I’m gonna be honest. Do I think the existence of companies making clothes specifically for nb and trans people as well as gender non-conforming women is important? Yes. Do I also think that people should use some common sense to decide if said companies are just profiting off the pink tax indiscreetly? Also yes.
#when a pair of boxers is marketed towards women and trans folks it is always ALWAYS 5x as expensive.#sometimes this is for a good reason. and sometimes. it is not!!!!!!!#sometimes they are special! I get that! but sometimes ur literally just buying boxers for 20 bucks a pair#when like you can just go to target and buy four pairs for 20 bucks in the men’s section#someone’s gonna choose to interpret this in some fucked up way but y’all with reading comprehension know I’m right

Costuming on a budget
Hi everyone Galactic_Bug_Man here now for most of us there is a lot of nerd and geek conventions going on in a lot of areas around this time of year and other parts of the year. So here I am going to give you some of my tips and show you a few of my costumes that I have put together on a budget. Starting with my Star Trek one as you see here.
This costume comes from my Star Trek fan fiction Captain’s character. This was a very cheap one to make for me because most of the stuff I already had but I did go along and buy a lot of the pieces. This was taken outside my old house during the 2016 Dallas Fan Expo before with left the house to go on this day (Above)
Now for this costume I used an old pair of black jeans, my brother’s old orchestra slip on dress shoes, the Phaser I bought online for about ten dollars or so it was very inexpensive, the rank pips on the right side of the shirt are not really official ranks pins at all they're actually rare earth magnets held on to my shirt with my Texas Master Naturalist badge backing. Sometimes you just have to be creative and use what you got not to break your bank. I got the communicator badge for about 20 bucks at my first comic con. The shirt I bought at a clearance rack at Kohl’s for about a few dollars and it is really comfortable. So many of these things you can get for under ten bucks if you know were too look. As you can see I didn’t add the red shirt to do my division color which for this character it is red like TNG or DS9 or Voy. this is shirt is very close to the off duty uniform that Captain Jean Luc Picard would wear sometimes in scenes where he is playing is Rusikan Flute and sometimes he would wear an open jacket on the bridge and underneath he would have this style of shirt. The red shirt is absent in the first shot but in the shot below I have it. I got this shirt at Michael’s for a few bucks on their DIY tee shirt aisle. In the shot below I am wearing a pair of slacks I bought in between events. The belt was found during holiday Christmas clearance at Target for a few bucks. How I made the latch buckle look like a Starfleet belt was I printed off a small Black and White emblem which I made myself on Power Point and printed it off and then used some really good clear tape to put it on there. The one above was colored but the one on the bottom was back and white.
Sometimes it is just knowing where to look. Always check out clearance items or discount stores you get really lucky sometimes. My brother went to an old store once last year to make a costume for our high school pre-graduation party which was called Bahama Bash. I graduated a long time ago but he was just about to graduate and he went as Donkey Kong. They had a jacket that was brown for about three or four bucks, they also had a nice pair of brown pants for a little more I think. The most expensive things we had to buy were the material for his gorilla chest, and the batting for his muscular look. I don’t have pictures of that costume because it is all packed away but just getting setting a budget can really help you if you are a nerd that is tight on money. I prefer using what I have but sometimes you have to try and make it look good. That is why I bought the Combadge at full price but the Magnets I got with coupons. Sometimes coupons to craft stores and things are great and that is what a lot of us cosplayers do. No I am not a sewer but I have made a prop for this costume from some of the leftover fake fur we used for my brother’s DK costume.
I made a Tribble to go along with my costume for a couple of events. We had a halloween event on our campus that I went to. We had a costume contest and I just decided to put this puffball together one night. It was kind of fun to make it and it was a good use of some of the left overs. If you are doing a Star Trek costume and have stuff like this you can easily make it yourself. For tribbles there are tons of templates online and sites that give you instructions. I made this one using another blog site. Instructables also has stuff like this and looks really fun to put together.
So clearance, coupons, using leftovers, sometimes just using what you have are great ways to get started on you cosplay journey. There have only been a couple of costumes that I have had that were fully sewn and that was my first Luke Skywalker Costume when I was younger. My grandmother made the Jedi shirt, belt, and pants for me as well as the shoe covers to make them look like boots. So that was pretty costly to do. I also had to by a lightsaber which didn’t cost me too much it was just one of those hold down and flick out ones it was not one that lit up or made noise even though I did have one of those but I didn’t have one at the time.
For the last few years now my campus has had an Anime Convention and Nerd con of sorts so this year my brother and I are going to check it out. And this year I am going to go as a Starfleet officer again but I am also going to go as one of my favorite characters from one of my favorite cartoons.
Since Animaniacs seems to be coming out with a couple of more seasons in an updated form coming to Hulu in 2020 I decided to make a Yakko Warner Cosplay. It seems to be the road less traveled I don’t see a lot of Animanicas at cons but I have seen a few people cosplay as them so I deiced to try and do my own style while trying not to break my bank fully. Still using coupons and things but I also had a few items that I had in my possession and somethings I bought on the cheap end.
Okay so here we have the red nose, the belt buckle, and the headband with ears. The headband I got at the Dollar store. On it I bought some enlarged pipe cleaners to make the ears and they were on the kid’s craft Aisle at Michaels. I buy a lot of my stuff from either Jo-Ann’s or Michael’s depending on who has the best deals at the time. The red nose I had when I had to have my kidney operated on I got a red nose from one of the volunteers at the children’s hospital when I had my left left kidney operated on after years of scar tissue built up after being born with an enlarged kidney and after years of chronic infection. It is okay I got that taken care but that is where the nose came from so it was free. The belt buckle was made from foam board and I colored it with a yellow sharpie.
Now you might be thinking where is the hair for my costume. It is kind of funny but my hair line is receding just a little bit and when you put the middle part down my hair does what Yakko’s and his siblings does. It is kind of funny but hey that means I can just go with my natural hairline and natural hair. Sometimes you have to go with it and have fun. Me I am one of those that likes to roll with it and laugh at myself. That is all you can do sometimes.
These are my slacks and tail. As you can see I used the pipe clearer to make a tail too. The slacks I got a JC Penny full price because I needed to get some slacks for some function. So I recycled those for this cosplay. I tied on the tail to the back belt loop. I can already tell you this part is going to be tricky so I am hoping that if I have to leave a panel to do something that I don’t shut my tail up in a door. I probably wont but sitting down will have to take some adjusting. Always try to make your cosplay as easy to maneuver as possible. It will help a lot by knowing just what events you will be doing and what it calls for. I am thinking it will not be all that bad but still I just got to make sure that I don’t get it caught in anything. This part of the costume was really fun to put together I was laughing at the end result because of the way it looked. I thought it looked pretty good and silly. I am a pretty fun guy so this cosplay will be really neat to do. I have never gone as a Toon before so this is something I have been wanting to experiment with for a good while now.
Next up the Iconic feet of the Warner Trio. These are nothing more than painters shoe covers with toe marks on them. I got these at the Home Depot for about four bucks. I also bought some heavy duty white duct tape so that way I can make them somewhat wear and tear resistant from being on the concrete all day or the tile or carpet. I am going to wear some tennis shoe with these over them. I can already tell you that with this part you are going to need to tape the part that is not going to be to be the front of the foot down or it will look all funny looking. I have not wore the costume yet but I am already seeing somethings I am gonna have to do to make it look good. So yeah even your local hardware store is a good place to get some stuff for costumes if you have the right idea.
I bought this black long sleeved shirt on clearance at Jo-ann’s they were getting rid of their long sleeve shirts for the season so I was able to get this fairly cheap. So yeah this was a pretty good deal. I am just saying things can look really good. This is one of the easier ones to make. The Star Trek costume took me a while to make. I had to find a combadge that was not sky high in price and where I didn’t have to pay for shipping and handling.
And of course I got the gloves too at Jo-ann’s these were on their winter clearance and they had a whole bin of them and they were only a few cents so we got a few. It is not in here but I also have an all black belt so I have all the pieces finally to this costume.
I love making costumes but sometimes it just have to play it really cheap. When I met Sylvester McCoy from Doctor Who I did a Doctor Degeneration theme where what would he look like if he was dying or something. So I have the scarf from four, the fez from 11, the sonic from nine and ten, I bought a Doctor Who Tee that looked like 12′s suite. and I had a my black jeans so I looked like that. that was actually more expensive than what I had for the other two costumes because I bought all that Doctor Who stuff online. So it just depends on what you want to do. Many of you know this but some of you may be new to cosplay. This is just showing you the way I do it. I am sure we all have our preferred method of doing our cosplay.
I have to tell you that the Animaniacs cosplay is something that I am looking forward to wearing at our Campus Convention. I am very excited to see how it goes. Like I have said I am a huge Animaniacs fan and with this cosplay I am going to do something I don’t do a lot. I have a real knack to doing voice impressions and want to be a voice actor when I get out of college as well as a nature photographer and I can do both Yakko and Wakko impressions so I will be talking like Yakko most of the time at the con just to be silly and play the part. Sometimes if you dress the part you have to play the part. So I think that would be really funny and be worth some laughs. So until next time be safe at your conventions and have fun. I will see you next time on the trail of life.

