act 2 (again because i deleted it the first time foR FUCK'S SAKE)
cinderkit and brackenkit need mentors but Oh No Bluestar is ignoring Fireheart, so he apprentices them to himself and Graystripe
first patrol: cinderpaw falls through the ice, graystripe goes after her, silverstream saves graystripe, they have a lovey-dovey duet immediately while Fireheart stands by, oblivious, in the background
bluestar confronts fireheart with her paranoia about the shadow and teeth in the forest
the last line of that song is overheard by the clan, who are whipped up into a panicked frenzy-- they have a group number with Fireheart where he tries to reassure them all that Everything Is Fine
cracking under the pressure, he returns to the Twolegsplace to see Smudge (A Simpler Life) who immediately tries to hand over one of his new kittens so Fireheart can raise him in ThunderClan and avoid losing him to the Twolegs (insert joke about "Can't you just give them to Ravenpaw and Barley??" "they've got a dog. that's no place for a kitten!")
He returns with Cloudkit, whom Bluestar grudgingly accepts into the Clan. Yellowfield helps look after him
now extra-cracking under the pressure of looking after cloudkit, training cinderpaw and brackenpaw, and running the Clan, Fireheart angrily tracks down Graystripe and confronts him when he finds him meeting with Silverstream
He echoes the music of A Paw In Both Worlds as he chews out Graystripe for a half-Clan relationship. their friendship is falling apart big time
Fireheart returns to the nursery to check on Cloudkit but ends up needing Yellowfield's comfort and advice. she sings him a much gentler solo (Nursery Tales) about LionClan and TigerClan. fireheart is like ':( i don't even remember my mother' and Yellowfield is like "lmao me neither, my mentor Nightpelt is the one who told me all those stories"
Brackenpaw, fed up with being ignored by Graystripe, convinces Cinderpaw to come with him to find out what Tigerstar's up to so they can prove they're ready to be warriors (A Warrior's Vow, using words from the warrior ceremony as Brackenpaw imagines what they'll be named)
they stumble upon the dogs. a bloodbath. (with "Pack Pack Kill Kill" being chanted in the background)
Graystripe is meeting with silverstream and she tells him she's pregnant, he's delighted and runs back to camp -- but stumbles upon Brackenpaw's body and Cinderpaw, unconscious
Fireheart takes Cinderpaw to be healed by Yellowfield while Bluestar rants about how StarClan has forsaken them (perhaps mirroring ideas of 'giving up' how Yellowfield isn't giving up on Cinderpaw but Bluestar has given up on StarClan)
Fireheart announces no cat can leave camp until they decided what to do with the dogs
Cinderpaw wakes up and explains that someone lured the dogs there (Tigerstar, obviously)
Fireheart settles on the canon plan of luring the dogs to the gorge but the clan is like "you want us to get chased by giant evil dogs?? absolutely not". Fireheart announces he'll be the one to lead them off the cliff because he's willing to risk his life for his clan (playing again on A Warrior's Vow)
they pull off the plan, but Bluestar takes Fireheart's place at the last second and goes over the gorge
Firestar gets his nine lives in musical form
switch to Tigerstar's evil plans -- he's taking over WindClan too and renamed the combined clans TigerClan. he soloes evilly about his plans to destroy all the 'fake' warriors -- ex kittypets, half-clan cats, codebreakers
Firestar names Graystripe his deputy and they reconcile
together, they go with Silverstream to RiverClan to ask Crookedstar to ally with them and fight TigerClan before Tigerstar can take over the forest (Silverstream explains she's carrying kits, Firestar draws on his love for Cloudkit -- it echoes "A Simpler Life" to show the progression from 'i want to escape this shitty world' to 'i want to make this shitty world better for me and all the people i love')
Crookedstar agrees and they form LionClan
Before the big climactic fight, Firestar meets with Cinderpaw and Yellowfield one last time. Cinderpaw says she's going to be a medicine cat apprentice. Firestar is reassured that there's more to Clan life than just killing each other
Big Climactic Fight (altered version of Roar Like Thunder, with lyrics like Heart of a Lion or smth similar)
Tigerstar kills Firestar
Firestar briefly sees StarClan, Bluestar, and Lionheart, and they reassure him that he's more of a leader and a warrior than Tigerstar ever will be
Firestar is reincarnated and kills Tigerstar. Tigerstar doesn't get reincarnated because StarClan never gave him his nine lives on account of being big time evil
TigerClan falls apart without their leader and Nightpelt steps up, even though he's almost an elder, to lead them
Nightpelt offers Yellowfield the chance to return to ShadowClan, promising they'll rebuild it, but Yellowfield says ThunderClan is her home now (the closing statement on the whole 'you don't have to be born in the clan to be part of the clan' theme)
Firestar leads his Clan home. Firestar and Graystripe have one last moment together where Firestar tells Graystripe that if he belongs in RiverClan with Silverstream, he should follow his heart. they'll always be best friends <3
i couldn't fall asleep last night because i was mentally composing a The Prophecies Begin musical

{Now, for the muse mini profiles~
Warriors in general: Warriors is about four Clans of feral cats (ThunderClan, RiverClan, ShadowClan, and WindClan) who have their own society, religion as well as general ways of life depending on which Clan a cat is from. ThunderClan is typically the main Clan throughout the books. Has 6 arcs (6th arc is still ongoing) & 6 books in each arc.
Swiftpaw: Apprentice during the first arc from Fire & Ice until A Dangerous Path. His story is that after ThunderClan's leader, Bluestar (all leaders' names end in the suffix star) was attacked by her deputy, Tigerclaw, after he wanted to be leader instead of her, her mental state gradually deteriorated to the point where she didn't trust anyone in her Clan anymore. She also no longer believed in StarClan (heaven in Warriors terms). She believed everyone was a traitor due to Tigerclaw’s betrayal.
So, none of the apprentices got to become warriors and get warrior names. Except for one, Cloudpaw, who was brought by the current deputy, Fireheart, to raise as a Clan cat from his sister. Bluestar made Cloudpaw a warrior instead of the other apprentices because of him also not believing in StarClan due to him not being Clan-born.
Swiftpaw, the oldest and most experienced apprentice, is jealous and the breaking point is Cloudpaw's warrior ceremony. So, he gathers the other apprentices together and tells them a plan he has. Something has been stealing the prey at a place called Snakerocks, and Swiftpaw thinks they should go after it. But only one agrees to go, Brightpaw. So, they go during the night and arrive at Snakerocks. Little do they know that a pack of about five dogs is there. Big dogs. Swiftpaw winds up dying due to his injuries from the dogs (but I have an AU where he lives).
