#when he's actually chill for once and nice to his underclassman

Danny and Jazz had no idea where they went wrong. Maybe it was that they got complacent after the 30th time their parents didn't notice their food was trying to kill them. Maybe it was when their parents started paying even less attention after Danny turned 16. Maybe it started the one time their parents actually noticed a snarky remark about their parents' homicidal tendencies where Phantom and the inhabitants of the ghost zone occurred. Heck, for all Danny knew it could've been not speaking up for Jack & Maddie's views that time they were around to hear Sam's typical rage rant about the GIW and its refusal to acknowledge ghosts as more than objects or animals.
Jazz mostly thought that it had been natural that they couldn't get away with sabotaging their parents' experiments that involved harming ghosts forever. Danny thought it was probably one too many winces at their descriptions of the torture experiments they wanted to perform on Phantom or that time they caught Johnny 13 & Kitty teaching him how to drive. It could even have been when they came home to Danny checking out Ember's album.
Either way one day their luck came to an end. Whether it was just their lack of hatred of ghosts or their parents actually noticing him they decided Amity Park and its general acknowledgment of Phantom not being a villain after he stopped a plot of Vlad Plasmius' that got a little too noticeable. Jack and Maddie had finally become fully aware that their son actively disagreed with their views on ghosts.
That didn't slide. They immediately bullied the principal into letting Danny do his schoolwork from home. Then as quickly as they could manage they transferred Danny to Gotham Academy. (Jazz was already attending Gotham University and Danny could just live with her. They didn't think to ask if that would complicate things for her.) Danny thought someone at the academy had gone insane until he learned Vlad paid the tuition out of glee that Danny wouldn't be around to stop his attempts to steal Maddie.
To his shock once the teachers noticed he needed a tutor and that he wasn't going to have any of the issues from his record at Amity High his school life was... kind of nice. And the bullies were the type that didn't attack physically in most cases so he could handle them just fine.
Not that things were as normal as he thought. The rogues that had chilled after realizing Danny only attacked first when their antics could hurt humans and purely defended himself the rest of the time liked to check up on him or ask him for a spar. Little did he know that eventually an underclassman, one Tim Drake noticed the things that gave him away as not quite human.
As the one Danny's age and therefore with the big highest natural chances to be near him Jason was tasked with observing him. He noticed right away that the pit's influence clocked the latest adoption bait as similar to himself. He also noticed the slight physical signs of bullying- little things in Danny's posture and body language that spoke of being unusually wary, and of untreated injuries that should have impaired him in some way. He was a real wise guy too- snark and sarcasm he could appreciate, and a taste for puns that would delight Dick.
A couple of weeks before midterms their government teacher gave them an assignment for a project that would replace a final exam. The students- in pairs- had to take an outdated or unjust law and defend their claim. Bonus points for including possible changes for the ones that didn't need to be fully repealed.
Jason immediately approached Danny, who agreed to be his partner with no fuss and few questions. That day after school they texted their respective guardians about the change of plans and settled down in the student lounge to decide a topic and possibly get started on an outline.
Jason expected the usual topics for things like this that didn't allow use of common controversial topics-something ridiculous, or that just made no sense in the 21st century. Maybe something to do with equal rights of some variation. That's not what he got.
"I know exactly what to do our project on and you need to find someone else to work with if it's not something you're cool with." Danny took a deep breath, as if bracing himself. "I want to do our project on the anti ecto laws and the GIW's undue use of force and lack of accountability."
"Huh?"
"You know, the laws against ghosts or any other creature even partially made of ectoplasm and the Men in Black wanna bees that capture and experiment on or destroy every ghost they encounter that can't get away?"
Every member of the hero community in the know that magic and alternate dimensions are real also knew ghosts are real. Some of the ones close to a hero specializing in the occult and supernatural have even heard of the Infinite Realms- a dimension connected to this one that contained all forms of afterlife. Now that he thought about it didn't Tim mention something about a partial news blackout that kept anyone outside of Danny's hometown Amity Park from accessing its local news and a strange few days where communications with Amity Park simply dropped like there was nothing to reach.
Bruce and Wonder Woman weren't going to be happy- they hated when the government pursued this sort of unjust action- the Justice League only trusted Amanda Waller because after the mess Lex Luthor made using Cadmus for his own gain she had slowly become the only politician who could work with them without asking for inaction despite how doing so would cause casualties or proving themselves a warmonger. Jason doubted Bruce, Tim or Waller would get a wink of sleep until they figured out how this slipped under Walker's and the Justice League's radars.
It was a good thing Danny was cute- things were probably going to be insufferable at Wayne Manor for a while.
Random dc x dp idea
What if the justice league only found out about the GIW and stuff from a school project.
Like Danny’s parents sent him away away thinking he was being manipulated into believing ghost were sentient. They caught Danny freeing a ghost from there lab or maybe due to timing assume that he helped Phantom escape.
So they sent him off to a different city/state and get him set up at a new school. My first thought is Gotham cause Danny is just perfect adoption bait. Right away I’d imagine they’d clock him as not fully human. So there keeping an eye on him or maybe he’s seen talking to one of his rouges.
When a group project happens where they have to discuss an outdated or a law they find wrong and present on it. The teacher thinks they’ll come up with stuff like how apparently according to google in Denver Colorado it’s illegal to drive a black car on Sundays not that a whole species could be experimented on.
Danny gets voluntold by whichever baby vigilante is monitoring the weird kid that he is their partner. Danny just goes with it follows them home to work on the project. Danny just hands them a law book with the acts book marked and highlighted and says the project is that or he walks.
Needless to say they are freaking out that the government deemed an entire species non sentient and are okay to experiment on. The justice league is freaking out cause how did they miss that. My theory on how they missed it is that the government hid it in a environmental act or something like that and they made sure no info came out of amity park. Amity’s news only stayed local and calls for help blocked all ecto activities were hidden. But that’s how the league found out.

Put A Ring On It
a/n: lmao tooru would actually beat your booty if you ever date kags
anon request:  hii can i have a hc like the oikawa sister reader x iwa but now with kageyama?? like the reader is literally the princess of seijoh and never liked anyone until he met kags?? tysm! u make such a cute ff
requests open!!
Tumblr media
he might not smile much but when he does, its the most beautiful smile I've ever seen
king and queen of the court??
lmao im getting chills
so since tooru went to kitagawa, it would be natural for him to want his baby sister to go there too right?
you are actually 2 years younger than tooru so that would make you about kags’ age
you are well-known throughout the school as oikawa tooru’s little sister and people also flocked to you since you got the good genes as well
but you were never interested in fear that they would take advantage of you for your brother or to just parade you as a trophy
anyways
you liked volleyball like your brother but you didnt want to play in a team so you just went to their practices to help the coaches
youve heard about this prodigy setter named kagayama tobio, who was also the grandson of a known volleyball couch
but youve only heard bad things about him
tooru lit rally comes home ranting and complaining about this new kid who is great at setting and you were just like, ‘okay and?’
‘y/n-chan! theres an outsider threatening to take your brother’s place! aren’t you worried for me?!’
‘nii-chan, its just volleyball’
‘just-just volley-! that’s it im disowning you’
while iwa just watches from the sidelines
oikawa just shouting and yelling in front of the fridge while you sit on the barstool while eating a banana, looking unbothered
keeping up with the oikawas part 2
you kinda knew him because kindaichi, who is your classmate, talked about kageyama, who was in kunimi’s class
‘tooru-nii never shuts up about him’
you complained to kindaichi one day
‘is he really that good?’
you knew the talent you brother had and the hard work he puts in volleyball as you were usually the one who woke up at night to help him with his knee pains
so you slightly understood his threatened feeling of this mysterious prodigy who just suddenly enters the team
‘he’s not terrible. maybe its because theyre the only setters in the team so oikawa-senpai is threatened about his position being taken’
‘but as long as he’s not a starting, then no foul done right?’
wrong
unfortunately, you were there to see tooru break down during practice when kageyama asked him how to serve
since you usually walked home with your brother and iwa-chan,
get yourself protective brothers
you were forced to wait until he was done with practice
captain duties and all that
and you were getting tired of just waiting in the cold so you go in the gym to tell off your nii-chan when you see him raise his hand at this tobio boy
‘iwa-chan!’
you shriek and he was able to stop tooru from hitting their underclassman
‘oi! oikawa tooru!’
kageyama looked horrified and was so scared that he dashed off
ngl, you felt bad for him and you knew that your brother was probably just overwhelmed w the incoming interhighs and he was just getting frustrated
so when iwa nodded at you that he got tooru, you went after kageyama, who was tossing the ball up in the air
he tossed it up once, expecting it to come back down but you snatched it right up
he turned to see a girl who looked exactly oikawa-san and he backed away
you saw him step back and you pouted
‘ehhh~? am i that scary to you, kage-chan?’
omg the way you even talk was like him
‘are you oikawa-senpai’s sister?’
hes heard little about you from kunimi
you nodded and gave him a smile before sticking a hand out
‘oikawa y/n, at your service’
‘ah, k-kageyama tori-bio’
you giggled at his flustered look
‘what is it? torio? tobio?’
ofc you already knew but he was so cute to tease
‘i-it’s tobio’
he was red at the embarrassment of messing up his own name but you thought he was so cute and a bean
you heard from kunimi that he wasnt very social and mostly keeps to himself or the volleyball team
‘sorry about my nii-chan, kage-chan. hes just stressed right now. dont worry, he’ll come around. i’ll make it up to you in his place, okay?’
your eyes scrunched up as you smiled to try and diffuse the situation and save your brother’s arse
he owes you
‘its okay. its also my fault for pestering him about it so i should apologize’
omg this boy is ADORABLE
DLKAFDKLJAFALSFEJISLKDJ
‘tobio-chan!’
you shrieked before hugging him and nuzzling your face into his shirt
‘youre so sweet! you dont have to do anything!’
he was actually taken aback by your expressive personality and wasnt used to being fawn upon, especially by a cute girl
he remained frozen on the spot and you worriedly let go, thinking he stopped breathing
‘tobio-chan? did you die?! tobio-chan!’
from then on, you just seemed to see him everywhere
for months you didnt even know this boy but suddenly, after the accident, you were just seeing him everywhere
from your classroom, you’d see him at the yard with kunimi and kindaichi as they toss the ball around
i will always think that this trio were initially friends at the beginning!
he seemed to be a very shy boy and was constantly trying to keep his emotions on check
but you saw the smiles whenever he thinks the two arent looking
that was probably why you absolutely had the biggest crush on this boy
but you didnt realize that you had a crush on him
you just wanted to help him come out of his shell and help him smile more bc it was so beautiful
so you cornered him by his locker one day and your cute smile made his cheeks go on fire
‘FIREEE~~~~ BULTORUNE!!’
‘tobio-chan! i want to be your friend!’
he was SHOOK
girls never really talked to him, much less his frightening captain’s cute sister
no words came from him as he just looked at you with wide eyes
‘o-oikawa-san?’
you pouted at the formal use of your name
‘haaa?! tobiio-chan! call me by some cute nickname too~!’
you crossed your arms and stomped your foot on the floor
omg no stop this at once little girl
he turned even redder and quickly stuffed his things in his bag before dashing off
‘eh?! tobio-chan!’
his days were filled with that
you were constantly yelling his nickname with a smile when you would see him and he would blush then run away
even during practice, you would basically act as their manager by giving them their towels and water
but it was obvious that you would pamper kageyama more
that irritated your brother
he dragged you home one day and was basically interrogating you
‘n/n-chan, youre not having a crush on that bastard kageyama are you?’
you glared at your brother, offended at the way he called tobio
‘don’t call him that, nii-chan! i will hit you!’
you shrieked and punched his gut
‘HES NOT GOOD FOR YOU, N/N-CHAN! HES A THIEF!’
tooru shouts and thus began the arguments between your fascination with kageyama
but you didnt care because you intend to uphold that promise and reach that goal through
all you wanted was to see tobio smile freely
one day, you were walking to school earlier than your brother when you saw kageyama at the intersection
your eyes lit up and you bounded up to him
‘tobio-chan!’
his eyes widened and he quickly turned around to walk away
ngl that hurted a bit
‘tobio-chan?’
that small voice made him stop and his head turned to look at your watering eyes
‘tobio-chan, do you not like me?’
you were so used to being liked and fawned over your entire life that the thought of somebody not liking you was so hurtful
maybe thats why you liked kageyama tobio though
he was focused on running away from you rather than going to you
for the first time, you would have to be the one who chased rather than being the one running
kags was worried bc his sister always told him to never make a girl cry and here he was, watching your eyes tear up
‘y/n-san, please dont cry’
you watched him walk to you and shakily wipe your tears away
a smile formed on your face at the touch of his fingertips and you hugged him
lmao we really bokuto 2.0
kags didnt know what to do bc if he hugged you back, that would give you a wrong impression of him wanting to be your friend
but he didnt want friends, he just wanted to play volleyball
but he smelled a faint strawberry scent from your hair and he unconsciously leans in, wrapping his arms around your body
at the feeling of him returning your affection, you giggled and tightened your arms around him while burying your face in his chest
‘do you want to be my friend now, tobio-chan?’
you were so insistent on being a friend that kageyama was touched at your efforts
he was just like
f it shes pretty and nice, its fine
he nodded
and thus began a cute friendship
well, more like a one-sided friendship since you were the more lively one than him
you would run to his classroom with kindaichi and eat with kags and kunimi
you would give him parts of your bento and you would hold his hand
thisgirl does not know personal space
one lunch period, you were all eating lunch when you were suddenly thirsty
you let go of kags and stood up, making the boys look at you
‘im thirsty so ill get something. want anything?’
they shrugged and told you to get whatever so you skipped to the vending machine
yall idontknow how to skip so i just kinda gallop
you got banana milk for you and random things for kindaichi and kunimi
but you didnt know what to get kags
you thought you would know since youve started being friends a few weeks ago but you really didnt know what drink he liked
so you chose the only blue thing they have
you went back to the classroom and gave their drinks but you sheepishly smiled when you gave kags his milk
‘i didnt really know what you liked so i got a blue carton because your eyes are blue and they reminded me of you’
kindaichi and kunimi gave you a disgusted look while kageyama blushed at the thought
this folks, is why kagellama tobiyolo is in love w that blue carton of milk
slowly but surely, kageyama has started opening up to you and you were so happy that he was starting to smile more around you
it took a few months but you were finally considered a friend
ofc tooru was deeply unhappy about this and always tried to foil plans between you and him but you were not having that
he was even harsher during practice but since youre always there, you would take a page from iwa’s book and yeet a ball to his face
‘i will hit you, nii-chan!’
it was a shock to the school that you were actually showing interest to someone since you rarely gave anybody else a second glance
and it was to this shy boy, kageyama tobio, no less!
when oikawa tooru has finally graduated, you breathed a sigh of relief
you were bumped up to best friend by kageyama and you always walked home with him
iwa-chan liked you (in a brotherly, platonic way) enough that he would even keep tooru in his house so you could hang out with kageyama longer
also, kags has finally came up with a nickname for you and has finally called you by something informal!!
imsoproudofhimohmygosh
‘n/n-chan, my mom’s cooking tonkatsu tonight. you wanna come?’
he asked you one night and you nodded eagerly, excited at the mention of your favorite food
‘yes! you dont even have to ask!’
you hummed as you skipped down the road, still holding his arm, and excited to meet his family
but to kags, this was a way more serious affair
youve never met his family before and hes worried that they might embarrass him in front of this cute girl
and he was right
when they stepped in, his sister, who was back from college, peaked and saw her little anti-social baby brother with a really really cute girl
‘mom! tobio brought a girl home!’
he shuts his eyes in frustration but you squeezed his hands
‘dont be nervous, tobio-chan. im right here, okay?’
oml he doesnt deserve you
his mom was so excited that he even had a friend and quickly finished dinner
you bowed in front of his parents and sister before introducing yourself
‘hello, my name is oikawa y/n. its really nice to meet you and thank you for inviting me to your lovely home’
‘omg oikawa-chan is so nice! dig in, everyone!’
kageyama met the eyes of his family and his heart swelled at their approval
it made him like you more
waitt, like?
like, as in, romantic?
like as in, i like you more than a best friend?
like, as in, i want to be your boyfriend?
he choked at that last thought and you hurriedly gave him his water, patting his back
‘daijobu, tobio-chan?’
no luv, life is not daijobu right now
he nodded before sighing in relief
one look at your face and all the thoughts started happening again and he turned even redder
dear god, he actually had a crush on you
nah, itll go away
right?
nope
this is a fanfiction kags, youre meant to fall in love with us
at the passing of his grandfather, tobio was an actual wreck
an emotional, mental, and physical wreck
he skipped school and constantly practiced at the backyard and refused to eat his meals, wanting to stay outside with his ball longer
at his second day of absence, you went straight to his house and when his mom opened the door, she gave you a sad smile and pointed to the back
you saw him trying to do a serve only for him to miss and hit his head before shouting curses
never have you seen him miss a serve
you studied his appearance and your hands trembled
his eyes were red with even more red around his eyes, chapped lips from the constant biting and the bruised knuckles from probably punching something
the last time you saw him was at the funeral after he asked you to go with him and you were so worried that he would turn out like this
‘tobio’
you softly called out and he paused, not moving to get the ball
he heaved a wheeze before choking out a sob
you ran straight to him and gathered him in your arms, cradling the back of his head to your shoulder
throughout your friendship, tobio has never been so affectionate
but right now, you were the only thing that made everything seem normal and he held on to you, so afraid that you might disappear too
as if knowing his concerns, you ran your hands through his hair
‘sshhh, it’s okay. im right here. im not going anywhere, tobio. im right here, okay?’
even you were hurting
everything started because you thought he was beautiful when he smiled so you made it your mission to keep that smile alive forever
but when hes sobbing and in pain, it gives more value to that smile because underneath all that, he was just a shy little boy who had a passion of volleyball
you didnt want to say anything to him but everyone knew that he wasnt exactly the same tobio
if anything, he was much harder with himself and trained even harder
he was staying later in the gym and he was starting to snap at everyone, even kindaichi and kunimi
they got into a massive fight during practice and everyone went home angry but he stayed after, putting his frustrations into doing jumping serves
you watched from the sidelines and when you saw him fall, you rushed over and gently patted his face to get rid of his sweat
‘tobio-chan, let’s go home’
he shook his head
‘no! i need to perfect this-!’
