My Biography with BTS: V edition
The third installation after J-HOPE and SUGA is the beloved V with his unique personality. We had V speak about his everything from his childhood memories to his future aspirations.
Grandma’s little boy from childhood, bright and full of curiosity.
I was born in Daegu like SUGA-hyung, spending a few years living in a place called Gochang too. I’ve been a very bright child ever since kindergarten, and all the teachers loved me! Whenever I found something pretty, I’d bring it to them and they’d praise me like “Wow! Well done!” which made me happy. I also have a fond memory of sharing these green candies that were popular at the time with my friend in the same giraffe class as me.
I have lots of memories with my grandma in my childhood. My grandmother would send me to and from kindergarten, so at the end of every day I would wait eagerly for her to come. She would always buy yuzu tea for me at a vending machine, and we really had a lot of fun…
When I was a primary school student, I was overflowing with curiosity and wanted to try everything. I wanted to sleepover at my friend’s house, I wanted to go to the training camp for taekwondo, which I was learning. There were many students that came from my kindergarten, so I had many friends. I’d play at the park with my friends every day until the sun set.
But I wasn’t only playing! I attended coaching school too. (laughs) I went from 6th grade to the 3rd year of middle school. Because I lived in the countryside, I could only imagine a future working in agriculture, so I believed I had to study properly. However, that all changed when I got into music. I don’t remember when it started, but I begged for an MP3 so I could download all kinds of music and listen to it. Then, around the end of 6th grade, I started to dream of becoming a singer. That was the first time I had a clear dream for myself.
Learning saxophone and dance to aim for the artist dream!
I started to act towards my dream in the 1st year of middle school. My father asked me “What do you want to be in the future” and I answered “A singer.” My father used to dream of becoming an actor, so when he heard that he said to me very seriously, “If you want to become a singer, you have to learn an instrument.” And so I learned the saxophone for around three years. It looked cool, but it hurt my lips and was heavy to hold. But still, I believed I had to learn an instrument to become a singer so I kept at it. Because I practiced my hardest, I even won a gold medal at a South Gyeongsang Province competition!
In middle school, I was part of a club called the broadcast dance club, where people who liked dancing gathered to dance to K-POP songs. With saxophone, dance, and coaching school, I was pretty busy.
In my free time, I looked forward to playing basketball with my friends. I wasn’t any good, but my friend was a huge basketball fan, so I was influenced by them into playing all the time.
The reason why I quit saxophone was because I wanted to put more of my effort into dancing. Wouldn’t it be lame if I became a singer that couldn’t dance? I wanted to learn properly, so once I became a high school student I joined a dance class. Then, half a year later, there was a private BigHit audition. My friend was going to audition, and I had some free time so I tagged along. For the audition, I had to dance, rap, then show off an imitation and one-line gag. I was sure I failed. Then the notice that I passed came. I thought it was a lie. I was the only one who passed in Daegu.
A trainee era filled with memories with the members.
I came to Seoul in September of my 1st year of high school and started living in the dorm while attending an arts high school there. I joined after JUNGKOOK, SUGA-hyung, J-HOPE-hyung, and RM-hyung. I don’t get shy at all, so I was able to become friends with everyone quickly. I was happy simply becoming a trainee and had fun every day. That being said, I practiced lots and didn’t have a life of a normal high school student, but we managed to make our own memories of the dorm and practice room. What I remember even now is how the seven of us went to the amusement park on the 1st of January. We all tried to dress up fashionably for the occasion, which ended up with everyone wearing black. We really stood out. (laughs)
By the way, my fashion was always coordinated with the clothes my grandma bought me. My grandma had always had great sense in picking clothes.
Even after our debut was decided, my existence was hidden until the last minute as a secret weapon. Because of that, I couldn’t tell anyone I was going to debut, which left some painful memories too. All the other members had schedules, but I was left alone at the dorm… That’s why when it was finally announced, I thought “My dream from 6th grade has come true!” and was really happy.
