im only about an hour into this playthrough but im going to be honest... it really feels like style over substance rn with the cutscenes. except the style is apparently also kind of goofy
#of course nothing was going to have the same sort of impact as the original but it really feels like they didn't. try at all#i would assume if you were going to complete redo cutscenes you would try to make them. idk better? try to convey what was important in the#original in a new way#but instead it feels like theyre relying on the viewers prior knowledge of persona 3 to carry things#the awakening cutscene is obviously one of the more important moments in the game. and it honestly sucks#when you rewatch the FES one its like. you KNOW theyre fucking terrified look at yukari!!!!#and when thanatos rips out of orpheus its genuinely like. cool? and threatening?#in reload it feels. honestly very awkward#this is all obviously personal opinion but its definitely a letdown#aethers rants