‘tobio-chan, lets go home’
your voice became stronger and firm so he hung his head low
‘you dont understand, y/n. i need to be strong and i want to be the last standing on the court’
you flashed a crooked smile
‘did you forget who my brother is, tobio-chan? i suffered through it with nii-chan so im not going through it again, especially with you. so come on, lets go home’
everyone in the school became wary of the former shy boy who seems to glare at everything and everyone
you were even told, straight to your face, that you were wasting time being his friend
‘ne, y/n-chan. kageyama-kun is so mean so you should stay away from him, okay?’
you glared at them before slamming your book close
‘say one more word and i will shove this book down your throat so youll never be able to utter a single sound ever again’
go off sister!!
you stayed with kageyama, even if he got frustrated and got angry at you, but he was your best friend and youve been friends for years
and you still want to see his smile
tooru was practicing a lot again and your sister and takeru were at tokyo for a trip so you were home alone
so you texted kageyama that you were coming over and he didnt respond which you took as a sign of agreement
so at your trek to his house, you hummed as you swung the bag full of meat buns and cartons of milk when you saw your 3 friends
you were about to shout and raise your hand when you saw kindaichi harshly push kageyama back and kunimi separating the two
‘you-!’
kunimi saw you and hissed at the two
‘stop this right now. y/n-san is over there’
you shouldve known then that everything was falling apart
at this point, you were the only one he let in as his family was too afraid to push him too far
you should be happy, right?
he was smiling around you and only you
only you were able to see such a beautiful thing
but now,
you were not happy with the way he acted towards everybody
during that iconic game in his last year of middle school, he pushed you away too
the locker room was tense and kindaichi was about to yell at him when you knocked
‘tobio-chan, can we talk?’
he wordlessly threw the towel down and hefted his bag before going outside to follow you
omg im getting flashbacks from my shirabu ff from yesterday
you grabbed his hand and pulled him in for a hug
youve given him many hugs before but this time, it was so strong and different than the others
his arms were around your shoulders while yours was around his torso due to your height and your head was leaning against the place where his heart would be
‘im going to seijoh, tobio-chan’
you paused, gauging his reaction
he didnt say anything, just keeping you in his arms
not iwa-level-bara arms but a healthy-muscular-arms
‘tooru-nii wants me to spend one more year with him before he goes to college and theyre saying my grades are enough to keep me there. but if you dont want me to go, i wont’
‘what? why wont you? its a good school and you deserve it’
his grumbles were still frustrated but he was rather calm whenever he talks to you
‘you wont miss me then, tobio-chan~?’
he could feel you pouting and that made him smile
‘i wont since youll come over to my house everyday’
you pulled your head away with mock surprise
‘everyday?! tobio-chan~! youll really miss me~!’
so you went your separate ways
but you spent every day of the summer together
much to oikawa’s dismay
and during your first day, he was reluctant to let you go
for 3 years you walked together at the same direction to the same place
but now, youd have to part ways at the same intersection
you softly smiled and giggled when he refused to let go of your hand
im busting uwus just writing this yall
my fingers said ‘free reign!’
‘tobio-chan~! i’m going to be late~!’
you playfully whined and gently pulled your hand from his grasp
but he didnt let go, still holding your hand while the other was in his pants pocket
‘we should skip today, n/n. we can go get meat buns and popsicles and-’
you walked back to him and wrapped your arms around his torso, chin rested on his chest so you could look up to him
‘as much as i want to, my grades and attendance need to be high, tobio-chan~’
he scoffed, ruffling your hair
‘once i become a professional player, you wont need to work. i can support us by myself’
bruh hes already thinking they would get married or something
you scrunched your nose in distate
‘i want to make something of myself. i was given a life so im going to live it’
‘but that means spending less time with me and-’
‘tobio-chan, i know what youre doing. stop stalling and let me go to school already~!’
‘no!’
he refused and caged you in his arms while you wiggled and laughed
‘ill see you later! i promise! now i need to go or nii-chan will yell at you~!’
with great reluctance, he let you go to school, pouting and everything
that cute pout he has oml
as your figure became smaller the farther you walked, you turned around and saw him still standing there and when he saw you look at him, he raised a hand
you jumped and cupped your hands around your mouth
‘MISS YOU ALREADY TOBIO-CHAN!’
i reference my previous works constantly
pedestrians looked at you weirdly and looked at kageyama too causing him to get flustered and run to school, your laughter echoing behind him
seijoh was already expecting the arrival of oikawa’s cute little sister and once you appeared, woohoooo
you got your own fanclub of ladies and genitals
they flocked over to your desk after tooru and iwa dropped you off at your classroom during lunch
‘ne, oikawa-chan, do you see anyone cute today?’
‘iwaizumi-senpai is cute, dont you think?’
‘no! yahaba-senpai is cuter!’
‘matsukawa-senpai and hanamaki-senpai are not bad’
we have matsuhana rights in this household
but you remained quiet, focusing on your phone as kageyama complained to you about some tangerine looking fool
‘oikawa-chan!’
that caught your attention and you smiled gently
‘hm?’
they giggled at your rosy cheeks
‘she has a boyfriend, probably’
you shook your head
‘no. i dont’
‘well, do you have anyone you like?’
you thought about it and shrugged
‘ive never really liked anyone before. i dont care about having a boyfriend either since my brother and tobio are enough for me’
that traveled quickly and soon, everyone was trying their best to woo the little princess oikawa
from lunch suggestions to study dates,
they all wanted to be closer to you
but you always refused,
‘tooru-nii wants me to eat lunch with him’
‘im hanging out with tobio-chan after school’
‘iwa-chan doesnt like you so no’
lmao yes
you were famous around the school for the way everyone treated you and catered to your needs to gain your favor
exactly like a princess
the princess of aoba johsai
the princess of seijoh
she ruled the court alongside the Grand King Oikawa and everyone practically worshipped them
everyone wanted them to like them, just a little bit, but you remained closed off to romantic relationships
when tobio texted you about the upcoming seijoh practice match, you were bouncing on your heels in excitement as you waited for them in the gym
kindaichi and kunimi were rolling their eyes at you
the other members of the team knew of you and were confused at your behavior
‘her boyfriend’s on the karasuno team’
‘the king of the court’
‘eh?! boyfriend?!’
‘y/n-chan, can you hand me my bottle?’
he wasnt answered as you shrieked and sprinted straight to kageyama who appeared at the door
‘tobio-chan~!’
you launched yourself and latched yourself to him, tobio immediately supporting you
‘geez, n/n, not in front of everyone’
you giggled
‘i missed you so much, tobio-chan~!’
‘then transfer over’
‘i cant do that! you know that!’
everyone was S H O O K
‘is she,,,, your girlfriend, kageyama?’
daichi and suga asked but the boy turned red before shaking his head
‘my friend’
‘ehhh?! you have friends?!’
hinata shut up i swear-
you cheered him on despite being on the other team
you got even louder when you saw your brother playing and he complained about your loyalties
‘you cheer on for your boyfriend but not your brother?! what is the meaning of this n/n-chan?!’
you rushed to give him a towel when he motioned you to do it for him like you always did
‘i want a girlfriend too’
‘we’re not dating you idiots!’
kageyama shouted from the sidelines to the orange hair kid
‘but you act like,,, that’
you smiled
maybe dating tobio wouldnt be a bad idea
i mean, hes cute, adorable, talented, funny, nice
you could deal with it
‘so youre syaing, we act like it already?’
you questioned towards the grey-haired guy who nodded
‘whaddya say, tobio-chan? should we hurry up and put a ring on it?’
he spluttered, almost choking on his water
‘r-r-RING?!’
‘well, you said youd support us in the future, right?’
‘i mean-yea-but’
‘okay then its settled’
both teams gawked at you while kageyama was too busy trying to not have a nosebleed or a heart attack by how fast his heart was beating
you turned to your brother who was looking like his entire world was crumbling
‘OI TOORU-NII! TOBIO-CHAN AND I ARE NOW DATING AND WE’RE GOING TO GET MARRIED!’
oikawa screamed
yall this is so long im--

What do people think of Tanya? AKA: Actually, a lot of people agree with Lehrgen
Summary: WHOOOOO BOY. You know it’s going to be fun when my subsections have to have their own subsections. Briefly, there is the Good [people who like Tanya both personally and professionally], the Bad [people who like/love Tanya professionally but not personally], and the Ugly [people who ideally, Tanya will never speak to, look at, send mail to, or be in the general vicinity of ever again].
I would say most people fall into the “Bad” category - they recognize her value as an officer, sometimes to a worshipful degree, but on a personal level range anywhere from thinking she’s a creepy child to actively disliking her. Unfortunately for Tanya, the people that fall into the Ugly category are as a rule higher-ranking than the ones in the Good category, and most people in the Bad category seem to like her specifically in her military role, and it is questionable they’d want her as even a coworker outside of that, let alone as a friend.
The Good
People who’re in here: People who have only ever heard of Tanya in the context of the Silver Wings award, people she interacts with in the Imperial Navy; rando soldiers; someone kinda high up in the later-war Eastern Army command; Ugar
People who only know her from Silver Wings:
V1/C1
Describes the nice aura people would see in someone who wins the Silver Wings.
The Navy
V3/C2
A naval officer does assess Tanya as having a predatory look, but doesn’t seem to think particularly badly of it, he just notes it, and then says “Degurechaff was a fellow soldier he could be proud of, which was why he extended his hand in utmost seriousness to wish her well.”
Rando Soldiers
There’s no real good single quote on this, but over time Tanya comes in to reinforce various units and leaves behind various impressions, ranging through Good, Bad, and Ugly, but anyway, there almost have to be low & middle ranking officers and soldiers who are presumably nothing but grateful to Tanya for rescuing them, even though we never get much of anything from their perspective.
Others
A superior officer of Tanya’s in Eastern Army command, in V5/C1, gets a transfer request for Tanya’s unit and reflects he is sad to be losing her.
Ugar - I don’t have down any specific pieces, but IMO it comes across in the LNs that Ugar is generally well-disposed to Tanya and doesn’t have the positive professional/negative personal thoughts that most other people close to her do.
The Bad
People who’re in here: Tanya’s academy/war college instructors, the 203rd battalion & later Kampfgruppe, Zettour, Rudersdorf, Generic Superior Officers, Romel, Lehrgen’s professional opinion
Tanya’s Academy & War College Instructors:
V1/C1
Tanya’s zeal during academy scares her instructors.
V1/C4
The instructors scrawled “abnormal” across the top of Tanya’s file.
“In the academy, we were told over and over – and, for some reason, over again – to love our troops. Weirdly, now that I think about it, I feel like they emphasized this the most when talking to me.” <= Tanya...you’re...you’re so close.
V1/C5
Mentioned that some teachers in the academy are on Lehrgen’s side of the What The Fuck Do We Do With Tanya debate.
V3/C5
Romel’s summation of her personnel assessment notes that at least on paper, the academy and the war college gave good overall evaluations of her.
203rd Battalion:
V1/C3
[Visha] “The moment she turned her icy cold eyes on us like we were objects to be appraised, I shrank from her in spite of myself. People might laugh at me for being afraid of such a little kid, but those eyes reminded me of the way a cat looks when it’s playing with a mouse, which creeped me out”
[Visha] “I was different from Lieutenant Degurechaff, who could calmly nail fleeing soldiers in the back with optical sniping or explosion formulas. I was relieved because I wouldn’t have to shoot.”
V1/C5
[Visha] “Was she an agent of the devil or of God? It had to be one or the other. Ahh, I can’t believe I have an ally more horrible than the enemy. She’s not human. I would bet my life on it. Me and a few others saw it once. During training, one of our teammates dropped like he was dead. The captain gave him a good kick, and before we knew it, she was back on his feet. I had been staring into the abyss of death myself…the captain heaped abuse on me. But I know, I saw it: she charged into the avalanche to save me. Even after my friends told me that she tossed my busted body aside like a used rag, I believe. She is definitely a good commander, even if I’m not sure about her as a human being. Of course, we all laugh and bad-mouth her…if the captain is an apostle of God, then only the devil can possibly exist.” <= in good news, Tanya, you are currently winning on your quest against Being X and mostly making people believe that he’s the Devil for allowing you to exist!
V2/C1
[Weiss] also refers to Tanya as a vampire
[Weiss] thinks Tanya is arrogant
[Visha] “her thought is That’s so low, Major.” <= this is in response to Tanya pulling out her child voice to announce they were going to bomb Dacia’s factory.
[Weiss] “Weiss has only known her for a short time, but even he can pick up the displeasure his superior doesn’t bother hiding. Her mood is as dangerous as nitroglycerin. When Weiss quietly takes a step back, everyone discreetly follows suit. Nobody wants to be so close to Major von Degurechaff when she’s irritated.”
V2/C5
[Grantz] “If the devil exists, it has to be our instructor, the commander of the 203rd Aerial Mage Assault Battalion, the legendary Major von Degurechaff. The way she smiled. The way she looked at us like we were maggots. The way she seemed thirsty for blood. I’d believe she had tried to kill a rebellious underclassman or crack his skull open. If I screw up on the battlefield, she’ll definitely kill me. That’s how threatened I felt by the instructor who just had to also be my advisor…I wanna cry.”
[Grantz] “This was the major who had once said during a speech at the academy that deadweight should be killed…This is crazy. No one said it aloud, but it was the look on everyone’s faces. This was a nighttime mission to abduct enemy soldiers…Magic Second Lieutenant Warren Grantz realized he was shaking. My survival instinct was screaming. I wanted to avoid the war, the combat, the killing. I was hesitating. But one glance from Major von Degurechaff was enough to subjugate that instinct. She was far more terrifying…I was so terrified I hardly felt like myself anymore…How could the major just calmly sing a hymn?”
[203rd banter] Visha asks if anyone wants to trade places with her so she doesn’t have to be with Tanya all the time, and Weiss and Grantz are not itching to take her up on the offer.
V2/C6
[Grantz] Is really, really bothered by how chill Tanya seems to be about Arene.
V2/C7
[Weiss] Reflects on all the horrible things Tanya has put him through, but ends his reflection on the note that he understands why it was necessary to prepare them for war.
V3/C5
“Apparently, the troops serving directly under her thought she was a great field officer” <= Romel re: Tanya’s personnel file
V4/C5
“‘Please have the 203rd be part of your Kampfgruppe. All of us in the battalion wish to continue serving under you.’”
Tanya doesn’t get what she wants, is then pissed, and it gives off weird abusive-parent vibes where all her children try to flee and not be present, and for the ones who have to be (Weiss & Visha), they take it by flinching, cowering, praying to God for Tanya not to explode, etc.
V5/C4
[Visha] “Reality is far too unreal. She’s crazy. There’s something strange about her...The colonel cackled – no, she giggled, smiling like a child. It was positively surreal to see her eyeing the enemy with her tender gaze and licking her lips. She snickered, but what was so funny? She was terrifying...Dripping red liquid. Pink things that used to be humans, flying everywhere. And opposite that scene was a beaming little girl. It was so surreal, it made more sense for me to suppose I had gone insane. No, maybe I really did go insane. The sight of my superior officer nodding with satisfaction and beginning a confession of her faith was horrific. I didn’t get even a glimmer of madness from her beautiful, innocent eyes. They were the eyes of a stubborn servant of logic, full of pure reason. But that’s what was horrific: those eyes stuck on that doll-like face.”
V5/C5
Tanya has some good banter with her Kampfgruppe soldiers and it seems like everyone’s getting along.
V8/C4
T: ‘Are you saying you throw yourself into the slaughter purely, justly – sane and sober? Don’t make me laugh. That’s a broken man talking. Going to war after downing some liquid courage with a grimace is much more human.’ He frowns for a moment, perhaps thinking to argue back, and then whines, ‘So are you drunk, then, Colonel?’ <= yes, a random officer from Tanya’s Kampfgruppe just asked if she was drunk and that’s why she’s always throwing herself into battle so excitedly.
V8/C5
T: ‘Glad you’re safe, Lieutenant.’ V: ‘Thank you, ma’am. That said, I would have rather you spared me from getting caught up in that attack.’ T: ‘What choice did I have?’ V: ‘What is that supposed to mean?’ Serebryakov puffs her cheeks out in a pout, which is surely a sign that she’s feeling better. <= Tanya, Visha wanted you to apologize, not excuse yourself, damn!
Zettour
V1/C5
“He doesn’t know whether they should praise her original ideas or call her insane.”