Brightheart: She was Brightpaw from Swiftpaw’s story. She went with him to go after the dogs, but wound up surviving & receiving a facial scar that resulted in her losing her eye. Bluestar gave her the warrior name Lostface after she was brought back to camp, but was trained to be a true warrior by Cloudtail (Cloudpaw), eventually earning the name Brightheart after Bluestar’s death & Firestar became leader.
Hollyleaf: Best girl. Was born in the Power of Three arc (the 3rd arc) in ThunderClan to Squirrelflight & Brambleclaw, and her brothers are Lionblaze & Jayfeather. But it turned out that her real parents were Leafpool (ThunderClan’s medicine cat) & Crowfeather (a WindClan warrior). One night, a fire broke out, and Ashfur (a former “mate” of Squirrelflight’s) trapped Hollyleaf & her brothers, leading to Squirrelflight revealing they weren’t actually her kits to make Ashfur let them go. With Ashfur planning to reveal that, Hollyleaf killed him & wound up revealing that secret about her true heritage to all four Clans at a Gathering due to the building guilt & general weight of her real heritage crushing her, since she was a strong rule-follower, so knowing her birth broke the warrior code, it hit her hard. She then ran away, but not before trying to kill Leafpool, which she couldn’t do anyway. So, she ran off into a large tunnel system which caved in. She did end up returning back to ThunderClan, though, in the second to last book in the Omen of The Stars arc (the arc after Power of Three)... where she unfortunately died in the book after that in the battle against the Dark Forest (where the evil cats go after they die). I am still bitter about that to this day.
Fallen Leaves: Best boy. Was an Ancient cat, who was alive long before the four Clans existed. There was a ceremony where in order to become a sharp-claw (a warrior in Ancient terms), a cat had to navigate through a tunnel system & make it out upon morning. Fallen Leaves was the next to have that ceremony, and he went into he tunnels. He was doing well at first... until the tunnels flooded. Now, he’s a spirit wandering the tunnels, unaware of the changes that went on above him, still expecting his family to come back for him & quite lonely.
Jayfeather: Disabled Warriors characters deserve so much better, I swear- Blind since birth, Jayfeather still wanted to be a warrior, but he got stuck with being a medicine cat. Prickly, sarcastic, yet skilled as a healer.}

Stonefur Lives AU
What if Stonefur killed Blackfoot and Darkstripe during the conflict at the Bonehill?
Also note: I had to ‘create’ a few characters for this AU due to the allegiances for both RiverClan and ShadowClan being slim in the books.
Stonefur refuses to kill Stormpaw, telling Tigerstar that he is loyal to RiverClan, not TigerClan. “I will take orders from Leopardstar, who would never order me to kill a fellow RiverClan cat.”
Darkstripe is ordered to kill Stonefur but is easily defeated by Stonefur. Stonefur spares him at the moment.
Tigerstar sends in Blackfoot, a much larger warrior, who has a fierce battle with Stonefur. Blackfoot and Stonefur battle in front of all of TigerClan, and Blackfoot almost kills Stonefur before being knocked off balance by Stonefur’s thick tail. Stonefur claws out Blackfoot’s chest and stands over him as the TigerClan warrior bleeds to death.
Darkstripe dies of his injuries and goes to the Dark Forest. Blackfoot goes to StarClan.
“You fight well for a half-clan mongrel. Maybe you do have a place in TigerClan after all.” Tigerstar is pleased with the battle and doesn’t seem affected by the deaths of his two most loyal followers.
Stonefur is kept as a prisoner.
The new ShadowClan deputy is Jaggedtooth.
Tigerstar dies during the gathering due to Scourge. Leopardstar also loses a life during this conflict.
Leopardstar tries to wrangle together TigerClan and releases Stonefur from his prison. He helps her to lead the clan and also urges her to disband TigerClan. “Once BloodClan is dealt with, ShadowClan must return to their own territory.”
TigerClan joins forces with WindClan and ThunderClan.
During the battle against BloodClan, Stonefur kills Brick, one of the highest-ranking members of BloodClan.
After the battle, Leopardstar tells ShadowClan to return to their camp. Jaggedtooth is the leader of ShadowClan and takes the name Jaggedstar, but never receives his nine lives due to his lack of belief in StarClan. Jaggedstar’s deputy is Flintfang, a dark gray and white warrior.
NEW PROPHECY ARC
Stonefur remains the deputy of RiverClan. He convinces Leopardstar to make the Great Journey to the new lake territories.
Stonefur becomes mates with Rosecloud, a light ginger she-cat. Rosecloud and Stonefur have two kits, both toms. Stonefur names the darker tom Blackkit, after Blackfoot. “Blackfoot never deserved to die. I never should’ve killed him. He was a loyal warrior to ShadowClan and would’ve made a great leader one day. I owe this to him.” The other kit, a white and ginger tom, is named Sunkit.
Stonefur is the mentor to Hawkpaw and tries his best to curb Hawkpaw’s aggression.
Hawkpaw has a natural talent for fighting and it doesn’t take Stonefur very long to realize that he is Tigerstar’s son.
Once it is publicly revealed that Hawkpaw and Mothpaw are Tigerstar’s kits, Stonefur tells Hawkpaw the truth about Tigerstar. “Tigerstar was called Tigerclaw when he was a warrior of ThunderClan. He was a brave and loyal warrior and wanted the best for ThunderClan, but his ambition got the best of him and he turned dark. A shadow fell over Tigerclaw, one that he couldn’t escape. He ended up killing Redtail, the previous deputy of ThunderClan, and then was made deputy once Lionheart died during a ShadowClan raid. Tigerclaw attempted to kill Bluestar but was stopped by Firestar, who was Fireheart at the time. Tigerclaw ended up becoming the leader of ShadowClan a while later and when he was new to his leadership, he tried to destroy all of ThunderClan by using a pack of dogs to shred them. His plan failed, but Bluestar died to save her clan. Tigerstar joined forces with RiverClan to create TigerClan. He tried to kill me when he found out I was half-clan. Bluestar of ThunderClan was my mother and Oakheart of RiverClan was my father. Tigerstar died after a fight with Scourge. He was a brave and strong warrior, but blind to his own demons and in the end, he destroyed himself.”
Hawkpaw shuns his father in the Dark Forest, refusing the extra training. Brambleclaw also refuses the training since Tigerclaw couldn’t use Hawkpaw as an incentive. “You haven’t changed a bit Tigerstar. You couldn’t get Hawkpaw to side with you, and you won’t get me.”
