does anyone still freak with the legion in 2025. because I've been losing on their side for six years (iykyk what it was like to be a legion fan when they first released) and I have not moved on so here's some little hcs and how I currently envision/draw them all this time later :] they're like the only thing I can sit and draw these days.
&& longer-form talk abt my design choices under the cut!
julie's comic design is so perfect to me that I was sold as soon as it released. not much to change there. funnily enough, i could never picture her as a blonde until it released, even though we knew from her tome cosmetic well before the comics came out. i think frank's comic design has a strong vibe going for it but I wanted to blend it with some skeet ulrich in scream and pay homage to my original interpretations. I just like the lighter hair on him. joey's comic design is also perfect to me! I'm just so used to the beard and face paint from his fog/model design that I gave him a bit of a shadow to call back to it. susie's canon blue eyes make a return (I used to draw her w dark eyes!). color contacts will not reach her in the Entity's realm mark my words.
i'm aware everyone in the Fog was retroactively confirmed to be 18+ but there's something really miserable and important to me abt the legion being eternally trapped in their teenage friend group with their teenage angst and having that be warped and manipulated forever and ever. that crap already feels like the whole world when you're that age, and now you're a murderer in spider hell. rough! i keep them teens in my iteration but with zero intent of being weird abt it. so like. don't be weird abt the legion around me. they're like my strange kids.

Silly thing i noticed, the button says requests are closed yet the latest post says it's opened.
Have you noticed that there's not a lot of Legion posts?(Not counting Frank, boy gets posts), but like Joey or Susie. Its sad, really.
So how about a post where the survivor reader just randomly starts to assert dominance in the chase?(Like in game, you suddenly stop and start to stare at the killer, they usually stare back and walk away) with the Legion(F.J.S.J) members? I'm curious how it'll go. You can add other killers as well.
You don't have to write it if you dont want to! Wish ye' luck, will call myself S.S
Yeah, I forgot that I had switched the button until I saw your request and then changed it. 😂 Well S.S, here is your Legion request. I don’t understand why Joey doesn’t have a last name. 😭 BHVR needs to give my poor boy a god damn last name.
The Legion/Joey
You’re a spunky little fella aren’t you? When you abruptly halt and stare defiantly at him, Joey is confused. Is this some sort of trap? A sign of weakness? Are you challenging him? Are you just being brave? Why the hell are you staring at him?!
Despite all the confusion running through his brain, Joey is curious about your sudden boldness towards him. He’ll meet your gaze with a mixture of surprise and intrigue.
As your two lock eyes with each other, Joey can sense your strength and resilience. He knows the feeling too well as he once had to be like you before his time in the fog. He knows the feeling of having to be brave and courageous in the face of danger and respects it. You stand your ground and for that he sees you as a worthy opponent in trials rather than prey.
In response to your display of dominance, Joey momentarily lowers his weapon and you two continue y’all’s tense stare-off. As Joey stares into your eyes, he feels a surge of admiration for your fearlessness, briefly questioning his role in the Entity’s twisted game.
After a few moments, Joey nods subtly at you before turning away, silently acknowledging your defiance and granting you a temporary reprieve from the chase.
The Legion/Susie Lavoie
Susie is taken aback when you suddenly stop and stare directly at her, breaking her concentration and causing her to hesitate. She’s not used to this sudden display of bravery and courage from a survivor which makes her slightly nervous.
Despite her initial surprise and anxiousness, Susie is also overwhelmed with the feelings of curiosity by your unexpected behavior, finding your defiance refreshing amidst the monotony of the hunt.
As she locks eyes with you, she senses a silent challenge in your gaze, igniting a spark of excitement within her as she prepares to face a worthy opponent. Unlike Joey, who questions his loyalty to the Entity, Susie sees you as a testament to the Legion’s power, proud to serve alongside the rest of her fearless comrades and friends.