“Apparently, she hasn’t forgotten that she once said she wanted a battalion. She, a first lieutenant, to a brigadier general…something liable to provoke antipathy? She’s already done that.”
“The smirk on Tanya’s face reminds Zettour of some unpleasant rumors he’s heard about her.”
V2/C5
Zettour both remains horrified that Tanya was able to speak so frankly about a world war, yet he is sympathetic to the fact that she could do it because she understood what would happen.
V4/C3
Tells Rudersdorf that he “unwaveringly trusts” her military decisions.
V4/C5
Tanya comes to Zettour to request better units than he’s given her. He finds the request beyond arrogant, seeing as how pressed they are for men, especially for the fact that this is shortly after the Moscow situation and her battalion has “gone too far and been a handful”.
“Somehow, he didn’t think there could be that many damaged kids in the Empire like this young teen back from the battlefield. And actually, regardless of how he felt about it as a soldier, personally, the idea of interacting with them was terrifying.”
“But Degurechaff was unfazed and inquired about their experience with killing people. She saw people as products, and she was asking if they had been tested – that was the nuance. Could such a completely utilitarian view of people even be taught? Certainly, the army is an organization that pays attention to individual functions. Substitutability and cost consciousness are two factors hounding everyone. But can you really judge a human being by those criteria alone?...That innocent face and her straight back made her look something like a surreal doll. Doesn’t…Doesn’t anyone think this is strange?”
Zettour is mentioned to have originally had the same doubts about Tanya as Lehrgen, but after her performance he claims he is ready to “swallow any pill, no matter how bitter” (I think working with Tanya being the bitter pill) to win the war.
Zettour gives Tanya a little discretion to commandeer some equipment, she takes a lot of discretion. Zettour sort of laughs at off saying “this was Degurechaff” but does also mention that Tanya’s actions “amounted to a borderline interference in Supreme Command.”
V8/C4
Zettour is impressed with how Tanya has trained Grantz and thinks that if she wasn’t so good in the field, he’d put her in education.
“Sure, Degurechaff may have been broken, but not as an officer.”
Rudersdorf
V2/C1
Rudersdorf says that Tanya has a “distinct” [read: probably means difficult] personality, but if he just divided people into useful and not useful, she was useful.
V4/C3
Zettour and Rudersdorf debate Tanya, and he mentions that he only thinks she is talented in the military realm.
Generic Superior Officers
V2/C5
Tanya has a misunderstanding with her CO on the Rhine front. He wants her to train some new recruits normally, she mistakes it as saying “well, kill as few of them as possible, but do what you gotta do,” she gets kind of reprimanded over it.
V3/Intro
“Performance Evaluation: Major Tanya von Degurechaff:
Counselor’s Notes on character and conduct [this is printed normally]: Abundant loyalty and excellent fighting spirit. Follow regulations to the letter. Devoutly religious.
[this part is handwritten] Has a bad tendency to take matters into her own hands. Competent but as difficult to handle as a mad dog.”
V3/C1
“Some of the officers even added another thought in the back of their minds: Major von Degurechaff might actually be able to wring out even better results.”
V3/C3
Tanya goes wild on her base commander when he won’t let her sortie to Brest to prevent the French army from evacuating. <= Oddly, IIRC, no one ever like, apologizes to Tanya for not believing her, which is kinda rude, so mostly the incident reflects negatively on her instead of being a balanced: ok she did violate some rules, but...maybe if we’d listened to her we’d have avoided the rest of the fucking war, so seems like it might have been called for?
V3/C5
“The most important evaluations during a war are the ones from the battlefield, and those were all over the place.” <= Romel, re: Tanya’s personnel file
“The second was that although the evaluations were contradictory, she had achieved enough that she was considered an outstanding soldier. Awkwardly, regardless of how she was as an officer, as an individual mage, she was thought very highly of. Her number of kills was among the highest on the Rhine front.”
“In any case, strictly as a mage, she was unrivaled. As an officer, too, she was by no means incompetent. So they must have been giving her to him as reinforcements and as an excuse to get her out of their hair. Honestly, he felt like they were foisting off their problem on him. ‘They’re telling me to take a mad dog out on a walk with no leash?’ He let slip a complaint. Maybe it was just prejudice, but that wasn’t what it felt like to General von Romel. After all, he was basically being asked to bet on a bad hand.”
V4/C2
Everyone on the General Staff realizes the huge amount of fallout from Tanya attacking Moscow. The backstory of this is that when Tanya asked for permission, the General Staff thought she was just going to do a fly-by and freak them out, not attack the city. It pretty much kills any opportunity they had to negotiate a quick settlement with Russia in the cradle.
Romel
V3/C5
Romel’s first meeting with Tanya pretty much goes: “so arrogant it’s invigorating...unbelievably insolent...in addition to her self-important attitude, it exuded heavy sarcasm...not only was she arrogant, she was clearly horribly warped.”
“Any commissioned officer would understand just from hearing her make that one comment why the Northern and Western Groups couldn’t control her. Having a mage battalion drop out of the command structure was almost like losing a whole division” <= ie, Tanya’s previous superiors must have really disliked her to give her up.
“She simply decided she would be a patriot if it was good for the nation. In short, she’s a capable lunatic, but the bad part is she doesn’t realize she’s twisted…She’s crazy. And competent. And more sincere than anyone I’ve ever known.”
“Without a doubt, she’s going to end up being the most horrible person I know. And she’ll probably also be one of my most reliable friends on the battlefield.”
V3/C6
Romel reflects that she is a mad dog, and that she is an ego-crushing entity for the average officer. <= while Romel never brings this up, this has a *ton* of important real-world implications for Tanya, especially assuming men still have more than a little trouble listening to women outside the military. Even if you believe the best rumors about Tanya, you still might not want to hire her because she’s going to be better than you, and most people hate that feeling.
V4/C1
Tanya goes to the Eastern Front, and Romel reflects that he is sad to lose her and that once you got used to her, he found her easy to work with.
The Ugly
People who’re in here: Lehrgen’s personal opinion, Some wartime randos, OG Eastern Army Command, OG Northern Army Command, Imperial Government, people who mostly know Tanya from her Arene reputation, Western Army Command; Implied Future View of Tanya
Wartime Randos
V1/C5
“Some of those who had been on the front lines had a strange reaction to the name [the 11th Goddess] we picked. They claimed it was the worst joke they’d ever heard.” <= ie, Tanya was the Devil, not a goddess
V2/C1
Tanya is happy that Dacia has zero airpower. She displays her happiness by smiling maniacally and skipping around her tent. Everyone thinks Tanya is happy that they just got invaded again and the war is growing and she can go kill people.
V2/C5
A kinda random infantry guy is still having nightmares about Tanya in like, 1960, and reflects back on how he felt when he heard Tanya casually call for friendly fire to go right through where her men are flying. He questions why anyone listens to her.
“But when I replay the memories in my mind, I can’t help but shout, You monster! A hero, a star, and outstanding magic officer. You, ma’am, were a great officer. To all of us imperial soldiers serving on the Rhine lines, you were a god...Yeah, she’s a god – an immensely powerful one who presides over life and death. Her words, brimming with a spine-chilling anger, swept over the area as if she was planning to attract all the enemy hostility like moths to a flame. Major von Degurechaff had bared her fangs. It invited a violent reaction. The Republic wanted to hunt the devil. In other words, they devoted all humanity’s wisdom to killing the god of death. Gods don’t die, but those of us next to them? …They were right to call her a god of death. She killed the enemy, and the enemy killed our men. Then the noble major, with a glance at all the dead in the mud, took her leave. Fucking hell.” <= and you thought Lehrgen hated her. But, again, real-world implications of this could very well be that post-war, Tanya is a total persona-non-grata as someone that had a high degree of influence on how rabidly everyone fought against the Empire, and how the Empire was treated in the aftermath. I don’t make it out quite that bad, but it could be really rough if someone wanted to make it that way.
V4/C5
“The Guard Division had been on many assignments dealing with formal events, so we had experience…But what is that? That absurd, expressionless, doll-like creature was giving orders to people who appeared to be bloodthirsty mages just back from the war zone.”
“Could it really…could it really be possible for a child to wear such a smile?...Her hands were soft and would have looked more natural holding a doll, but instead, this odd, human-shaped creature spread her arms as she delivered a welcoming address. No one. None of the high-ranking officers present could raise an objection to this thing. The veteran mages all obeyed this inhuman being in the form of a person.”
OG Eastern Army Command
V1/C5
“The members of the eastern army had been openly angered by her annoyed look until days before, but now their faces were pale. She said exactly what she thought: ‘Incompetent, pitiful, lazy, arrogant, unprepared, mentally disabled, inattentive, no powers of observation’ and her conclusion was that ‘all mages of the Eastern Army group require reeducation’”
“The ranking officers from the regional field armies who had come to protest ended up bearing the brunt of the General Staff members’ critical glares.”
OG Northern Army Command
V2/C3
“With no idea when Colonel General von Wragell might explode in his seat at the head of the table, Lieutenant General and Chief of Staff von Schreise was inwardly annoyed, but at the same time, the atmosphere was so tense he wanted to bury his head in his hands.”
“Schreise couldn’t be the only one thinking that he would have thrown her out immediately if she weren’t a representative of the Central Army’s view.”
“‘You’re very humble, aren’t you?’ one of the staff officers murmured, curling the corners of his mouth into a smile that was more of a sneer.”
“Schreise had never seen a major with such a big head without making light of him…without hesitating even a little, she – a mere battalion commander – matter-of-factly gave her opinion to the staff and even had the audacity to disagree with them. Even with the sacred, inviolable General Staff’s power behind her, she was nearing an inexcusable challenge to authority. A head could be allowed to swell only so far. There’s a limit to what can be tolerated, even for recipients of the Silver Wings Assault Badge!...the major, though still rather new, was readily crossing a line of which all graduates from the war college should have been aware.”
V3/C5
“There was a pile of especially severe criticism from the Northern Army Group. They said she was transferred after voicing a clear objection to those in authority.”
Imperial Government
V2/C5
Tanya sinks a Commonwealth vessel, she is court-martialed, the military says she did nothing wrong [which I agree with], but the diplomats want to punish her to appease the Commonwealth. After the not-guilty verdict, Tanya’s smug-ass smile makes everyone go: umm...should we really have let her get away with this??
V4/C2
She then further makes the diplomats hate her over her Moscow raid.
V4/C3
Rudersdorf warns Zettour that Tanya going overboard is earning Zettour criticism from the government.
V4/C4
During her second court-martial, Tanya doing the most in Moscow manages to fracture the relationship between the government/supreme army command & the guys more in charge of the day-to-day war, like Zettour & Rudersdorf.
International Post-Hoc View on Arene
V2/C6
“They gunned people down like they were so many targets in a firing exercise. They got ‘points’ for shooting people. People had blocked themselves in, so they used heavy-explosion formulas to bombard whole districts. Those are all painful memories of the tragedy being shared today. Even counting only the confirmed deaths, the city of Arene lost half its population that day. In order to avoid the heavy responsibility for each soldier that would result if they went into the city and had to visually confirm their targets, they aimed to cause widespread fires via artillery bombardment from positions surrounding the city. A portion of the documents shows that they had chosen targets that were likely to spread the flames as proof-of-concept for firestorm.” <= the reporter doesn’t know this, but Tanya is the person that comes up with that proof-of-concept for creating a firestorm, as well as the person that creates the case to make it legal to repress a civilian revolt with a military. To me it seems like Arene is presented as the Tanyaverse Bombing of Dresden, except how it would be viewed if Germany had won WWII.
Tanya thinks about how if the Empire loses, her reputation is in the toilet if it becomes known that she did this.
Western Army Command
V2/C6
[The Lt. General or above that is in command of the Western Front] “A terrifying report or a proposal from hell. The one who thought of this was either a lawyer so cunning the devil would invite them to join forces or a criminal. This way of thinking is practically inhuman. Only a devil who forgot their reason and conscience in their mother’s womb could come up with such a tactic. That someone would equate having the technical capabilities for an operation with actually doing it…Are they deranged?”
“Luckily, an army corps commander summoning a mere major is extremely rare. Exceptional though it was, it meant there was a chance he might have to summon this monster again someday…Doing his best not to look directly at the monster straightening her posture in front of him, the army corps commander accepted that it was for work and met her.”
“The principles behind the actions of this major in front of him were impossible to understand using anyone’s logic or emotions. Her inorganic eyes compelled you to conclude that her thoughts, her frameworks, her way of being were all warped.”
This guy keeps going on and on more than I have here, tbh he’s one of Tanya’s main haters. It’s fine Tanya, it’s only the guy in charge of Western Army Command, who listens to him?
“I hope no one noticed that I just flinched, thought the army corps commander, sensing that he was distinctly afraid of her…No worries about what? He deeply wanted to ask what she was planning to do, but he held back. He told himself it was surely better not to know…But there is probably no one more suited to being a soldier than you. Perhaps you feel at home in hell on the Rhine front.”
V3/C5
“The Western Army Group declined to evaluate her, saying her good and bad points neutralized each other, so it was difficult to rate her. Furthermore, she had attempted to resist orders.”
Implied Future View of Tanya/The Parable of the Salamander
V4/C5
“From what I heard, the Salamander is adorable and very clever. If you show it affection, it’ll get attached to you. Like a German shepherd, it can become a trustworthy member of the family. Sometimes it begs or plays tricks, but apparently, everyone ends up overlooking these things. Of course, Mrs. Legen grew angry and screamed that it went too far, but…Well, in the end, everyone doted on the Salamander. Because when it’s even more reliable than a German shepherd, how could you not? At some point, though, the Salamander’s requests and pranks grew to be too much. But what do you think happened when no one was sympathetic to dependable Mrs. Legen, who had continued to angrily scold it the whole time? That’s right. No one was able to stop the Salamander! Of course, the Salamander loved and cherished everyone. But sadly, there was no one to teach it right from wrong. So the Salamander never realized that everyone disliked it. Soon it had exhausted everyone’s patience.” <= for reference, Tanya commands the Salamander Kampfgruppe; this is told as a cautionary tale that Andrew says circulates throughout the future Empire.
Your Author’s Take on Tanya’s Reputation vs Reality
The above should have real-world implications for Tanya’s personal life as far as friends, and for her career both within and beyond the military once the war is over, because, you know, people talk. Anyone who phones up an old pal because said old pal had some quality time with Tanya and they’re curious what she’s like is probably not going to receive a glowing personal recommendation, and the higher up those people are in society, the worse it is likely to be.
Even for people who think she has a genius applicable beyond the military sphere, outside of extreme circumstances people generally don’t want to employ anyone, no matter how smart, who is known for being unpredictable, uncontrollable, arrogant in the extreme, abusive towards coworkers, manipulative, possibly just straight up evil, etc etc. Within the military, after the war I would expect her to be hampered by the fact that a lot of people won’t want to work with her unless there’s a really pressing reason they need her skillset.
I can’t believe I’m bringing this show up from years past, but she’s sort of in the same position as Dr. House from the TV show - famously talented; famously toxic in the workplace; only one place will employ him, and at a much lower salary than his reputation should command, and even so, thinking that he could get away with that in real life is pushing the suspension of disbelief for the show. The same goes with friendships - very few well-adjusted adults are willing to befriend The Cool Asshole in real life.
When it does happen IRL, those relationships usually aren’t healthy & happy, and can easily end up with borderline-emotionally-abusive undertones because the follower is afraid of losing the leader, and molds themselves to fit what the other person wants so as to be an unchallenging, uncritical presence in the life of their idol.
For a story about an adult man reincarnated as a young girl fighting in magical WW1.5, YS manages to put a surprisingly interesting twist on the Main Character is a Cool Asshole Without Consequences model, with Tanya getting away with it in the present due to extreme circumstances, not realizing that the war is the only reason she’s getting away with it, and facing many implied future consequences for it.
While it’s entirely possible and often completely necessary to handwave Tanya overcoming this for storytelling purposes, as you can’t go many places story-wise if Tanya is as screwed as it sounds like she’s going to be, standard reality is that she’s gonna need to do some serious legwork to dig herself out of the hole she’s in, both personally and professionally.
I appreciate that the crux of a good Tanya story is often Tanya thinking normal reality will apply to her but then bypassing normal reality to end up somewhere she never intended on being, much to her chagrin, and readers therefore may feel adhering to realism violates the reality of Tanyaverse.
For the purposes of this story, I have chosen to stick with where the preponderance of evidence leads and apply a good amount of normal reality to Tanya, because that is exactly what allows me to proceed along a different avenue of Tanya misunderstanding things and ending up somewhere she never intended on being, keeping to the spirit of Tanya stories. Plus, Tanya doesn’t seem very intent on growing as a person in the absence of consequences and I need my character growth drivers.
...and I can’t avoid admitting I still end up handwaving some portion of those consequences for Tanya, since, as stated above, it’s...hard to go anywhere with a story if you don’t.

“Jungkook, if you’re not going to throw it then get your grabby hands off my waist,” you warn, eyeing him as he stands behind you and delays in one-manning you into an extension or ogling your ass in your skirt.
“You’re just so wobbly today, I’m waiting for you to chill out a bit,” he lies with a smirk. You smack his hand but exhale deeply as you firmly grasp his wrists and count.