BTS is the first and last team of my life. I want to climb upwards with the members until the end. Once we climb to the top, I want to look back and think “This is how hard we’ve worked until now.” If given the chance, I think I’d want to try acting too, but doing anything half-heartedly is bad, so I’ll have to studying acting properly until I’m satisfied with myself.

Bonjour et bienvenue!
Paris welcomes you, our Silver Tongue, Theodore Mercier! May we say, you’re the spitting image of Jake Gyllenhaal! Please make your presence known within 24 hours, and do have a look at our checklist before setting out into the city on your own.
                                                                                 À bientôt!
MUN
Name/Alias: Stella
Preferred Pronouns: She/Her
Age: 20
Timezone: I’m in CST. I’m online throughout the day, but usually do replies either early in the morning ( around 6 - 8 AM ) or night time ( 5 - 9 PM )
MUSE
Chosen Skeleton: The Silver Tongue
Muse Name: Theodore “Theo” Mercier
Muse Age: 36 years old
Chosen FC: jake gyllenhaal
Muse Occupation: lawyer
Muse Affiliation & Frequent Haunts: Choosing a stomping ground is a liberty that Theo can’t yet afford. While his still-young heart sings for the blasé Montparnasse, his business has always been rooted in Montmarte. Despite knowing that the divide between both sides of the river is trivial and superficial, Theo finds himself spending his longest hours at Montmarte, working his fingers to the bone and losing what little sleep he has time for. Montparnasse is reserved for vacations and holidays, where he drowns himself in the luxury and liminality of its culture, licking his wounds and reminding himself what joie de vivre feels like.
Direct from Le Petit Journal: It boggles the mind that such a beautiful face could be wasted on a person as miserable as Theodore Mercier. As charming as he might be in his courtroom attire, his relentless bloviating on ethics and politic is enough to put even the most dedicated jury to sleep.
BIOGRAPHY
Theo was seven years old when his father took him to see Giradoux’s Mort de Quelqu’un. It was an early foray into Unanimism, but more importantly, it was the first ( and perhaps most critical ) exposure to performing arts ( or rather, the art of performing ). There’s a balance of charisma, deception, and focus in execution of the craft that inspires Theo. Theo’s dad told him that all the best orators were also the best performers, that speaking confidently was just down the street from becoming a character. There was a certain Romance to it that captivated Theo, and captivation soon turned to imitation.
Practicing law is choosing to sentence oneself to a lifetime of being the least likable person in any given room. Being a defense attorney for Paris’s most wanted, then, is as close to a social death sentence as one can get. There’s a component of fun in it– there’s no denying as much. In the moments where Theo hits his stride, he is no longer a simple civil servant: he is the performer of a great cosmic choreography. Points of an argument are movements in a great symphony of theory, strung together by Theo’s uncanny ability to make it make sense. He’s good at what he does. He knows this. He knows that he knows it. He knows that clients roll in, payments roll out, and he goes to bed each night richer than he was when he woke up that morning.
It’s not about being liked– it’s never been about being liked. If it had been, Theo likely would not have survived more than five months in his line of work. His mode d’être is only tangential to his line of work. He is orator before a lawyer, after all. It isn’t his job to speak the law, it’s his job to speak. The fact that it has led him to such a lucrative lifestyle? Well, it’d certainly be a sin to look a gift horse in the mouth, wouldn’t it? There are times, though, between the uncorking of a bottle and the pouring of a glass, where Theo wonders if his wealth will ever afford him the ineffable: closure, fulfillment, purpose: raison d’être.
His personality is all smoke and mirrors: Theo becomes the person that the room demands. In courtrooms, he speaks volumes of philosophy and ethics. At dinners, he falls into a sea of soft-spoken voices and occasional laughter. Art galleries turn him into a critic, dissecting works from movements he knows little more than the name of. Theodore Mercier is a thinly stretched canvas, moving constantly from frame to frame, becoming and unbecoming in the blink of an eye.
