#what the ACTUAL fuck#im really shook that plastic surgeons can just..... buy cadavers to even begin witu#really implicates the industry behind 'ill just donate my body to science'#also just the lack of academic rigor/writing in that report is laughable#also it kind of points to a bigger industry of puff journalism too#where these psuedo experts are elevated because they sit at the crossection of politics and a subject matter#so news organizations allow them to be talking heads without really ensuring theyre the best expert on the subject#because lets be clear she is NOT an expert#shes an advocate for a specific issue but i really hesitate to call her anything else (maybe you could say independent journalist)#but even that seems to give her too much professional weight