In response to your courage, Susie smiles wickedly, impressed by your audacity. She is eager to see how the chase unfolds. As the tense stare-off continues, Susie senses familiar emotions radiating off of you that she ultimately feels all the time, but has to bottle them up. She recognizes the familiar feeling of defiance to go against the Entity’s control inside you. You both want out of this never ending hell hole.
After a few moments, Susie nods to you before resuming the chase with another survivor, determined to test your mettle in trials to come.

Random name funfacts:
Kovács means Smith, which implies his father or someone otherwise familiarly related to him was a smith by profession. That said, Kovács is very common nowadays.
Tarhos is such an old name that I've never heard it before his release and thought BHVR made it up, but no, apparently it's just so ancient its use died out
Apparently, it was the name of one of the sons of the most recognized pre-country Hungarian leader, the chief of all our tribes, Árpád, who lived in the 9th century and lead all the tribes to where Hungary currently is, though this son is more often referenced as Tarkacsu
Tarhos is also the name of a current day village in Hungary
Most certainly unrelated, but Tarhálás (Tarhál) is the act of obnoxiously and persistently begging someone for typically money or cigars, it's also used jokingly between friends
Hungarians use their names reversed (FamilyName PersonalName), so he might remember being Kovács Tarhos back home
These are all really interesting! To be honest I had a hard time trying to find out how to pronounce his name when he first released, because Tarhos isn't common aside from the village name like you mentioned. I probably still butcher it phonetically to be honest, BUT the funniest comment I've ever seen in reference to him was someone calling his name "edgey" on a reddit post.
Like damn can't believe a common last name and a village name are edgy now, pack it up boys can't have a common name now.

I tried to flesh out Ji-Woon Hak more. Dunno, key word is tried.
Note: I kept some of BHVRs OG lines from his lore, so please keep that in mind. A good chunk of the beginnging is pretty much bhvrs.
Another note: Everything highlighted in blue is BHVR's original words. This will include rewording.
Ji-Woon Hak thrived under the attention of others, energized by every eye that watched him and every tongue that spoke his name. Amidst the prestige, he had only one desire: more.
Working at his family’s restaurant as a child, he would draw in business with knife-throwing spectacles. Gullible tourists gladly handed over their money to see part of the “traditional Korean experience”. His talent for knife-throwing was not the only thing that brought in customers, Ji-Woon was a natural with his voice and his father only nurtured his talent for singing. Ji-Woon’s father spent the restaurant’s earnings on dance lessons and vocal lessons for his son, pushing him to attain the fame he could never achieve.
Ji-Woon did not disappoint.
After years of showing his abilities to nobodies at talent shows, he finally got his wish of a chance of stardom when Yun-Jin Lee, a producer at Mightee One Entertainment, recruited him into her training program. He was swept away as soon as possible to a dormitory in Seoul where, for fourteen hours a day, he was crafted into a star. Ji-Woon was not only taught how to move and sing, but how to carry himself with the right balance of confidence and modesty as well. Each detail was chiseled into him as if he were a statue.
Draining as the process was, it worked. Yun-Jin selected Ji-Woon to join the band NO SPIN, and with him, he brought raw new energy to their tracks that sparked almost immediate fame. Ji-Woon lived in a daze of interviews and adoration, and though the frenzied schedule exhausted his bandmates, he was invigorated by it. Each day was an affirmation that he was greater than the mediocrity society spewed out.
But one person can only take so much pressure. Fame or no fame, Ji-Woon and his bandmates were still drilled on being more than perfect. It may not have taken its toll on him as physically as it had his friends, but those around Ji-Woon could see the change. There was a different spark in his eyes. A spark that would set everything ablaze. Including them.
They screamed out his name as the fire spread through the studio. Smoke filled their lungs as they pounded on the window for him to free them, their escape blocked by fallen speakers. Yet, as he stood there, seemingly frozen in his spot as he stared at the heavy equipment. . .he backed away from them. Ji-Woon’s back soon faced them as he ignored their cries as he quickly made his escape.