“1, 2!” With mutual timing, Jungkook dips down with you before heaving your body above, squatting to catch your heels mid-air, and pumping back up into an extended position. He’s right, you wobble a bit, calling out, “Bail!” and feeling his hands disappear beneath to re-catch your thighs and bring you down safely on your toes. You curse silently under your breath but pat Jungkook’s shoulder as a symbolic “thank you”.
“It’s too fucking early for this, I’m tired,” you say, only making excuses for yourself.
“Well, liven up. The doors are going to open soon and no freshmen want to join a failure of a cheer team.”
“Hey, stop bickering,” the captain, Suzy, orders, “Y/N, you’re fine to just handle the flyers, I’ll stunt with Jungkook.” You squish her into an exhausted hug.
“This is why you’re captain,” you coo.
With that, some of the staff open the gym doors, welcoming an intimidatingly large group of people in with smiles. You fake one yourself, ready to get this over with as soon as possible so you can go back to your dorm and sleep. Within ten minutes, you had a group of girls and a handful of brawny guys already watching Suzy and Jungkook’s exhibition, a mixture of oohs and ahs being rewarded. You handed each of them a thin, poorly-made flyer with pixelated clipart of a girl doing a toe-touch before they scrambled.
After a while, most of the initial commotion dies down and you people-watch each clueless face, thinking how adorable they are, so young and so lost, as if it weren’t you only a few months ago. You’re only a sophomore, but in your head that gives you enough authority to judge the freshmen.
You snap out of your daze upon boots clicking in the distance, soon revealing a man seemingly darting through the crowds to exit across the other side. You would’ve ignored him if it wasn’t for his peachy-tinted hair, long and slicked back atop and close-shaven near his neck, his thin but fit stature dressed in all-black, and the glint of metal, that you soon realized was a septum piercing, in his nose. He has a dark sleeve consuming his right arm and you wonder what eighteen or nineteen year old has a fully-developed sleeve.
Although his eyes were covered with chunky black sunglasses (in the gym, at that), the rest of his appearance sent your pierced-and-tatted-hot-boy alarm berserk. Suddenly awake, you wait for him to head closer to your booth before hopping next to him.
“Hi there, freshie. Care to take a tryout flyer for this year’s cheer team?” you ask with a pitch that’s much higher than your own, kindly handing him one of the shitty-looking papers. He mutters something under his breath that you don’t catch but speaks before you can ask him to clarify.
“Not a freshman. Do I look like someone who cheers? I’m just looking for the counseling center to turn in my transfer papers.
“Also, can you, like, give me some personal space?” he continues in a mock valley-girl tone.
You jump back, completely caught off guard with his sudden hostility and attempting to regain your composure by clearing your throat. Someone must’ve shoved a stick up his ass this morning.
“Oh, uh, sorry. Once you leave the gym, you head right, pass two sets of restrooms, head left, and it’s behind the big statue where the foyer is.” Your voice sounds much better.
His eyebrows rocket upwards over his glasses, completely frazzled by the number of directions you gave him, “Shit, okay. That’s a lot.”
“Here, I’ll just walk you,” you say, not giving him any time for him to probably decline. You don’t even question if he’s following you or not, the obvious clunkclunkclunk of his boots giving it away.
Unsurprisingly, the man doesn’t try to talk to you on the way to the counseling center. At most, he walks side-by-side, at least three meters between you for good measure. And even though it’s pretty clear he doesn’t want to talk, you ring him out a little more anyway.
“So, you’re not a freshman. Underclassman or upperclassman? And you’re a transfer? From where?”
Pass two sets of restrooms and head left.
“Senior. From Busan.” He doesn’t even show a hint of feeling. Emotion. Does this guy even breathe?
Straight until the statue in the foyer.
“Great. Well, it was nice to meet you, senior from Busan. I’m Y/N. If you ever need help or anything, feel free to ask me,” you deadpan, swiveling on your feet to salute him.
He leans on one hip, taking a hand with an incredible amount of rings on it and pushing his sunglasses over his hair like a headband. You certainly weren’t expecting a reveal of the kindest puppy dog eyes you’ve ever seen in your entire life. He almost looks permanently sleepy—eyes drooping flat on the lid. Your trance distracted you from his brief once-over, unpredictably impressed by your looks, if he had to admit it.
“It’s Jimin. Jimin, senior from Busan. See you around, cheerleader,” he says with a sly tilt of his lips before swinging the door open and slithering into the office. Past all the glitter and bright colors that poured out of that hideous uniform of yours, Jimin found you really cute.
Jimin waits patiently for the front desk to call him up, lounging in one of the hard, black plastic chairs that never failed to give his ass cramps. Though he didn’t seem like it to new faces around the campus, he was ecstatic to be starting college again in a whole new atmosphere. He even got to room with another male originally from Korea, Min Yoongi, in a small condo not too far a walk from the area.
He could even prospect cuties like you during his year, undoubtedly positive he could busy himself judging by the attention he’s attracted so far. All it would take is a hungry stare, a lick of his lips, an all-knowing smirk. It was easier here than it was back home, if not child’s play. He could have you in three hours flat. But then he thinks of you choosing the obnoxious cliché of college cheerleader and cringes at the idea of associating himself with such… American-ness. He could at least go for some sort of indifferent, grunge hipster that might actually have some thought to her. Yeah, more his style.
The woman at the front finally calls for him, so he arranges his papers and shoos away any daydream of hooking up with the girl in a tight skirt and ankle socks.
Taking the long route back to the gym, your imagination sputters through all the possible reasons why you should hate that guy, bad-guy radar ringing and shrieking and threatening to punch you square in the eye if you even think about it. Eventually, it comes to the conclusion that he was just new, he was probably having a rough moving-in, and you shouldn’t judge a transfer by their hair. Book by its binding? You don’t really remember how the saying goes in this situation.
“Hey, good job on snaking yourself out of flyer duty. What, did you bang Asian Hot Topic on your way?” Jungkook snickers.
“And did Cait break up with you because you can’t dom for shit? Hand me my jacket.”
He guffaws, practically throwing the clothing at your face, “We didn’t break up, asswipe. How am I supposed to act when she suddenly calls me ‘daddy’ without previous warning? I’m not ready to be a father.”
“Kook, you’re dumb as shit. Maybe I should bang Asian Hot Topic and give you pointers of how a real dom works their magic.”
Jungkook crosses his arms in denial, “Pfft, you don’t even know him. He could be a receiver for all you know.”
One, two, three seconds. You both chortle at the impracticality.
Tumblr media
You take one final look in the body mirror, adjusting the slinky grey dress and hanging an oversized burnt-orange corduroy jacket over your shoulders for that final touch of unnecessary, but fashionably-adept, garnish to your outfit cupcake. Not having enough time to do your hair, you sweep it over to one side and leave it as is.
“You look fine and you’re ten minutes late so get out already,” your roommate, Sara, whines. She practically pushes you out, slamming and locking the door for emphasis.
Waving off your discombobulated roommate, you start your trek to the humanities building (which is so far away) with a skip in your step. A new school year meant new people, new classes, more lunchtimes with subpar food and occasional parties that could potentially lead to you getting arrested. Who knows!
A new school year, however, didn’t mean that you would know your way to your new class apparently. Bummer.
It’s only by your fourth circle and a glance at your phone that you panic, fifteen minutes somehow passing in the midst of your scrambling. Pace quickening, you pull out your paper with sloppily written notes of what class room number was at which time, simultaneously half-jogging past classrooms and—
“Oof!”
You land straight on your ass.
“Ow, watch where you’re going stu—oh, it’s you.”
You look up groggily, pain stinging through your legs from the brunt of your fall and lazily making eye contact with a pair of puppy dog eyes. Jimin stands above you, rubbing his chin where, you suppose, your forehead made rough contact with and indiscreetly staring at your bright blue panties where your dress failed to cover.
Hopping up and dusting yourself off, you pick up your fallen bag and paper before glaring at him, “Sorry, I got lost and wasn’t paying attention.”
He scoffs, “Aren’t you the cheerleader? You’re supposed to be, like, the girl scout of the school, right? You shouldn’t be lost.”
You roll your eyes, “Yeah, well. I am,” you mutter to yourself, “I don’t even think there’s a 207 in this building…”
“Oh, 207? Intro to psych, right? That’s where I’m going too,” he admits, eyes blown wide. Welp, certainly not the highlight of your morning.
“Great. By the looks of the current time, we’re both lost and,” you wave around the empty corridor, “there’s no one who’s going to help us.”
“I’m not lost. I just woke up late,” he answers nonchalantly, a warm glow to his face like he couldn’t give two damns about his class.
“W-What? Then let’s go! Where is it?”
Jimin twirls and walks a different direction, mumbling, “I’m not your escort, rich girl.”
You prattle at his comment but follow him anyway. When you find the correct lecture hall, you groan at the fact that you already passed it several times. He opens the door quietly, not even bothering to hold it for you as you scramble to catch it. A couple of the back rows look back at you two, annoyed by the minor inconvenience.
“Well. Welcome to my 10AM psychology class at,” the professor booms through the hall and peeks at his wristwatch, “10:36. Go ahead and take these two free seats.”
Jimin shrugs and walks towards the front of the room, a quiet and embarrassed you tiptoeing behind him. Being this late and having to sit next to this ass wasn’t how you wanted your first day to go at all.
For the remainder of the 24 minutes until the first break, you skim over the contents that you missed in the syllabus and want to ram your head into the closest wall. Participation and attendance by themselves are 30% of your grade, homework and assignments (thank god) being a measly 20%, and the final plus tests and quizzes a hunking remainder of 50%. What even was this system?
During your ten minute break, you silently scroll through your phone notifications, setting it down irritatingly when the hall refused to grant you enough service to respond to any of them.
“Don’t have LTE, princess? Might as well watch paint dry without your phone to entertain you,” Jimin snickers beside you. You scowl menacingly at him and he giggles more.
“I don’t know what your problem is, but back off, Jimin. Sorry I don’t, like, play the electric guitar in my free time or whatever.”
He doesn’t respond immediately, still smiling and blowing bubbles with his gum, popping them quite obnoxiously, and quite intentionally.
“What, do you think I play the electric guitar? Are you stereotyping me as some sort of garage band drop-out punk?” he jesters.
“And do you take me for some sort of pink fuzzy consumerist? You don’t know me. Buzz off.”
Jimin had definitely tucked you into his mental folder of “tough gals”; his aloof tactic of flirting not seeming to penetrate that pretty skull of yours. He could just take the path of least resistance and approach you normally, but where was the fun in that? You were too interesting a specimen to just use-and-discard.
Jimin suddenly thinks you look attractive with furrowed brows and pouted lips. It was most definitely working for you, so he lets it slide for now. When class ends, you all but bolt before Jimin can even look your way, sure he’d find another surface flaw to pick at.
You suddenly think of what all of the adults in your life have said during your upbringing: people that went out of their way to bully you were either jealous or had an embarrassingly crushing “thing” for you. Jimin, on the other hand, was just annoying.

Of course, to your dismay, class isn’t the only time you ever saw him. You weren’t totally stupid. The campus didn’t stretch for miles and you were bound to see him sometime and have to deal with the efforts of avoiding the man at all costs but fuck were you praying to whoever controls your Sim above that they would grant you some mercy.
“Just tell him to fuck off if he’s so far up your ass,” Jungkook argues, crushing his juice box in one gulp and biting his massive cafeteria burrito.
“You don’t get it, Kook. I have. So many times, in so many different instances. Did I tell you about the time I thought he was helping me get a textbook from a tall shelf but he ended up taking that last one for himself?” You angrily rip a bite from your limp sandwich. You really did hate Turkey Thursdays.
“Eh, first come, first serve. Maybe he didn’t know you were trying to grab that one.”
“My ass, Jungkook. He claimed that if I really wanted it, I would ‘do something in fair exchange’ for it. I’m not looking to going into prostitution anytime soon.”
“Respect sex workers,” Jungkook criticizes.
“Oh, no, totally. Sex work just isn’t my forte.” Kook shrugs.
“Okay,” you continue, “how about the time I went to IKEA to buy that ceiling lamp and was obviously struggling to one-trip everything from my car? The dumbfuck passed by and asked if I needed help, so I was like, ‘Yeah! Sure, it would definitely make up for the time you asked for sex in lieu of my psych book,’ but instead of helping me carry anything he took my coffee, drank some, and left.” Jungkook starts a rebuttal but you cut him off short, “Then he showed up to my work the other day, god knows how he even saw me in there, and started taking a video of me when I wasn’t paying attention!”
“What the hell,” your friend sports a face of disgust, “like, he’s stalking you?”
You scratch the back of your neck, “Well, not exactly? I think he was just maybe—see, A$AP Rocky may or may have not been playing on the speakers, and I didn’t know anyone was in the shop! So. I don’t know. I started—”
“Started rapping with a rolled up poster as your microphone,” he deadpans. Finishing your horrid sandwich, you crumple the saran wrap and chuck it at his eye, satisfied when we wails exaggeratingly.
“Maybe that’s just his way of flirting with you, he’ll get bored eventually.”
“I think he just hates my guts and thinks of me as an equal to the gum under his thick, goth boots,” you mumble.
“Does it matter? So what if Danny Phantom doesn’t like you?”
“He’s causing a problem though. Besides, everyone cares if someone doesn’t like them. It’s bullshit if they tell you otherwise; bullshit or a lack of sympathy.”
“So what are you going to do about it? Because I’m totally your friend and all but I don’t necessarily want to hear about your boy problems all the time.” You harrumph at his negligence and slump back into your seat.
There really wasn’t anything you could do about it; it wasn’t bad enough to the point of distressing tyranny. You simply couldn’t befriend the guy, it was obvious he didn’t want that. You would just have to pray to all things good that he would eventually lose interest, stop harassing you out of kindness, or have a change of heart and treat you like the saint you were.
If only it were that easy.

Sylly-week kicked ass, to say the least. Even two days prior the hectic week from hell, your body aches from partying while your wallet cries from all the textbooks and supplies you paid for.
Sara slept beside you, forehead stuck to the desk with her laptop stuck on some sort of half-assed document and you couldn’t fathom a better picture to represent college.
Although it was already around 11, you hop out of bed and throw on your windbreaker from cheer and some spandex, shuffling into a pair of your sneakers and bolting out of your room with your bag. The amount of sodium and sugar you consumed from Cup-O-Noodles and off-brand cookie dough bites made you feel disgusting, and you know running a quick mile at the gym would get your blood pumping enough to make you: 1) feel better about yourself and 2) put your ass to sleep.
The walk is short, the air still a little heavy with heat but cool enough for you to be comfortable in a long-sleeve. Some tired students exit the library, really the only other people you see at this hour. You would’ve thought it creepy if the campus wasn’t so well-lit and played background music through the announcement speakers. If you died or got kidnapped, at least it was to some groovy jazz.
You swipe your card across the sensor beside the athletic building door, waiting for that subtle beep before the gears clank and allow you to heave the door open. Immediately, the smell of sweat poorly masked with air freshener fill your nostrils and your adrenaline builds. You’re no body builder, but a run certainly sounded nice right about now.
You practically skip through the halls, rounding a corner to enter the weight room before you stop in your tracks to see someone in the room across. You squint suspiciously, peachy hair striking a very strong familiarity to…
“Jimin?” you whisper to yourself. You shouldn’t be surprised that he’s at the gym, but you are because he isn’t. He’s in the dance studio. Before you bolt, your eyes glue to his sensual movements, legs gliding across the floor and body free-flowing alongside the bass-filled music. No previous bias could deny that he looks like an angel in his room, dancing smooth as meringue and practically skating across the floor despite those clunky black boots of his; and powerful, hitting every note and beat with intention and vigor. You’ve never seen anyone dance like this.
After a few seconds, you render that you’re spying on him and continue walking, nervously scuffing your sneakers down the linoleum and immediately, and unfortunately, catching his attention.
He first sees you in the mirror. Ignores you. Then realizes it’s you and turns into the most ungraceful bag-of-bones as he scurries to pause the music and chases you down the hall.
“Hey!” he yells, grabbing your elbow.
“Don’t touch me,” you strike back, jerking your elbow out of his grasp and staring him down.
He looks apologetic, genuinely worried for a second before he breathes deep and tries again, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to grab you like that. Um, why are you here?”
“Um, because I can be? I was going to go to the gym, dickwad.”
It takes all of his patience not to insult you, “Okay. You’re right. Were you… were you watching me?”
You give him a sickeningly-sweet smile, “Don’t flatter yourself. I was just passing by.”
He nods solemnly, straightening his tank as if it wasn’t already wrinkled and damp with sweat, “Okay. Okay, cool.” He starts to turn before he keeps going in a 360.
“Can you keep this between me and you? That I was here? That I was here and I was—”
“Dancing?” you ask quizzically, “Why does it matter?”
His eyebrows stitch together in frustration, “Y/N, do I look like I’m a dancer?” He gestures to his piercings and his sleeve, waving his hands about in so many different places that your lewd curiosity wonders what he looks like naked—for the sake of knowing how many piercings and tattoos he has though, obviously.
“I think you look like a dancer. Just not a contemporary dancer. Did you take ballet?” you half-tease, crossing your arms and beaming slyly at him.
Jimin huffs, impatient, “Will you just keep it locked somewhere in that airhead of yours?”
“What’s in it for me, Jiminie,” you pout, “what do I get as reward for keeping your secret?”
He falters a moment, licking his plump lips and walking dangerously close, “You want a reward? I don’t take you as that kind of girl, Y/N.”