POTENTIAL PLOTS/CONNECTIONS
• all I want in the world is for theo to be punched in the face, and hard. he’s a snake and a mosquito, the kind of parasite that feeds on others’ desires and desperation to become exactly what they want, even if it isn’t at all what they need.
• i’m very much entertained by the idea of theo falling under the tide of a chaotic era. he’s a stone being worn down and slowly moved by the beating current of an era. to explore his recognition that his identity is ephemeral, that perhaps there’s something still genuine in him being awoken by such an earnest era? i’d love to explore that.
• further, sexuality and romance is always an interesting wave to ride. i think that part of his identity crisis ( and part of his greed ) would certainly lapse into sexual identity. there’s a lot to unpack here: not only do i think he’s spent most of his life depriving himself of a long-term romantic relationship because he’s terrible, but i also think that a more laissez-faire culture might be encouraging him to take a personal risk, for once.
• of course he’d be connected to the art scenes ( he couldn’t not be ) and be fairly familiar with the best and worst that paris has to offer, and there’s a lot of good stuff there that i think could be hashed out individually with each writer! he’s a man of culture, but he’s a man of thecertain culture of the upper class. he’s slippery. let’s watch that bite him in the ass.

STATS.
name: up to player age: twenty-two – twenty-eight role: the forger fc: maria pedraze, grant gustin, mina el hammani, joe keery.
AESTHETIC.
blacks. splotches and spots of ink on your skin. nights spent up into the early morning. framed artwork. purple-bruised eyes. yesterday’s clothes, wrinkled today. expensive pens. a college degree. golds. watercolor paints. a soft heart. thick parchment. exceptional. slim fingers. loyalty. forest green. tired smiles. no remorse. skill with a pencil and brush.
BACKGROUND.
the earliest photos of you show you with pencils in hand, head ducked over a piece of paper. they weren’t good, not then, but by the time you were nearly ten, you were being heralded a prodigy. the praise was never what you were after, though. instead, you just liked seeing what you create. what was most remarkable, though, was this: you had a talent for recreations. you could see a masterpiece once and make a copy nearly indistinguishable, if not for its age. this caught you attention, and then it brought you notoriety. you made bills, you made works of art. you see no harm in it. you’re only using your god given talents.
CONNECTIONS.
the distraction — if there’s one thing you’re not, it’s humble. you’re well aware of your talents, and make no effort to conceal that. they’re aware of their own talents too, although where you imitate beauty, they possess it, radiate it and use it as a weapon of their own. you’re jealous of that but you try to hide it. it comes out in sharp words, in barbed compliments. you know the two of you are alike, but a part wishes you were more so. envy isn’t a pretty look, especially not on you.
the medic + the getaway driver — you admire them both. they both have talents, both different than yours undeniably, but you can appreciate skill no matter the form. it’s amazing, and you can’t help but consider them their own artworks. you want to watch them do what they do best, but they don’t seem to care for you at all. you don’t get it. you compliment and compare them to other greats, yourself included, and they just don’t respond. they walk away when you approach, conversation stalls if you get too near. you catch glimpse of annoyed glances, you hear their sneers, but the fact stands that you didn’t do anything to them. at least, nothing you can think of.
the hacker – their attitude gets under your skin. you don’t care that they’re tired or bitter. they just need to sit back, do their job, and stop complaining about it. you’ve said this to their face without flinching before. you’ve said it more than once, too. you compare them to yourself in your annoyed tirades. you say how your fingers hurt when doing minute details on paintings or dollar bills, you’ve explained the knicks and cuts on your fingers -- but the difference between the pair of you is that you don’t constantly make a big deal of it. you don’t complain to everyone in hearing distance. the day someone duct tapes their mouth shut can’t come sooner.

Every Batman fan has dreamed of becoming the Dark Knight—putting on the cowl, firing up the Batmobile and heading out to take on the Joker. However, we’d imagine that very few of them have dreamed about being Bruce Wayne as a child. While having your own Batcave and hanging with the Justice League would be fun, the important tragedy it took for Bruce Wayne to get there is often overlooked.