To Ji-Woon world had become stale; the fame, the fortune, the attention, all of it was becoming background noise. It was old news, he needed something new in his life, and fate had granted him the change he desired. The death of his bandmates reinvigorated him and his new solo career. No longer was he just part of NO SPIN, now all the eyes would be on him, The Trickster. He rode on the attention his bandmates gave him, moving him into a prosperous career as a solo artist and producer; a wild child with a soft heart hidden beneath the glam.
Something, however, was growing within Ji-Woon; something akin to the embers of obsession. The last words his friends had called out had been his name. Their voices were the fuel that fanned the embers. He needed to hear those cries again, the feeling they sparked in him filled the empty cavity that the staleness had started to create.
But no one could see it, not even through his eyes, the gateway to the soul. A decade of being taught how to be perfect made it an effortless task to hide what had begun to burn within him.
The first time he killed it was at random, a spur of the moment. An open window. A fire escape. A bat to her skull. Gagged and bound, he played with her, dissecting her alive on her bed like a frog. But something was not right, there was no satisfaction in it. All Ji-Woon got from her was muffled cries and please, not the screams and wails he had craved.
But Ji-Woon learned and he adapted. He changed his tactics, from breaking in to abduction. It wasn’t hard for him to find a secluded area to do his dirty work, far from where anyone would hear and soundproof enough to hide the cries he let ring from his victims. Each kill was recorded, each sound was utilized and hidden into the music that he produced. But he did not stop with just incorporating the wails of his victims into his music; Ji-Woon began to leave a trail of breadcrumbs with each murder, a mink boa from a photoshoot around a slashes throat, teeth plucked out to mimic the mouth of a boxer that had appeared in a recent music video.
But he was not garnering the amount of attention he wanted from it. So he struck closer to home. The idol turned his attention to a fan who had recently come to a VIP meeting with him, she was to be his next victim. He brutalized her, keeping her restrained as he beat her. The fan’s wails when he carved his blade through the flesh of her breasts as he slowly spelled out I HAVE SEEN GOD sent shivers down his spine. Ji-Woon waited patiently as she neared death before he struck again. He drove his fingers into her eye sockets gauging the soft and squishy orbs from their holes, vitreous fluids leaking from one of them as it ruptured within his palm. In their place, he pressed the diamond cufflinks he had been wearing down into now empty sockets. There was a second where he paused, only to simply wipe the precious stones clean
But nothing lasts forever. Violence quickly became Ji-Woon’s preferred media of art. His obsession with the cries of death left him a mental wreck, all his focus being on planning and committing the gruesome murders. This, of course, did not play out well in the eyes of the executives. Though he may not have had the largest cut in the company’s revenue, his fame and audience still played a major role in the continued success of the production company.
They were going to give him one last chance. A last chance to create his magnum opus. If not, he was done. He was going to be cut off. Ji-Woon would go back to being nothing but a dying spark of what had been a bright career.
He was incandescent..
Exhaustion was driving his mind in circles of brutal attacks and complete focus on producing a hit with Yun-Jin. But it would be done, it would be his best performance yet. They would all see. The performance would be like none they had ever seen. And it would be their last.
Animosity swarmed in his chest as he strode to the performance room where he was greeted by the filth that sought to throw him out like dirty rubbish. Behind him the door clicked shut, the lock quietly being done to provide some privacy.
The clicks of the heels of his shoes echoed as he walked up to the stage. As the music began, it played like he had started with Yun-Jin, but it slowly faded into a vile and grisely beat. A twirl on his feet hid the motion of drawing a throwing knife from its hidden spot. None had even seen it escape his fingers until it was already lodged into the neck of one of the trash, blood spraying out and coating the desk and floor. It took Ji-Woon no time to fill the room with the stench of death as the blades flew from the tips of his fingers effortlessly, impaling and slicing through soft flesh. The only one who was left untouched by the whirlwind of death was Yun-Jin. She had been the person to drag him out from the grime of the masses. She would be the true VIP of his greatest performance yet.