Leopardstar loses her second life with a battle against WindClan, and her third life from an infected wound.
Stonefur kills Jaggedstar when the two cats clash over a border issue. Flintfang is now Flintstar and earns his nine lives. Russetfur is his deputy.
Hawkpaw earns his warrior name: Hawkfrost. Stonefur is proud to have such a new strong warrior in RiverClan.
When Mistyfoot is stolen by twolegs, Leopardstar loses another life trying to save her and Stonefur is part of the patrol to rescue her.
Firestar never gets caught in the fox trap.
Blackkit and Sunkit, Stonefur’s sons, become apprentices and Blackpaw is mentored by Leopardstar and Sunpaw by Mistyfoot.
Blackpaw is stronger and a better fighter than Sunpaw, but Sunpaw proves to be faster and a better hunter.
ThunderClan and RiverClan clash due to Leopardstar not agreeing with Firestar over certain drought-policies. Mistyfoot is slain during this battle, killed by Rainwhisker and Spiderleg in an accident. “She slipped on blood while defending herself against Rainwhisker and Spiderleg. It was then that Spiderleg lashed out, aiming for her legs at the time, but as she fell, he clawed out her chest. It was an accident Stonefur.”
Stonefur vows revenge against ThunderClan, saying they are to blame for the death of his sister. Reedwhisker is the new mentor to Sunpaw.
POWER OF THREE ARC
In between “The New Prophecy” and “Power of Three” Leopardstar loses two more lives. She has four more lives.
Sunpaw and Blackpaw are now warriors: Sunstreak and Blackeye.
Stonefur is on a patrol when he sees Spiderleg on a border patrol with ThunderClan. He remembers that Spiderleg is the one that killed Mistyfoot. He leaps over the border and tackles Spiderleg, scoring him across the cheek and shoulder. Stonefur is pulled off by Blackclaw, Voletooth, and Birchfall.
Thornclaw, who was leading the ThunderClan patrol, agrees to forget the incident. Spiderleg says that he never meant to kill Mistyfoot, that that would go against the warrior code. “I’m sorry Stonefur. She was a brave and loyal warrior. She never deserved to die like that.”
Stonefur apologizes for attacking, realizing that Mistyfoot wouldn’t want to have been avenged.
Rosecloud has a second litter of kits, two she-cats, and two toms. Stonefur boasts to everyone about his strong mate and large litter. The kits are named Leafkit, Cherrykit, Lizardkit, and Rockkit.
During the battle of all four clans on ThunderClan territory, Stonefur battles against Lionpaw from ThunderClan. Stonefur is beaten by the apprentice and shocked when Lionpaw almost kills him, only to be stopped by Rainwhisker: “Warriors don’t kill Lionpaw! He’s beaten, now let’s go!”
During the eclipse, Stonefur watches as Sol tries to take credit for the act. He doesn’t believe the loner.
Firestar banishes Sol from ThunderClan territory.
Flintstar, the leader of ShadowClan, doesn’t fall for Sol’s tricks and banishes him from ShadowClan territory.
When Sol shows up in RiverClan, Leopardstar orders Stonefur to attack him. Stonefur very easily beats the loner and is ready to kill him when Leopardstar says that Sol had learned his lesson about messing with the clans.
Sol never tries to control WindClan and instead leaves the clans alone for the time being.
It is revealed that Leopardstar lost another life during the battle. A ShadowClan warrior was the cause.
Sunstreak dies in a fox trap.
Hawkfrost saves Rockkit and Leafkit when the two kits wander off. Stonefur gives Hawkfrost Leafkit to mentor when she is an apprentice.
Rockpaw is given to Rippletail, Cherrypaw to Dawnflower, and Lizardpaw to Pouncetail.
When Hollyleaf reveals the truth about Crowfeather and Leafpool, Stonefur defends half-clan kits.
Leopardstar loses the rest of her lives when a tree falls in RiverClan camp and crushes her.
Stonefur earns his nine lives. Hawkfrost is the new deputy of RiverClan.
His nine lives: Mistyfoot - loyalty and devotion
Mosskit - a mother’s love
Bluestar - clear sight
Blackfoot - bravery
Leopardstar - honesty, compassion, kindness
Oakheart - strength to overcome anything
Feathertail - always knowing what is the right thing to do, even if it doesn’t benefit your own clan.
Crookedstar - selflessness
Shellheart - a father’s devotion spread beyond just kits, but to every member of your clan
OMEN OF THE STARS
Rosecloud died during the time between the two arcs. Stonestar mourned for moons. Hawkfrost took command during the first moon of his mourning.
When Stonestar sees Lionblaze again, he comments about how strong and large the ThunderClan warrior is: “He’s a force to be reckoned with, but I’m glad he seems to have a clear mind.”
Stonestar recognizes a shift in some of his warriors: Minnowtail and Icewing. Two warriors being trained by the Dark Forest. He tasks Hawkfrost with watching them closely.
Hawkfrost has proven to be a great deputy and a loyal warrior. He mentored Leafpaw to be one of the best hunters in the clan.
Leafpaw, Rockpaw, Lizardpaw, and Cherrypaw are all warriors: Leafwhisker, Rockstorm, Lizardbite, and Cherryspirit.
Stonestar loses his first life by drowning trying to save a kit.
During the Great Battle against the Dark Forest, Hawkfrost and Stonestar managed to keep Icewing and Minnowtail on the side of the Clans.
Stonestar loses a life during the battle, defending a pair of WindClan apprentices. Bluestar and Mistyfoot kill the Dark Forest warrior that killed him. Bluestar, Oakheart, Mistyfoot, and Stonestar all team up and dive back into the battle.
Cherryspirit dies during the battle. Hawkfrost and Brambleclaw team up to help drive away Tigerstar, when he is then killed by Firestar.
Firestar ends up surviving during the battle due to Mothwing being near the area where Firestar and Tigerstar had fought. Mothwing saved Firestar’s life.
Conclude: Stonestar leads his clan for many, many seasons. He ends up losing his last life by saving Rockstorm’s kits. Hawkfrost becomes Hawkstar and leads RiverClan with sharp claws and wise words, Hawkstar is a fierce leader with a compassionate side for those within his clan.

Warrior Cats Rewrite AU - A Dangerous Path
I’ve never used scheduling with a post before so I hope this works
--
Prologue remains the same, with dogs being released from the treecut place and finding their way into the forest.