He must be delirious, eyeing him so and shoving him away, “Ew, no. I just meant, like, be nice to me from now on. And help me with psychology. That class is nothing but a memory test.”
He blinks dumbly from your rejection; who ever rejected him? He waves it off.
“Okay. I can be compliant. I won’t treat you like the rich bitch you are, and I tutor you on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Deal?”
“I’m not a rich bitch. I have student loans like the rest of the student population, thank you very much. Deal.”
You smile at each other devilishly, ready to part ways before bursting out with an instant, “Wait!”
Jimin looks over his shoulder curiously. Damn, you could really see how toned his shoulders were in that shirt.
“There’re dance majors here, is that what you transferred for?”
He turns all the way, leaning sideways against the wall and sighing, “Honestly, yes. But my family thinks I’m transferring to finish my business degree and that I would have better opportunities here. I really did it because there’s some great studios in the area but—” he catches himself rambling, “I don’t know how they would feel about my grand decision.”
You shrug, “You’re a great dancer, Jimin. Honestly, you could open your own studio here if you wanted to. You do have great opportunities.”
His sleepy eyes stare you down, a half-smile drawing itself out before he can take it back. “Give me your phone,” he orders.
You don’t know why but you do.
He dials into it with his overly-accessorized fingers, giving you a moment to get a closer look at his septum and the abundance of ear-piercings he sports before he hands it back. You’re pretty sure one of them is Gucci and you bite back a chuckle. Rich bitch.
“That’s my number. Text me when you’re free on study days.”
And with that, he re-enters his room and resumes the music.
Tumblr media
The first time Park Jimin meets with you at a Starbucks on a Tuesday, like he instructed, you thought you somehow managed to get yourself stuck in the Twilight Zone.
“Hey, it’s Y/N. My last class ends at 3 on both days and there’s already a quiz this Friday. Help.”
You sent the text without emojis. He didn’t deserve any.
You had barely got to Instagram before he texted you back. With multiple messages.
 “u text like a gramma”
“but ok”
“starbucks at 330? i’ll buy”
You giggled to yourself at his joke, sending a single “(:” and putting your phone to sleep.
To your disbelief, he really did buy you a cheese danish and a tall, iced, caramel macchiato. You sip it gingerly while he pulls his things out of his bag: a couple mechanical pencils (the industrial, expensive ones), a 1-inch binder organized by subject with dividers, and notecards. You grab them and hold them up like it’s evidence from a leading murder case.
“Notecards? You are way too organized and functional.”
He snags your pastry before you can grab it and takes a huge bite, “Yeah, but ih’s gonna het you a bedder ghrade.”
Whining, you get it back after his second bite, somehow only half remaining.
“Okay. Let’s get started. It should only be a vocab check because that’s really all he’s asked us to study so far. We’ll start with my wonderful notecards,” he waves them in the air for effect, “and see which ones you do and don’t know.”
You nod, waiting for the chaos to begin. Who were you to tell him that you haven’t actually studied any of the vocab yet? He holds the first one up. Abductive reasoning.
“Uhh… is that like, something detectives use on kidnapping cases?”
“Wh-What? No. Well—are you thinking of ‘abductions’? Abductive reasoning is being able to use the two states of induction and deduction alongside your intuition to reach a conclusion,” he pauses and tilts his head a little, “ I guess the best analogy is giving out a verdict on a criminal case. Without being 100% sure, they use the evidence to tie together as many different points as they can to come to a conclusion. So, I mean, you got it wrong, but you can easily remember the definition with that.”
You’ll take what you get (majority of his reasoning went through one ear and out the other, anyway), wiggling your eyebrows in justified approval. Jimin laughs at you, eyes squinting to slits and shaking his head. He takes notice that you aren’t wearing much makeup today, your cheeks and the bridge of your nose a tad red with irritation and a bit dry where the sun burnt and eyes daintier without so much eyeliner on them. You threw on a tank and some workout shorts and look like the epitome of… comfortable, in your head. Jimin thinks you look effortless.
“Park?” you wave your hand in front of him.
He catches himself staring and jumps out of his seat, chair screeching across the tile.
“Sorry,” he coughs, “I’m going to take a whiz.” Stupid. He practically trips over himself to get to the restroom.
You watch him hurry to the back. He probably had much better things to do than help you study in the middle of the afternoon. A couple of younger girls watch him as he passes, giggling like a pack of fangirls and combing their hair out of their faces. If they only knew.
Did he even have a girlfriend? Most likely not, right? He only just transferred here and despite his well-endowed looks, he was still intimidating. Like a giant “don’t touch, I bite” sign constantly hung around his neck.
He comes back shortly, and before you can deduct that you would rather save the embarrassment than to quench your curiosity, you ask, “Are you dating anyone?”
“Because you get a lot of followers,” you reason, shamelessly pointing out the girls who ogle his tattooed biceps. They giggle again when he looks their way. God, so many giggles.
He rubs the back of his neck nervously and that intrigues you, “No, I’m not dating anyone. I think if it weren’t for my… accessories? And the fact that I’m foreign, girls wouldn’t like me as much.” You find tiny comfort that he’s single but squish the thought away.
“How ‘bout you? Dating that guy on your team?” he retorts.
“Who, Jungkook?” you snort, “No. He has a girlfriend and he’s all brawn over brain. I’m not dating anyone, actually. I don’t like guys that are so competitive to win females strictly for the points, and there’s a lot of that here. S’gross; we’re not animals.”
“We kinda are,” he argues, but smiles understandingly.
“Okay, but not in the way where your possible significant other has to perform an instinctual mating dance?”
He juts up an eyebrow, “Really? Because I could easily arrange that.”
For the first time, you both laugh. At the same thing. Who knew that Jimin could dance of all things? And pay for your food? And actually be a nice guy who’s really smart? Thinking about it, today has gone so polar-opposite of what you expected that you contemplate if this is Jimin’s identical twin that just happens to have the same piercings and ink that bully-Jimin has.
Twilight Zone.
“Okay, let’s continue,” he says, resuming the queue of notecards.
“Define abulia.”
Tumblr media
“Hello? Earth to Y/N?” Jimin waved a hand in your face.
“Hm? Sorry, say it again.”
Jimin packed up his supplies, then grabs yours and tucks them into your bag, “I said, ‘Are we going to your place right now?’ You said you picked up Black Panther on DVD so I want to watch it.”
“Oh, yeah, sure. Cats and shit.”
You both stand up and stretch, the rest of the students in the lecture hall slowly filing out. Midterms were already approaching, which meant that you and Jimin had known each other for quite some time now. His tutoring was ditched weeks ago after you were finally comfortable with the material and able to comprehend what the professor was saying without Jimin to interpret. At first, meeting up stopped completely. You two would talk occasionally during class break and that’s all, and after a while, you just figured your deal was completed and Jimin finished his case and you both separated onto your different ways.
But then Jimin had asked if you wanted coffee at the same Starbucks you had first studied at, but for no specific reason. Just to hang out. So, you did.
Hanging out once or twice for coffee turned into twice getting lunch turned into four or five times lazing about your dorm, and now, you were just completely, wholesomely, friends. It was hard not to be on edge at the contrast of current Jimin to hell-on-earth Jimin, but you took what you could get.
“Is something on your mind? You’ve been spacing out for a long time,” he prods, taking your bag himself and throwing it over the same shoulder his own bag was on. The
walk to your dorm building was short but you could feel your feet dragging from sudden exhaustion.
“I think I’m just tired? I’m fine. Ready to Black Panther it up and all that jazz,” you chuckle. He takes the hint and resorts to quietly humming to your room rather than talking. That’s one thing you liked about him, he always knew when your mind just needed simple white noise.
Unlocking the door and jostling it out of its stickiness, you make a running jump to faceplant onto your bed. The mattress dips next to you when Jimin sits.
“I know you like cheer and all, but I think you need to take a break,” he says.
“Easier said than done. And I have mandatory captain conditioning in 3 hours,” you groan, propping your head on the palm of your hand to watch Jimin as he eats a stale bag of chips that he found on your nightstand. His face contorts in repulsion and throws the bag away.
“Okay, well, you’re not going. Tell them you’re sick. Let’s watch some DC movies and eat popcorn and have, like, a girl sleepover but I’m not a girl and I don’t want to spend the night,” he says, counting each point on his fingers.
“First of all, you lunatic, it’s Marvel not DC. Second, I don’t have popcorn. I can’t just skip conditioning because if I gain one pound Jungkook will sense it with his nose or something and attack me.”
“What,” he says in disbelief, grabbing your waist with one hand and squeezing a little, “you’re fine. You’re not going today and that’s final.” It’s not very often he touches you and as much as you try not to show it, you feel your face heat and mouth gape open and closed, ready to combust. You don’t particularly know why; guys touch you all the time (not in that way, thank you very much) but when it was Jimin, it was like you had been raised feral and failed to receive any means of human interaction.
He notices, taking his hand away as quick as he placed it and looking at the floor. Despite your lack of proper reaction, you would be lying if you said you didn’t feel a little twinge of disappointment. God, you’re so confusing to yourself.
“How about you? Your vampire ass won’t dance in sunlight so you must be tired too. How long do you normally dance for when you’re in the studio?”
“Well,” he lays flat on his back and stares at your popcorn ceiling (your dorm building was extremely outdated), “I try to workout at the actual gym in the morning before I get ready for class, and then I dance from 11 to whenever I feel is enough during the weeknights. That is, if no one’s there.”
“Why do you even follow this whole path of disliking mainstream trends and ‘rebelling against the world’? Isn’t that tiring? Aside from dance, do you, like, make your own skateboards and go to secret underground bars or something?” you tease. He rolls his head towards you in annoyance and mouths a “ha ha”.
“No, I just. I don’t know. I don’t like people telling me what to do or where to go or how to look,” he showcases his tatted arm. “This is all mine. I don’t want to be another puppet controlled my whole life to consume and work off a never-ending debt just so I can only live comfortably when I’m old but too old to actually live.”
“Wow, bro. That’s deep,” you pretend to smoke a pretzel stick. He continues anyway.
“Recently I made some friends that are in one of my labs. They’re from Korea too. If I’m not studying or working or hanging out with you, I’m probably with them. Partying or something,” he says, stealing away your “cigarette” and crunching on it loudly.
“Woah, you work? How do you find the time to do that?”
“Kinda. Nothing official, I just tutor people sometimes. Charge them by the hour and make some decent pocket change for food or whatever.”
You contemplate. How come he’s never charged you for your tutoring before? You ask him, studying his side profile and admiring his jawline when he talks. Flexing then easing; taut then relaxed.
“Because we had a deal. We agreed that I would help you in psych as long as you kept my secret, in which you did, so I figured that was good enough. Besides, you’re too cute to charge. I look like a bad boy but I’m not evil.” You giggle, resembling a middle-school fangirl and exaggerating a flattered stature.
Jimin laughs again, light and refreshing staccato notes that you could honestly listen to all day. It was therapeutic in its own crackhead way.
You’ve been unintentionally staring at him more and more often, Jimin finally taking notice within the last few minutes. He knew how to read a girl; how revealing they make themselves to impress him or how their eyes dim in any sort of suggestion that his hands should somehow find place on their body. But with you, he has no idea what that stare means. For the most part, you carry yourself so independently to the point of being standoffish and Jimin just can’t figure you out. He sought the day you would give in and beg for a night with him just like most of the other girls in his classes did, and when you didn’t, he wanted to know why. Not out of inflated ego or need to get into your pants—okay maybe because of that initially—but even more so that he just needed to dissect you. Know how to get you going, what kind of person you really are, which was completely different from what he originally imagined.
You were talking amidst his thoughts, not paying attention to the strings of sentences that fell out of your lips and before he knew it, he held himself directly above you, hands on each side of your head and staring right down into your disordered doe eyes.
“What makes you so different?” he asks aloud, more to himself than you. Puzzled and not under the impression that it was a rhetorical question, you shake your head.
“I don’t u-understand. What are you doing, Ji—”
He tucks a loose strand of yours out of your face, causing you to hiccup. “I feel like when I think I know you, I’m actually far from it.”
You don’t particularly know what you’re supposed to say to that.
“You didn’t ever need to get to know me. You just needed to make sure I kept your secret,” you play along. Knowing it wasn’t really the whole case, your own statement stings a little. If it weren’t to save his own ass, would he even be here right now?
Like he read your mind, he answers, “Why would I be here? I haven’t needed to help you in weeks. I’m with you all the time because I want to be. Because I—”
“Because you…?” you trail on, heart beating so hard you swear he can hear it. You wanted him to say it, maybe that’s what was keeping you from confirming your feelings. You needed validation; that this wasn’t just you or that this was some one-sided longing because you doubted someone like him could ever like someone like you.
“Can I kiss you?” he asks instead, so hesitant and delicate and worrisome all in one question and you ponder if this is the same boy you first met at orientation.
“Please.”
He dips down slowly, eyes half-closed in anticipation of what your face looks like so close, pausing an inch away when you shut your own. You feel his warmth near your mouth, waiting for that first touch, any contact, until it seems like it’s been far too long. When you peek, you see nothing but his perfect… cheekbone? He stares, jaw stuck open and eyes fluttering, at the intruder in the door before swinging himself off the bed and coughing awkwardly.
“Oh, Sara. I didn’t know you were coming home so early today,” you squeak out. You sit up yourself, brushing off nonexistent dust from the bed and watching Jimin gather his things in a rush and squeezing past a concerned Sara in the doorway. He doesn’t even turn back, ears stinging red and peeping a quick, havetogotextyoulater. Great, the asshole left you to face your roommate alone.
“Was that Jimin? Park Jimin? The fucking transfer student?”
“Oh my god, Sara, what’re you freaking out about?”
Dropping her stuff in the middle of the room, she shrieks annoyingly and grabs your shoulders, “Are you seriously fucking with the Park Jimin? Y/N. Nuh-uh. No way. Do you know what you’re getting yourself into?”
“Chill out! We’re just friends. He tutors me sometimes.” Not quite a lie.
She eyes you and deadpans, “Yeah, I didn’t know tutoring also included a one-on-one session of how to have sexual intercourse.”
“You’re so dramatic,” you remove her hands, which were digging crescents into your skin, and pretend to arrange your bed, “we haven’t even kissed. You just walked in at an inconvenient time.”
Sara sighs, rubbing her temples and sitting on your bed, “Look, babe. Just be careful. I’ve been to parties with him and have heard some awful things. Shit you expect from a movie where the girl gets fucked over because the guy doesn’t know how to keep his dick in his pants. I just want the best for you, okay? He’s not as sweet as you might think he is.”
He isn’t sweet at all, you said internally. But still, your heart clenches at her words. Sure, he acts like a dick, and you shouldn’t be surprised if he really does get around as much as Sara suspects; but there was just some sort of denial that lingered. If he really was such a player, why would he have stuck around with you for as long as he has, as platonic as it has been until now?
“I… I didn’t know that. I’ll be careful,” you assure her.
Tumblr media
All it took was a squinty-eyed smile and a tiny caress to the small of your back on the way into the lecture hall for you to completely melt into his hands. You were simply putty, magically molding into some gross, odd-smelling ball of love just because of the almost-incident yesterday. You can practically feel the radiating disappointment from Sara if she knew how easily you gave yourself up for him.
His face reoccurs in your daydreams for days, all the way up until the weekend comes up from behind and smacks you on the ass.
“Focus,” Jungkook taps you through you skirt again. Oh, or maybe it was Jungkook.
The stadium speakers blared with announcements and you’re brought back to the world of clashing helmets, captain’s orders and Jungkook’s strong hands residing on your waist for partner stunts.
You didn’t need to be reminded, you were much more stable than you were weeks ago. He throws you in the air during the signaling note of the band and catches your right foot with ease above him, keeping you stable as you pull a heel stretch and present a pretty smile. The crowd roars along, inspiring the team and singing along with the cheers.
By the end of the game, you’re exhausted, tearing down paper signs from the concrete walls and shuffling your poms into your bag in a hurry.
“Hey, are you going to the feed after? Everyone’s going, I could give you a ride,” Jungkook offers, but you shake your head.
“I’m pretty beat. I’ll go next time.” He shrugs, finding more interest in catching up to someone who is interested than trying to convince you otherwise. By the time your clean-up is done, most of the fans are gone, the stadium a comparable difference of quiet than how it was only twenty minutes ago.
“You’re sure taking forever,” a sudden voice pipes up. Outside the gate stands Jimin, all-black tank and jeans, per usual. “You looked great out there.”
You smile, suddenly awake and jogging towards him, “What’re you doing here? I thought you didn’t like football.” During all your rushing do you realize that you relax around Park, time always seeming to slow down in his presence and you dissolve into his effect.
“I don’t. Such an American moneymaker. They’re all cons.” He takes your bag like he always does, leaning against the gate and looking excited, “Mind if we stop by my place? I have something to show you. It’s not far, probably only a 5 minute walk from here.”
You nod before he even mentions how long it takes to get there, heart palpitating at the thought that he’s inviting you over. You’re sure you smelled from cheer and you probably looked like the opposing team warmed up suicide runs over your sweaty body, but you nod.
“Were you here the whole time? Or just towards the end?” you ask, slightly insecure towards the fact that he could’ve been watching you cheer.
