i woke up from halfway sleeping to post this bit i think it would be objectively hilarious if someone were to write an entire like 50k word long fic about the MK 1 characters interacting except the kombat mode is canon and every character either suffers from absolutely debilitating injuries every time they fight (OR, the much more funny version of things) the characters are just 100% fine after wvery single battle even if there was a brutality or fatality involved. like. can you imagine just hearing kenshi or some shit say "oh yeah, Johnny really got a one up on me when he tore my head clean in half during our spar, but i ultimately won in the end when he accidentally did the splits too far away from me and missed his hit." BRO I WOULD DIEEE THAT SHIT IS SO FUNNY TO ME