That’s not the case in this fall’s new Batman miniseries, BATMAN: CREATURE OF THE NIGHT, in which a young Batman fan faces a childhood that suddenly becomes unbearably similar to his hero’s. Written by Kurt Busiek (ASTRO CITY), drawn by John Paul Leon (MOTHER PANIC) and set outside of regular continuity, Creature of the Night is a four-issue, prestige format limited series set in Boston in 1968. Bruce Wainwright is a comic book-reading kid whose obsession with the Caped Crusader leads him to some very dark places which he must ultimately confront when his parents are murdered after walking in on a robbery. It’s a story about loss and confronting your inner demons in the face of that loss that takes a turn towards the unusual when a familiar-looking crimefighter begins to appear on the city streets.
If this is sounding at all similar to Busiek’s classic Superman tale, SUPERMAN: SECRET IDENTITY, that’s no coincidence. Billed as a spiritual companion to that 2004 limited series, it also offers a real-world analog to a well-known comic book legend. But the similarities stop there and fans can expect plenty of surprises when Batman: Creature of the Night emerges in November.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
Look for the first issue of this distinctly different Batman comic in stores on November 29, 2017. The full solicit can be found below…
BATMAN: CREATURE OF THE NIGHT #1
Written by KURT BUSIEK Art and cover by JOHN PAUL LEON
Young Bruce Wainwright lost his parents in a violent crime…and in the real world, no superheroes exist to save the day. But as grief and rage builds inside Bruce until he feels he can’t keep it inside anymore, something strange starts taking wing in the Gotham night! Perhaps Bruce’s grief isn’t inside him after all?
Modern masters Kurt Busiek and John Paul Leon unite for the spiritual companion to the beloved SUPERMAN: SECRET IDENTITY, putting a new spin you’ve never seen before on the legend of Batman—and the dark emotions that drive him!

Presumably Eobard somehow causes Barry to turn into the Negative-Flash, as this is right after a storyline involving him.  Or maybe it’s an accidental effect from the Negative Speed Force when Barry’s pursuing him.  Either way, he’s probably the source.
Not sure if I like the sound of that Rogue issue, but we’ll see how it goes.

FC CHANGE !!!
Tumblr media
i probably should’ve thought of this awhile ago but !!! here it is finally. i have made fc change from jung yein of lovelyz to im dayoung of wjsn ♥ i’ve had trouble plotting/writing for yein for awhile so hopefully with this fresh new face, i’ll be able to crank out all the plotting and interactions she deserves~ with this change there has come a few minor changes to her bg ( updated background & profile ) but !!! very minimal. all that has been changed is her name, bday, and the modeling part of her bg ( this has been completely cut ). sooooo to everyone i was/planning to plot with, this shouldn’t affect anything but if it does please let me know!
so start off this change on a good foot, we’ll also call this a charisma starter call !! i borrowed this little idea from the wonderful abbie ( ily ♥ ) and have placed some plots below the cut. if you wouldn’t mind getting a charisma starter from this cutie, please comment with the number of the plot you’d like or shoot me a message !!
1. i wish ( must attend hanlim multi arts )
dayoung had missed a few days of school and you leave flowers on her desk to welcome her back. unknown to you, she happens to be allergic to this certain type of flower - leading her to break out into hives. guilt, ridden, you escort her to the nurse’s station.
2. f is for friends ( anyone )
dayoung, while incredibly social, has a problem keeping ( and finding ) friends. while this has proven a problem when it came to going out, she didn’t let this stop her from seeing beauty and the beast - even if that meant sitting alone. upon arriving at the theater, she manages to find only a seat free right in the middle of the packed room. you who sit right next to her, unfortunately, have become her best friend for the night.
3. switch-a-roo ( anyone )
she is admittedly one of the worst people you could get behind in line, anywhere. you have the misfortune of getting behind her at starbucks and she keeps changing her mind. finally, you lend a hand to help her choose a drink but the worker mixes your names up somehow and end up giving you two each other’s order. looking to share?