The clans react to Tigerstar becoming the new ShadowClan leader, most with apprehension from ThunderClan and RiverClan. Whitestorm speaks for ThunderClan, although can’t help but stare sadly at his brother for most of the time.
ThunderClan hears of the happenings at home, and Bluestar becomes furious at the events. She forces Whitestorm to double patrols despite the lack of warriors and imbalance of apprentices, refusing to make any more of them warriors.
Fireheart converses with Yellowfang, who admits that she misses Spottedleaf’s company.
A quarter-moon passes, and a patrol picks up scent of dogs near Snakerocks. Fireheart and Graystripe meet Mistyfoot at Sunningrocks, who tells them that Crookedstar is ill and the whole clan is worried about Tigerstar.
Yellowfang has a dream about strange voices chanting “pack, pack” and “kill, kill”. Bluestar ignores her dream, although Whitestorm takes it seriously.
A little time passes. Speckletail is starting to press Bluestar and Whitestorm about making Mistlekit and Snowkit apprentices as they’ve reached beyond 6 moons, and Fireheart assesses Thornpaw, Brightpaw and Swiftpaw, declaring that they are ready to become warriors. Bluestar ignores both of them.
While playing, Bramblekit bites Snowkit’s tail, accidently hurting him. Bramblekit is hostile in response and Goldenflower tells him off, but says to Fireheart that someone needs to tell her kits about Tigerstar’s deeds. Brackenfur expresses concern about Snowkit, wanting to be his mentor.
Fireheart asks again about making the apprentices into warriors, but Bluestar refuses, as Swiftpaw is mentored by Longtail and she doesn’t believe the others deserve it due to “emotional trauma”.
Yellowfang and Fireheart head to fourtrees to Yellowfang’s Highstones meeting. They meet Runningnose and Littlecloud, his new apprentice, who admit Nightstar didn’t have nine lives, and the rogue cats seem to be fitting in fine.
Fireheart dreams of a forest and tries to call out to Spottedleaf, to no avail. In the morning, he, Graystripe, Cloudpaw and Sandstorm go out hunting. All four of them meet Princess, Cloudpaw finding out she is his mother.
The patrol meets Stonefur, Mistyfoot and Swandancer at the RiverClan border, who mention a possible RiverClan and ShadowClan alliance, and that Graypool is missing, who all three are looking for.
Fireheart later notices Graypool climbing a slope, and follows her. She reveals that Mistyfoot and Stonefur are not her kits to Tigerstar, before realising she is hallucinating and that he isn’t Oakheart. Tigerstar makes her fall and hurt her head, before finishing her off.
Fireheart leads the RiverClan patrol there, not mentioning the conversation.
Bramblekit catches his first bit of prey as a small shrew that wandered into camp. Yellowfang then reveals that Snowkit is deaf, and Bluestar believes this to be a curse sent by StarClan, meaning that he can never be a warrior.
Fireheart takes a patrol to Snakerocks, finding evidence of dogs and now believing that there are wild dogs on the loose. Whitestorm supports this, and he found more on RiverClan’s border. Bluestar refuses to believe this, blaming WindClan.
Speckletail tries to teach Snowkit hunting techniques while Mistlekit watches. A hawk plunges into camp and takes Snowkit, and despite Brackenfur and Swiftpaw trying to run after it, the hawk gets away.
Bluestar declares war on StarClan due to this, frightening the whole clan. This prompts Cloudpaw to reveal to Brightpaw and Fireheart that he never believed in StarClan to begin with.
Whitestorm tells the clan about the dogs and not to panic, supported by Yellowfang, who is scared that this is another corrupted leadership in the making.
Speckletail falls into a depression, moving into the elders den and leaving Mistlekit behind. Mistlekit understands, but is still upset, and instead busies herself by babysitting the kits.
Around a half-moon later, Bluestar leads her clan to the gathering. Fireheart meets Gorsepaw, Storkpaw and Quailpaw, but becomes close to Gorsepaw quickest.
Leopardstar has taken over RiverClan, and remains close to Tigerstar. Mistyfoot is her deputy. Bluestar and Tallstar both accuse each other of stealing prey.
Bluestar demands that Whitestorm lead a battle patrol to WindClan, but the deputy refuses on the grounds that ThunderClan is weak and will struggle. Bluestar demands that it happens and that she will lead to herself. Fireheart convinces Whitestorm to disobey his aunt to avoid battle.
Fireheart and Whitestorm go to arrange a meeting between Tallstar and Bluestar, but on the way, spots Darkstripe taking Tawnykit and Bramblekit to meet their father. Whitestorm orders Darkstripe to take them back, and he and Fireheart continue.
Fireheart gets a nearby patrol’s attention, convincing Gorsepaw and the rest of the patrol to take Whitestorm and Fireheart to the camp.
Whitestorm tells Deadfoot of Bluestar’s plan, and they agree to meet at Fourtrees. They tell Tallstar to take a message to Bluestar through Barley about the meeting.
The party of warriors and apprentices is picked, and Whitestorm tells them of his peace-seeking intentions. The party reluctantly agrees.
Barley arrives and tells Bluestar that Tallstar wants to talk to her, and she eventually agrees.
Both clans arrive at fourtrees, and Bluestar is finally convinced that WindClan didn’t steal prey, avoiding the battle. Back at camp, Bluestar accused Whitestorm of treachery, and Fireheart spoke up about this being his idea. She accuses the whole of ThunderClan as traitors.
Bluestar goes missing not long after, and Whitestorm refuses to send a patrol out to find her. She returns the next day, having challenged StarClan at Highstones, finding out that evil was loose in the forest.
Time passes and the forest gradually gets colder as leaf-fall nears. Bluestar takes a patrol to Sunningrocks where they fight RiverClan, and are outnumbered. Swiftpaw goes to get reinforcements and arrives back with a hunting patrol, driving RiverClan away. During this fight, Fireheart tells Mistyfoot and Stonefur about Bluestar being their mother. This stops them from harming her, but they are hostile to her.
Bluestar decides to promote Cloudpaw to a warrior early due to his disbelief in StarClan, naming him Cloudtail. This infuriates the apprentices and most of the clan.
The next day, Fernpaw says that Brightpaw and Swiftpaw have gone to Sunningrocks to try and find who was stealing prey. Whitestorm, Smokepaw, Fireheart, Rosetail, Longtail and Cloudtail go to find the apprentices. They find both of them barely clinging to life. Smokepaw dashes off to get Yellowfang.
The duo are taken back to the medicine cat den. In anger, Bluestar makes them both warriors, but renames them as Lostface and Houndchaser, to remind StarClan of what they have done, believing that StarClan was punishing them. Lostface recovers more than Houndchaser.