The Assassin Who Loved Me (Part 2)
Pair: Stucky
Wordcount: 3841
Plot: AU of CATWS events via prompt supplied by the fabulous jewishcap
Warnings: NSFWish sexual activity mentioned and implied, Violence mentioned and implied
A/N: I am primarily an erotica & horror writer so in a few weeks I’ll begin reworking and telling the story making it much longer and adding more detail in those elements (Because Winter Soldier being a terrifying insane yet competent murderer when Steve isn’t looking MUST be done)
5
In the SUV, Bucky became more talkative without strangers around, even if he still sounded fuzzy in the brain department.
“I was such an idiot. I’m not gonna mess this up.”
“Mess what up, Buck?” Steve said absentmindedly.
“Us. We were trying to do what normal guys do and make our families proud. I’m blessed so I’m not going to miss my chance to love you the right way.” Bucky said completely determined.
The car went silent for several minutes. Then Steve said, “Never said it out loud, even to myself. I thought I’d just love you from afar and that would be that. I didn’t know you…”
“Felt the same? Like I said, we were idiots. But I remember. I remember how you looked at me sometimes, how your hand would brush mine and our eyes would be drawn to one another’s. I remember what you did on New Year’s of ‘42.”
Steve who had been taking a left accidently jerked the wheel in his surprise but recovered quickly. “You remember?!?!”
“Steve, you said you had something to show me in a pantry then got on your knees and-”
“You never said anything! Do you know how bad I felt about taking advantage of you?!”
“You idiot! I had to act it didn’t happen. We didn’t have time to stop saving the world from Hydra to have dramatic assessments of each other and our relationship, Steve. People needed you to kill Nazis and you needed me to keep you from getting sniped in the back of the head!”
Once again the interior of the SUV fell silent until this time Bucky spoke again.
“Didn’t you hear and feel me that night? Why in the world did you think I didn’t want it? Did you really think I was so drunk I didn’t know what was happening?”
“…The next day when nothing changed I just thought, either you remembered and only let me do it because you didn’t want to make me feel bad about being…or worse you didn’t remember and hadn’t wanted and I just went ahead made you…” Steve answered.
“You think the kiss after was me going along to get along or doing something I didn’t want to?”
“Not now, of course, no.”
“So it’s like I said, we can’t waste what we’ve been given. As far as I know, the future has been pretty weird, what with this arm thing and the glowing thing in that guy’s chest and I don’t know if people still die, I may be the only person who has ever come back from the dead. Of human history, this is probably the first time a dead soldier has returned to his beloved. I would be insane if I just kept the charade going. I’m gonna be true to you if it kills me, if anyone has a problem they can take it up with me anytime.”
6
When they finally settled in a bit Bucky wandered through the house eventually arriving at the fridge where he realized he was the hungrier than he had ever been. But many of the things in there confused him. He went to find Steve who had been digging out some clothes for Bucky so he could have a shower.
“Steve, what’s wrong with this cucumber?”
“That’s not a cucumber. That’s a zucchini.”
“A what? Speaking fake Italian is rude. That goes for other languages too. Why is there a green pepper that is red? How much has food changed, do cows and chickens still look the same?”
“These things aren’t new. They have a better way if food preservation and distribution so more foods are available.”
“We didn’t need more vegetables. We needed to be able to buy them in the first place. We used to only need just a few. Corn, carrots, potatoes, onions, cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, garlic. What more do ya need?”
“Nutrients. We grew up barely hanging on. Now more people can afford to eat more diverse foods.”
“If you say so. Another question what’s the thing that looks like a lizard and a pear mixed together?”
“An avocado. It’s a vegetable.”
“Listen, I’m too hungry to even remember what it’s name is, can you show me how to eat something in there?”
“Sure. I can whip you up a snack. Later I’ll make some dinner.”
All things considered, while it was important to Steve to eat well, he chose to feed Bucky some of his leftover steak bomb calzone. Bucky exclaimed loudly the entire time he ate. When Steve told him it was the last four pieces of a 16 piece calzone that had cost $24, Bucky dropped his food on accident and said “What was wrong with it? ”
“Pardon? "Said Steve.
"That much food for $20, there had to be something wrong with it. Were the ingredients going bad when it was made?”
“No. A 5 lb bag of flour at the grocery store is about $3 now. So you can imagine these other things in it are priced similarly.”
“What!? No!”
“Yes. Food is so abundant people have a hard time avoiding stuff that’s no good. Turns out too much sugar is like consuming poison. It can give you health problems that go from rotted teeth to lowered liver function.”
“That’s horrifying. Is there anything that bad in this currently killing me? I’m still gonna finish it, tastes too good not to, but I’m just curious.”
“Worst thing in that is the dough since it’s high in carbs which turn into sugar in your body and arguably the meat and cheese. Also turns out the meat and dairy industry is great for us not but so much for the animals. Old fashion farmers were way more respectful of animals. Now it just a lot of huge companies making money as fast as possible be damned the cruelty to the animals those faster practices are based in.”
Bucky who had once had to kill his own chicken to eat it, could see how that was a problem. Still, that calzone was just sooo good. He had to figure out a way to not feel like a piece of shit the next time he ate something like it in the future.
After Steve showed him how the shower worked, what bottle was soap and what was shampoo, by 9:30 they had eaten then Steve had taken a shower as well and they began to talk about going to bed. They sat on Steve’s couch watching a bit of Laverne and Shirley.
“Listen I’m trying here. I know you didn’t want to hide how we feel anymore so… Would it be weird if you… slept in my bed or are we not at that-” Steve began nervously.
Bucky had turned to steve balled up his fist in the collar of Steve’s sleeveless tank and pulled him forward into a kiss. He didn’t use tongue at first. Steve was in such shock he went entirely still when their lips touched. Bucky wanted to be sure he had read him correctly. When Steve relaxed more then Bucky slipped him some tongue between his lips for a long languid yet heart stopping French kiss. It felt to Steve like they were slowly melding together lips first.
When he was done he said “I think we’re close enough, we’ve shared a blanket and a mattress before. Am I moving too fast for you?”
“NO! Ehem, I mean I just wanted to offer the place that’s most comfortable. It’s not like I wanna get fresh with you.” Steve stammered.
“Well, what if I want you to? What if I’ve wanted you to every time we slept in the same place since we were 15?”
“Huuh!” He gasped as if Buck had just kicked him in the balls. “That explains- uh, OK. My bed is open to you.”
“Are your legs too?” Bucky whispered pulling Steve to meet his lips again.
This time the kiss was filled with pure electricity. Sparks flew mentally emotionally and sexually. Steve whined like a puppy unsure where inside him such a noise came from.
Steve tried to say, “Well I wouldn’t put it so bluntly.” Instead, he made a shuddering groaning sound that ended in a high pitched gasp.
Then he grasped Bucky pulling him onto his lap, arms a sliding down his back pulling each of Buck’s legs around his hips. Bucky locked his ankles behind Steve back, threw his arms around his shoulders and held on for dear life. Then eyes closed, hopelessly blissfully finally lost in Bucky’s embrace, Steve vaulted over the couch and sprinted to his bedroom with Buck in his arms.
Once in his room, he pulled something that looked like a dance move. Dipping Bucky low as he did a roundhouse kick, he hit the door slamming it without letting go of Bucky, completing the turn and slamming Bucky’s back against it. Pressing up against him Steve reached around Buck’s legs and began pushing his sweat pants and boxers down.

The Asset cried in the middle of the seduction. It hadn’t been planned. It was just a culmination of all the things that had been happening all day coming to a head.
He had planned meticulously every minute detail of his interaction seduction and persuasion of Rogers. Everything he said and did throughout the day had yielded maximum positive effects on the target. Manipulating his own thoughts to induce a panic attack, for instance. Speaking to Rogers of an event that happened between the two no one other than Barnes himself, made evident from his personal journal, knew of. With every pre-calculated response from Rogers, the planned moved inevitably forward.
But all day things had happened which were not planned and derailed The Asset momentarily from his objectives. During the panic attack, he felt and saw things… There had been real pain. Had the personality imprint worked so well he had created false memories of an event he had never even heard of till 3 months ago?
When Rogers spoke to him sometimes words, images, things he thought he didn’t recognize yet somehow did came to his mind. Being small running down the sidewalk in the rain whooping and cheering for the cool blessing breaking up the heat of the day. Fighting? No, dancing. Many people dancing, exuberant and energetic joyful movement. “32557038…”
The final straw had been while he was using his body as a sexual weapon as opposed to a violent one. Rogers working over him, moonlight spilling in through the window with the breeze, a voice inside said clearly undeniably I’m Home…” It had been confusing. The Asset wondered who was “I”? Doesn’t home mean 'resident address’ or 'shelter’? The Asset had neither of those things. He tried to not react to the confounding event but a physical malfunction occurred and water began leaking from The Asset’s face.
“Oh, no, are you crying? I’m sorry, I-” Steve worried.
The Asset thought fast and tried to tell the first lie that came to mind but first, nothing came and he started to wonder if something was going wrong when words came out. “I’m so…happy. I’m here with you and I’m happy.” Again, he did not understand the usage of “I”
It didn’t matter. No, his mission was almost complete. Two hours after Rogers fell asleep, The Asset awoke, got out of bed and rummaged the house in stealth. He found a gun and a large kitchen knife. He now stood at the foot of his targets bed. He slipped forward in silence. He planned to first blind Rogers then shoot him. If he shot first there was too large a chance Rogers could brave through the pain like no other human could and would have a chance to fight the gun out of the Asset’s hand. If he only slit his jugular Rogers may still retain energy enough to fight to live. So The Asset would stab him in both eyes, incapacitating him with pain, slice his throat and put a bullet in his heart then his head.
He stood beside the bed a long time before he understood he was doing it wrong. He was supposed to act a long time ago. He had walked over here from across the room and when he arrived he was supposed to begin the assault. But he hadn’t for some reason. He had raised the knife over Rogers’ head and now nothing could make him attack.
He thought he wanted to. A failed mission means a lot of punishment and deterrents and he didn’t want that. No, he wanted to complete the mission and go back to the ice, the only place he knew solace from the mad loud terrifying world. He felt nothing stopping his body from moving. He tried and brought the knife down within a millimeter of Rogers right eye. He could not press forward. He realized nothing in the known universe could make him do it. He tried the gun. He pressed it in as close as he could, as close as he dared without waking rogers. The result was the same.
He returned the weapons to their rightful places in the house. he returned to the bedroom and kneeled on the carpet. He looked at Rogers’ face and the longer he looked, the more images and thoughts came to his mind. It became very distressing. For hours he sat, experiencing ideas and feelings, things that had been absent previously, and when he next asked himself who “I” referred he noted with horror he almost knew. Because “I” could never hurt Steve. “I” would always love him and protect him. “I” knew now that Steve and home had been found and would never let them go again.
Unable to stand it any longer he retrieved the gun. he knew what had to be done now.
7
When Steve opened his eyes he looked down the length of his arm, he saw Bucky holding his right hand. With both of his hands.
Bucky was holding Steve’s fingers around a Glock. It was aimed at Bucky’s forehead. He cried silently and said to Steve “Kill me… You have to…”
Steve’s heart leaped into his throat. He fought down his initial fright to stop himself from accidentally shooting and said “Bucky!? No, stop! This is dangerous! Let go of me-”
“Kill meee! "Bucky hissed not raising his voice but still speaking over Steve.
”-you have to let go of me-“ Said Steve trying to pull his hand and the gun away from Bucky.
”-you have to kill me-“ Bucky insisted pressing the gun barrel into the skin of his forehead. His eyes were open but they were blank in a way Steve had no care for. They looked almost dead, like corpses.
"Bucky, what are you doing?! Please, stop, let me-” He said struggling to stop Bucky pressing his finger into the center of the trigger guard with one of his own metal ones. His finger was just a millimeter or two from the trigger and it scared him more than anything.
“-kill me-!!!!” Bucky growled. His stare was losing its sick emptiness, but that was scarier, having him seemingly to getting close to panic with a loaded gun with it’s mother -CHRIST!- fucking safety off right up against his head where, unless he dodged, he would surely take the bullet in the brainpan.
Unable to take Bucky’s misery and fear anymore Steve shouted “Bucky STOP IT NOW!!! Why are you doing this?! What wrong with you?!”
Holding Steve’s hand in a literal death grip Bucky was saying “Can not do this… I won’t kill you… but I can’t stop SHIELD…” never raising his voice yet quieting the room all the same.
“Bucky… SHIELD? Did you think you would kill me? Why would you do that? Let’s just stop for a minute ok? Just tell me what’s wrong, baby, tell how to help you! Were you…did you think you would kill me?”
“Yes. ” He moaned like a person trying to pass a kidney stone. He was looking at Steve in a way no one ever had. Like he wished he couldn’t and that Steve couldn’t see him either.
“Why? I don’t understand. Why are you doing this, what’s happened?”
“No, no, no! Just pull the trigger, Steve, pull and let’s be done, I can’t pretend to be him anymore. God… let you love me like him, it was wrong, so wrong…never…” Was all Bucky would say.
“What are you talking about, I don’t know what you’re talking about. Let me put the gun dow-”
Bucky’s breathing became erratic and escalated until he shrieked at the top of his lungs. His mouth now opened he presses forward placing the barrel of the gun in his mouth. Looking obscenely as if he were going to give it fellatio like he had done Steve’s cock the night before.
Steve leaped out of the bed and only just barely wrenched Bucky’s hands up and over his head. He pulled dragging Bucky off his knees and pushed him down to the floor on his belly.
Bucky allowed the gun to be wrestled from his fingers. He let Steve restrain him. Steve looked on too stunned and keyed up to do anything else. “Buck, I don’t understand what is happening. Please talk to me, make me understand. I promise you, whatever this is, you don’t have to struggle alone. I will help you, no matter how hard or how long the fight.”
Through his tears, Bucky moaned in despair “….Air frequency attack and low dosage hallucinogens released shortly before hand… Mass hysteria meant to mask the drop. You didn’t see the clear pvc harness at all, didn’t feel me unhook it. It was easy to discard in the chaos. I thought I knew every step like the back of my hand. I trained good. I did good… I just didn’t expect to feel anything, I’m not supposed to feel like this!!” He screamed this last as if he were talking about feeling like he was dying. “I wasn’t "I” until last night. I was and now I can’t go back… I can’t complete the mission and when I go back they are going to hu-h-hurt me, but I won’t hurt you. I’m “I” not him, not Barnes… I lied because they told me to! Now it’s breaking me, knowing how good he would have it, how I can never have it again!“
"Bucky, what are you…Bucky why do you keep saying that? Who is…why do you keep speaking like you aren’t who you are??” Steve asked still holding Bucky down but losing his grip somewhat as he tries to process the things Bucky has just said.
“I told you, because I’m-” His speech breaks off there then for a few minutes though Steve is asking him “What? You’re what?” he doesn’t respond nor blink nor breath.
****
With so much pressure in his psyche, something under him broke and Bucky fell momentarily into a pit in his own mind. He falls like he fell off the train that day so very long ago and every memory of every moment returns to him as he’s falling. The images sensation and feelings rush up at him from the dark and every scar he’s had since that fall is now evident to him.
He sees his arm replaced and sees himself trained first like a dog. Naked and starving, scrambling to obey for the smallest comfort or met need. Soon he sleeps, eats, breathes only when he is told to. He is a fast learner. Good doggy, now die inside. Then he is trained like a machine. He is taught to fight his biology, to take control from his own mind and to hand it to them, so they can program him, tell him when to shit or cry, when to fuck or slow his heart rate and play dead. What a good boy. Next he’s trained to be a toy, he learns how to assume identities the way one collects toy cars or figurines. They teach him how to be a whore or a child or a killer. When he plays their party game he plays it well, goes for the high score as Rumlow says.
He remembers every horrible thing, all the killing, destroying, betraying, violating. They program his arm to feel as if he has been flayed for weeks if he tries to disobey in any way no matter how minor. Soon he became one with all of his training, it was the only way to survive, every name crossed out was his only reason for existence. He had no question nor desire, or dream.
Lastly, a mirror becomes visible at the end of this tunnel of tormented memories.
The carefully crafted lenses through which they made him experience himself has cracked, is shattering and has begun to fall away. At first, he saw the image they surrounded him with, the face in the mirror while unwelcome, was familiar, he had seen it sometimes and didn’t like to look too long. Because something, some shadow, lurked behind it and now he could see through the cracks: not a shadow, a man.
Himself.
****
Steve shakes Bucky’s limp body, beginning to beg, “No no no, no he’s just come back to me…No no, please God in heaven, no! Bucky! Bucky, baby, you have to breath…say something…Jesus lord, Bucky! Bucky, you have to breath, baby! Please, no, oh God no..!”
He has rolled him onto his back and is attempting to do a medical run down while in full on panic. He tries to listen for Bucky’s heart but he can’t heart it over his own thundering away inside his chest. His breathway isn’t blocked. Steve can see no reason why this is happening. The only thing he can do is breath for him and if it feels to long run to his phone on the other side of the bed to get help.
Steve is doing his best when on the third time of trying chest compression, screaming at Bucky to "Fucking live, breath, Bucky you fucking live!” as if he can intimidate Buck back to life, Bucky’s lips start to move.
Steve leans down and listens to see if he is saying anything Steve can hear.
“It can’t be. It can’t be. It can’t be.” he says over and over so many times on one breath Steve is sure he is still technically not breathing.
Then with absolutely no warning at all Bucky throws Steve through his own bedroom wall. As Steve goes flying backward he witnesses Bucky vault up from the floor, turn on a single toe and dive across the room out of the bedroom window. There is a horrible crunch of metal. Steve struggles to his feet as quickly as he can, runs and look out to see a car smashed nearly flat with a hole in it’s roof in the shape of a hand and no Bucky in sight.

