Wearing a nightie and still with my eyeliner from earlier today have combined to make me realise I did really internalise the fashion textbooks I read as a young teenager to "learn how to dress"
#the answer is I still don't know how to “dress”#but my nightwear is very much giving the 90's babydoll look#shoutout to the fashion textbooks that my high school had#one of them (the title eludes me) was very comprehensive in breaking down popualr styles across centuries/decades#mainly focusing on 20th c. styles#but it contained a guide to the ideal silouhette#face and body shape#colour palette#makeup#hair styles#and etc for each of the styles#which allowed me to chart out in a strategic manner what styles I could most easily achieve with my apperance#that information has proved to be very useful for situations where I am dressing not like Adam Sandler#aimie rambles
