#when phum realizes that peem is jealous????

i am actually so seated for jealous peem and im going to need you to elaborate m’am

!!! I thought more about it. Jealous Peem would fit so good in the context of a 'Phum helps Toey get together with Q' fic.

Because I can totally see Phum being so focused on trying to help his little bro that he doesn't even realize how it looks from Peem's perspective at all. And like Alan said in the tags, Peem is just so confused because the guy he sorta likes but doesn't want to admit he likes is now following his best friend everywhere and trying to befriend him???? He's just so confused, and that confusion morphs gradually into a jealousy that encompasses everything.

And I think Peem is jealous in the same way he's everything else. Like, it's not a bold thing, but it also isn't like Phum's jealousy where he just puts a wall up and tries to avoid it due to insecurities and such. I think would be the type to show it more, perhaps even one where he asks Phum directly "what's up with you?" I can TOTALLY imagine a scene where Phum is like, looking for Q and Peem is like "why are you after my best friend all of a sudden?" And Phum sees Q walking somewhere behind and he's so keen on that, that he doesn't even realize what Peem really asked, or the gentle furrow of his brows. He just pats Peem on the shoulder once and says in a hurry "I'll see you later." And Peem is like??? Because the guy who would have found any AND ALL reason to tease him for being interested in what Phum does is suddenly not teasing him anymore??? What even???

Maybe even angst because of it. Oh, I can totally imagine the angst. It could go in so many directions. But ultimately I really like the scenario where Peem can't take it anymore and corners Phum about it. Alan put it in my head and now I can't get it out.

Oh OH imagine Peem suddenly showing up to places to take Phum by the hand to eat and stuff and everyone is like "????" and Phum is also ??? but not displeased. And Peem is just, so confused and wanting things to go back to normal and for Phum to stop asking him about his best friend already-

SO MANY possibilities, star. I can't believe no one entertained Jealous Peem until now. I need it to be a thing so badly.

I love how Beer is both perceptive and observant of his friends, and knows just what to say to get them moving.

He wants the best for Phum and even tells him how he's happy that Peem came into his life, and Phum is a lot more lively these days. (MSP flashbacks again anyone? No? Just me?)

He might not be as playful or enthusiastic as Peem's friends, but he knows what his friends need and he'll try his hardest to make sure they have it. He's just such a good friend.

Phum telling him about the Deal™ also shows us just how much he trusts Beer.

Jokes aside, I like that Peem tries to figure out what's wrong, but he doesn't push too hard. And even tries to provide some comfort to Phum.

And in these moments with just them, Phum has bursts of courage to show his affection, and show Peem how much he means to him, instead of just telling him.

I don't think this is him being emotionally constipated (he is, no doubt about it, but strangely not as much when it comes to Peem), but more of him being unsure of where he stands with Peem (as I mentioned in last week's post).

Are they just friends because their friend groups merged? Acquaintances forced to be close due to circumstances? Just creditor and debtor? Is the deal all that's holding them together?

Well, Phum needs to find the answers. (Preferably and possibly within the next episode)

*sigh* they're gonna kill me with fluff (and I'm gonna die happy)

This is my favourite scene of this ep. Just crushes cuddling each other with sleep, the rest of the evil world (Kluen) forgotten for the moment.

first of all, my question about how the group reacted to tanfang dating was answered. but i could swear that they knew bc tanfang were acting like a couple, and ALSO someone asked tan "so the person you were serious about was fang? " he didn't said it at the festival episode? it's because his friends are stupid or a plot hole, i guess we'll never know

my favorite thing in this show is still their friendship; the talk between peem and q was so emotional to me and so deep and important, and the boys comforting toey, they're good friends... i love to see it, a group of friends who are FRIENDS

i would also feel kinda betrayed in this whole situation, like what do you you know me and know how i feel about the drama that happened, how i feel about everything, and still choose to not tell me and not talk to me? but also, toey is too involved in the situation too, his choice i guess...

as far as i know, kluen just appears when phumpeem is already dating, but i think they changed that, to make phum feel more jealous and make a move faster, because i think there is still family drama to follow, speaking of family, fang mentioned their father is coming back in the first episode and he didn't appear until now, plot hole again? however, fang doesn't live with phum, perhaps he lives in the family house, and the father might be there, but that father was never mentioned again

coming back to my favorite boys, phumpeem you both want to kiss so bad it's embarrassing for you, like what was all that at your aunt's coffee shop 🤨

How do you feel about a we are au where Phum and Kluen end up good friends all of a sudden? After, like, a few weeks pass of Phum dating Peem.

Like, suddenly people are starting to see them together, hanging out and talking calmly, even smiling amusingly at each other— like they are having fun. And Phum’s friends are confused, because is this the Phum that would tense and look like he’s a minute away from hissing at Kluen everytime he appeared? Is this the Kluen that would smile dryly at Phum and mostly ignore him?

It could a fun idea, especially with scenes where maybe Toey or even Q think Kluen might be bothering Phum so they kind of try to fend him off, and Phum is like, “Guys, no need.” He’s just so confused at their defensive stances, and THEY are so confused with his easy-going energy.

Oh, imagine Fang’s reaction fuehdjrhejjd I wouldn’t even think. Or Beer’s.

Peem is especially the most confused. Kluen went from trying to seek him to seeking his boyfriend, who was so jealous of Kluen not a long time ago. Now they are spotted at Aunt Pui’s cafe??? Drinking their coffee together and having winded convos?? With hand gestures and all???

Like a 5+1 type of fic; five times Phum and Kluen were seen together and that one time they reveal they are actually friends.