How you can Gown Elegant With Little Funds
one. Basic principles for Work- Continue to keep excellent Essentials inside your wardrobe that happen to be certainly timeless and may last the take a look at of time and manner developments. Critical Essentials include things like black costume pants. Have about 3 top quality pairs. You may want a minimum of just one pair to possess a pin stripe which will give One's body some length and include selection, in addition to a single pair which has a cuff on The underside, and a single with no. All pairs should have a crease managing down the leg for that dressy search. Stay clear of nearly anything with pleats which happens to be at the moment outdated and tends to make you show up larger sized in the frontal space anyhow. DO put money into top quality, but reasonably priced tops like short sleeved and Âľ length tops with Lycra (to maintain their shape) in the two v-neck and round neck kinds. I like to recommend black, white and crimson, if You can not have on red, Maybe gray. These are key for below blazers with pants and can even be worn with jeans on an informal Friday.
You can want two or 3 wonderful black skirts, a pencil skirt, or slight A-line, printed skirt and one which is much more airy and entertaining. Dress shirts for Females tend to be more common than ever before. You should have some range right here. I like to recommend buying shirts that match your shoulders and arm duration properly and have a little bit of Lycra or extend fabric to help you shift freely. These can be purchased any where which include Winners, Ross for Considerably less or malls. Keep Wintertime and summertime colors. Important to any small business wardrobe may be the match. You will need a black, navy and lighter colour go well with which include camel for summer. You'll be able to don your blazer using your skirts also, no should buy a skirt fit. When shopping for sneakers keep the identical in your mind, find no less than three snug pairs of sneakers, Probably a pair of flats, and a couple of pairs of heels, one reduced and the opposite a higher pump type. I don't believe in owning all the colours on the rainbow on my shoe rack, specially when with a funds. Black and brown often get the job done, toss inside a pair of camel color for fun. The general concept Here's to get common pieces that will not go out of favor the final For several years as to not regularly be acquiring clothes. I firmly believe in buying these fundamental items in order that they'll very last a very long time. Hunt for revenue, clearances and wander as a result of thrift shops to uncover what you have to Develop your essential wardrobe.
2. Make Equipment Be just right for you- Whether they are footwear, sun shades, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, belts, scarves, handbags or hairclips, discover the ones that you choose to appreciate best and buy many at cheap outlets. The main element is to costume up a wardrobe a variety of strategies without blowing your budget on pumps and highly-priced handbags. The best thing to perform is buy all kinds of add-ons for as tiny as you'll be able to. These maintain your wardrobe fascinating by introducing color, texture, form, and bling! A couple retailers I love for this are Le Chateau, H&M and shopping mall kiosks. I discover the ideal cheap jewelry, stylish sneakers and hair clips. Purchase a brilliant orange or pink handbag from Payless Shoe shop for $20 and Lehenga Choli pump up your black suit for do the job, or denims plus a t-shirt. Hollywood stars use a similar methods just on a unique funds.
The most beneficial suggestion is to put on a terrific outfit with 1 or 2 add-ons utmost that pop! My mother utilized to gown exceptionally nicely mainly because she picked out accessories and outfits that looked fantastic but Charge next to absolutely nothing. This is due to she appeared in outlets like K-Mart as she could not pay for designer or perhaps shopping mall shop costs. Put on a Blazer and denims using a set of adorable flats and also have 1 considerable piece like a great necklace to essentially make your neckline pop. When hair is completed up, this is the best time for you to showcase shoulders as well as your neckline, so draw notice with some good earrings and necklace. Even a funky watch can jazz up an in any other case lower-critical outfit.
3. A Scarf Is Your Best friend- Scarves have lots of works by using that it is difficult not to get any inside your wardrobe. Scarves can work as a tie all around your hair in a ponytail, tied all around your neck, utilised like a belt close to your waistline or just ties on the shoulder strap of your respective handbag to get a flirty glimpse. It is sweet to have range. Black and Red are my favorites nonetheless I've some softer colours which include pale pink and beige with gentle brown in full stripes, polka-dots are certainly in today also. The scarf belt goes fantastic with a horny best and pair of denims. While you are bored with the sample or shade change them up using your Buddy's for wide range.
four. Deal with your Experience- Even if you do not feel like your wardrobe appears like one million bucks, put on a smile. It goes a good distance and brightens your experience! A bit makeup genuinely makes a variance. The 3 essentials I would advise are Mascara, Lipstick (or a fantastic gloss) plus some blush. This can incorporate coloration towards your face and make your capabilities pop. I have not purchased in to the notion that Designer high-priced makeup is greatest. I have utilised Deal with Female my complete lifetime and possess often had compliments. Their goods are ÂĽ the price of department store And that i can purchase them any place. The important thing is to help keep the makeup very simple and light. Never dress in weighty Basis and loose powers with shiny lipstick and hefty eyeliner. The real key is always to search pure and chic with the right mild shade of blush and lipstick and a black/brown or black shade of mascara. Invest much less funds on make-up but devote a lot more time on mastering a natural appear that may be even.
five. Invest in High-quality Shoes that Very last -Always get top quality footwear that may final you 2-3%2B years. Make certain that they are a straightforward shade and elegance, but extra importantly that they've a great sole and heel lifts. Sneakers are not produced the best way they was. I find myself possessing to exchange my lifts on almost all of my shoes because These are plastic. They put on down rapidly resulting in potential accidents while you glide throughout floors in Individuals heels. The shoe maintenance shop will put great high quality lifts on and it is cheap. Exchange these on a yearly basis or as required with put on so the heels of your respective sneakers keep wanting new. Additionally, shine your footwear consistently and buy scuff taking away Alternative. An incredible pair of sneakers can look like trash once they haven't been taken care of.
If you actually do crave something stylish then Enable it be for a particular outfit, or dress in which the sneakers will not be commonly worn. Why don't you receive the knock-off style at Payless Shoe retail store or An additional price cut shoe retailer? Then you'll get the fashion and rate you need and do not have to worry a great deal about the durability.