Bluestar holds an apprentice ceremony for Mistlekit, apprenticing her to Sandstorm.
After going out on patrol with Sandstorm, Mistlepaw and Thornpaw (to help get his mind off the attack), Fireheart goes to the nursery and watches with Greystripe as Goldenflower tells her kits of their father’s deeds. Bramblekit is stubborn, refusing to believe this.
Houndchaser passes away due to infection from his injuries, as they wouldn’t heal. Lostface moves to the elders den.
At the next gathering, Graystripe meets Featherpaw, who has become an apprentice to Mistyfoot. Mistyfoot expresses how Leopardstar has gotten even closer to Tigerstar.
Tigerstar demands to have his kits back, relaying the poor record that ThunderClan has, referencing Snowkit, Houndchaser and Lostface. Bluestar promises him an answer.
Lostface, Cloudtail, Greystripe and Fireheart go to twolegplace, meeting Princess. She is scared by Lostface, who takes it badly, especially upon seeing her face in a puddle.
To spite Tigerstar and solidifying their place in the clan, Bluestar makes Bramblekit and Tawnykit apprentices, apprenticing them to Fireheart and Brackenfur respectively. Greystripe seems unhappy that Stormkit has been left behind, especially since Featherpaw is now an apprentice.
Longtail tells Whitestorm that Tigerstar has been feeding some dogs that live at Snakerocks with rabbits. Going there, they find a trail, and they go along it to discover Brindleface dead at the end of the trail.
Brindleface is carried back to camp. After a vigil, and Cloverpaw being transferred yet again to Dappletail, Whitestorm decides that all cats should leave camp and go to Sunningrocks, while a patrol of warriors and apprentices go to lure the dogs over the gorge.
Fireheart stops Darkstripe leaving camp with Bramblepaw and Tawnypaw again, and Whitestorm and Brackenfur watch over them.
Bluestar leads a patrol to Snakerocks. Greystripe lures the dogs over, being a quick runner, and the cats begin to fight. Tigerstar appears, leaping on Fireheart to allow the Pack leader to grab him. Bluestar manages to tackle the leader, but falls into the gorge with the leader, scattering the pack.
Whitestorm tries to save Bluestar but is unsuccessful until Mistyfoot and Stonefur show up. The leader apologises to StarClan before passing away, leaving ThunderClan to Whitestorm.
Time Elapsed: 3 moons

Re-write Part 3
-with the news that graystripe has moved to riverclan to be with his kits bluestar and whitestorm just kind of quietly accept that their family can’t have a normal relationship ever
-frostfur is pissed because it seems like graystripe is running away from his actions causing his apprentice’s death, but she doesn’t want to be and tries to hold it in, hoping that the bigger reason why he left was because he wanted to be with his kits and if so she can respect that and makes her very slightly less angry
-with everything going on, bramblekit and tawnykit “sneak out” again and darkstripe “finds them” outside of camp /again/
-it takes brightpaw over a day to regain consciousness, but the bleeding has finally calmed down and she’s going to be okay
-bluestar wants to make thornpaw, cinderpaw, and brightpaw warriors now because thornpaw’s ready, cinderpaw has gracefully caught up and is doing really well adapting, and brightpaw will need help adapting to hunt and fight with only one eye but before this she was basically ready to become a warrior, but thornpaw and cinderpaw want to wait for their sister to be healed
-bluestar agrees, though she didn’t want almost as many apprentices as there are warriors, but it’s close to when ashkit, fernkit, snowkit, and cloudkit should be apprenticed
-bluestar wanted to give snowpaw to willowpelt but she’s gonna have kits any day now, so she gives him to frostfur instead, gives ashpaw to whitestorm, decides to finally trust longtail and gives him his first apprentice in fernpaw, and even though he’s technically still mentoring cinderpaw, bluestar gives cloudpaw to fireheart because who else could mentor this fluffy idiot
-darkstripe is overly mad that his son is being mentored by whitestorm
-willowpelt gives birth to sorrelkit, rainkit, and sootkit hooray
-a few days after silverstream gives birth, crookedstar loses his last life to greencough and leopardfur takes his place as leader and is now leopardstar and she names stonefur as her deputy, graystripe is afraid she’ll kick him out, but luckily she tells him that as long as he’s loyal, he may stay
-meanwhile, dead rabbits keep appearing closer and closer to the thunderclan camp, seriously, in THIS leaf-bare
-patchpelt just keels over and dies because of “stomach pain”
-in the midst of mourning and darkstripe going “at least we’ll get more food” because fuck you darkstripe, brindleface is found murdered close to camp, her scent is covered in rabbit scent and wet moss, everyone correctly guesses that tigerclaw must have killed her and is probably the one killing the rabbits and slowly training and leading the dogs to the camp, but he’s been hiding his scent so no one can tell it’s him, darkstripe says that that’s reach it couldn’t possibly be tigerclaw, but no one believes him and why isn’t he angry that the mother of his children has been brutally murdered and almost made into dog food
-”hey at least it wasn’t willowpelt” he says ominously
-everyone agrees that the dogs need to get out of their territory because they’ll know where their camp is now, so they make a plan to trick them into jumping off of the cliff over the riverclan waterfall
-ashpaw, fernpaw, and cloudpaw want to be in on it but since they’ve only been apprentices for like half a moon bluestar obviously says no, whitestorm also tells bluestar to not be a part of it because he doesn’t want her to die for the final time
-before they go bluestar names frostfur’s children warriors, naming cinderpaw cinderpelt, thornpaw thornclaw, and brightpaw, who’s been starting to leave the medicine cat den, brightheart, she also gives a naming ceremony for the dead brackenpaw, saying that she would have named him brackenfur after his mother
-a patrol of thornclaw, fireheart, sandstorm, whitestorm, and longtail take turns having the pack of dogs chase them through thunderclan territory until they reach the waterfall, but instead of slipping in they manage to stop
-bluestar had been hiding there the whole time and attacks the leader dog, both her and the dogs falling into the waterfall
-thornclaw and longtail run back to tell everyone else what happened while sandstorm, fireheart, and whitestorm run to help bluestar
-the dogs are dead, but they soon find stonefur and mistyfoot pulling bluestar onto sunningrocks
-mistyfoot presses onto bluestar’s chest and she coughs up water, looking up she’s extremely happy at how brave and talented her children are and she’s so glad they’re such great and respected warriors
-”wait you’re our real mom???” “wait they’re bluestar’s kits that disappeared???” whitestorm nods
-bluestar tells them that she wished she could’ve raised them, but she’s so glad they have a happy life in riverclan and she’s so thankful to graypool and oakheart for raising them and loving them, and she is glad that all her living kits, including whitestorm and fireheart, are all finally together with her, she whispers that she wished that they could’ve raised them all, together, before passing away for the final time,
