After 150+ hours in totk I crawl put of a whole just long enough to finish something art related
I will say that, although I am enjoying the game, MAN do I have beef with it. I was never really invested in the zonai which may be my biggest problem because the entire game is "look at how cool the zonai were." Like idc they're past tense. I could make a rant post about it but I will refrain because the art is unrelated and I don't want to accidently spoil. Just know that if your a zelda fan who isn't loving it you are not alone, I don't even think totk is making my top 10 if Im being honest with myself, hoping the last little bit of story can save it.
ANYWAY I miss skull kid Nintendo, can we please bring those little shits back? I was really hoping theyd make an appearance in the new one but you dropped the ball on that. I know they're there, they laugh when I get busted in lost woods. Where are my children nintendo???
#and where are the poes nintendo#you made an entire boring inverted hyrule but didnt fill it with ghostie dudes#you gave us aweful cave spider clowns and walking trees but not lantern weilding bouncy guys#OR THE SPIDERS#where are the skulltas#you have so many enemies that give me nightmares and brought none of them#there are no words for my disappointment#anywho missed oot and skull kid so I did this#skull kid my evil little son how I love you so#the legend of zelda#loz#zelda#ocarina of time#oot#skull kid#link

OK I loved Breath of The Wild. The game was huge and gorgeous and I’m super psyched for the DLC, but one thing I didn’t like was how the monsters had relatively little variety compared to their diverse surroundings. I wanted to be chased across plains by packs of Wolfos (more powerful and aggressive than mere wolves, possibly even a werewolf variety of Bokoblin), explore ancient ruins filled with Gibdos and Redead, brave forests where you are stalked by mischievous Skull Kids (who vanish if looked at too long but will laugh and drop rare bugs if hit with a thrown weapon), be attacked by swooping Guay or Takkuri, travel canyons filled with warring tribes of Miniblins with pet Bombchus, find battle sites haunted by Poe and Bubbles, carefully traverse patches of tall grass concealing Deku Baba and Mothra larvae, meet Yiga Garo Masters that are so advanced at hiding only their robes are visible, delve into darkened caverns where you can be trapped in Skullta webs that are invisible unless you're carrying a torch, and most of all: fight Darknuts, either on foot, or riding atop Lynels for the ultimate challenge/nightmare. Plus, I want bosses that are unique and have their own little lores that tie into their unique dungeons, not just the same black/red failed Ganon clone aesthetic over and over. The game had a beautiful world and fabulous story. I loved it immensely. But I feel like it could have had more. Maybe someday we’ll get a DLC that will bring some of that in.