6. No Tattered Undergarments! -Numerous Gals target on their own outer wardrobe and overlook exactly what is hiding beneath. It is crucial to often clean your bras and camisoles and many others on sensitive cycle. It is rather unappealing to check out a effectively dressed lady having a tattered, dirty bra strap peeking out of her top rated. Furthermore, underwear and socks have to be replaced when stained or tattered acquiring holes or elastic coming aside. This isn't alluring for your lover or on your own! I normally buy a bunch of cheap clearance rack panties that appear to be designer knock-offs with every one of the lacy designs. I generally spend all-around $2-$5 for every pair and They appear good! Whenever they get ruined in my washing equipment or don with time I can just toss them without wondering twice. Whilst we are on the topic, women do get bras that match your cup correctly and so are seamless. There is nothing worse than a terrific blouse with seam traces or nipples demonstrating!
7. Decorate but Really don't overdo it-Elegant Ladies look classy mainly because they Do not overdo it. Wearing a fantastic dress or outfit with an individual ring, set of small earrings and a small necklace is ok. Sporting a accommodate that has a ring on each and every finger, view, bracelet, heavy makeup, hair in an elaborate clip, a belt, a scarf around the neck and dazzling shoes is overkill. No person is aware what to have a look at initially! When you prepare to leave your house, look into a full duration mirror with all your overall outfit such as a hat or handbag if bundled. You can often little by little start to strip a pair accessories away or tone down Daring shoes and handbags. Recall, uncomplicated is ideal. Include a couple of killer items that may have you feeling fantastic and getting compliments along how.
8. Really don't be scared to buy in Thrift Shops- I can't show you how a lot of things I've been able to snag there. The real key is to go into a place that is more well-to-do or exclusive. Frequently those with a lot of cash can discard matters speedier for new things such as great sweaters, blazers, handbags, you name it! My very last order there was essentially a list of very hot rollers that retail at $70 that I picked up for $16! I purchased an $80 pair of fantastic brown boots that were hardly ever worn for $6!! I am going to acknowledge, You will need to make a while to sift by way of a number of duds until you find a few keepers, but it is perfectly worth it. Invest in goods that have their first Daring coloration, no fading! Make certain there isn't any holes, or stains. If there is a little spot that's inconspicuous, by all implies grab the product if you can correct it. It's also possible to obtain some pleasurable handbags, belts and jewellery.
nine. Have on clothes that Suit You!r Human body- There is nothing worse than observing an attractive female in pores and skin limited gown pants, breasts hanging out, as well as the visible visual appearance of flab within the waistline or back due to tight clothing. Looking slimmer isn't about donning a lot more equipped clothes, outfits with respiration space and comfort won't only make you glimpse far better but feel better also. Classy Females Do not let everything hold out! If a little something in your wardrobe is just too small but you're keen on it, continue to keep it right up until it does in shape (it's possible utilize it as drive) and obtain some thing new.
10. You don't Need Brand name Names to Appear Excellent- Right now with countless great knock-offs and enjoyment variations to pick from, there isn't a will need to invest $450 on a set of designer sun shades. I have a $17 set of Gucci knocks-offs that I purchased inside the airport, and also have got more compliments on Individuals than a true set of Ralph Lauren shades. Similarly, folks see how well your outfit is place alongside one another more so than they do what brand you are carrying. I see a great deal of rich people today carrying brand identify overkill and they don't glimpse classy, They appear tacky. Never be considered a going for walks billboard for your model title, just be an unique and use what matches you and what you feel great in.
This article was influenced by lots of Gals that I've worked with, spent time with, viewed strolling the streets, and people who have told me they simply just do not have The cash to costume very well. If my mom in her early thirties could gown stylish in K-Mart clothing and get compliments, you are able to as well! You need an goal eye and persistence to search out what seems wonderful on you. So, give your demand card a split and find out how pleasurable it truly is to obtain a handful of items by using a $20 bill!

Black Friday 2018 smart home deals: Best offers available now on Hue, Ring, Alexa devices, Netgear Arlo cameras, Nest, Ecobee and more
New Post has been published on https://www.articletec.com/black-friday-2018-smart-home-deals-best-offers-available-now-on-hue-ring-alexa-devices-netgear-arlo-cameras-nest-ecobee-and-more/
Black Friday 2018 smart home deals: Best offers available now on Hue, Ring, Alexa devices, Netgear Arlo cameras, Nest, Ecobee and more
November is a time of tradition: Colder weather, football, turkey feasts with friends and family — and, of course, scouring the web for the best Black Friday deals. Sure enough, here you are!
And, if it’s deals on smart-home gadgets that you’re after, you’ve come to the right place. They’ve been some of the hottest Black Friday sellers in recent years, especially now that big names like Amazon and Google are essentially all-in on the connected home. With Black Friday just two days away, expect more of the same in 2018: namely, lots of deals on Alexa and Google Assistant gadgets, smart thermostats from names like Nest and Ecobee, connected lighting kits, video doorbells, app-enabled robot vacuums… you name it.
To that end, here’s a running list of all the upcoming deals we’ve spotted thus far. We’ve kicked things off with deals from Amazon, then followed suit with brick-and-mortar bargains from Target, Best Buy, Walmart, Lowe’s and Home Depot. We’re keeping our eyes peeled for online deals from names like Newegg and Dell, too. And yep, some of these bargains are available right now — including a number of notable Amazon bundles on Echo speakers that bring the price per device down below the individual Black Friday prices.
Other stores are sure to follow as Black Friday draws near, and we also expect to see plenty of online deals direct from the manufacturers themselves. As soon as we spot any new offers or price drops, we’ll update this page, so keep it bookmarked. (Last updated Nov. 21.)
Remember the usual caveats: Most of the deals won’t actually be live until Black Friday, Nov. 23, and CNET may get a share of revenue from the sale of the products featured on this page. And click that gallery above if you just want to see our 10 favorite smart home device bargains of the season. I’ll keep that updated as new deals come in, too.
(Oh, and if you’re looking for the best smart TV deals, or deals on smart appliances and kitchen gadgets like the Instant Pot, we’ve got those listed in separate posts. Just click the links to see the full rundowns.)
Got it? Good. Now let’s get to the deals.
Deals available now
Ring Video Doorbell 2 and Amazon Echo Dot (third-gen) for $139 (save $110)
Chris Monroe/CNET
Here’s one of the best smart home deals we’ve seen this year: the Ring Video Doorbell 2 with a new, third-gen Amazon Echo Dot for a total of $140. The Ring on its own usually sells for $200, so this is a particularly good value if you’ve been itching for an upgrade at your front door.
This deal is live now on Amazon, and also at Best Buy. And if you just want the doorbell and don’t care about the Dot, Fry’s will offer the Ring 2 for $129 on Black Friday only.

Philips Hue White and Color Ambiance 3-Bulb Starter Kit with Remote for $120 (save $70)
This Philips Hue starter kit includes three color-changing bulbs, a wireless remote that docks on the wall like a light switch when you aren’t using it and the all-important Philips Hue Bridge that needs to stay plugged into your router in order to control the lights from your phone or sync them with Alexa, Siri or Google Assistant.
It usually costs $190, but Best Buy will sell it for $120, and the deal is live now. That’s a terrific deal — $30 less than you’d typically pay for just the bulbs.

Ecobee4 Smart Thermostat and an Amazon Echo Dot for $199 (save $100)
Chris Monroe/CNET
Ecobee is discounting a couple of its connected thermostats for Black Friday this year, including the current-gen Ecobee4. That model comes with a separate room sensor that lets you track the temperature away from the thermostat, which is really handy if your bedroom runs a little too warm or a little too cold at night. It also has Amazon’s Alexa built right in.
It usually sells for $249, but you’ll find it for $199 online at Amazon and on Ecobee’s website right now. That said, the best place to buy it is at Best Buy, where you’ll also get a brand-new Amazon Echo Dot thrown into the deal for good measure. That’s a fantastic offer, and it’s live on Best Buy’s website right now.
Oh, and if you’re a Costco member, you can score the Ecobee4 with two remote sensors for $180. It doesn’t come with a free Echo Dot, but you’ll be able to snag one of those for $24 from Amazon starting Thanksgiving Day — do that, and you’ll basically be getting the Best Buy deal with an extra room sensor for $4 (hat-tip to Dave Zatz).
If you don’t care about using your thermostat as an Alexa access point, you can save even more by going with the previous-gen Ecobee3 Lite, which Ecobee is currently offering for $139, or $30 off. Like the current-gen model, it works with remote sensors and with Google, Siri and Alexa for voice controls. The only real difference is that it doesn’t have Alexa built in. By the way, you’ll find that same $30-off deal listed on Amazon.

Ecobee Switch Plus for $79 (save $20)
Chris Monroe/CNET
If Alexa in your thermostat sounds interesting, then how about Alexa in a light switch? Ecobee pulled it off with the Ecobee Switch Plus, a smart, in-wall light switch that works with all of the major voice platforms, and also includes built-in microphones and a speaker to let you talk with Alexa. It’ll be marked down by $20 wherever Ecobee thermostats are sold, and the deal appears to be live already on Ecobee’s website. Amazon, Best Buy, Home Depot and Lowe’s have deals of their own going as well, to varying degrees.

Geeni Switch and Charge Wi-Fi Smart Plug for $15 (save $5)
We haven’t tested this specific smart plug, but my ol’ pal David Priest reviewed an earlier version of Geeni’s Wi-Fi smart plug and came away impressed, giving it a four-star review. This one adds in a pair of USB charging ports, and looks like it won’t block adjacent outlets. Plus, it works with Alexa and Google Assistant to let you turn anything plugged into it on and off using voice commands.
At $15, it might make a great stocking stuffer — and the deal is live right now on Home Depot’s website as an early, pre-Black Friday special.

Geeni Outdoor Smart Wi-Fi Plug for $20 (save $5)
For an extra $5, you could upgrade to Geeni’s weatherproofed outdoor smart plug, which would be a really thrifty way to help automate your holiday decorations.
Here’s what Dave Priest had to say when he reviewed the Energi early last year: “The Geeni Energi stands out as one of the best affordable smart plugs on the market. When further integrations are added, it’ll be a fantastic product.” Now, the things work with Alexa and Google Assistant, so it sounds like it might be a great time to give Geeni a shot.
At any rate, $20 for a well-connected outdoor smart plug is a heck of a deal — comparable models from names like iDevices typically sell for at least twice as much. And, like the other Geeni switch, this deal is available online right now as an early special.

Google Home Hub for $99 (save $50)
Chris Monroe/CNET
It’s only been out for less than a month, but that didn’t stop Google from discounting its new voice-activated touchscreen by 50 bucks for Black Friday. Small but mighty, the Home Hub’s Google Assistant smarts are a great fit for your kitchen countertop, and you’ll be able to score one for just $99 at Target on Black Friday, or from Walmart, Best Buy, Kohl’s or Lowe’s starting Thanksgiving Day. Want to buy it even earlier? Jet will offer the same deal starting tonight at 10 p.m. ET, the night before Thanksgiving (Nov. 21).
US Cellular says it’ll be offering a Black Friday deal on the Home Hub, too, and while it isn’t saying what the actual discount will be just yet, I’m guessing it’ll be the same $50 off that we’re seeing everywhere else. One nice thing: If you spend at least $120, US Cellular will let you spread the cost out over 12 months with no money down and no interest.
No matter where you get it, $99 is $80 less than what you’ll pay on Black Friday for its rival, the Amazon Echo Show. The gloves are off, Alexa!

Google Home Mini and Chromecast Bundle for $45 (save $29)
Walmart
Walmart is also offering the Google Home Mini packaged with a Chromecast media streamer for $45 total, which is about 30 bucks off the combo’s usual price. These two are a good pair — plug the Chromecast into your TV and you’ll be able to tell the Home Mini things like, “OK, Google, play The Great British Baking Show on Netflix,” plus other nifty tricks.
Walmart calls this deal an exclusive, but Jet.com is offering this same bundle at the same price, and you’ll be able to get it starting tonight at 10 p.m. ET, the night before Thanksgiving (Nov. 21). That’s a bit earlier than Walmart, for what it’s worth.