There was no pause in Ji-Woon’s wave of violence as a dark cloud formed on the floor of the room. Fiery yellow eyes turned to Yun-Jin. She now would have his full attention, and his her’s. She had frozen to her chair the entire time, watching in dreaded awe. He settled the razor tip of a bloodied throwing knife under her pretty chin, tilting her head up towards his face. Gore drenched his clear skin.
But that scared look on her face disappeared as a dark fog began to swallow the room, her lips pursing as she spat in his face just as she was consumed by the plume of inky darkness. A roar of pure rage crawled out Ji-Woon’s throat as he swiped at the empty chair as he too was swallowed in the cloud.
It was not heaven nor hell, nor anywhere in between. It was a land entirely of its own. A stage with thousands of eyes watching him. A stage with many sets. Hunting grounds to make his prey scream beautiful notes for all to hear. All he had to do was accept and the only death in his story would be the continued slaughter of his victims.
His stage is The Fog, and all eyes are on him.

What do you think about bhvr adding another killer/survivor who is associated with the already existing ones, like they did with Rin and Kazan?
Uhhh, no strong opinion on it? Rin and Kazan being related doesn’t really have much effect in-game, and kinda seems like it wouldn’t in the reality of that world either, you know? Like if my great great great great great grandad was also in the realm with me, I’d be like “weird” if like, I was even aware of it? But I wouldn’t have much opinion on that just becuase we are distant blood relatives, and I kinda doubt he would either? I figure if he was cool I’d be like “neat” and we’d become friends, and if he sucked, I’d be like “you’re not affiliated with me,” and he’d have about the same approach to me. But I also wouldn’t assume someone /was/ my however many greats grandpa just because we had the same last name, I mean, not everybody with my last name is any kind of remotely close blood relative. I might not ever even notice. So I guess I don’t see much point to adding distant blood relative to people to the game. Not that it’s bad, it just also isn’t much of a positive. A solely lateral move. Now, if it was a closer connection, that could potentially be neat, but I think it’d really depend on who/how it was done. I am trying to think if there’s anyone connected to an existing original killer I’d be intereted to see. 🤔
Mmmmm. ...not for Trapper, Max, Sally, Lisa, Talbot, Caleb, Rin, Kazan, Doctor, Ghostface, Clown, or prooobably Anna? I can’t think of anyone attached to her I think would work well. And Legion already has Jeff, so I think for Legion too. Adiris, I’d be interested in seeing some of her followers I think, and Philip, I’d potentially be interested in the kid his boss killed last/Philip tried to save being a survivor, but those are the only ones I can think of rn that have appeal for me. For the licensed killers, another NOES 2010 kid could be neat, but I got no idea how you’d justify it. Someone else from Halloween or Saw could be fun too, as a survivor. Mostly taking people’s family is just depressing, because the only reason I could find for the Entity taking one would be they went looking for family and ended up at the weakspot where their loved one was taken. Oh! It would be fun to get Felix’s dad as a survivor though. Like some closure on that relationship. I don’t have a strong opinion on on it, though. Like, am I super motivated for that to happen? Not really. Could it be done well if they added a family member or friend of someone’s as a killer or survivor? Absolutely. It’s not the idea that calls to my soul specifically, but it could be done well same as most stuff. And I would love to see a killer/survivor pair who kind of like each other and wouldn’t want to hurt each other like, a lot—that’s why I keep pulling for Jennifer’s Boddy and A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night. Both would give us quality sympathetic female killers + a survivor they explicitly like and would not want to hurt, and that’s very tragic and I think has a ton of interest and story potential.
If I was gonna add a blood relative of an existing person though, I would 100% do a parent. Distant relative isn’t that interesting, but someone’s mom getting lost in the fog while trying to find their missing baby? Tragic, sublime, wonderful team mom story potential and I get to play as a mom now. Absolutely recommend.

