i'm so tired. i overextended yesterday. went like 5 different places (with a COWORKER no less) and then also cooked dinner. i've been feeling the repercussions today i was basically not functional. and in pain. and i had to go out twice even tho i didnt do anything i was just driving people places. and im probably going to still be exhausted tomorrow. maybe the day after that too. lol!

I studied humans. I thought I had no more reason to fear them.
Do not fight a human head-on, they told me. While you are stronger and faster, a human will easily out last anyone. You will be on the ground through exhaustion long before the human shows signs of fatigue.
Do not attempt to stalk the human, for that same reason.
Do not attempt to surprise the human while they are sleeping. They may seem like pursuit predators, but they were once a prey species on their planet and still have those instincts. They know when they are being watched. They will awaken if they sense danger approach.
Do not just shoot the human. More often than not, this just makes them mad. Even a fatal blow will see them live long enough to show you the colour of your own intestines before they fall.
Do not attempt to hold a human youngling hostage to force the human to surrender. This will bring down the wrath of all humans, regardless of family ties.
No. Do not do these things, they said. These things and many others.
The best time to attack a human, they said, is wheb they are already weak or incapacitated by some other force. Sickness, perhaps.
Unacceptable, I said. There is no honour in defeating a weakened foe.
But my studies showed me a way. Not incapacity by an external force, but incapacitated by their own actions. If a human has weakened themselves in some way, then they are a foolish being for letting themselves deliberately become such easy prey.
You will not see a deer break its own leg so it cannot run from the wolf. Nor a sheep place it's head into the lions mouth.
If a human has failed to defend itself then that is the fault of the human, not the hunter.
So, imagine the pleasure I felt when I learned of the human habit of consuming the poison known as Alcohol.
Incapacitating to the point where some humans can no longer stand. They would make such easy prey.
I saw one. A warrior human, a soldier, as their words put it. Heavily affected by this poison. I had my prey.
I took no chances. My first move was swift and targeted at a known weak point. To strike at the unprotected diaphragm of the human can leave them struggling to breath, then it's a quick and easy kill.
So I thought.
The human diaphragm is protected. This was not in my studies.
The human diaphragm is close to the human stomach. An organic container of acid.
When this container is disturbed, the contents will spill.
Violently.
Over a very wide area.
I have lost two of my four arms to this -supposedly- incapacitated human. They melted in front of my eyes. I cannot describe the pain. I dare not recall the smell.
And now my ultimate shame. These human medics promising me a false replacement for my limbs. These prosthetics may restore my mobility, but they cannot restore the honour I lost due to my own foolishness.
Why? Why, in all my research, did no one mention that humans can spit acid?
There is no such thing as an incapacitated human. They are no easy prey.
Never choose to fight with a human!

Not only that is horribley judgmental for any one to say Its also very ablelist behavoiur to say that about anyone. What alot of people dont seem to realise that people who do sleep more than 8 hrs may have health problems wheather its phycial or mental. Like the last two post said is very true. Sleep disorders is a very commen reason why some may over sleep and some people bodies require more sleep than others and the same with people who struggle adjusting there time sceduel. Sleeping disorders like a form of insomia where they do fall asleep but sleep is alway interupted multiple time during rem so they never feel like they got a full 8 hour sleep due to the lack abilty to stay asleep. Over sleeping can also be caused by disorders sucj as chronic fatigue syndrome, hyperisomia, it could be from a iron or a vitamin deficiency, hyperthyroid, fibromyalgia and there is many more other reason due to phycial health but over sleeping can also becaused by mental illness, depresstion, and anxiety. As my own perosnal experiance with chronic depresstion i end up sleeping my whole day away and its not that i am lazy i just have no motive to move wheb i am in that state often i just want to fall back to sleep and forget i feel so shitty amd what people dont understand is depresstion its self caused body pains aswell and its the same with anxiety. When you have a general anxiety disorder you end up feeling exaisted because your worrying about everysingle thing in your life and feel luke you are always on gaurd and its overwhelmeing. It takes alot of enengey out of you and when i say you i really mean me since i have chronic depresstion due to having a borderline perosnality disorder and a general anxiety disorder and so many times i will work my self so hard i get over exuasted causeing me to be sick so i end up sleeping my whole day away. Having chronic pains from an endometriosis doesnt help either.
do you know what I really hate? early morning culture. the misconception that getting up early is inherently better than sleeping in. that people who stay in bed longer than 8 am are lazy and have an unhealthy life rhythm and that apparently they “miss the best part of the day”. that causes so much unnecessary shame and guilt, especially in young people whose inner clock doesn’t work that way - scientifically proven, teenagers can’t reach their mind’s full potential before 10 am. And more generally speaking: why should we care if someone gets up at 10 or 11 am and goes to bed far after midnight? I would get so much more shit done if I wouldn’t feel so guilty for staying up late and sleeping in.
