I feel like a lot can be explained about my family by the fact that both my parents are younger siblings whose older siblings took priority
#vent#begging my dad to stand up to his brother once in his life (not that it matters bc my grandma always gives in as well)#also I love my aunt but she will literally start a fight over anything#there's such a weird contrast bc my dad's brother is very hands off as an uncle - he doesn't have kids and doesn't particularly care about#any in his life (aka me and my brother) - I have more memories of his wife than him#whereas my aunt had a kid at 17 and then other kids young (her youngest is 6 yrs older than me and nearly 14 yrs older than my brother)#so she's relatively hands on and she likes doing stuff but once she started a fight because I politely refuse her help with cleaning???#idk that's why I try to be nice to my brother because I dont want our relationship to end up like theirs#it was rough for a while bc I was super depressed when I was 12-16 and my brother was 5-9 so he didnt rly understand#but things are better now I think#anyways whoops