Lenovo 8-inch Smart Display for $100 (save $100)
Chris Monroe/CNET
We’ve tested all of the impressive new Google Assistant smart displays this year — Lenovo’s was the first, and I think it’s still my favorite. Best Buy has the 8-inch version marked down by a hundred bucks for Black Friday, bringing the price down to $100, and the deal is live right now. That’s the same price as the Black Friday deal on the smaller Google Home Hub.
You might want to hold out to see if Lenovo’s larger, 10-inch version of the Smart Display gets marked down as well. Best Buy has that model included in the “up to 35 percent off” section of its Black Friday ad, but no final discounts or sale prices have been announced for any of those yet. If it gets marked down by the full 35 percent, that’d bring the price down to $165. I think I’d still rather spend $100 on the 8-inch model, but it’s something to keep an eye out for.

LG ThinQ WK9 Xboom Smart Display for $199 (save $100)
James Martin/CNET
LG just released its own Google Assistant smart display to compete with Lenovo and JBL (and, y’know, Google). And good news! Here at launch, it’s already marked down by $100 to fit in with the Black Friday crowd.
The bad news? LG’s full retail price for the thing is a hefty $299, which means that the sale price is $199 — $100 more than you’ll spend for Lenovo’s or Google’s smart displays this Black Friday. We already like those, and it’s very hard to imagine that the LG version will be $100 better than either of them. (Let alone $150 better after Black Friday passes. Yeesh.)
Anyway, a deal’s a deal, so I’m including it in this rundown, but this one feels about as skippable as Black Friday gets.

Nest Cam Indoor for $129 (save $70)
Tyler Lizenby/CNET
Nest’s smart security cameras are all pretty solid picks, but they don’t come cheap. Fortunately, you’ll be able to score a pretty sizable $70 discount on the original Nest Cam Indoor at Target this Black Friday, bringing the cost down to $129. It’s not the newest model, but it’s still a worthy pick, especially at this price. And by the way, if you don’t want to wait for Black Friday, you’ll find the same deal available at Lowe’s starting Nov. 22, and on Jet starting Nov. 21 at 10 p.m. ET. That’s tonight — the night before Thanksgiving.
Want to buy it right now? The same deal is now live at Dell.
One other note — Best Buy claims it’ll have Nest gear marked down by up to $70 starting on Thanksgiving Day. No specifics on any of those deals yet, but I’m guessing they’ll be the same ones that I’ve posted here. Keep an eye out, though.

Nest Hello Video Doorbell for $179 (save $50)
Tyler Lizenby/CNET

Again, the in-store credit offer at Kohl’s will net you an extra $45 to shop with.

Ian Knighton/CNET
Amazon’s fleet of Alexa-enabled smart speakers goes on sale starting Thanksgiving Day, and that includes a $30 discount on Alexa’s flagship, the second-gen Amazon Echo. That discount brings the price down to $69, more than $100 less than the original Echo sold for. That price looks like it’ll be available elsewhere, too, including at Target and at Best Buy — and also Kohl’s, where you’ll get $15 of in-store credit for every $50 that you spend on Black Friday, meaning that you could buy the Echo for $69 and get an extra $15 to put toward something else. Hmm…

Amazon already cut the price of the last-gen Echo Dot down to $30 when the new one came out last month, but the company is marking it down by another $10 for Black Friday, bringing the price all the way down to $20. I don’t know why you wouldn’t just pay the extra $4 for this year’s model, which offers a noticeable uptick in sound quality, but hey, maybe you’re just going to connect the thing to an external audio setup anyway. SimpliSafe Home Security Systems with SimpliCam for $170 (save $200)
Chris Monroe/CNET
Best Buy’s also offering nice discounts on SimpliSafe home security packages, which usually start at $270 but will be available starting at $170 this Thanksgiving. On top of that, Best Buy will throw in a free standalone SimpliCam with your purchase. At the start of November, Best Buy was also offering a free video doorbell with these kits, but they seem to have yanked that deal away and replaced it with the SimpliCam for Black Friday. Damn.
Still, that’s a lot of value for a very strong security system that’s won multiple Editors’ Choice Awards here on CNET. Typically, a baseline SimpliSafe kit and SimpliCam would cost you about $370.
Another option available right now: Ordering direct from SimpliSafe’s website, where all kits and accessories are 25 percent off through Nov. 21. That includes full systems and standalone add-ons like the SimpliSafe video doorbell, which would be a nice addition to the discounted kits that you can get at Best Buy.