I saw your post about writing a fic in Kluen’s pov and I thought: Yeah, sure, I personally made Kluen kind of a bad guy in my omegaverse fic, but just because it’s plot relevant for very important scenes. I don’t dislike the guy that much tbh.

And this idea seems fun. Like, Peem asking Phum about it after a while, kind of cautiously because he doesn’t know how to breach the subject (He doesn’t want to give Phum the impression that it’s a wrong thing, this new development with Kluen. It’s just shocking.)

And Phum just blinking at him, and then going, “Well, I was trying to make peace with him for you, because I know you guys get along. 🥺 But then I realized we actually have a lot in common. I guess it just happened.”

I just imagine Peem going oh, and then being so very proud that Phum did that. That he and also Kluen got over all the petty stuff and got to know each other for real, and now they are friends!!

When he tells Phum that, Phum makes a “☺️” face that quickly morphs into a smirk, and says, “He’s not that bad, yeah. He liked you, after all. No one who likes you is bad.”

Peem flicks his nose, cheeks redder, and mutters, “Shut up, you.”

But Phum can see the fondness in his face.

Cole, you have no idea how much I love the concept of Phum and Kluen being on good terms whether in a frenemies way or in a genuine friendship way!

Mainly because I think Phum deserves even more friends, and I believe Kluen deserves some good in his life after the confusion he went through at the volunteer camp. Plus, I am always down for more architect and engineering friendships.

Oh gods, everyone's reactions! I know Q and Toey would be concerned and defensive, we saw them when Kluen talked to Peem for three seconds at that art store and how Toey dashed off. I can see Fang getting defensive too for his little brother, even willing to punch Kluen if it comes down to it!

Now if you don't mind me pushing my BeerKluen agenda a little more I like to imagine one of Phum and Kluen's little meetings happening like this.

Beer: *leaves*

Kluen: All I'm saying is your best friend is hot.

Phum: Stop it!

Plus, you saw the energy Kluen carried in the show sometimes. I think Kluen and Phum should be petty and judgemental together instead of at each other.

Oh gods, Phum using the conversation with Peem as a chance to flirt, that made me so soft.

For the record, I don't think Kluen is a bad guy in your fic. Antagonistic? Yeah, but Q makes it clear to the audience Omega!Kluen needs to work through some stuff. I don't think Kluen is any different from canon, just returning Phum's (honestly kinda vile) energy a little more during the volunteer camp. I love Phum, I love that he can be an asshole, but he was an absolute ass during the volunteer camp arc.

But what if we go even more ridiculous. What if, in parallel to PhumPeem's slave deal, Fang also plays even harder to get and teases Tan by saying "Hmm, I don't know if I'm able to enter a relationship right now. I'm kind of very worried for Phum- he seems so lonely nowadays. Hasn't had a relationship in two years almost-"

And Tan being Tan, takes it to heart. He can't let his man be so worried for his little brother?? So what does he do? He plans on setting Phum up. Worse than any cupid work Pun has ever done.

He starts sending Phum dating profiles and going "aren't they cute? what do you think? do you feel any butterflies yet?" and Phum always answers with "???"

But then it gets worse. And Peem and Phum start spending more time together due to the deal, Tan also gets even braver with his plans. And one day Peem and Phum are out together and Tan walks up to them dragging a handsome man with him

He's like, "Phum! I have to introduce you to-"

And Peem is so confused?? Why does it seem like Tan is hooking Phum up with a random person he met like a week ago? What's going on? Thing is it doesn't stop there. Tan sends so many people their way. Now Phum can't go anywhere without someone walking up to him and being like, "Hey, I heard from a good friend that you're single and ready to mingle."

And it's all the funnier that it's especially happening when Peem is around, now that the friend groups merged and they are all hanging out together, Tan is more relentless than ever in getting Fang's little brother a lover.

It was amusing at first, but then Peem starts to get weird feelings whenever someone chats up a still very confused and flustered Phum. And then he realizes he likes Phum and the weird feelings become full on jealousy.

He tries to subtly tell Tan that he shouldn't bother, only to receive a "Ah? Why not? Phum is smart and handsome! He deserves a boo."

Then he tries subtly hinting that Tan doesn't need to bother because Peem is already interested, but it goes straight over Tan's head.

"I just think it's not necessary."

Tan cocks his head, blinks. "And why not?"

"Because-" Peem exhales. "Because I'm hanging out with him most of the time." Tan still looks confused. Peem wants to throttle him. "And- and he doesn't seem to want a relationship?"

"Ah, I see what's happening here." Peem tenses up when Tan points a finger at him. "You're jealous!"

"Huh? Well, I-"

"Don't worry, friend." Tan pats him on the shoulder with conviction. "We can find you a boo as well!"

Peem deflates, groans. "No need, Tan. For real. Don't even bother."

So now it's either Peem sucks it up and finally confesses to Phum so Tan can stop throwing pretty and handsome men his way, or he goes to Q.

"You need to help me stop Tan from trying to find Phum a boyfriend."

Q raises an eyebrow. "Why?"

Peem huffs. "Because. Just help me, alright?"

But Q understands the assignment completely wrong, or maybe he's just a lil shit because he just goes bluntly and tells Tan to stop it, and when Tan asks why, Q shrugs and says: "Do I need a reason? Alright. Have you considered that someone in our friend group may be head over heels for him and you're making it harder?"

Tan gasps, looks at a wide-eyed Peem, then back at Q, and asks softly, "You have a crush on Phum, Q? But- But what about Toey?"

Q's splutter is incoherent at best.

Peem puts his head in his palms.