4. cat got your tongue? ( anyone )
it’s late and dayoung is at a gas station looking for food after her gymnastic’s practice. half asleep, she mindless throws stuff in her little basket and right before she’s about to go to the check-out you stop her - claiming dayoung had shoved some candy bars in her pocket in and attempt to steal. “me?!”
➻        and some open events she needs filling !!!
5. collab event ( rapper needed )
6. makeover partner
7. dance off
➻        and finally some prompts !!!
8. “we’re stuck on the top of a ferris wheel together and i only got on next to you because i really didn’t want to wait for the next go-around ??”
9. “you punched me in the face while gesticulating wildly to a friend”
10. “hello we are strangers fighting over this last balloon that’s shaped like a cats head.”
11. “i was imitating a fight scene off this anime i watched and accidentally hit you in the face.”
12.“i’ve had a really awful day so i started kicking a car out of frustration and it turned out to be your car i’m so sorry”
13. “i’m watching The Lion King on my phone and i’m trying to hide the fact i’m sobbing uncontrollably but you notice anyway.”
14. “hell no you cannot survive off of gas station candy i’m taking us to a real restaurant”
15. “you always have at least 3 cats or more trailing behind you at all times and i’m sorry but i have to ask “are you magical?”
16. “you are very tall and i am very short so you run into me all the time and honestly this is getting ridiculous”

NAME OF YOUR MUSE:
Laurent Young
ONE PICTURE YOU LIKE BEST OF YOUR MUSE’S FC
Tumblr media
TWO HEADCANONS YOU HAVE FOR YOUR MUSE THAT YOU NEVER TOLD ANYONE
Laurent has to really focus if she’s casting an illusion onto herself, especially if she’s trying to imitate other people – for instance, if she’s trying to use mimicry of others. If she were to pretend to be her siblings, it’d be pretty easy since she’s known them the longest.
Laurent’s been notable to be attractive person, whether presenting femininely or masculinely; some of their university friends have asked them to model for their art related projects. They’ve done some modeling shoots too.
THREE THINGS THAT YOUR MUSE LIKES DOING IN THEIR FREE TIME
Grooming family dogs: Laurent enjoys spending time with their two dogs, it’s usually relaxing for them to groom them. Their dogs Vivi and Lyn enjoy the attention.
Swimming: When not rescuing kids at the pool they work at, Laurent enjoys to swim a lot whether in a pool or in the ocean. Feeling the water on their skin is particularly refreshing to them.
Family time: When they aren’t all bombarded with work, Laurent enjoys spending time with her family – whether at the dinner table or during fun games they play with their family.
SEVEN PEOPLE THAT YOUR MUSE LOVES/LIKES
Raine
Lars
Their Mother
The Bennett Family
Wolfram
Their friends outside the family
Phantasos
TWO THINGS YOUR MUSE REGRETS
Being the only survivor of the car crash
Not keeping Raine safe from her abduction
TWO PHOBIAS YOUR MUSE HAS
Forgetting: Due to the trauma she doesn’t remember, Laurent fears of the possibility that she’ll lose her memory again thus forget everything she holds dear.
Touch: Laurent doesn’t remember, but her body does. She’s reacts swiftly to those who touch her without her permission (or if she’s not initiating it). It kinda goes on flight and fight mode. Unbeknownst to her, her biological father tended to strike her when in his drunken rages.

OC Application Kai Titus: accepted
Congratulations Jemma! Your application for Kai Titus has been approved. Please take the time to create your account and submit it back to the main RPG.
OOC Information:
Name: Jemma Age: 24 Timezone: CST Activity Level (1-10): 6 or 7 IC Information: Name: Kai Titus FC: Rome Flynn Age: 20 Species: Wendigo Occupation (If Student please add a major. It can also be undecided): Law Ships: Chemistry Biography:
Kai always found brilliance and inspiration in art. It always made his day better whether it was crafting something or singing a song. California was filled with great diversity when it came art. However, what brought him the most joy was imitation. It was something that always brought joy to his father, especially when he was stressed out or having a bad day. He was good at giving life to a voice of a character on T.V or a song artist. It was with time then that he learned that imitating voices was just one of his many powers.
