if veiling is about modesty then why are so many veils so showy
#aje post#interblag#non fandom#aje is catholic#aje gets frustrated#venting into the void#if the point is to hide something from view then lace is stupid because you can see straight through it#we don't make tabernacle veils out of lace#if the point is to be modest then lace is stupid because it's extremely decorative#that's why it's used so much in weddings and fancy dresses#so why does my sister have like 14 waist length veils in every liturgical color plus a few non liturgical#and all of them are either lace or distinctly patterned#I DO NOT FRICKING GET IT WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE ACCOMPLISHING WITH THIS#if i was going to veil (which i am NOT) i would be wearing something short and probably the color of my hair!#whether it was lace or solid fabric or some kind of headwrap it would be plain and inconspicuous!!#because it should not be drawing attention!!!#WAIST LENGTH LACE IS THE LITERAL OPPOSITE OF THAT ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S RED OR GREEN