“Was here since halftime. Got Yoongs to watch with me at the gate where I was before for the most part. He left halfway through fourth quarter though, said he got tired from seeing others exert themselves so much,” he chuckles at the thought, eyes squinting and crooked tooth visible from the side. Your heart swooned, you were even starting to notice the little things. How he acted. His habits. What he did and didn’t like.
You were in fucking deep.
“I did get to see you cheer though,” he answers your unspoken inquiry, “you looked pretty, Y/N. It’s like watching a whole ‘nother person compared to how you act outside of uniform.” You’re still stuck on the word “pretty” and nod along like you’re listening.
“You should see how people look at you,” he draws on, “like they’re entranced. Even when you were just relaxing on the sideline, not doing anything, you stand out.”
“Oh my god, Jimin, where is this even coming from? One more compliment and the world might explode from the paradox you’re creating.”
He shoves your shoulder lightly, laughing at your tomato-red face, “What do you mean? I can’t compliment you?”
“No that’s not—I just mean. You know. You used to hate me and now you shower me with praise like I’m the best person in the world. It’s just crazy how much our relationship has changed. And… And yesterday—”
“Yo, can’t believe you really stayed for the rest of the game,” a raspy voice outbursts. You just realize that Jimin stopped you in front of a house, presumably his house, as a mint-haired ball sits on the porch. He inhales from his cigarette and exhales through his nose before throwing it underneath his boot.
“Hey, Yoongs. This is Y/N. Y/N, Min Yoongi, my roommate. Has a bad smoking habit and have only recently gotten him to smoke outside.” Jimin snickers, offering a hand to lift Yoongi off the step and welcome him into some bro-hug.
“You smoke too, bastard. Just did it ‘cause I knew you were bringing someone home tonight,” Yoongi retaliates, eyeing your figure. Shivers run down your spine at the comment.
Jimin coughs unexpectedly, then anxiously laughs as he pulls your arm behind him and into the house, “We’ll be in the living room. Go sleep or something.” Yoongi only clicks his tongue in response.
“Sorry,” he says once your inside, “he can be a little too personal sometimes. He’s really nice once you get to know him.” You shake your head, giving him a comforting smile that eases the tension in his shoulders.
He settles you on the couch, host-like politeness apparent when he asks if you want anything to drink, tells you where the bathroom is, and hands you the tv remote before disappearing to find his laptop. His home was cozy, minimalist furniture often in gray, black, and an occasional blue spread throughout the rooms. You weren’t sure if the boys were attempting to be modern or if college tuition only allowed them this sort of set-up, but nonetheless, it was way nicer than you expected.
“Back,” Jimin plops onto the couch right next to you, Apple laptop unlocked to a default background. He looks to you briefly before setting up some page on Google, “Have you signed up for your classes for next quarter yet?”
He looks different, your eyes scanning over his face to figure out just what it is, “Basically, just gotta confirm and pay and whatnot. Have you, Jimin?”
It’s his septum, you discover, that he’s taken out. He looks handsome either way. Propping the laptop suddenly on your lap, he beams, “Yeah, go ahead and take a look.”
You scroll through the page, humming to yourself, “Mhm… Mhm… Accounting, business 101, contemporary repertory… God, you’re going to hate sociology with Doyard, she’s a complete psycho!” You trail, giggling at his misfortune. Once you’re done, you meet his discontent face.
It takes a few takes from his face to the screen, back to his face, until oh shit!
“Wait does ‘contemporary repertory’ mean something important?” you squeal in rushed excitement. “Is that a dance thing? Are you taking a dance class here?” Before he can even explain, you shut the laptop and safely place it on the coffee table before tackling the man, withdrawing an oof from his lips.
“Easy, girl. Please don’t break me before I even get to show up on the first day.”
“Jimin, this is amazing. You’re finally doing something you want to do, during regular hours, at that!” You nuzzle into his warm chest, “I’m so happy for you, Jimin. I hope you have fun.” His heart clenches at that; how could you be so fucking caring about him? He knew you’d be surprised, but not genuinely happy for him. His hand glides over the skin between your midriff and skirt, an inkling of a gasp floating out of your throat.
“Sorry,” he whispers, moving his hand higher and locking eyes with yours. Time is always slow with him but now, it’s like it was screaming at you to take the opportunity. Unwinding one of your arms from around his neck, you smooth his hair up so you can see those prepossessing eyes.
“You can touch me,” you confirm just as softly. His features harden and you hope you didn’t read the situation wrong.
“I… I never got to kiss you that night.”
“Then you can kiss me now, if you’d like,” you say, pleading in your voice and it’s all he needs to hear before he burns his lips into yours. “I can’t tell you how much I’ve wanted this,” he pants between suckles to your bottom lip. He kisses like he dances: powerful and in perfect control with his body, molding it to yours and massaging the skin he just apologized for touching only seconds ago.
You cup his face and look down at him with sultry prowess, “I want you, Jimin. I’ve always thought about this, hoping you would just make a move, idiot.” You dive back into him, his moans prominent when you lick and nip at his lip. He lowers his grip to your ass, squeezing and pushing his hips into your own.
“Well, I’ve always thought about fucking you in this cursed uniform,” he growls, forcing a giggle out of you. Grinding down into him for effect, your mouth travels to his ear so you can state a small confirmation.
“I’m flexible, babe. I’m all yours.”
He hums his praise, latching his mouth onto your neck, laving and peppering blues into your skin before he carries you off the couch. You wrap your legs around him instinctively, “Where are you taking me?”
Heading into a hallway and taking a sharp left, he kicks his door open, “I don’t know about you, hot stuff, but Yoongs doesn’t need to see you getting dicked down in our living room,” he jests. When he lays you back onto the foot of his bed, you briefly scan his room and find it hard to believe that it’s relatively clean, the posters on his walls the only thing that seemed cluttered. This guy was your high school self’s wet dream. Scanning him promiscuously, you chuckle.
“I can be into it,” you drawl playfully.
Earning an unimpressed scoff, he fingers the hem of his shirt, “You’re mine,” he sheds it in a swift pull and throws it to the side cockily. Marveling at each detailed divot and curve of muscle, you can’t help but bite your lip in frustrated anticipation. “Unless, you don’t want me,” he finishes with a tilt of his head. He knew what he was doing, simulating innocence to draw you out of your transfixed stupor to hear those three words string from your mouth. You reach out to touch his abs, tracing over linework of ink and watching him shiver from your touch. Knowing exactly what he wants to hear, you gaze into oblique eyes and mouth the words, “I do want you”.
Goading him on, you lay back and extend your legs above you, shuffling your spandex tantalizingly slow over your skin. Jimin whistles at your show, staring at the white g-string you sported under your skirt and wandering his hands over the supple skin you expose.
“Jesus, you fucking tease. Leave the skirt.” Tittering at his request, you dig your heels into his back to propel him down towards you, his ringed hands keeping himself afloat and a winning smile winking down at you. Bless your heart you didn’t faint right then and there.
He kisses you like a man starved, lips burning hot with desire and aching to be bit—so you give him that. Sinking your teeth gently into the flesh, he punishes such action with a slap to the underneath of your thigh, then holding it close to the side of his abdomen and rolling over with you on top. Practically suffocating from lack of air, you dislodge yourself, quite reluctantly, from his mouth and soothe his complaints with brief kisses to his thick neck.
“Why didn’t we do this—ah, before?” he pants. Sucking a particularly tender spot of his jugular, he moans out and bucks into your hips. You continue your way down, leaving no inch of skin untouched until you reach where his skin ends and the nuisance of clothing began.
“You don’t make things very easy for me. Can I suck you off?”
“Fuck, don’t ask. Just do it. Turn around, though, I’ll finger you at the same time,” he offers, propping himself up on his elbows as you readjust yourself with your head towards his bulge and your ass facing him, knees keeping you up on one side of his torso. “Perfect,” he commends.
Unbuckling his ridiculously tight jeans, you hook your thumbs under the denim and whisper a quick, “Up,” to pull them off when his hips lift off the mattress. Your pride inflates at the sight of his bulge resting in the crook of his thigh, adorned by simple black boxers that hugged him in all the right spots. All but drooling at the member, you place a loving kiss where you know his head resides, mouthing at it gingerly and soaking the material with your saliva.
He ruts into your face as he watches such indecency, “You know, I should probably tell you something,” he says rather seriously, shuffling your skirt up above your ass and mischievously prodding at your sex with his thumb.
“Hmm,” you mumble, sliding his boxers down enough to suck at the pink tip that oozed of precum and spreading the liquid around with your tongue. The bitterness that came with it was all welcomed, slightly sweeter than others you’ve ever tasted and you appreciated it much more when a man this good-looking was laid out before you.
He groans, “Ever heard of a Jacob’s Ladder? Fuck, right there, underneath a bit…” You suck and nip at the skin of his frenulum, knowing he was bound to like small dosages of pain mixed with his pleasure—a guess all too correct when he cries out in ecstasy and gives your ass a light spank.
“A Jacob’s what?”
“Just—just look at it. If you don’t like it then I can just take them out,” he sighs, all too impatient to give you a rundown of whatever a Jacob’s hoo-ha entailed. You perk a brow at his vocabulary, halting your mouth and sliding his boxers the rest of the way down.
If you weren’t riled up before, you were hot, ready, and willing to beg on your knees to be stuffed with Jimin and his… accessories. You understand the term “ladder” now, three rungs of metal pierced on the underside of his shaft and glinting up at you with intimidation. You hope Jimin can’t see the now overflowing amount of arousal oozing out of your pussy, squeezing thighs together in a useless attempt of hiding yourself.
“Fuck, didn’t that hurt?” you question, hovering fingers over the balls of silver that protruded on each side in complete awe.
“Of course it did, honey. It’s all worth it, though. It’ll make you feel good too. Need me to take them out?” You shake your head a little too vigorously, earning a chuckle and his middle finger to slide in between your folds unexpectedly. Yiping at the sudden entrance, you cast a glare over his shoulder with his only response being the curve of his digit.
“C-Can I lick it? Can it get infected if you don’t use a condom?” you bombard him with questions, entirely unfamiliar with the subject and entirely enamored by it.
“It’s all healed up, baby. You can do whatever your little heart desires with it. And I would oh so much prefer going bare,” he confirms, and your heart flips at his pet name for you. That, and the thought of his thick, pierced cock penetrating you condom-less.
You wrap your lips around him once more, unafraid to take more and more of his length until you feel the cold metal—your stopping point. Call it your lack of experience, but you prefer not to catch your teeth on those piercings today. You make up for it by sliding a hand back under his scrunched boxers, fondling his balls as you bob diligently. He curses and struggles to keep his body still, digging another digit between your legs to slow your own ministrations. When it works and you moan around his cock, Jimin can’t help but want to play a little game.
“Should I give you a challenge, babe? It’s super simple. Whoever makes the other cum first gets to request something. Anything. Deal?”
“Deahl,” you muffle, swirling your tongue lavishly around his crown. Everything with Jimin was much more… intriguing. Even your first time having sex was turned into some lusty escapade of unexpected metallic embellishments and cheeky gambles. It made you feel something in your veins, wanting more and more of whatever poison Jimin was.
Taking a breath, you lick broadly over his entire shaft and scarcely taste the titanium—more than anything, it was just cold. Jimin shudders at the feeling, punishing you with a third and final finger and pushing downdowndown into a spot all too sensitive for you to focus.
Try as you might, your now pathetic attempts of sucking him off is all forgotten in your own haze of chasing your orgasm. Instead, you rest your head on his hip and writhe against his hand, fucking back onto it while he simultaneously prods your g-spot over and over again until you see stars.
“Giving up already? You were doing so well for a while, you could’ve won,” he lilts.
“Jimin, please make me cum. Oh god,” you wail, legs straining for just that final push…
“Is this what you want?” He slides his thumb across, swiping whatever he could collect and using it to knead at your neglected clit. It’s all you need, pleasure washing over you in tandem of near oversensitivity, a near scream tearing through your lungs that only comes out in ragged whines against his leg.
“Beautiful, sweetheart. Fuck, you’re ruining my sheets over here,” he criticizes, removing his hand with an obscene squelch and moving around in the bed.
The torpor you caught yourself in didn’t render what he was saying, just letting him move you about so your head rests on his pillows while he places himself between your legs.
“Jiminie,” you babble, “fuck me.” He strokes your hair away from your face and smiles, that cute puppy smile that turns his eyes into crescents. The rest of him, though, is purely sinful. Hair sweaty and pieced to perfection as his body taunted you with toned muscles.
“I don’t think you’re ready, honey,” he answers, “even though you’re dripping in your own cum.” He leans back and stares at your pussy without embarrassment, pulling your knees together and watching the juices flow even more. “I should put it to use.”
You peer up at him, curious as to whatever the hell he’s dreaming of over there and inexplicably stunned when you see his dick between your legs. “J-Jimin, what are you doing?”
“Shh, just keep them closed tight,” he orders, fucking himself between the lips of your heat and the warm skin of your thighs. You can’t help but ravish the sight of him as he slicks himself up, eyeing you down as his hips roll into you agonizingly slow. His piercings graze against your nub occasionally, warmth once again growing in your stomach.
“Fuck, you’re so soft and so wet. Who did this to you, hm?” You moan maniacally, angling your hips as to catch him and push inside, but he only laughs degradingly and intentionally misses.
“You think I’m going to fuck you if you can’t even answer this simple question?” he sneers. “Answer like a good girl, then I’ll fuck you into oblivion.”
You scramble for words, initially incoherent and struggling. “Jimin! Shit, Jimin. You made me this way. Ah, you m-make me so wet, so please put it in, put it in and—ha, aah!”
He shoves his length in like it’s all he knew what to do, your ankles to his shoulders so he can drink up your moans with his reddened lips. He was right—the piercings didn’t feel like any dick you’ve received before, it was so much better. This was pornographic, it was so good. He all but pistols into you, his cock grazing places previously untouched. Indulging in his heaven sent strokes, you cry and groan at each relentless thrust.
“Hush, baby, Yoongi’s going to hear your pretty self,” he warns, but you don’t give a shit. If anything, you moan louder with a know-all glint in your eye, testing Jimin’s patience. “Brat,” he spits.
He pounds into you repeatedly, completely removing himself before filling you up again and again and again. Between the pressure to your g-spot and the added stimulation from his Jacob’s Ladder—your stomach heaves, an unfamiliar feeling washing over your abdomen contrary to anything you’ve ever experienced.
“Oh, Jimin, wait!” you sob, halting his hips from another brutal shove a little too late. The second he pulls out, your second orgasm (and first ever untouched orgasm) of the night reigns over, briefly showering his lower stomach in your own wet arousal.
“Holy shit, that’s so fucking hot. Did you just… squirt on me?” he growls, not taking the time to hear your answer as he lifts you into his lap, legs wrapped around his muscular back and arms gripping around his shoulders for dear life.
He sinks back into you deliciously, filling you to the brim with your added weight and rutting up into you to chase his own release. Everything is soaked and sticky, Jimin’s ragged breathing and groans so close to your ear that you’re sure it’ll be engrained into your memory forever, his thrusts so deep inside you wail once more.
Consequently, the banging on the wall next to you comes as no surprise, Yoongi’s angry, “Shut the fuck up!” clear as day. Jimin waves it off.
“Don’t listen baby. Moan louder for me. Tell me where you want my cum.”
The slaps of skin become louder; it wouldn’t be long before Jimin came. “Inside, Jiminie, please. Cum inside me, pump me full,” you squeal, lust sparking inside you knowing that his roommate could hear you getting fucked senseless.
One, two, three more aching pounds before he spills into you, his pretty moans music to your ears. You flop back as soon as he takes himself out, suddenly aching all over from how much he stretched your legs and groaning at the pain.
You slap his eager hand away when he fingers his cum back into your abused lips, “That hurts, idiot.” He smiles and sucks your intermingled cum off his fingers with a pop.
“We taste good together,” he husks. Fuck. “By the way. You came first. Stay the night?”
You oblige with or without the pressure of the bet, dog-tired from your beating and not even fathoming the trek back to your own room. Jimin takes charge in your state of haziness, washing you off in his shower, replacing your uniform with a t-shirt of his own and laying you beside him on his mattress (sheets replaced and refreshed).
“You have piercings in your dick,” you state in the middle of the quiet.
Jimin snorts at the outburst, looping an arm around your side and melding his body to yours, “Yeah, is it weird?”
“… Robot dick,” you whisper, words cracking at the face of your laughter.
“Oh my god.”
“So, when you’re going through metal detectors at airports and whatever, do you have to tell them that the metal’s in your penis? Do they have to check?” Titters are awarded with light jabs to your side, which are then led to screams and kicks to his legs.
Yoongi bursts through Jimin’s door, brows stitched together in heated anger parallel to the flames of hell, “I swear to fucking god, if you two don’t quiet down I’ll mount your heads on my wall, it’ll make a great decoration.”
“What the hell, what if we were naked? Don’t just go busting through—”
“Yeah because you obviously care if I know you two are fucking. ‘Don’t listen, baby! Tell me where you want my cum, baby!’” Yoongi mocks. Pillows are flying and insults are thrown as you watch them bicker sleepily, all fading into white noise as you begin to drift off.
Sleep itself feels like a blink, so exhausted that you don’t dream. Waking in the same position that you were last conscious in, the only difference in picture is the fact that: A) the sun is shining through Jimin’s skylight and B) Jimin is no longer in bed with you.
But before you can even question where he’s run off to, his sly self sneaks back into the bedroom, shirtless and face clean from washing up just now. You don’t even hide the fact that you look down to check out his tight briefs, metal detector in your brain trying to scope it out.
