I’m so tired of the people I live with not being respectful when I repeatedly ask that they not use nuts or gluten when using my expensive kitchen stuff. I keep getting sick and I’ve had to spend way too much money replacing toasters and things that can’t be cleaned to a point of being safe for me.

I know I’m not overreacting. Pretty sure they think it’s nbd as they aren’t the ones who get severely sick. Idk Is this a common situation or are the people I live with just inconsiderate as hell?

#sorry for the rant I’m just so done with This #I’m severely allergic and I’ve asked that they at least wipe things down and def don’t use my cutting boards or toasters #i don’t mind sharing but It’s my toaster oven / air frier and I want to be able to use it #mind you my housemates are family rn #I’ve already had to replace 3 cutting boards and now how to wrap all my food in foil and parchment paper to air fry #and they won’t replace those things #I can’t spend another $300 on a good convection oven #and they know damn well how sick I get and don’t care #they really toasted a pb sandwich in my toaster and didn’t tell me until I got sick #I don’t want to have to keep kitchen stuff in my room but might have to #when living in a dorm I didn’t even use my vegetarian roommates knives for meat #I can see forgetting if you aren’t the one getting sick but they know how sensitive I am to even crumbs #I do most of the cooking to avoid issues #food allergies #unfortunately limited housing and cost of living near me don’t leave me with other options #had to move back during the pandemic and never got on my feet again
