sometimes i think about beauty standards and how i draw my characters

because the way i draw faces is very limited actually

sure nokrid has a resting bitch face and quinn's eyes are always supposed to be smiling but like. i erase the long noses and the pudgy cheeks and the thick eyebrows and the skin blemishes and the wrinkles. i erase just about everything that makes them look like they could be an actual human, but 'applies to humans' is the one constant of general beauty standards. by making them look like the peak of one era, i am actively making them look worse in others.