“You’re awake. Sorry if I was loud,” he smiles, crawling on top of you as you stretch out like a mangled cat. You shake your head, combing his hair back with your nails as he dips down into your chest. “I like when you wear my shirts.”
“That’s pretty stereotypical,” you whisper out, voice low and raspy from your slumber. This isn’t fair, you think, he got to brush his teeth already.
He sits up and gives you A Look, making you giggle and giving you the leverage to feel up his abs as he flexes haughtily.
“I can get used to this,” you purr.
“I bet you could,” he mumbles into your neck, nipping at the places he already marked last night. He doesn’t push, just relishes in your warmth and fondles you carefully as you continue to wake up and it makes you shiver.
“I wish you would’ve done this a long time ago,” you sigh.
“You hated me.”
“You didn’t make it easy for me to like you,” you retort, gasping when he bites your collarbone, “Now—Now I like you.”
He stops abruptly and pulls away, landing on his side with an elbow and tilting his head towards you, “Well, I hope you don’t start liking me too much.”
You squint, “W-Why? Don’t tell me this was just a one night stand or anything.”
“No! I mean, not just one night or whatever. I just—this is just casual, right?”
You all but bite your tongue to keep from lashing out, “What do you mean ‘casual’? You didn’t say anything about ‘casual’.”
“Oh, Y/N, c’mon. Did you really think we should date? Look at us, baby. We’re just not… each other’s types, you know?”
It’s about time you get up, shoving aside his warm blankets and grabbing your soiled uniform from the floor, “No, Jimin. I don’t know. I thought you were being genuine with me.”
“Hey, no, don’t leave,” he grabs your arm before you leave his bedroom, “Okay, there was some miscommunication. I’m not trying to be mean. Can I just… I don’t know, think about it? I’m just not used to this.”
Looking into his eyes for some sort of confirmation, your tensions subside. “I’m not a toy. If you don’t want to be with me, just say it.” The hurt he feels in your tone breaks his heart, for once. Would he really be willing to try something he knows won’t work?
For you, maybe.
“I do like you, Y/N. Just give me some time.” He pulls your arm once more, hoping you’ll stay. But you draw the line and pry his hand off politely.
“Of course I’ll give you time. I’ll see you later, okay?” He nods understandingly. He can’t feel butthurt when he’s the one putting you on ice, he knows that. So Jimin watches you leave in his shirt, mind clouded more so than when you arrived.
a/n: yay! you made it through the first part! if you liked it, feel free to let me know or ask any questions to the characters! xx, selene

Like Oh 2.0 - Dates. Lessons. Gym.
Previous Chapter: Chinese Class Word Count: 3,845 Summary: Jaebeom has a group date with his Konkuk University buddies. Melanie also has a group date with her Seoul National University friends. Serena’s an English teach aide where she’ll be teaching Jinyoung, Youngjae and Yugyeom. Jeannine checks out the gym where Jackson and BamBam are working out, too.
Like Oh 2.0 masterlist
this is the second chapter and more like a filler chapter to explain some things for the future chapters and the likes. so happy reading and kthxbai, Admin Lia~
Mark arrived back at the dorm with GOT7's manager, Seunghoon, in tow and expected to be greeted by his fellow members, but was instead greeted by the chaos of bodies rushing from one room to the next. While standing in the vestibule, Mark watched in amusement as Seunghoon walked passed him and towards the bathroom. Yugyeom noticed the older male first as he slipped on his shoes. "We're running late for our English class." "Ah, that's right. I forgot some of you were actually going to take a class for that." He noticed the younger male sidling up to him with a sly look. "Jaebeom hyung is actually getting ready to go out on a group date with his friends from Kondae." Yugyeom wriggled his eyebrows playfully. "They're going to meet some girls from Seouldae." He let out a giggle as Mark nudged him with a smirk. "Jealous that you can't go?"
The youngest shook his head with a small smile as he slipped on his backpack. "Jackson hyung and BamBam aren't here as they went to the gym." "Maybe I'll stop by the company later then." Mark said as he moved out of the vestibule and towards the living room as Yugyeom followed him. "Why?" "Because that's where Jackson and BamBam went." "No. They're downstairs." Mark shot him a puzzled look. "There's a facility downstairs now?" "Yeah." Yugyeom gave the older male a weird look. "You didn't know?" "No. Since when?" "Yeah, well it opened up a week or two ago. Not sure for the actual date, but I'm surprised you didn't know about it." "Yeah, me, too." Mark flopped onto the couch as Youngjae happened to walk by and greet him next. "Hey, Mark hyung. Where's Manager Seunghoon?"
"Hey Youngjae and he's in the bathroom." Youngjae let out a relieved breath. "Okay, good. Hyung still has to drop us off." Youngjae moved to knock on the door. "We're ready to leave when you're done." "I'm not ready yet!" Jinyoung called out from his room within Yugyeom and BamBam's room. "Wait for me." "Sorry, hyung! We're leaving now and we're going to speak better English than you!" Yugyeom teasingly mocked while sitting next to Mark who just smiled at the youngest member's antics. "Shut up, you brat!" Jinyoung yelled emerging into the living room, but didn't see their manager. "Where's Seunghoon hyung?" "Here." Their manager let out with a flat tone as he rubbed his face tiredly. "Don't you kids ever stop yelling?" "No." The four replied with mischievous faces.
"Whatever, let's go." Manager Seunghoon ordered as he walked past the quartet, but turned to look at Mark remembering something. "Oh, Mark, tell the other three not to be out too late, they know their curfew. Also, I'll be at the company if you need me once I drop off these three." "Yes, sir." Mark gave him the O.K. sign with a nod. Jinyoung was the last to leave, but turned around to say something to Mark before actually leaving. "Hyung, please tell Jaebeom hyung not to wear the bucket hat and his large glasses out to his group date. He'll be recognized instantly." "Alright, will do." Mark nodded in confirmation as he then spoke in English. "Have fun." "I will." Jinyoung replied in English with a wide smile before waving the older male a goodbye.
Once Mark shut the door and was on his way to relay the message to Jaebeom, he saw the male walked out of his shared bedroom with Youngjae and laughed upon seeing the male wearing a bucket hat and glasses. "What?" Jaebeom asked upon seeing the older male laughing. "Jinyoung said not tp wear the bucket hat and glasses to your group date." Jaebeom ditched the glasses and put on a face mask instead. "Better?" Mark shrugged. "It's your call." He returned to sitting on the couch with Jaebeom in tow. "You're not afraid you'll get find out by the fans?" Mark asked as he side-glanced the leader. "It hasn't been three years, y'know." Jaebeom shrugged indifferently. "It's just a get-together. Nothing serious. Besides, the guys at Kondae invited me out and I've been turning them down for the past two years and thought why not."
"Hmm, that I can agree to." Mark smiled, but then frown a bit as he looked at Jaebeom. "Just don't do anything reckless as you are the responsible leader that GOT7 and IGOT7s know." "Don't worry, hyung." Jaebeom patted the other male's thigh. "I just need a bit of 'normal' every now and then." Mark nodded as he remembered what their manager had told him. "Oh, Seunghoon hyung told me to remind you to not be out too late. You have a curfew still." "Noted. Thanks." Jaebeom smiled at the male. "So what are you going to do since Coco's with the coordi noona and everyone's out?" "I have homework, but that isn't due until Thursday." "How was it?" "The teacher outed me at the beginning of class." Mark let out a sigh as he shrugged indifferently. "But better sooner than later, I guess."
Jaebeom was now standing up to slip on his shoes. "Ah, so I'm assuming the other students probably wanted to be around you and couldn't stop talking about having an idol in the class, huh?" Jaebeom casually commented which triggered Mark's memory of one classmate who didn't act like so. "Well, there was one person. A female. Her Chinese name was Pǔ Zhōng Lǐ, but I dunno if that's her actual name." "Oh, it's a girl." Jaebeom cooed in a teasing manner as Mark rolled his eyes. "Like I was saying, she seemed chill and acted like I wasn't a celebrity at all. Kind of nice, but weird." "Maybe she did know who you were, but didn't want to appear too eager so that she can get close to you?" "Probably, JB. I do have to say it was nice talking to someone that wasn't another idol, family, or a friend and treated me like I was just a regular person."
"Don't we all want that though? Well, I gotta get going. I was supposed to meet the boys by the Han River." Jaebeom pulled a hoodie over him before looking at Mark with a concern look. "You sure you'll be all right by yourself, hyung?" "I'll be fine." Mark told him as he stood up and followed Jaebeom to the door. "Just don't bring home a stalker. Manager Seunghoon won't like that." Mark teased the younger male as Jaebeom slightly punched the older male in the shoulder. "Like I would let that happen. I am the leader and I won't tarnish that mindlessly. Anyways, I'll see you later. Bye hyung." "Bye, and have fun." The duo bid one another goodbye as Mark shut the door and turned around to look at the empty room with a contented sigh. "Forget homework. I'ma catch up on some sleep."

Melanie, Jasmine, and Jeannie neared the gates of Seoul National University to leave when an underclassman, Dayoon, called out to them. "Chaewon unnie! Minjae unnie! Jaehwa unnie!" The trio turned to face their younger friend. "What's up, Dayoon?" Jasmine asked the younger woman when she finally reached them. "Are you still going on that group date of yours with the guys from Kondae?" "Yeah." Melanie replied. "We're heading to meet the rest at Taegukgi." "Do you wanna come?" Jeannie asked as Dayoon frowned. "I wish. I have to meet up with my cousin as she said she had something really important to tell me." "Maybe another time." Jeannie patted the girl on the shoulder. "You won't miss much. The last two have been pretty meh lately." "Och, true." Melanie agreed as the quartet began walking again. "Seolbi keeps setting us up with them arrogant science and engineer majors."
"Highly true, but at least the guys you have 'afters' with want to hang out and not just look for naughty time." Jasmine remarked before making a disgusted look. "That's all I get." "Didn't Seolbi say that this should be the best group date yet?" Jeannie asked trying to remember. "She mentioned that these Konkuk guys are better than the last two." "Well, they better be, or I'm leaving." Melanie grinned as the other older women rolled their eyes playfully. "Speaking of leaving," Dayoon spoke up while looking at the time on her phone, "I really need to get going or my cousin's going to be so upset with me for being late." "Oh, go on ahead then." Jasmine responded as she shooed the younger woman away. "Take care."
Dayoon bid them goodbye before heading in the opposite direction giving the trio their moment to talk in English. "If she knew she had to talk with her cousin, then why did she keep on talking with us?" Jeannie commented as Jasmine cast her younger twin a look. "Because she doesn't have anyone else to hang out with and so she hangs out with us." "Have you guys met her cousin yet?" Melanie as the twin sisters shook their heads. "Me either." Melanie remarked. "Dayoon always mentions that she attends Seouldae, too, but doesn't say who she is or bring her around. I wonder if she's lying." "Doesn't matter to me." Jasmine stated. "As long as she doesn't cause any trouble, then we good." "You're the one that likes to cause trouble, Jasmine." Jeannie eyed her sister. "Remember last semester with you getting drunk and cutting your chin because you tripped over the train tracks?"
"I wasn't drunk I was tipsy and I don't remember how I got to the tracks, Jeannie." Jasmine clarified as Jeannie rolled her eyes. "Exactly." "Anyways, girls," Melanie interrupted their sibling squabble while reading the message that their friend sent in the group chat. "Seolbi changed the meet-up spot and time. She wants us all to meet at a karaoke joint in Sinsa instead at seven." "That's in like three hours. Why?" Jasmine asked as she looked at her own mobile device to check the group chat. "She didn't say." Jeannie said as she skimmed the messages before putting her phone away. "Hey, let's just get ready at Serena's place until it's time. She lives like less than fiften minutes away from Sinsa." "True. Let's go back to the dorms and grab our stuff before heading over there. She'll be home late." Melanie explained as the trio made their way towards their dorm instead.
~~~~~~~
Serena arrived early to her next class as she had misread the initial time. She was greeted by a room that looked more like a kindergarten class instead of a college class for Beginner's English I. Serena smiled at the scene before her as she felt it would be a fun environment to learn and interact. Too busy admiring the place, Serena didn't hear the younger woman calling out to her using her English name. "Hey, Serena." Serena snapped out of her thoughts and faced her friend who she was a teacher's aide for. "Ah, hey, Ana. Sorry about that. I was just checking out the setup you did. Not bad." "Haha, thanks, girl." Ana chuckled as she handed Serena a piece of paper. "Thanks for being my aid this semester. I'm used to teaching younger kids, so this is my first course teaching adults. Your help is greatly appreciated."
"You're welcome." Serena smiled while taking the piece of paper. "Besides, Ana, I still owe it all to my aunt Julisa for everything." "Oh that's right. The same aunt that got you, Melanie, Jeannie, and Jasmine to go to school for free with her amazing connections or something like that." "Haha, yeah something like, just our own expenses for fun and what not. Anyways," Serena looked at the piece of paper seeing a short list of names, "Are these your students?" "Yes it is." Ana smiled before grinning even wider. "Let me see if you find anything interesting." Serena shot the woman a weird look before reading the names, but played indifference while looking at her friend. "Well Ana, seeing Kim Yugyeom, Park Jinyoung, and Choi Youngjae on your students' roster doesn't mean it's the members of GOT7."
Ana's eyes twinkled as her smile grew wider. "Well, that's something as a teacher you wouldn't know as they inform us about such things before class begins." Serena scoffed at the idea. "No way we're this lucky to get to teach idols, Ana." "We are, Serena. Like, I see a lot of them when going out to those fansigns, fanmeets, and other events with the other English teachers, but this is the first time to actually meet under these circumstances." Serena knew her friend wanted to squeal in excitement, but was trying to keep her cool. "OKOK." Serena relented as she handed the paper back to Ana. "Let's remain cool and not freaked them out. I don't wanna get kicked out and lose face for my aunt." "Yeah, yeah, I know. I can't lose my job either. But thanks again for accepting to be my aide." "You're welcome. Now, what do I do as an aide?"
~~~~~~~
When Jeannie, Jasmine, and Melanie arrived at Serena's apartment complex an hour or so later, they relaxed in the living room of the large apartment. "So why is Serena getting out late again?" Jasmine asked while moisturizing her face as she sat on the floor. "She has a late class today. I messaged her." Jeannie commented while looking for something to watch on the screen TV before clicking on the Netflix icon. "She's an English teacher's aide." "Yeah, she's with our friend, Ana." Melanie confirmed after returning from the kitchen with a large bowl of popcorn. "Dude, Serena stocked up on more snacks and drinks." "Did she buy any of those banana milk?" Jasmine asked after she was done moisturizing her face and moved on to applying her makeup. "I think so. I only grabbed the popcorn." Melanie settled next to Jeannie on the couch and placed the bowl onto the coffee table.
"She hasn't organize any of it. They're all stacked and piled near the pantry." Melanie checked her phone when she saw the light flashed indicating she received a message. "Hey, Seolbi said to meet at six-thirty instead." "Well, have fun because I'm not going." Jasmine said while putting on lip-gloss and looking at a compact mirror. "I'm meeting up with Ahri at this new club in Itaewon. She says it's Ladies' Night tonight, and we'll be getting in for free along with half off drinks." "On a Tuesday?" Melanie made a face as Jeannie sang a line from ILOVEMAKONNEN featuring Drake's Tuesday. "Going up on a Tuesday~" She grinned before cliking on Lie To Me. "That's all I know." She faced Melanie. "Yeah, tell the girls I'm not going either." "What? Why not?"
"Not in the mood, plus I have a lot of homework already for the first day. It sucks." Jeannie explained as Melanie made a face while replying back to the group chat. "That means I have to go alone." Melanie checked her phone to see what the others said still making a sour face. "Boo, you guys." "Hey, Melanie, don't forget that you'll be with Dasol and Haeryong, too." Jasmine assured her friend. "They usually make everything fun, especially Haeryong does when you get her to drink enough." "Ugh, don't remind me, Jasmine." Jeannie groaned at the last memory. "She kisses everything and anyone in sight." She shivered at the thought. "I still can't drink lemon soju to this day." "Oh haha, that's right. Ah, that was funny."
Melanie laughed as she popped a few kernels into her mouth. "Anyways, they said it's fine. Another time. Seolbi said two others girls she's friends with wanted to join and so she invited them in your guys' place." She looked at the twins. "So you guys are good and I need to get ready though." "You know you don't have to go, Melanie." Jeannie reminded her friend as Melanie shrugged indifferently. "I know, but I want a boyfriend remember although it's not the biggest priority, but I gotta do something with my love life. And going to these group dates is going to help with that because for some reason I still can't find a man." "Psh, you'll find one, Melanie." Jasmine scoffed. "Just go with the flow." "I know, Jasmine, I know."
Melanie stood up and stretched her limbs. "Well, I need to stop being picky about the guys I wanna date from what Serena has told me." "Yeah, right. Serena doesn't even know what she likes." Jeannie laughed chewing on some popcorn. "She runs away whenever we bring up her K-Pop biases." "She's funny though." Jasmine laughed once she was done with her makeup. "Anyways, I'll be home late or I'll crash over at Ahri's." "Okay." The others replied as Jasmine headed towards the bathroom. "Dasol and Haeryong should be by soon so we can go together." Melanie said as she walked to her room she had at her sister's place leaving Jeannie in the living room as she faced the television screen while letting out a sigh. "Don't wanna do homework." Her eyes casually shifted onto the coffee table where Jeannie saw a bright flyer about the new apartment complex's amenities. "Hmm, a gym?"
