I slept for more than 5 hours consecutively for the first time in like a week and i feel like an entirely different person that i'd forgotten how to be
#if you're wondering how i've been doing the answer is pretty bad#accidently ended up with a biphasic sleep pattern#am crunching a work project i procrastinated for a long time#but also i've started reading books again purely as a break for my eyes from screens#started a book that was in my to read pile for like 2 years and immediately hated the twee writing style#to the thrift store with thee#it's the kind of writing style you see in poetry and fanfic that's trying too hard to be sophisticated#where everything is a little stilted and full of allusion and imagery and stiff grammer choices#real mixed bag for me. it can work but it's got a solid miss rate because it feels. ametuerish. and distant.