Leviton Decora Smart Dimmer Switch for $40 (save $10)
Chris Monroe/CNET
As connected dimmer switches go, this Leviton Decora model isn’t the fanciest-looking, but it is more affordable than competitors from iDevices, Lutron and WeMo, it needs no hub, and it works with Alexa, Google Assistant and Nest. You can knock an extra $10 off of the price at Home Depot on Black Friday.
We haven’t tested this one, but we did test a separate, nearly identical Decora switch that’s designed for use with Apple HomeKit (and Apple HomeKit only). The book and also the accompanying digital content target all aspects of life – including health, wealth, happiness, love, abundance, spirituality and relationships. Unlike most other similar programs, they are doing not mix up different topics, and every has its section and importance. I’m not certain if he’s here just to form a buck, however with Manifestation Miracle, Mark place heaps of labor in it as you may read here. As you might understand, the face of the product is Heather, and she will have an wonderful name in the industry. If it were me, I wouldn’t tarnish my reputation on a useless scam. However let’s not take my assumption on this, allow us to dive deeper into it and make a call yourself… Product Data As aforementioned, the product content comprises PDFs, audios, and videos. The PDF is downloadable, the audio is in the MP3 format, and also the videos come as MP4s. Every chapter has its own video, which lasts for about fifteen minutes. These materials kind the merchandise’s blueprint – a step-by-step list of things to do for manifesting miracles. They use what they decision ‘Destiny Tuning’ to manifest things we have a tendency to need. What is Destiny Tuning? This can be one in all the most important things they teach. Of these product aspects are place along to help increase your energetic vibration. As per Heather, she calls this process destiny tuning. Table of contents 1Table of contents 2Table of contents 3Table of contents four As you'll see, it covers a whole vary of things. The Abundant Success Workbook Along with the ebook and audios, we have a tendency to get this pretty workbook that helps us implement all that we tend to learned. It’s a fill within the blanks workbook to review and take action on what we tend to learned. The Abundant Success Workbook Bonus Offerings As aforementioned, some bonuses facilitate accentuate your expertise with the primary e-book. Manifestation Miracle program ebook, cd's and videos with bonuses1. Mind Tracks When getting Manifestation Miracle, we have a tendency to get mind tracks that we will hear. These are mainly affirmations you can use every day. We tend to are suggested to concentrate with stereo headphones every day for a minimum of twenty one days. They last anywhere from 3-7 minutes. They include an ‘Abundant Wealth mind track’ and a ‘Love and Happiness mind track’. Along with this, they added some bonuses they call the ‘Unlimited Success Mindset series’ which consists of vi audio mind tracks. These are the Wealth Attraction Mind track, Health & Vitality Mind track, Endless Abundance Mind track, Love Mind track, Romance Mind track and Weight Loss Mind track. a pair of. Audio Track Next is an audio track that’s concerning succeeding with weight loss, in love, health, vitality, abundance, and wealth. There are separate tracks for every of those goals. Books Bonus BooksThere are a number of bonus books here. These are The Powerhouse Guide For Health, Vitality, Disease Reversal and How to Reboot Your Metabolism. They're short ebooks concerning the subject on top of. The primary being 15 pages and second, thirty seven pages. They go quite deep well however nothing spectacular. We have a tendency to can in all probability notice the knowledge on-line, however it is founded nicely for us in these ebooks. The primary book discusses how the body and mind are in shut connection with every different, and a way to manifest wellness and health. There are some exercises for improving your health. The second book talks about how the human metabolism functions, the foods to eat and therefore the proportions, and everything else that’s sensible for metabolism. 5. Cash MindFlood System This can be the ultimate bonus. It is a 2.five hour long video, and Mark Ling shares what the system is all concerning. Once more simply like the rest of the course, it is simple to perceive, and Mark did it in with slides so we have a tendency to can picture what he’s talking regarding. Here’s a breakdown of what we tend to discussed: Benefits I will say that there are various things that I like regarding this and i’m sure many others will love them too. A healthy young man practicing yoga on a high mountain early within the morning with the sunrise upon him • The course is designed to suit and facilitate everyone – irrespective of where folks are currently standing in their lives. Conjointly, it doesn’t matter if you're skeptical about the law of attraction or not sure about its efficacy or positive impact on your life. The style of the course is to help people get on board and appreciate the merchandise for what it is. • The information on the market for the value is good – I would expect this abundant information to cost more. If I were to shop for a 500 page book, probabilities are, it won’t provide me as abundant information as this. At this worth, I do suppose the product is well price your cash. • You’ll would like a while to complete the whole book, provided you set the speculation into observe. However, there’s no set time-frame for this, and you'll start, pause and resume as per your schedule though they recommend that you follow a fixed program. • I’m a big reader. But for those who don't seem to be, the audio content is perfect for individuals who don't seem to be abundant into reading. All of the e-book’s contents are in audio, that we have a tendency to can transfer to any listening device, such as a phone or an MP3 player. I was quite shocked at how much audio that they had. Usually, I expect most of it to be for reading and some on audio. • This is sensible. Every chapter within the e-book or the audio file encompasses a recap portion at the end, that helps users to revisit what they’ve learned in the chapter and be a lot of higher prepared for subsequent lessons. Not every book/course will this, and i find it useful. Just my personal preference. • The whole package is not expensive. It may or may not seem much, but for the majority, this value is fairly cheap. It’s affordable after we compare it to similar product or even books, and it’s manner cheaper than a seminar. • As the merchandise is digital, you can bear the content whenever and wherever you wish – be it when running, while relaxing, or when on a train. It’s designed in a way that you incorporate it into your standard of living. • There's a 60-day cash back guarantee too. If you’re are not pleased with the product, you'll be able to call for a whole refund, while not having to come the product’s contents. I’ve browse reviews where individuals have came the merchandise successfully so that won’t be a drawback. Another issue to note, I checked the come back rate, and it's solely 0.forty two% which is quite impressive. This can be verified however doubtless to alter each day. Disadvantages As with each consumer market giving, there are certain aspects of this product the makers may have done a higher job with. Those are: • You cannot hurry through the training process. Thats something I usually like doing. It’s engineered in a approach that we tend to cannot scan the books or watch all the videos consecutively, in a few days. The educational desires to be incremental, when every chapter, you ought to follow up with a practical session or an action plan. And this should take anywhere between three weeks to 3 months, that is kind of a vital investment of your time for many people. • There is some level of upselling too – as an example, the $37 per month fee for the Amazing Self-series, which is not necessary. The primary product covers everything, and there’s no want to supplement it. Moreover, the extra series charges a recurring fee, which makes it quite an upscale proposition. I didn't strive the up-sell as I didn't see the utilization for it, but if its something like the product and you've got some additional money, it would possibly be worth a try. • It only comes in digital type. I sometimes like to possess a book to scan. I mean a physical book. I’m sure a lot of individuals are like this too. Audio and videos on the phone/pill are fine, however reading a digital book is not my taste. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a good product, but this is something I have to deal with. • This product tends to overlap certain topics. I perceive that generally, important things want reminders, and there will forever be overlap. However during this case, it gets a bit annoying to me. It may not work for some, but it does for me. In the tip, I do bear in mind a lot of, thus it may be a sensible thing after all, however I wish to spotlight it. Worth and Upsells? You'll try the worth here. You may get the total course with all that I mentioned higher than. Why I think this can be smart once I compare it to several other programs out there's as a result of they offer you everything you need on the primary product, rather than up-selling you with heaps of crap, saying you would like it. They do have an upsell called the ‘Amazing Self’ series. It prices $thirty seven a month, and you get the primary month free. Thats value a strive on the primary month. I would say that the course is sort of one or two and it’s a lot of than enough to induce you thru everything you need to grasp, but this upsell is a nice add-on if you don’t mind spending a touch additional on it. Do keep in mind that it is a monthly charge. From my experience, folks tend to forget that, and once they stop using the merchandise/services, they end up paying more than whats needed. Our Final Thoughts A young man in deep thought whereas sitting on some rocks close to a beautiful waterfall. If you’re looking for a full course on a way to use the Law of Attraction, this can be a smart one to contemplate. If you’re still on the fence, let me tell you the explanation I got this product in the top. As a result of of the money back guarantee! And this is often not a pretend guarantee, Clickbank backs this up. I’ve bought products from Clickbank before and refunded some with no issues. The refund is by Clickbank themselves. You can be positive that they will refund you even if the seller doesn’t. That’s a full 60 days of using and testing it out, and if you choose that it's not price the money, keep the merchandise and acquire your money back. That being said, the refund rate on this product is only at 0.forty two% as of this reviews writing. Those are terrific numbers showing virtually all customers are proud of it. Hopefully, saying that won’t bring the refund rate up with individuals trying to urge the product at no cost. Either manner, if you opt not to get it, we have a lot of helpful resources here on our website that can facilitate you can where you want to be. Ought to You Get This Product? We’re arguing on each sides of the coin, and as abundant as we have a tendency to believe in the merchandise, it doesn’t mean that we would recommend it to you. Everything is based on your circumstances. Thus check out which category you fall into, and this will create your call much easier. This is often for you if… – You’re willing to commit a while – You believe in the Law Of Attraction – You've got dreams and goals – You’re open minded This is often Not for you if… – You don’t believe in the Law Of Attraction – You’ve scan the Secret and think it’s faux – You'll be able to’t spare at least 15 minutes every day – You’re buying on impulse – You would like instant results – You’re not willing to place in the work – You tried another course and didn’t end it Conclusion Simply a disclaimer, we have a tendency to wish you to grasp that we are promoting this product as an affiliate. This is a difficult post to write because I’m covering two subjects at once and I honestly don’t know where to begin.
A couple of days ago I received a request on Instagram to list favorite items that I buy in France—I’m pretty sure it was meant to mean beauty products. And I was all set to start writing about those products last night when I realized something.
I realized that when this blog post would be published, it would be on the 17th. Two years after Bonaparte’s aunt, Danièle Delorme passed away. Today marks the second anniversary of her passing. And she’s been on my mind since I woke up this morning.
From Gigi to Femme Fatale to a best-seller about her life and career. She was one of a kind and I am missing her badly.
If you are familiar with this blog, then you are very familiar with Bonaparte’s and my stays with Danièle’s apartment in Paris. When she was alive, her apartment was our second home. She was my French mama. And we had a blast together.
And so, on this day, I would like to link a few posts so that you can either familiarize yourself with her or have another look at some of my memories of her:
Here’s the First of Three Parts about our stay during Daniele’s Funeral. The second and third installments are immediately following Part Un.
One of my favorite photos of Daniele. I forget what movie this was from.
Paris Without Daniele–Part Un
Those blue doors. I could cry just looking at this photo.
The shocking news that hit me when I found out the apartment was being sold:
Au Revoir to Our Little Paris Apartment
Place Dauphine. Lively in the summer and at rest during the late fall through the early spring.
Our trip to Paris last November. It was bittersweet. Read the entire four posts about it!
Three Days In Paris. Leave the Chic at Home and Enjoy Being a Flaneuse
Now that you have a bit of a background on my many stays in Paris over the years, I’ll touch on a few more things.
First of all, Paris is a very special place for me. I’m a city girl. I miss living in Manhattan. My two favorite cities are NY and Paris—but that’s another story. I love Paris because of her imperfections.
Just one of the many reasons I love Paris. The morning views always make me feel very comforted.
And within an hour of Paris you get to see cool places like this…
And come back to this at dusk!
Paris is an incredibly romantic city. And not just romantic in the way it brings lovers together. It is romantic in other ways as well–buildings are ancient. Stairways are worn. Floors are uneven. Walls have peeling plaster. The streets are too narrow. I could go on and on and on—but with these imperfections, she is a city of beauty, history, culture, and splendor. And that’s what makes Paris romantic.
My version of Paris is not the one most bloggers write about. I’m not that blogger running down a side street in a pair of six-inch stilettos, wearing a midi-length fluffy tutu skirt with a tight-fitting Breton shirt, hair extensions blowing in the wind, carrying a Chanel bag in one hand and a box of Ladurée macarons in the other.
That’s because I’m the blogger who makes my own macarons. Here is mine with chocolate cream filling, pistachio filling, and almond cream filling. I think it’s time to make more.
Nor am I going to write about the starred Michelin restaurants that are spread throughout the arrondissements. Most of my meals over the years have been cooked by Danièle ’s various housekeepers. And might I add, she hired some mighty fine cooks!
Casual, informal table for three. Fathia was by far the best cook–she made couscous by hand!!!! Her tagines were the greatest!
Instead, I want to focus on one thing.
Shopping. As in normalized shopping. That’s right. You can go shopping in Paris and get really nice things without breaking the bank. The average French woman does not walk along Boulevard du Montparnasse carrying a Chanel bag. You will most likely see a Longchamp Le Pliage or a La Bagagerie shopping tote hanging off the shoulders of local femmes.
This La Bagagerie Shopping Tote is the bag you will see more women in Paris carrying than Chanel. I promise you.
Whether you will be traveling to Paris for the first time soon or in the future, please remember that Paris offers affordable shopping—and not just during the winter and summer soldes.
Let’s shop!
City Pharma: (Click the Bold Name to link to the website–I don’t know why it isn’t turning purple–WordPress!) How much do I love this treasure trove of all things beauty? Enough that I make it a point to shop there every time I go to Paris. This might be inappropriate, but during the three days that we stayed for Danièle ’s funeral, I made time in between family visits to get there. The discounts on brands such as Caudalie, Nuxe, Roche, Bioderma and all other French brand names is ridiculous! Even brands that aren’t well-known to those outside France are worth trying. I found one of my favorite toners here—a simple orange blossom water for less than 5 €. In fact, I hoarded and am now down to my last bottle. Time to get back.
THIS is the store that rocks my bateau! Bonaparte can wait outside and people watch while I go candy-pickin’!
Part of my haul from last year…most of this stuff is gone….
I think I may have paid tops 20 euros for this. It retails for $79. here in the States!
Mama is runnin’ low. I need to get back to CityPharma!
Freaking Bioderma’s small micellar water was a whopping €2.49. Here in the States, the same small bottle sells for about seven bucks.
That tiny bottle of micellar water by Bioderma cost me two euros and change. Here it cost almost seven bucks. The middle Fragonard lotion was purchased at the Fragonard Boutique. The Orange Blossom water is another CityPharma steal. I picked up three or four bottles. I’m dowm to my last one!
One euro and the best lip balm I’ve ever purchased! I also purchased this at Geant Hypermarche in Mandelieu-la-Napoule.
Located on the corner of Rue du Four and Rue Bonaparte, the place gets crowded as the day goes by. Get there early. Wear flat shoes. Be ready to shove your way through the narrow aisles. Grab a basket as you go in because I can guarantee that a lot of stuff will be leaving the store with you.
You’ll know that you’ve reached City Pharma when you see a ton of French men smoking cigarettes outside. They are waiting for their significant others.
Fragonard: This boutique at 196 bd. St. Germain is one of the most charming shops I’ve ever been in. It’s so adorable. During the summer, we always make a stop at the Fragonard in Grasse. But there are quite a few locations scattered around Paris. The scents here are very affordable and the selection is good. The perfumed body lotion is a steal at around €10 or 12. Soap sets make great gifts and my favorite, Fleur d’Oranger is always in stock. Don’t forget to have a look around at the cute fabric bags that Fragonard sells for various uses such as laundry and shoes.
Yes. The Fragonard shop in St. Germain is as cute as this illustration!
And even though I purchased the Fleur d’Oranger Intense (pictured on the right), These scents are always in stock at the boutiques in Paris.
This adorable fabric sac was purchased way back when–at the Fragonard St. Germain. I’ve had years of use from it. I pack my ballet flats in it when we travel! All for about ten or twelve euros.
Sophie Sacs: I found out about Sophie Sacs from a friend of mine. She also introduced me to Nat et Nin bags. Sophie Sacs is a discounted bag shop at 149 Rue de Rennes—a great shopping street, and affordable shops to boot! Sophie Sacs also sells a varied selection of Nat et Nin bags. The bags are like buttah and at the discounted rate come in at less than €200 for a decent bag.
Monsieur Sophie Sacs will take care of all your Sac needs!!!
It’s a small shop, but packs a whallop of bags!
Some of the Nat & Nin bags I’ve purchased at Sophie Sacs. Yes. There’s more.
La Bagagerie: 64 b. Haussmann. Another affordable brand. The shopping totes are a cross between a nylon Longchamp bag and a Birkin bag. You’ll see them all over the City. Beware though. If you purchase the shopping tote, make sure you buy a dark color. I had the cream color and it got so filthy that I had to trash it. Thankfully, it was very affordable.
Another brand of affordable bags with locations throughout Paris. If your luggage gets messed up you can buy new here!
Jeanne Danjou: 15 Place du Pont-Neuf. Hold on! I need a moment here. ……….. OK. In writing this post, I just found out that this jeweler is selling on Etsy. This. This is the smallest little bijou boutique on the corner at Pont-Neuf. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve passed this shop because I can’t count that high. But I’ve gotten gifts here and treated myself to a few things. The prices are crazy inexpensive proving that you can bring home a piece of French jewelry without going all Cartier!
Thankfully, Daniele’s apartment was up the street because this shop has unusual hours!
Aren’t these red earrings the cutest?
A coupla more pieces. Now that I know these goods are on Etsy……..
Monoprix: Various locations throughout Paris and all through France. Everyone raves about ‘Monop. It’s like the Target of France but a few years back, the prices were really cheap. Over the years, the chain has raised prices. I think you can get better prices on toiletries at Carrefour, Casino, and Geant. Just my opinion. But the great thing about Monoprix is the little nylon tote bags that you can get for one euro.
Load up on these. I’m not kidding. These also make great stocking stuffers!
Nicolas: Also, locations throughout Paris and France. The best place to buy wine but Nicolas also sells these one-euro totes as well. I’m demanding that you buy at least five of these bags. When you get home put one in each of the purses you use the most. These come in handy when you need to make a stop at the grocery store. But—if you aren’t aware, grocery stores in France do not offer free bags for your groceries. These little totes are essential. Better yet, buy twenty of them and hand them out to your friends.
All folded up…
This thing is in constant use–who knew that a little, nylon, one-euro wine store sac would be used over and over and over and over again!
If you get the chance, drop into the Guerlain Boutique at 68 Champs-Elysées. When Snow White bit into that poisoned apple and fell into that deep slumber, I’ll bet she was dreaming of this place because it is a girly dream! As a lover of Guerlain scents, I had yet to shop in this magnificent shop until Danièle decided to take me on a spending spree! I have never had an experience to rival this one and my damned phone broke so I wasn’t able to take photos!
This was where the magic happened. And from the ceiling, flowers were floating down. My damned luck the phone broke!
Well, I’ll always have Pushy Pink as a memory…
And my perfume!!
When we arrived at the shop, the sales staff greeted Danièle as though she was royalty. And when she introduced me as her niece from America, I was treated like the princess I was meant to be! The red velvet rope at the end of the stairs leading to the second floor was opened for us and I walked into a room with a larger-than-life lazy Susan filled with every Guerlain scent imaginable. I was ordered to pick whatever I wanted—and the large bottle of La Petite Robe Noire was put aside for me. Then it was off to buy some makeup! To this day, Guerlain’s Pushy Pink remains one of my most revered lipsticks and I use it sparingly. I cannot even describe the feeling of shopping in that store. But—I can tell you that if you do want a lovely, girly, fairy-tale shopping experience. Visit this flagship boutique. And buy am eyeliner pencil. It’s affordable!
Galeries Lafayette: Oddly enough, this isn’t my favorite place to go shopping. I prefer the smaller shops. But, during Christmas, the décor alone will put even the biggest Scrooge in the spirit! It’s beautifully decorated! Lots of little “galleries” in this huge department store—and at times can be downright overwhelming.
The ceiling last year at Galeries Lafayette. I was so happy that we were there for the Christmas decorations!
It was gaw-jus!!!!
Randomness: I hoard sugar substitute and those little candies in the tin. I don’t know why but I just do. Back in the summer of 2016, I discovered Adopt’ scents at Geant and now I’m hooked. I have various little spray bottles in different purses. My favorite is Oud Ambre. It’s one of those masculine scents but feminine at the same time. The little spray bottles run for about €6 and are a stellar buy!
If you are in Paris or any other area in France and you see adopt’ perfumes, buy a couple! This scent is the perfect autumn scent–it’s like tweed and leather and wool wrapped into one!
I must have 25 of those sugar substitute thingies. I buy them every year then forget about them–and those candies!
Think outside the box for gifts. I received this scarf from Daniele after she went on a shopping trip. It wasn’t something that I would have selected but I’ve worn this year after year after year since I received it. It is a lightweight wool and the threading is silver. But somehow it works. And notice in the small photo with the Antik Batik tag. The plastic is still there. You would think I would have cut it out? Non. I’m that lazy!
Don’t forget about airport shopping! I picked this solid scented perfume by Diptyque at CDG last year. I could not resist the packaging but this is some strong stuff! I must use very carefully!
Etam: Various locations. Great for underwear and pj’s.
And there’s always window shopping! But seriously folks. You don’t have to be the one percent to enjoy Paris or the shopping that it has to offer. There is something for everyone here.
I took this photo of a window display somewhere in the 6th. The dress is made of scarves and you can take photos have them printed and frame them–for a great memory!
I could go on and on and on, but right now, I’m going to leave you and re-read a letter I found that Danièle wrote to me ten years ago. And I’ll place it with her other letters!
Listen to this song by Henri Salvador “A Saint-Germain des Pres. It’ll put visions of sitting in a cafe in Paris on a lazy afternoon into early dusk, perhaps you will start off with a cup of coffee and end with an aperitif. This song is beautiful. Bonne Nuit!
My Saddest Bye from Paris and My Best Buys Too This is a difficult post to write because I’m covering two subjects at once and I honestly don’t know where to begin.

