Honestly that man probs has so much internalised shit from 2000s culture especially being away from home (now I’m kinda sad about how these drivers essentially dedicate their whole lives to a sport from early childhood, little school, often moving away from family like how has no one called the NSPCC on these babies)

Internalised [anything]phobia in Daniel is sooooooo delious to read ESPECIALLYYYY considering how sheltered off from real world experiences most of the drivers were when growing up. Just karting and racing and training and sponsors and money, still getting a bit of regular teenage life between the gaps, but living in an entirely different world view than the regular person. Surrounded by other boys. Loooooot of internalisation happening there. Plus him specifically growing up in that in the 2000's.