-whitestorm elaborates through grief that bluestar had given up her kits so she could become leader instead of his father, thistleclaw, who was an evil and bloodthirsty cat who would’ve had thunderclan dive into an era of nothing but war and death, and that mosskit died on the journey to riverclan, bluestar had never fully forgiven herself, and that she wished that her, graypool, oakheart, and thrushpelt could have all raised them happily together
-mistyfoot and stonefur nod and are understanding, mistyfoot saying she had sometimes thought they were born in thunderclan because she had vague memories of the thunderclan camp even though she had thought she had never been there, and her and stonefur both felt like they had met mousefur and runningwind before they were apprentices, as it turns out they had once been den mates in the nursery
-they decline sitting vigil for bluestar though, as mistyfoot has to get back to her kits and see how her son, perchkit, is doing as he is very sick, along with many riverclan cats, crookedstar dying of greencough was only the beginning. and stonefur must get back to his duties as deputy
-everyone mourns greatly for bluestar and whitestorm realizes this means he is now leader of thunderclan, but he takes a full day to mourn for his adopted mom and aunt before leaving for the moonstone with yellowfang
-after him and yellowfang leave, sorrelkit secretly follows darkstripe as he sneaks bramblekit and tawnykit out of camp, she wants to go too “hey where are you going?” she squeaks, darkstripe tells her to come with him and roughly grabs her by the scruff, but bramblekit and tawnykit, being almost 6 moons old now yell at him to stop and goldenflower and willowpelt run to find their kits, darkstripe drops sorrelkit, dazing her and willowpelt scoops her up to get her away, goldenflower demands to know what was happening, fireheart, longtail, and sandstorm come to see what’s happening and everyone goes back into camp, darkstripe tells everyone that bramblekit and tawnykit were trying to go see their father because they want to see him again and they want to look up to him and be like him and they were trying to take sorrelkit with them, tawnykit calls his bullshit as well as goldenflower, saying that they’d never be anything like their father no matter what anyone says
-tawnykit and bramblekit tell everyone that darkstripe has taken them to see tigerclaw multiple times, always meeting in shadowclan territory, but they were told not to tell anyone, and darkstripe had been telling tigerclaw everything that was happening in thunderclan, sorrelkit mews that she had just wanted to see what they were doing and followed them
-everyone agrees to put a guard on darkstripe until whitestorm and yellowfang got back, mousefur and longtail offer to be the first guards and darkstripe is made to stay in the old elders den that got charred in the fire
-whitestorm, now whitestar, and yellowfang get back the next day, with bad news, they came across a patrol lead by deadfoot while in windclan and he said that shadowclan had been acting very weird for a long time, and many cats have apparently gotten sick and they believe nightstar might have recently died, and they don’t know who his new deputy was because the former deputy had died of the illness, and now they keep finding shadowclan scent on their territory, whitestar tells everyone they need to be on extra guard since shadowclan had been so secretive and barely attending gatherings since nightstar had been so sick
-goldenflower is the one to inform whitestar about what darkstripe did- and has been doing, whitestar is infuriated at his half brother and his first act as thunderclan’s leader is to banish him, he tells him that if he is still so loyal to tigerclaw that he can go join him, darkstripe is chased out, sandstorm and longtail chasing him off into twoleglace, surprisingly, but before he goes darkstripe admits that it was him and tigerclaw who set the camp on fire and that all of thunderclan will die as soon as tigerclaw gets his way
-after darkstripe is chased off, whitestar decides that before he names his deputy he must make bramblekit and tawnykit apprentices, he gives tawnykit to cinderpelt and is about to give bramblekit to thornclaw when bramblekit speaks up, he doesn’t want to become a warrior, he wants to become yellowfang’s apprentice and become a medicine cat, he’d wanted it ever since she and fireheart saved him from the fire, and he wanted there to be no way that he could follow in his father’s pawsteps and instead make up for what he’s done by healing
-yellowfang gruffly agrees that perhaps he will make a good medicine cat and comments that she needs an apprentice because she’s not getting any younger
-whitestar then names goldenflower as his deputy, everyone is shocked, including goldenflower, because they expected fireheart or sandstorm to be chosen, but goldenflower humbly accepts her new role, tawnypaw and bramblepaw are ecstatic that their mother is now deputy of their clan
-at the next gathering, shadowclan and riverclan were the first to be there, because they came together, cats from both clans intertwined under the four great oaks, with tigerclaw, now tigerstar, sitting on top of the great rock, leopardstar and blackfoot sitting underneath where deputies usually sit, and darkstripe and dustpaw not too far away, along with brokenstar’s/tigerstar’s group of rogues, which had even more members now than ever before

holy crap these are soooo much better than my old 2015 designs
Currently imagining a Warrior Cats arc 1 role swap AU where Greypaw ("Fluffy") is the kittypet and Firepaw is the Clan-born cat.
Other changes in the AU:
Firepaw's family are Clanborn too
Princess ("Leafpaw") leaves the Clan before their Warrior ceremony, and becomes a kittypet, then having Cloudkit, so that arc continues as it is in canon --Jake met Nutmeg/"Seedpelt" (Fire's mom) within the Clans
Willow is a rogue, having Darkstripe first with Tawnyspots. She gave Darkkit to his father, as she was certain a Clan wouldn't take her in. Tawnyspots brought the kit into ThunderClan with a story of 'finding a lost kit'. Willow then became a kittypet when pregnant with Greykit
(btw, I saw that Greystripe's father is now just "unknown" on the official family trees, so I feel that him having an unknown kittypet father works out, here. It used to be Patchpelt, but since he's been removed now, it works if Willow isn't related to Patchpelt whatsoever either. It’s not like Willowpelt or Patchpelt ever played a huge role in books where they were growing up - Spottedleaf and Redtail were the focused-on siblings out of the four. I think in the books Willow and Patch are never even mentioned as being siblings? Thus, Willow gets to not be a part of the family anymore lol since it doesn’t change anything important there)
Into The Wild events
"Fluffy" grew up with Willow's stories of his older half-brother, whom he thought very brave and lucky, and heroic, for living in the wild. So, he sought to do the same in Into The  Wild, and met Firepaw. Willow ended up coming with him, not wanting to lose another son this time.