It was those same power, however, that let hunters know of his identity and in the process it made him and his father move from town to town until they settled quietly in Beacon Hills where they have lived for several years now. He also learned more about his identity and the lifestyle required to live and survive as a wendigo in this dark world. It meant that he couldn’t be in the spotlight anymore. It was either passion or life and most of the time he chose life.
When he chose passion it would be behind his dad’s wishes. He would go on competitions or sing at bars. Sometimes nothing happened. Sometimes it did and when it did, it was just another day where his dad would remind him of how to move forward. He was doing a job he didn’t like. He was studying something he wasn’t passionate about. He has tried to do what his dad has said for years, but he wasn’t sure how long he could keep it going.
Para Sample (2+ Paragraphs): N/A Second Choice (If OC, then wait after decision for first character has been made):  Anything Else? Wolfsbane

Defending Friends On The Street Transformed Narantungalag Jadambaa’s Life
Tumblr media
Former ONE Featherweight World Champion Narantungalag “Tungaa” Jadambaa is set to make his return to the ONE Championship cage at the age of 42.
The Mongolian hero was one of ONE’s shining stars during the first few years of his run with the organisation – with his all-action style powering him to the belt.
Now, after an 18-month hiatus, Jadambaa is ready to return to the fray once again at ONE: PINNACLE OF POWER, where he’ll meet Edward “The Ferocious” Kelly in Macau.
The bout represents the latest step in a lifelong martial arts journey that started as a youngster in Bulgan, Mongolia, when he discovered the classic martial arts movies of the late, great Bruce Lee.
“I fell in love with martial arts through Bruce Lee’s movies around 1990,” he says.
“We imitated the things we saw in his action movies. We agreed how to punch and kick in advance, and we trained defending against each other.”
His rudimentary training led to formal martial arts classes. His skills would eventually be put to the test in a real-life situation, when he found himself in an altercation on the streets of Mongolia’s second-biggest city, Erdenet.
Jadambaa intervened when he saw his friends being confronted by strangers, and he found himself face-to-face with the police as a result.
“I was interrogated by police officers because of a street fight when I was young,” he explains.
“I fought against someone to help my friends and defend myself. Because I had hurt him, I was interrogated about the crime by the police many times, and I was about to be punished.”
Fortunately for Jadambaa, the police didn’t pursue any further punishment, and he was free to leave. But that experience resonated with the Mongolian, who resolved to learn more about the law and to deal with disagreements and disputes without the use of force.
“I felt the necessity of learning the laws at the time,” he says.
“I thought that I would be able to understand different people’s perspectives without fighting, and not be involved in a crime if I learned and researched the law.”
He moved to the Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar, where he studied at the Law Enforcement University of Mongolia and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
Despite his dedication to his studies, Jadambaa’s passion for martial arts remained undimmed.
He earned black belts in both karate and judo before competing as a kickboxer at the highest level. Eventually, he also transitioned his skills to the cage and, by 2009, he had won the Legend FC Lightweight Championship.
That martial arts pedigree earned him a spot in ONE Championship, where, in 2014, he became the ONE Featherweight World Champion by defeating Koji Oishi. His achievements in martial arts were recognised by the Mongolian government, who awarded him the Mongolian Order of Merit, which was presented to him by the President of Mongolia himself.
Jadambaa’s title run ended at the hands of Russian submission ace Marat “Cobra” Gafurov in November 2015, and despite winning his way back to a rematch a year later, the Mongolian star was unable to gain redemption against the Russian. As a result, he stepped away from active competition.
“After competing against Marat Gafurov, I thought that I needed to improve my wrestling and grappling skills, and my physical strength,” Jadambaa explains.