OK HERE I GO TALKING ABOUT THE TOME. i’m sorry if it gets confusing i’m HORRIBLE at explaining myself/ perspective of things sometimes and i have a jumbled ass brain that cant put things on paper
Anyways let’s about about this tome. Horrible. Most of it is horrible and inconsistent with the original lore that first came out with legion. Like they added fucking arson? the fuck? They live in a small town that shit would. not hold up. They would get caught instantly. I’m gonna be honest, this arson section came out of No where, not even their cosmetics talk about it. I wouldn’t have that much of a problem if it wasn’t a huge ass THEATER but whatever it happened what can I do. Though, it does have alittle symbolism in it.
Okay let’s get alittle jogger on the original lore before comparing it to the original. i’ll just point out the important shit and move on to my thoughts yadda yadda.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/ac5b0a7e5ef08f2b77decbb3cc8d2b55/467535637e42a613-94/s540x810/004d35c7eac81419d01f9d0e9f1e865b482674ba.jpg)
1) Julie is introduced as a girl who is convinced she deserves a better life than in Ormond. I know that doesn’t really tell a lot about her or doesn’t signify who she REALLY is, but it’s important because of her decisions in her tome.
2) When Frank is introduced its seems hinted at he was at multiple parties she has thrown, not one. Kinda leaves things out in the open about possibilities that he was lurking around or not, or something entirely else!
3) One thing I thought was VERY important to keep in mind of the age group of Julies parties. Younger. it is also important about frank and his desire of being admired by a younger audience. When I first read it, I sort of considered it a red flag for numerous reasons. Why would a teen like him care about impressing younger kids? Possibly he likes it because a younger audience is easier to manipulate?
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/96acd6de2e698a9a88730e3d9cca7a1f/467535637e42a613-3e/s540x810/ceec78a2ef12034d6cf814658c39e6de778f487e.jpg)
Then you are introduced with this. Frank seeing Julie and them and their lives as an opportunity to shape them into something more. He instructed their plans, he got them together to do reckless things for his own gain. ( seeing that it got to a point they would do anything HE asked.)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/3b5940487ea76c5e13a984540e295861/467535637e42a613-9e/s540x810/7771e82205138b38b26d6a82c04c0186beb80fc0.jpg)
Which leads to this. Seeing that they were ALL shocked, this was obviously the first time Frank has done something so violent infront of them. Especially when they HESITATE on stabbing the janitor when he ORDERS them to. Seeing even Frank to tell them to move fast is also another crucial part, because it comes off as sheer panic. Even at the end of the lore there’s like, small hints of Frank being paranoid too but that isn’t really crucial to Julies tome.
Now to Julies tome let’s start it off
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/672dbaa2c62b63963beafe1faeff7e61/467535637e42a613-61/s540x810/1237cc583a8e975bff36758d47099fa1898bd2ea.jpg)
couple good things, we figured out the little artist! it’s Julie. cute. And her last name is Ukraine! I’m guessing this is when they first meet, typically ‘omg i drew u hehe..’ moment. Julie invites him to a party yadda, and Frank seems to be a talkative type of dude! really uhm. preachy in a way.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/0c383b07f476abd6f335c53cc95be855/467535637e42a613-7f/s540x810/1913dabbc6cfd23d7bdc7c8aafc47c636b72124b.jpg)
Then we are introduced with julies ‘true colors’ quote on quote. I.. don’t like this at all, I really think bhvr just looked into reddit and their insight of julie of how ‘SHES THE MANIPULATIVE ONE!’ bullshit. but that’s not it. at all. Julie seeks admiration from Frank, showing all her hard work on serial killer. Frank is really into it and Julie eats that shit up. Frank is throwing fuel into the fire to encourage her to go deep into her impulsive thoughts, which you see more in the logs.