Willow and Fluffy enter ThunderClan together, and Willow feels that a certain dark, striped cat looks very familiar... Tawnyspots had died at this point, and had told Darkstripe of his origins before he'd passed. Darkstripe, resentful at his heritage, is the one to fight Fluffy.
During the fight, Willow realizes that Darkstripe is indeed her son. Fluffy beats Darkstripe similarly to how Rusty beats Longtail in canon (it isn't Longtail in this scenario as I feel he is more Firepaw's rival), he becomes Greypaw
Wanting to stay with her sons, Willow pleads to become a part of the Clan as well, and is hesitantly accepted. She becomes Willowpelt, and similarly to how Firepaw was mentored by Bluestar, Tigerclaw, & Lionheart, Willowpelt is taught by Darkstripe (begrudgingly) & Whitestorm
At this current time, Lionheart is Firepaw's mentor, and thus while Willowpelt is educated by following along with Darkstripe & Dustpaw, and Whitestorm & Sandpaw, Greypaw is educated alongside Lionheart & Firepaw and Tigerclaw & Ravenpaw. similar to canon here.
During this time, Willowpelt manages to mend her relationship with her son Darkstripe slightly, but he still resents her past and her actions. Willowpelt also grows close to Whitestorm at this point, and he later becomes her mate to sire Sorrelkit, Rainkit, Sootkit - as in canon.
After a time of temporary mentorship, Greypaw is then eventually officially apprenticed to Bluestar, as Firepaw was in canon. Greypaw is probably going to one day be Greystar in this AU, if he's truly role-swapping with Firepaw. Lol
Fire and Ice & Forest of Secrets events
Still debating whether the Silverstream romance happens with Greystripe, or not. I think it still would. But then he’d truly go and pull a Bluestar and give up his kits to RiverClan to become deputy, and only Fireheart knows of all this. Silverstream remains alive during the birth, as she stays in the RiverClan camp instead of seeking out Greystripe like in the books - thus she was able to get medical attention as soon as her labour began.
Greystripe does not join RiverClan here, as the Wiki states “To avoid a battle, Graystripe brings Stormkit and Featherkit to RiverClan and decides to stay with them since they are the only living connections he has to Silverstream.“ Since Silverstream is still alive, they simply continue their secret meetings, and although he wishes to be with his family, he does not gain the desire to join RiverClan.
However, she did still suffer heavy blood loss and anemia, and was not able to fully recover and only got worse over time - especially considering that she still sneaks off with her kits to go see Greystripe in secret, instead of resting - so she does still die later on, before the kits are apprenticed.
Before she passes, Silverstream wishes for the kits to join their father in ThunderClan, as they’ll have no remaining kin in RiverClan after her passing. As her final action, she attempts to sneak out one last time to take them to Greystripe, but is far too weak due to anemia complications. Her best friend Mistyfoot finds her outside of the camp, as she was keeping a closer eye on her weakening friend. Silverstream tells Mistyfoot of who Featherkit & Stormkit’s father is, and is determined for her final action to be passing them on to their father. Mistyfoot believes the kits belong with RiverClan, but wants to honour her dying friend’s wish, and helps to get them all to the border.
Greystripe had been at Sunningrocks at the time, worried about the decreasing condition of his mate, plus he hadn’t been seeing her as often, and commonly waited near the area in case she arrived. The scene of her death is in the same place ad plays out similarly to Silverstream’s death in canon, with the exceptions that their kits and Mistyfoot are present, and it’s not a birth scene lol. Greystripe still panics and Fireheart fetches Cinderpaw (who is still med-apprentice, as Fireheart was still the one to suspect Tigerclaw, and Tigerclaw still tried to trap and kill him, causing Cinderpaw’s accident), with Tigerclaw in tow. Silverstream is too far-gone, however, and passes away with her kits and mate next to her.
Thus, Stormkit & Featherkit join ThunderClan, and Silverstream still passes away and is buried at the same area that she does in-canon. (and Cinderpaw is still traumatized the same way because she couldn’t help the dying cat)
Mistyfoot accompanies the group back to ThunderClan to ensure the kit’s safety on the way. Greystripe is devastated by the loss, and doesn’t keep it a secret anymore that he is a dad, and he dotes on his kits just, SO much, same as in canon haha. Anyway, ThunderClan finds out, obviously, about Grey’s half-clan babs, and Bluestar is initially furious (because oops, somebody made the same mistake she did! and omg, it was her own apprentice!!!) but Mistyfoot defends Silverstream’s family and tells Bluestar off for being so harsh while they’re grieving a loss. She says that TC should be grateful that ThunderClan is gaining two amazing cats, and they’re only here because of her best friend’s dying wish, and that she’d whisk them back to RC if they weren’t appreciated here. Bluestar then softens up at her (secret!!!) daughter’s words.
After Mistyfoot leaves and returns to RC, Bluestar enters the nursery where Greystripe and Fireheart are with the kits. (oh dude that sounds like Fire’s their second dad? i’m gonna do it. make em dads make em GAY parents and fire totally adopts storm & feather and grey has his bf to help him thru this extremely tough time UNLIKE IN CANON WHERE HE WAS ALL ALONE TO GRIEVE WTF ERINS) Anyway, Bluestar still explains the same as in canon how she’s mistyfoot and stonefur’s mother, etc, except in this version Fireheart isn’t the only one she tells, Greystripe now knows as well.
Fireheart & Greystripe are stretching their legs and taking a break from the nursery, with Fireheart’s apprentice Cloudpaw in-tow. The shit with Tigerclaw still goes down, but this time it’s Greystripe who saves Bluestar’s life (Fireheart heads straight for the nursery and guards Featherkit & Stormkit in this AU, so it’s Greystripe who sees Tigerclaw heading into Bluestar’s den) and she makes him deputy for multiple reasons - she sees her missed chances in him and wants him to have the full, happy life that she didn’t get the chance to. and she trusts him as much as she does Fireheart in this AU since Grey didn’t turn traitor in this one (and i mean he was her apprentice too so they’re pretty close!)
Rising Storm, A Dangerous Path events
Pretty standard role-swap AU from here as far as Greystripe and Fireheart are concerned, other than the fact that Fire is still Cloud’s mentor, that didn’t swap at all lol.
