series. When calling Donavan, he told me had been to talking to Ray (the interviewer) and he was casually pointing out the funny coincidence you were meeting up for and mention the funny coincidence, that youâd have an interview with him that same day I come to the city and well⌠needless to say I called Ray and arranged things... I just had to. Couldnât miss the opportunity to surprise my beautiful wifeâ
She smiled at that. A shy and flattered smile that reminded Kenji of when they were teens.
They landed on the roof of a nice-looking hotel. They had decided to stay the night here in New York before travelling back to Ireland⌠yes: Yes Ireland.
Most celebrities lived in L.A., but Kenji and y/n had preferred living a bit apart in an old mansion near the coast of south Ireland, close to the northern border. Although Kenji was a people person, he didnât like the dishonesty and lying in the industry and wanted to get away from that with his wife who thought the same.
Besides: It was a beautiful country.
As they entered the room, they felt peace and happiness as well as a certain kind of tension arise.
Needless to say, there was another kind of reuinion going on that night...
(Sorry about that short ending, I had to heavily edit that âcause it originally was a... well... non Pg scene xD)