This Is The Year Zach Ertz Actually Breaks Out, and Other Fantasy Values for Week 1
Jim McCormick has covered fantasy football for ESPN for over 10 years. Each week, he’ll go over the best daily fantasy values and waiver wire pickups. This week, he focuses on Zach Ertz, who is poised for a breakout season in both fantasy and real-life. The numbers say so.
Baseball front offices got infinitely sharper when it became clear amid the Moneyball era that a range of outcomes for each player could be compared against the huge database of previous performance.
For instance, it wouldn’t take a very sophisticated statistical model to map out the very likely demise of aging power hitters. If age, injury history, and diversity of skills—such as defense and plate discipline—were factored in, you’d assume no competent general manager would have allocated Ryan Howard the money and years Ruben Amaro Jr. did in April of 2010.
It’s not that it was impossible for Howard to live up to the massive pact, it’s that doing so would have required bucking a massive sample size of Cecil Fielders before him. Amaro was betting a 34-year-old Howard would still be mashing instead of just cashing. There is an alternative outcome, likely one that would only occur with a probability of five or six percent, where Howard carried the Phillies’ power production into his mid-30s. In the end, the most likely outcome unfolded.
Banking on outliers isn’t always an awful practice, as there are undoubtedly human elements to a player and/or team that no spreadsheet can consider. Data shouldn’t define the decision process, but it should be part of it. Systemic dismissal of clear trends is often managerial malpractice in professional sports.
To pivot to fantasy football, Amaro definitely drafted Adrian Peterson and Frank Gore on all of his teams this season.
We’ll allow that incredibly overwritten intro to segue into a discussion of the upcoming NFL season through the lens of fantasy football and nerdy numbers. Football doesn’t translate nearly as well to predictive analytics as baseball, the ultimate Excel sport, but we do have an increasingly rich base of data to consider.
The Amaro example serves as precedent to consider how established trends should earn our attention when analyzing sports, particularly at the fantasy level. (I also used to cover the Phillies, and Amaro would have a separate presser at 3 PM most days, like 90 minutes before Charlie and the players were available for BP. All so he could tell the 11 disheveled reporters Utley’s knee was doing better. Thus, I’ll take shots when I can.)
Viewing the Eagles as a fantasy portfolio, I’m finally buying Zach Ertz as a breakout fantasy commodity after years of fading him. Rotoviz posts similarity comps for each skill position to help us get an idea of which previous seasons are viable future outcomes for a given player. We find Ertz in some strong company in regards to his career arc.
What have tight ends with similar age, experience, physical measurables and production to Ertz accomplished in past seasons?
Jason Witten finished second to Tony Gonzalez at the position in PPR (point-per reception) formats in 2008. Martellus Bennett was fourth behind only historic touchdown producers Rob Gronkowski, Jimmy Graham and Antonio Gates in 2014. Witten was fifth at the position in fantasy production in 2011. The top career comparables for Ertz suggest he’s wading in the top-five territory among tight ends for 2017. Sure, Ertz could be a low-end outlier of this collective, but I’m willing to bet he’s closer the median performance. I find the results of this comparative tool intriguing beyond fantasy football, as this is an Eagles team that really doesn’t have any impressive youth at the skill positions, thus it could prove pivotal to have a mid-20s player like Ertz take his game to another level.
A lack of touchdowns on Ertz’s resume has in part kept him from consideration for the top-tier at the position in both real and fantasy regards, but opportunity rates suggest positive regression should be on the way. The larger set of numbers suggest a correction is coming.
Ertz fielded 16 targets in the end zone over the past two seasons, tied with Gronkowski (who played six fewer games over this sample) for eighth at the position. Ertz caught four of these valuable looks for touchdowns– 25%. The conversion rate for NFL tight ends since 2015 is 43%. Cincinnati’s Tyler Eifert sports a ridiculous 79% rate, which is rare, but most of the big names at the position are north of 30%.
Ertz caught three of his nine end zone targets from Carson Wentz last season. Wentz threw into the end zone 37 times with a completion rate of 24.3%. The average completion rate on end zone throws league-wide last season was 37%. To avoid suffocating you with more stats, both Ertz and Wentz are due for positive regression in the touchdown department on such throws.
Their names also end in the letter Z and it’s quite likely they attend secret Z meetings together in the offseason—undoubtedly upping their rapport in the process. But seriously, if you told me Ertz and Wentz did Outward Bound together this offseason, I’d believe it. Even if there isn’t an established correlation for value, please inject players-hanging-out-with-the-quarterback-in-the-offseason narrative directly into my veins.
This passing battery should prove simpatico statistically if solely because Doug Pederson will set up play dates within the playbook; Wentz threw 172 passes to his tight ends last season, the most in the league by nearly 18%. Ertz’s 98 targets last season represent just 56% of the market share Wentz, by proxy of Pederson, created for the position in 2016. The absence of Jordan Matthews as a target magnet over the middle should also help, as Wentz was fourth in the NFL in passes between the hashes as a rookie.
Ertz has been tabbed a slow starter in his career, and this proves accurate via data; he’s averaged just 3.3 receptions and 40.7 yards and .11 touchdowns in games played in the first eight weeks since 2014. From Week 9 on? He’s averaged 5.7 catches, 61.4 yards and .27 touchdowns over the past three seasons. I figure the Eagles’ staff just needs to fuck with his phone or go full Truman Show and convince Ertz it’s already November. But really, injuries and schematic overhauls are likely the strongest corollaries for the sluggish starts. A big debut against an exploitable Washington defense would prove a welcome signal that these splits might just be noise.
Ertz doesn’t need anything remarkable to occur for a breakout season; simply the confluence of career arc, positive regression and one of the best usage scenarios in the NFL.
Well shit, I could have posted this piece a few weeks ago in time for your fantasy draft in order to actually provide a service. But how about in DFS? Ertz is 10th in pricing among tight ends on DraftKings at just $3,500 this week– the same price as the Panthers’ D/ST. The Redskins allowed just over 69 (nice) yards per game to tight ends last season, third most in the league, along with 11.6 yards per catch after initial contact, most in the NFL (as if Ertz breaks tackles). We can seek to exploit this lag between opportunity and expectation.
You’ve already likely drafted your team and there are plenty of start/sit and rankings resources around to rely on, so in future weeks, I’ll try to avoid verbose baseball analogies and instead work to identify market inefficiencies in fantasy football. Whether the focus is the waiver wire in traditional redraft leagues or the daily fantasy market, I’ll try to highlight some of the names and numbers that pop up as I work on player projections for ESPN each week. (Those player burbs you see on ESPN? I wrote 12,244 words on the AFC this past Sunday and Monday.)
In order to analyze more than one player this week, here are some of the other values I’m pursuing in Week 1, specifically when it comes to DraftKings:
Quarterback
Wentz shines as a value play on DraftKings at just $5,300, as Fantasy Labs (awesome resource) affords him one the highest value ratings at the position. He’s also leading the position in Bible scripture read this week, so there are real reasons to like Wentz in DFS and redraft this week.
Or we can turn to Carson Palmer, Wentz’s older ginger Sherpa. Palmer is a bit pricier than Wentz ($6,000) and went really cheap or even undrafted in most season-long fantasy leagues. The Lions pressured quarterbacks on just 20.2% of dropbacks last season, last in the NFL, while Palmer was third in air yards per attempt. Which is to say, an old guy who likes to throw the ball vertically could shine against a no-show pass rush. Detroit also allowed a 72% completion rate last season and this game has some positive Vegas metrics; such as a tight spread favoring the Cards and a healthy point total nearing 50 points.
If you drafted Andrew Luck or Philip Rivers (Denver has allowed multiple passing touchdowns just a few times over the past two seasons), Palmer is an ideal streaming signal-caller.
Running Back
Carlos Hyde fits my narrative checklist for the offseason; his value was dampened by buzz that the coaching staff supposedly hated him, he lost a good bit of weight, and his name is Carlos. Kyle Shanahan might be a running game whisperer (Alfred Morris!), and Hyde is an advanced data darling in the sense he forces lots of tackles per touch. Most importantly, Hyde doesn’t cost anything ($4,600 on DK) and plays atop a shallow depth chart. Did you see that slant route for the score in the preseason? I’m in a narrative coma at this point.
Sticking with the Eagles, if you want to pay punt pricing for your backfield, pairing Hyde with Darren Sproles is a solid move. Sproles was eighth among all backs last season in routes run per game, and the Birds were eighth in targeting tailbacks. The ceiling isn’t so high for Sproles unless he’s playing the Steelers, but a stable floor is helpful when loading up at receiver.
Receiver
Larry Fitzgerald is clearly aging, because he doesn’t go very far anymore. His average target is close to the line of scrimmage, and while Palmer likes to throw deep at times, Fitzgerald led the league in receptions last season (no really) as an elite security blanket. I barely go more than two miles from I house, so I get it, Larry. Read the part above about how bad the Lions’ pass defense proved. Fitz tops several predictive models, including those of Fantasy Labs. For those chasing tournaments, sub 4.3 burner J.J. Nelson should see the field for over 40 plays and was WR2 over the past six weeks of 2016.
The Titans’ Eric Decker is another veteran we can identify as a value play, as his touchdown rate with a variety of quarterbacks over his career has proven prolific. We don’t know who Marcus Mariota will click with in the red zone this season (where he’s among the most efficient quarterbacks in the league), so Decker is a cheap name in both redraft and DFS to consider against an Oakland secondary that could be exploitable on the outside.
Tight End
Ertz.
Defense
The Chargers are cheap in DFS and widely available in most redraft leagues. The Bolts also have a wrecking crew of pass rushers and created the second-highest pressure rate in the league last season; producing a hit, hurry or sack on nearly a third of opposing dropbacks. Quarterbacks don’t like pressure. I don’t like peeing next to people, so I get it. Trevor Siemian averaged fewer than three yards per dropback under pressure last season. Trevor loves peeing next to people. This defense could be fun.