Also I found it odd how Frank would read up on Ormond? It’s stated in his original lore he was focused on getting out of Ormond, not educating himself on the place. Anywho.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/f9364b1a61ac52b386ebb705281f1dd2/467535637e42a613-cc/s540x810/c0ef5d4562e8a4b7d49465adf6cae68bb1d0ddac.jpg)
More bullshit of how Julie is just as insane as Frank which is just. No, I refuse to look at it. This is an interesting log to see though. As i’ve stated before, Frank is the one that is in control. He’s the one that pushed Legion into the reckless shit they did. So seeing Julie take control is interesting. If anything, it’s a form of manipulation Frank is trying to pull. It’s only so subtle though, only acting dumb and testing the waters in what she can do.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/f705b4a07c6f8c456f50eed0741e09a0/467535637e42a613-5a/s540x810/4588dd0e76f6742669b42a5a0b22d2f580f1816c.jpg)
This is where things make you go hm! Maybe Frank is really the one in control here. From this point Frank knows how Julie perceives him, they are bonded to the point Julie will tell him anything, even the darkest things. He even encourages her to do these dark desires, which really just shows his manipulative side? EVEN WHEN HE STRAIGHT OUT PREACHES ABT IT ???
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/fd57ed2eb822b436925508764cd558a4/467535637e42a613-3d/s540x810/84f8752afa27ad1947bbada661f9dec0e00e99ae.jpg)
Ok so the arson part is just. a mess. An actual mess. Like the setting of it is a fucking mess and COULVE been executed better, but Franks control over julie is really starting to show. His encouragement is pushing her into her darker desires. the fact he LITERALLY sets up this whole burning down something for HER is just pure peer pressure her to make her desires to become a reality. He wants her to embrace these thoughts.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/57933e62f04ddfc3f0870db157b5d2b3/467535637e42a613-ab/s540x810/61e6c2c0f5fb280948276b6368eb07677833273a.jpg)
and he CONTINUES to push her. He wants to see how far she’ll go. Why? because he is testing her limits. The only thing is that he’s subtle about it so it’s easy to gloss over. Why? because manipulation is easy to be glossed over. When he asks if she would kill from him is also very important. In the video, he once again tests her to see if she was serious about actually killing someone. To his surprise, she did. As I already complained about.
Okay. I’m just going to say it, Julies tome is a mess. It’s inconsistent. It has many holes as to why they killed another janitor, and you know that was at least their first time because of their masks and it doesn’t correlate to the original lore. (seeing as though Frank dares Joey to vandalize the place.) Susie and Joey has some questionable reactions to Julie LITERALLY KILLING A MAN, only to brush it off like it was nothing and just stare at the body while in the original they were in a LITERAL hurry to clean it all up. What I can say is? it could’ve been executed better. Obviously behavior has a time crunch and what not, but they should really look back on what they wrote and really read what they put down. If there was different settings, different actions, this could’ve been SO much better. I don’t particularly enjoy seeing Julie being a troubled child with some darker desires. I can see her as a kid that was for sure looking more in life and cause a little mischief, but not this. Though I will give props to Bhvr showing Franks control, the subtle hints of him testing her limits. He was the one pulling the strings in making her desires become a reality if you really read into it and examine the video. He was the only one with the knife, he was the one that gave her the knife to give her that opportunity. He was also the one to give her that match and set that place on fire. I will say this a million times, Frank is manipulative. He is NOT a good person, as much as he seems like a sweet guy in the story HE ISNT. that’s how manipulators and abusers pull people in. But yeah, it was a mess, i Really don’t enjoy what path they chose for Julie bc now all the incels are gonna be like “FRANK IS GOOD NOT JULIE.” utter bullshit. anwyays yeah that’s my input. also there was shitty inconsistency with Susie and Joey loving that they caused a bunch of terrible car accidents? uhm??? ok??? yet they cant handle stabbing a janitor. Makes sense.
