. Studio Grooves . . It’s a balancing act. I’ve been out of town in Blue River for a week taking a glacier guiding course with the @canadian_ski_guide_association, and now I’m back in Squamish getting my hands and feet back in the studio. I wasn’t feeling like being inside today - the autumn weather is crisp and pristine at the moment in Squamish. . But that’s the balance, and this dance is a choice. Progress is a process, and I feel lucky to have the opportunity to work on a holiday. Turn up the volume, and cut yourself loose. . . “Hoping For An Inversion” :: 2021 . #jessagilbertart . Deep in the valley the air felt cold on the lungs, and every stray hair froze into silver strands. With every step we hoped that the sun illuminating the peaks in the distance would come with some warmth. Turns out, it’s hard to move at -30 degrees. 🥶 . . Fall Hikes, Joffre Lakes :: Single Line ((Zoom In)) . #getoutoftownvibe . A crisp October breeze brought snow to our campsite, perched above the teal blue ripples of Joffre Lake. What a place to land your feet and lay your head. . I spent a couple nights camping with a group of 10th grade students from @crofton_house this week, and was so inspired by their optimism and camaraderie. For many of them, this was a first backcountry camp, and for all the first within snow. They were cold days, but the experience left everyone warm. It’s an absolute joy to share these places with others. 🙏 .