~~~~~~~
"Serena." Ana called out to Serena who looked up at her friend after arranging all the desk in to two groups of six as there would be twelve students for the class. "Yeah?" "I need to run down to the library and make more copies. I'll be back." "Okay, but what do I do if the students arrive before you're back?" "Just greet them and tell them I'll be back to start the lesson. Just get them to sign the sign-in sheet and you can explain the syllabus to them." "Alright. Hurry back fast, Ana. I'm not a teacher." "Yes you are, Serena. Be back soon." "Alright, Ana, whatever you say. Later." Serena watched her friend leave as she went back to doing what she was doing. "I'm so glad this is my only teaching job. I'm not accepting anymore after this."
The female finished with the tables before organizing the posters and stands out of boredom when she heard her phone go off signaling that she received a message. "Ah, yeah, I need to silent that again." She made her way to her things, pulled her phone to check the message seeing that it was from Jeannie, Serena then replied back, put it on silent and away just as she heard the door open. Serena looked up and saw two young men walk in. "Hello and welcome." She greeted in English as the male duo smiled back slowly. "Hello." Serena switched to Korean. "You can take a seat at any of the two tables. I'm the teacher's aide and the actual teacher will be back shortly." The duo nodded their head as they sat together at the table. Serena let out a silent breath as she smiled to herself. "Okay that wasn't so bad. Alright, two down and ten more to go."
~~~~~~~
Jeannie went down to the gym several minutes after Jasmine and Melanie had left. She didn't want to work on her homework and thought to pass time with this activity. Despite the gym being a new facility, it wasn't as occupied as she thought it would be. "Okay, less people to run into." Jeannie smiled and slowly headed to the treadmill first. She slipped on her earbuds while adjusting the machine to her own preference. Once that was settled, Jeannie began to move steadily and she briefly glanced up and made eye-contact with a male across from her. It was GOT7's Jackson, but it didn't register in her head on who he was. She quickly averted her gaze away from the male and to the small TV that was hanging above instead.
Half an hour had passed as Jeannie was about to end her session on the treadmill to move onto another machine when she felt an unexpected tap on her shoulder. Curiously turning to her right to see who it was that wanted her attention, she noticed it was the male she had caught eyes with from earlier. Upon closer inspection Jeannie recognized the male and misstep on the treadmill which led her to slip and face-plant onto the machine. It quickly sent her back and off of the machine a few seconds later. Jackson' eyes went wide and he hurriedly got off of his treadmill to tend to Jeannie who was already standing back up while rubbing the sore spots from the fall with a sore face.
"Hey, are you okay?" He asked as Jeannie's earbuds had yanked out upon her fall which was how she was able to hear him, but it took her a few seconds to actually pay him any attention. "Um, yeah, yeah. I'm, I'm fine." She answered absentmindedly still rubbing her left elbow. "Just fine." Jeannie then looked at the male and shot him a small smile. "Thanks." She moved around him as her earbuds dangled on her shoulders while leaving the facility and back to Serena's place to make sure she wasn't in serious pain. Jackson was left speechless at her behavior, but he followed after her to make sure she was okay with BamBam who was with him also tagged along who was still laughing at the incident that just occurred a while ago.
The male idol ran ahead of the woman who he had technically caused her accident and stopped before her. Jeannie cast him a confused look. "Sorry, but um, are you sure you don't need to go see a doctor or something like that?" Jackson asked in concern while Jeannie brushed him off casually. "No, it's okay. Really. I just need to go up to my place and I'll be fine. Thanks though." She cast him a reassuring smile as she walked around him and towards the elevators. Jackson just watched her walked off with BamBam coming up and placing an arm on his shoulder. "Maybe she's not a fan?" He reasoned with a shrug as Jackson eyed him. "No, she's a fan. She was wearing our 'Come & Get It' t-shirt."
"I didn't see that." BamBam looked at his fellow member in confusion as Jackson smirked knowingly. "Because it was in the front, BamBam. Anyways, let's go." Jackson ordered as he headed towards the elevators with BamBam in tow. Jeannie entered the elevators and was about to instantly close it when two more bodies entered quickly. Jeannie just cast them a smile while asking them which floor. "Fifth." Both idols stated as Jeannie pressed the button for the same floor as hers. "You also lived on the fifth floor?" She asked them as they nodded their head. "You, too?" BamBam asked as Jeannie nodded her head slowly while Jackson sidled up to her to whisper, "Are you a stalker", and Jeannie just shot him a weird look. "Um, no."

At Arm's Length
After the rush of bouquet orders for Valentine’s Day and Valentine’s apologies, it was finally time for a few days off. As much as Owen usually loved the flowers, the atmosphere of stress which settled in the shop during occasions such as Valentine’s was one which succeeded in warping the beauty them. Time away was exactly what he needed to clear his head and renew his outlook.
On this particular day, Owen ventured out for a rare hike. During this dangerous chill, even the most passionate of hikers were not out, providing him with the perfect conditions. It was a fairly long drive to get there, but worth it for the promise that he would be alone and free to let his hair down. Once he was high enough up the mountain trail, Owen turned off the set path and wandered until there was hardly even the lingering scent of humans. There, he stripped, folded his clothes together nicely and stuffed them in his backpack, hanged the backpack up in a tree to keep it out of reach, and shifted for the first time in two months.
Thick fur covered his body and stopped him mid-shiver. His bushy tail almost touched the snow as his paws sank into it, but even the cold, now, was welcome. He set off at a leisurely trot to get his blood pumping. Before he knew it, he was already racing through the snow, leaping and bounding, thrilled to be out in the open and unafraid. Everything felt right again. Then he saw him; a familiar face, one from his home.
As soon as they made eye contact, Owen turned tail and ran. Eager to leave right that instant, he allowed himself to crash into the tree holding his backpack. Biting back a yelp at the sting of the impact, he shifted quickly and pulled on his clothes like his life depended on it. He was in the parking lot and halfway to his car when someone out of breath shouted, “Owen! Wait!”
Damn it all. Against his wish to get away, Owen slowed and turned around, pretending to be surprised to hear his name. He had been right. The man running up to him, still struggling to pull his pants up all the way, was his former underclassman, Langston.
“Owen!” he breathed between gasps. “I knew it was you.” Still struggling for air, he motioned with his arms that Owen’s size was the tip-off. “Still the biggest wolf I know.”
Time to act flattered.
“Come on. You’re just saying that. Anyway, it was nice seeing-” Failed attempt number two.
Langston stayed to the side, one step behind Owen. “I haven’t seen you in forever! Wren married Fig! Wait, you know that. You sent them that cool dehydrator thing. We all hoped you’d be able to make it, though. But I bet you’ve got a million things going on. Probably still a lot of prospective mates, huh? Haven’t chosen one yet. You haven’t right? I didn’t miss it, did I? Mom didn’t mention anything. Oh, man, if she missed it, she’ll never stop talking about it and I know she’ll find a way to blame m-”
“/Langston/.” Owen’s voice boomed, echoing in the parking lot. This was not his intention, as he generally disliked when this part of him showed itself without his wanting it, but in this moment he was actually grateful. Langston snapped his mouth shut and stood at attention. “I have no mate. No one has missed anything. I am busy and will be going back now.”
He was at his car and about to open the door when Langston called out from the spot he dare not leave until Owen was gone, “Want me to pass a message for you? To your dad? Your mom?”
Had Owen not exercised his other side enough, he was certain claws would have unsheathed themselves now. “Tell them I’m doing /just fine/.”
Just fine. Those were the last words he heard from his mother, words thrown at him in malicious sarcasm after he declared he would be moving away from the pack, that he would no longer live as she wanted him to live. “Go ahead. I’m sure you’ll survive /just fine/,” she said. That was already six years ago now and Owen had not shared a room with his mother since. He had no desire to, even at his own expense. Missing important pack events hurt, but if he bent even a little, his mother would take it as a sign of weakness and she would devote her time to breaking him.
Back home in his apartment, Owen took a long shower to wash away the tension left behind from his interaction with Langston. Under the showerhead, he made plans for the rest of the night. He would have food delivered, find something to watch on some streaming service, and not move from his couch unless it was to answer the door for other food deliveries. His plans were immediately derailed when he stepped out of the bathroom and heard his phone ring, vibrating across the bathroom counter.
Wary, he let it ring a while longer, testing to see if it was a real call before picking it up to read the name of the caller.
“Cal!” he answered, suddenly much more cheerful than he had been in a while. “Hi. How are you? How’s the baby?”
On the other side of the call, Cal laughed. “Growing well. I actually have a bump now.”
“That’s fantastic.” Drying himself off, Owen crossed from the bathroom to his bedroom to find some clothes to lounge in.
“Yeah. Listen, Owen, something unbelievable just happened and,” Cal sniffed, “I don’t think I’ll really believe it’s real until I tell somebody else.”
His friend’s tone was not enough to tell whether this was good news or bad. “Go on.”
“They found her. I don’t know what possessed me, but I asked them to check the missing persons database again and this time /they found her/.”
Shocked, Owen dropped the pants in his hand. “You mean-”
“My sister’s baby! My niece! Owen, she’s in New York! She’s near you!”
Owen could hear the happy tears in Cal’s voice and he sat back on his bed. The child was not related to him in any way, but he had known Cal long enough to feel the pain it caused her having no idea where her niece was, if she was even still alive.
“That’s incredible.”
“I know. Apparently she’s in foster care right now. I don’t know all the details yet, but Cy and I contacted the agency and everything and we’ll be coming up soon to bring her home once everything is sorted out. It honestly feels like a dream come true.”
“I wonder if I’ve ever passed her before and not realized it.”
“I was thinking that, too!”
Cal’s excitement raised her volume tenfold and Owen had to jerk his head away from the phone to preserve his hearing.
“Call me when you guys get out here and we’ll meet for lunch or something, okay?”
“Obviously! I’m so excited, I don’t know what to do with myself. Okay. I’ll stop now.” She squealed one last time. “Have a good night, Owen!”
“Yup. You, too.”
This is some form of irony, right? he thought to himself as he stood and pulled his pants on. While Cal’s family is finally within reach, I’m trying to keep mine at arm’s length.

not every closet story has a sad ending - or, zimbits huddling for warmth
In retrospect, this was probably Shitty’s fault.
Jack thought it was odd, sending Bittle on a jock run as a sophomore. Ransom and Holster had moved onto hazing the new frogs as soon as they'd moved onto campus, but Bitty would always be Shitty’s favorite underclassman, Jack supposed. Still, he felt uneasy about Bittle going off on these silly errands by himself; what if he thought they were targeting him?
So Jack volunteered to join Bittle on this “totally necessary jockstrap quest, brah.” If Shitty thought anything of Jack knowingly subjecting himself to hazing, he said nothing, waving cheerfully as they left the Haus.
But now here they were, locked in the Faber supply closet, one dead phone and no heat.
“I swear it was half charged when we left,” Bittle huffed, wrapping his arms around himself anxiously. “I don’t understand…”
“Maybe if you didn’t tweet so much,” Jack said. He’d meant it as a chirp, but they’d been stuck in this closet for an hour and he was tired and maybe feeling a little harsh towards Bittle.
“At least I have my phone,” Bittle muttered, sliding down to sit with his knees pulled to his chest. He was shaking, and Jack had to admit it had gotten colder as the night grew deeper. It really was getting late.
Jack had once played an intense game of frisbee in the snow in nothing more than jeans and a t-shirt. It had been dumb and he’d come away from it with a mild cold, but Jack had been so used to the -25°chill of winter that the snows of early spring had felt almost warm to him. Even now, he more acknowledged the cold than actually felt it. But Bittle- Bittle lived for summers, for sun and humidity and catnaps in the warmth. Even now, wrapped in a thick cardigan and his favorite, brown peacoat, Bittle shivered, his body yearning for the heat of home.
“Shitty’ll come looking for us eventually,” Jack said, sliding down next to Bitty and holding out his arm as an olive branch. Bittle eyed him for a moment, a bit suspicious, then scooted closer and let Jack pulled him to his side.
With a quiet huff of a sigh, Bittle melted against Jack’s chest, the chill of his nose poking through the fabric of Jack’s shirt. Without thinking, Jack unzipped his Jacket and pulled Bittle even closer, letting him soak up all of the warmth he knew he radiated.
(“Fucking hell, Zimms,” Kenny had once said, as the two of them sat side-by-side in a chilly room, watching tape. “You’re like a fucking space heater. Shit, you’re warm.”
Jack tried not to think of that moment now. Not when it was tinged with bitterness and anger, and Bittle was so close and smelled so nice.)
A year ago, Jack never would’ve expected to spend an evening with Bittle tucked against him like this, arms tentatively wrapping around Jack’s middle like vines reaching out for sunlight. Even a few months ago, Jack would not have guessed the feelings that were welling in his throat as the crown of Bittle’s head tucked up under his chin, the odd mixture of intense warmth and the scent of dandruff and sweat and shampoo radiating upwards. Though small in Jack’s arms, Bittle was a coiled spring of power and energy, almost trembling with it even as he relaxed against Jack. It made Jack want to unwind him bit by bit, release that pent up energy into the universe until the two of them were nothing more than heat mingling in the same space.
This revelation, though unnerving, did not push Jack into some sort of confession, nor did it compel him to move away. Instead, he let himself close him eyes and loosen his muscles, until all he felt was the frenetic existence of Bittle’s body and the pull of gravity.
“Thank you,” Bittle murmured, voice thick and slow with sleep. “M’sorry I got us locked in here.”
“You didn’t,” Jack said softly. “Go to sleep. I’ll wake you when Shitty comes.”
Bittle smiled up at him, eyes half-closed and soft, and fell back against Jack against. It wasn’t until he was asleep that he finally seemed to relax, body and mind stilling in the quiet of rest.
Jack pressed a soft, chaste kiss to Bittle’s head, and let himself drift off as well. It would be another hour before Shitty and Lardo would come by and unlock the storage closet, sighing in relief to find their friends in one piece. (And exchanging curious, knowing looks in the seconds before the boys would stir, still wrapped in each other’s arms.)

How would a camping trip go with the team?? (LMAO I have a feeling this might be disastrous)
Sen: Time to bring in the rest of the OCs of the blog. Yes the tags of this post is a mess but on team adventures, I just love bringing in everyone that you guys have submitted
- Shirabu wants to go home the minute they get on the coach. He’s sitting next to Kawahara who just won’t stop talking and he wants his suffering to end. It won’t be any better with anyone else because you can hear Yamagata in the back snoring and Akakura and Goshiki screaming as they play on their nintendos, which you don’t really need when you’re out in the woods.
- The place where they’re camping isn’t much of a campsite but like more of an outdoor adventure place or whatever you call it. Shirane’s absolutely terrified of bugs but he chokes on bug spray and he’s pretty sure that Kawanishi will say he’s allergic to it; either really or just hates the smell but whatever. Tendou has already made himself one with the earth. He’s just lying down on the grass staring up at the clouds already.
- There’s the option for some people to camp outside but only the third years actually want to do so. The first and second years are busy complaining about how they want a campfire so Mirai ends up dragging Tamiko and Semi to help get started on it. There are teachers around but they’ve suddenly disappeared…
- Sagae is busy convincing everyone that the teachers have left them here in the woods to die and Yamagata is fully in on the joke, telling his underclassman that the two of them could probably disappear into the woods together to freak everyone out until they realise it’s actually too mean of a joke.
- Soekawa and Reon are chilled out on a bench somewhere reading, leaving the rest of the third years to deal with their screaming children. They end up gathering Genji, Akakura and Kawanishi by their little calm site but you can still hear all the yelling from somewhere far. But not too far; never leave your child unattended. or children for that matter.
- Ushijima somehow has made friends with a little bird but he’s wandered off somewhere far off. Nobody’s particularly worried because they think their captain can handle himself but the minute someone tells Reon, he’s leaping out of his place to go find his friend. When they were little, he remembered that Ushijima once tried to adopt every single animal he found on the way and he’s sure Ushijima’s going to try once again.
- Goshiki and the rest of the first years end up with Tendou watching the clouds roll by. They all lie down and watch the light filtering through the trees as Tendou imparts his knowledge as a third year upon them. Only when Mirai walks past does she tell the kids that he’s speaking absolute bullshit and the third floor girls bathroom isn’t haunted by a ghost. Why would Satori know? Has he been in?
- Shirabu’s been moping about the whole time. Staying indoors in one of their assigned cabins with Semi. Semi’s completely silent the whole time but all you can hear is Shirabu grumbling as he knows he can’t get service in the woods. This boy even brought his homework with him. Every time someone walks in and sees him, they shake their head in disgust at him. Come on!! Take a break!
- At night, they would’ve been trying to sing songs around the campfire but it ends up with ghost stories. They’re all pretty bad at telling ghost stories. So bad that every time one is completely terrible, someone gets pushed off of their log as punishment. Good bye Kawanishi. Hello forest floor.
- They all end up staying late enough to see the stars through the canopy of trees. A few of them haven’t seen that many stars in their lives before so there’s a ton of gasps of awe as they realise how pretty the night sky is. There’s also a lot of complaints about how none of them can capture the blanket of the night on their shitty phone cameras, but the experience is memorable enough.