Fireheart isn’t stretched as thin as Greystripe is the deputy, leaving him more time for Cloudpaw’s training. Cloudpaw doesn’t behave as difficult as he does in canon about doing kittypet things. He’s still a lil shit though
Greystripe is healing quite nicely from Silverstream’s passing, as he is in his own familiar clan, has his children and his best friend BOYFRIEND with him, and has his deputy duties to thoroughly distract him and keep him on his feet. Bluestar is still degrading mentally, the same as in-canon, so he worries about her as well
Fireheart is still the one to find out about Tigerclaw and the dog pack, and their attack, and he is still the one to try and rescue Bluestar and be with her at her death along with Stonefur and Mistyfoot. Greystripe is with his kits at the time of evacuation, leading the Clan to safety as well
(This is such a cool contrast btw!!! omg cause the wiki says “After his leader's death, Fireheart looks at Graystripe. The dark gray tom dips his head in the deepest respect, and Fireheart is horrified because he realizes he is now the leader of ThunderClan, and has lost the easy friendship he shared with Graystripe.” and GOD my AU is like, holy shit, the exact opposite with their relationship. they are closer than ever! this is cool as hell)
The Darkest Hour events
Greystripe becomes Greystar. Mysteriously, he is not granted a 9th life, as the cat destined to give him that life is not present. He has no time to be confused, however, as the ceremony is still interrupted by a prophecy, as it is in-canon.
Whitestorm is still the one appointed deputy
Greystar is extremely conflicted and disappointed in his kin when he is forced to exile Darkstripe. Happens similar to canon, but it’s Greystar instead of Firestar of course
Not entirely sure yet what brings the gang over to RiverClan to save Misty & Stone from being executed. Also not sure if Stone is still going to be killed like in canon, or if I’ll let him live in this version.... I’ll figure it out tho
After Whitestorm dies, Fireheart is obviously appointed as Greystar’s deputy
Firestarheart’s Quest events
When Willowpelt dies in the beginning of the book, Greystar is obviously devastated, and has even more reason to stay with his remaining family during this time - hence, I did not swap his role with Fireheart’s role for this book’s journey.
Fireheart & Sandstorm still journey together to restore SkyClan
They become very good friends on the quest and do indeed still become mates and have Leafkit & Squirrelkit (Greystar sees them as much as family as he could! Cats are basically one big family community after all. Besides, with Fire and Grey’s relaxed and extremely close relationship, I don’t think that Grey would feel threatened or jealous over Sandstorm at all! So Fireheart can totally be Greystar’s bf as well as Sandstorm’s husband at the same time :D)

Episode 40: Chapters 15-17
Chapter 15
Cindepelt tells Fireheart that Bluestar was missing when she came to check on her again in her den and that she hadn’t eaten her poppy seeds. Fireheart immediately jumps into action, but Whitestorm is bizarrely unbothered by the situation and says she may just be patrolling. Fireheart tries to stay calm, asking some other apprentices and warriors to keep an eye out for her. Most of the other cats aren’t too worried, and Sandstorm in particular isn’t surprised, expressing her disapproval for Fireheart’s previous actions with Bluestar.
Bluestar doesn’t return until evening, soaked in water and looking exhausted and defeated. She speaks to Fireheart in her den, revealing that she went to Highstones by herself because she didn’t trust anyone in the clan and to demand StarClan to justify themselves for all the bad things happening in the forest. She goes on, saying that StarClan had no justification, only a warning about a “pack” that would bring enormous death and destruction to the forest. Fireheart is horrified and instantly tries to figure out what that means--he dismisses the dog because he thinks there is only one loose dog. He tries to get Bluestar to consider that “pack” might mean Tigerstar and ShadowClan or even Leopardstar, but she is uninterested in his plans to protect the Clan. Bluestar is completely depressed and hopeless, saying there is no point to trying when even StarClan is powerless to stop this “pack”. Fireheart tries to reassure her with no success. As he leaves to tell Cinderpelt that Bluestar is back, he remembers Cinderpelt’s old vision about the words “pack” and “kill”.
Chapter 16
Cinderpelt doesn’t have any further clues on what the “pack” could be, so Fireheart anxiously dedicates the next few days to shoring up defenses and patrols, although the Clan is stretched thin. The weather gets colder as the forest struggles to recover from the fire. One day Bluestar announces that she’ll lead a patrol with him and Fireheart tries to use the opportunity to show her how Cloudpaw and Longtail’s apprentice Swiftpaw are ready to be warriors. Bluestar is distracted by the river as she thinks longingly of her kits.
They make their way to Sunningrocks, where they encounter RiverClan cats--including Leopardstar, Graystripe, and her new deputy, Stonefur. Bluestar initially isn’t alarmed, too happy to see her son become deputy, but Leopardstar soon declares her intent to take Sunningrocks for RiverClan. It takes a moment for Bluestar to realize, but then she is firm that it belongs to ThunderClan. Fireheart sends Swiftpaw back to camp for reinforcements, but the small patrol is heavily outnumbered in the ensuing battle. Luckily, Swiftpaw returns with another patrol just in time for Graystripe to warn Fireheart that Mistyfoot and Stonefur are about to attack Bluestar, who won’t fight back. Fireheart manages to get to them just in time to stop them from killing her, desperately shouting that she’s their mother.
Chapter 17
Stonefur denies Fireheart's claim, saying that Graypool was their mother. Fireheart tells them about how Bluestar gave away her kits with Oakheart to Riverclan. Mistyfoot says Fireheart doesn't lie which agitates Stonefur more, who advances to attack Fireheart. However, Bluestar steps between them and tells them how proud she is of them. Before the conversation can continue, Graystripe yells a warning to Fireheart and moments later Leopardstar attacks him.
Fireheart is losing the battle until Graystripe throws Leopardstar off him, which Leopardstar is furious about. She says he was never loyal to Riverclan, and unless Graystripe attacked Fireheart she would banish him from the Clan. Graystripe can't bring himself to attack his old friend and Leopardstar threatens him in a variety of gruesome ways. At that moment, the Thunderclan reinforcements arrive and chase Riverclan away.
As Thunderclan regroups, Fireheart sees Bluestar trying to get her children to join Thunderclan which Stonefur once again takes badly. The two leave, and Graystripe stays with the Thunderclan cats as Leopardstar puts a bounty on his head in Riverclan.
Fireheart has a brief conversation with Bluestar, who seems confused for some reason that her children hate her for abandoning them. However, she is not mad Fireheart revealed her secret to them.
Fireheart then tries to ask Bluestar if Graystripe can stay with Thunderclan, while Darkstripe intervenes to try and get him kicked out. However, she allows Graystripe to stay as she claims the entire clan are traitors just like Graystripe. This shocks the rest of the clan to hear, as they were unaware of the depths of her mistrust and paranoia.