These 5 Money-Saving Hacks Are a Huge Waste of Time
One of the many reasons you read Wise Bread articles is to live large on a small budget. That means deals, strategies, and money-saving hacks. However, although most money-saving hacks are well worth your time, some are red herrings. They appear to be great ways to save, but in reality, they can end up costing you a lot of time and trouble for very little reward. Here are five you should avoid. (See also on WiseBread.com: 8 Reasons Time Is Worth More Than Money)
See Also on Kiplinger: 7 Budgeting Tools to Get Your Finances in Order
1. Changing Your Own Oil
No doubt many people are shouting, “Hey, that is totally worth it!” at the screen right now, but let’s look at the time, effort, and costs involved and see what kind of saving you’re looking at. First of all, you have to purchase the initial equipment. This is a one-off expense, but you’re looking at a good jack with jack stands, a drain pan, a filter wrench, a good flashlight, and maybe a creeper, a set of gloves, and coveralls.
Depending on the quality of those items, you’re looking at a minimum of $300. Then, you have the parts you need for every oil change: the oil, and the filter. Again, quality here can dictate cost. You can pay anywhere from $4-$60 for a filter, depending on the make and model of your car. But let’s just say $5 for a filter. Oil is also a variable, depending on your climate, your car, and your budget. You can go for regular, blend, or full synthetic. You’ll need at least four quarts, and even if you get the cheapest regular oil, you’re in the hole for about $20. So there you have it — $25 for materials.
Then there’s your time. Mechanics with access to pneumatic tools and lifts can easily get under the car and do this in 15 minutes. You probably don’t have those though. You’ll spend around 30 minutes changing the oil, or longer if it’s your first time. You also need to purchase a container for the old oil, and dispose of it safely. Consider all of that, and then look around for deals in your area. Many garages will offer oil changes at a loss, so that they can inspect your car, and find problems that they can work on for a profit. You can get an oil change for $20 or less, most of the time with a synthetic blend oil, plus a top-off your fluids. Just don’t take it to the dealership, where an oil change can set you back $50 or more.

2. Making Your Own Detergents, Soaps, and Cleaning Supplies
You will often hear people (frugal experts especially), talking about the great value of making cleaning supplies. But before you dive into this process, take a look at the basic costs involved, and the time it takes to make them. Most of the time, you will have to buy ingredients that cost as much as, or even more than, the actual cleaning products themselves.
These days, stores like Target and Walmart carry store-brand products that are so cheap it boggles the mind. And empty squeeze bottles can actually cost more than cleaning products that come in squeeze bottles! So while it may be fun to turn your kitchen or garage into a chemistry lab, purchasing bora, baking soda, lemons, bleaches, lye, essential oils, aloe vera gel, clay, oatmeal, and all the tools needed to make your own products, just remember you’re not saving much money. When you can pick up laundry detergent for a few bucks, and window cleaner for 99 cents, you are literally spending a lot of time for a few cents.

3. Cutting Coupons
When you see these shows about people who clip coupons and get two carts full of groceries for under $10, you might think cutting coupons is an excellent use of your time. This, in most cases, is not actually true. Professional “couponers” go to great lengths to get these deals, and usually fill their garages and basements with hundreds of bottles and cans that they may never use. It’s a lengthy investment. For the average shopper, cutting coupons involves sitting at the kitchen table with a pair of scissors and a pile of circulars, spending a good 30-60 minutes looking for deals that apply. It’s 25 cents off here, and 30 cents off there.
See Also on Kiplinger: 15 Ways to Save on Groceries Without Clipping Coupons
Then, when it comes time to shop, many of us simply forget to use them, or they sit at home in a drawer waiting to expire. When you do see deals that are great, they’re for products you usually don’t buy, so you’re actually spending money to save money. If you spend an hour cutting coupons and save $7, congratulations… you’re earning less than minimum wage.

4. Searching Endlessly for a Slightly Better Deal
The internet, deal apps, and plethora other price comparison tools have turned us all into deal hounds. However, we can often get sucked into the trap of refusing to buy something until we get the absolute best deal we possibly can. We go to Amazon, then eBay, then do a bunch of searches looking for promo codes and special offers. In fact, many websites experience something called “cart abandonment” because they have a box for a promo code or discount. When we see that, we start the long, drawn out search for coupons and codes that are often only sent out to former customers in an email blast. Sites like RetailMeNot have certainly helped, but even then, we can waste hours trying code after code, eventually hitting pay dirt with that $2 off coupon.
Was it worth it? We may feel like it, but in reality, so many stores price-match and offer competitive values. In the end, we could have just bought the deal we found in the first five minutes. Don’t accept the first price you see, but after five minutes, when you notice the lowest prices aren’t changing, it’s time to throw in the towel.

5. Driving Extra Miles to Save a Few Bucks
We’re all guilty of this. Some people swear by apps that promise to find them the cheapest gas in the state, and then drive miles to save 10 cents a gallon. Other people will drive halfway across town to save 50% on the price of a toy or game, which saves them $5–$10, but costs them gas, mileage, and their time. What’s even more bizarre is that often, people look at the percentages involved in deals, not the money. The same person who drives across town to save $10 on a game costing $20 will not bother doing the same on a TV that costs $1,000 versus $990. Keep in mind that $10 is $10, regardless of the original purchase price. But all that aside, really consider how far you’re driving, and the money you’re spending, to see if it’s really worth it.

Black Friday 2018 smart home deals: Google Home Hub, Facebook Portal, Apple HomePod, Alexa gadgets and more
November is a time of tradition: colder weather, football, turkey feasts with friends and family — and, of course, scouring the web for the best Black Friday deals.
And yep, some of these bargains are available right now — including a number of notable Amazon bundles on Echo speakers that bring the price-per-device down below the individual Black Friday prices.

If you don’t care about using your thermostat as an Alexa access point, you can save even more by going with the previous-gen Ecobee3 Lite, which Ecobee is currently offering for $139, or $30 off.

Jet will offer the same deal starting the day before Thanksgiving at 10 p.m. ET.

Walmart calls this deal an exclusive, but Jet.com is offering this same bundle at the same price, and you’ll be able to get it starting the day before Thanksgiving at 10 p.m. ET. That’s a bit earlier than Walmart, for what it’s worth.

Nest’s smart security cameras are all pretty solid picks, but they don’t come cheap. Fortunately, you’ll be able to score a pretty sizable $70 discount on the original Nest Cam Indoor at Target this Black Friday, bringing the cost down to $129. It’s not the newest model, but it’s still a worthy pick, especially at this price. And by the way, if you don’t want to wait for Black Friday, you’ll find the same deal available at Lowe’s starting Nov. 22, and on Jet starting Nov. 21 at 10 p.m. ET.
One other note — Best Buy claims it’ll have Nest gear marked down by up to $70 starting on Thanksgiving Day. No specifics on any of those deals yet, but I’m guessing they’ll be the same ones that I’ve posted here. Keep an eye out, though.

Amazon has a relatively aggressive discount in store for the new, third-gen Echo Dot, too. At just $24, you’ll be able to get it for more than half off (and a dollar cheaper than its rival, the Google Home Mini, which I’m sure is just a coincidence). And yep, like a lot of these Echo deals, you’ll find the same price at major retailers like Target, Best Buy and Kohl’s, all starting on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 22).

Amazon Echo Dot (second-gen) for $20 (save $10)
Ian Knighton/CNET
Amazon already cut the price of the last-gen Echo Dot down to $30 when the new one came out last month, but the company is marking it down by another $10 for Black Friday, bringing the price all the way down to $20. I don’t know why you wouldn’t just pay the extra $4 for this year’s model, which offers a noticeable uptick in sound quality, but hey, maybe you’re just going to connect the thing to an external audio setup anyway. In that case, this might be the deal for you.
Expect to see this deal elsewhere, as well. For instance, it’ll be available at Best Buy starting at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

21. Lenovo 8-inch Smart Display for $99 (save $100)
Chris Monroe/CNET
Weve tested all of the impressive new Google Assistant smart displays this year — Lenovo’s was the first, and I think it’s still my favorite. Best Buy has the 8-inch version marked down by a hundred bucks for Black Friday, bringing the price down to $99. That’s the same price as the Black Friday deal on the smaller Google Home Hub.
Best Buy made this deal live as an early online special for a few days, but that window is closed, so you’ll have to wait until Black Friday for another chance at it. Some might want to hold out to see if Lenovo’s larger, 10-inch version of the Smart Display gets marked down, as well. Best Buy has that model included in the “up to 35 percent off” section of its Black Friday ad, but no final discounts or sale prices have been announced for any of those yet. If it gets marked down by the full 35 percent, that’d bring the price down to $165. I think I’d still rather spend $99 on the 8-inch model, but it’s still something to keep an eye out for.

Leviton Decora Smart Dimmer Switch for $40 (save $10)