“Now, I think that I have improved myself even more than before.”
Ready to return and make another run towards the sharp end of the ONE featherweight division, Jadambaa makes his comeback against Filipino contender Kelly at ONE: PINNACLE OF POWER in Macau.
But while the lure of a possible title shot lies just beyond his comeback bout, Jadambaa says he’s keeping his focus firmly fixed on his upcoming opponent.
“I am only thinking about the fight with Edward Kelly now,” he says.
“If I beat him, I think it would be right to continue to fight, and it will motivate me to train more as a result.”
The return of an on-form Jadambaa would add even more intrigue to an already exciting ONE featherweight division. The acid test of that possibility should make for fascinating viewing when he faces Kelly on Saturday, 23 June.

stacie evans. ● sophomore. ( 16. ) ● bisexual. ● fc: annasophia robb. ● taken.
❝  Little S is just enamored with the Upper East Side. Home life in a shabby Brooklyn apartment is a little too quaint for the handmaiden to Rachel and Kurt. Stacie yearns to get a seat on the steps of the Met, so she’s been trying to hide her scholarship roots and non-designer clothing items. But the role of minion isn’t exactly sunshine and rainbows, and Little S has yet to learn that Queendom doesn’t come cheap.  ❞
expanded bio:
Unlike most of her peers, Stacie Grace Evans wasn’t born into the glamorous world that was the Upper East Side. Her family didn’t come from great wealth and held no power or notable position. Her dad was a former musician who was in a band most people never heard of and her mom was a struggling artist. Then there was her and her brother, Sam, who were both nothing really too special. They were just a small family living in Brooklyn and even though they didn’t have a luxurious life, they always knew they had each other to lean on. She always had someone to come home to and her family always had dinner together.
Stacie knew that they did didn’t have much and while money was tight, she felt lucky that she lived in such an amazing city like New York. The summers were always buzzing and the winters were always magical. She also loved how she could walk through the city and find people from all walks of life and see the beautiful clothes hanging on display in the fashion district of the city. Even if she couldn’t afford them she always greatly admired them for their color and design. She remembers as a child asking her mother if she could get one of Paolo Sebastian’s dresses for her birthday. Of course, that was way beyond their parent’s budget but also remembers how hard her mom worked to try recreating the dress. It wasn’t an exact recreation but it was an admirable effort. In fact, watching her mother work so hard on something so beautiful (at lest it was to an 8 year old Stacie) was what inspired the youngest Evans to try her own hand at creating garments. She asked her mother to teach her and she was more than happy to. It started off with making clothing for her dolls then developed into simple skirts and dresses to full fledge outfits. Using her skills to imitate the latest styles in Vogue and Vanity Fair with the help of her mother. It was one of her favorite things to do together and will always be some of Stacie’s fondest memories.
And it might be those very memories that may be holding Stacie back from accepting exactly what her mother has done. Before Stacie went into middle school, her mother had decided to go across the country for the summer to have more time to find herself as an artist, leaving behind her husband, Sam, and Stacie. Things have been a bit off since she left but Stacie is sure that her mother will come back home soon. She said she would be back before the end of the summer – though it’s been more than a few summers since school’s been in session but Stacie has hope that her mother will return. After all, she wouldn’t just leave them. Her mother couldn’t possibly just leave her without a word. It may be silly to keep holding on hope that she’ll walk through the loft doors but Stacie can’t let go, because letting go would mean she would have to deal with the heartbreak and she doesn’t know if she’s ready to handle that type of disappointment. Besides, her mother does still end her cactuses every year for her birthday so she knows she’s still thinking about her in some way – even though the last few years they have come in a month early than her actual birthday.
When she found out her brother got a scholarship to St. Jude’s in the Upper East Side, Stacie was incredibly jealous. She had heard about the type of people who attended that school and couldn’t believe Sam had the opportunity to go while she was stuck in drab ol’ Brooklyn. However, she was happy for Sam since she knew that this opportunity would open doors for him and hey, if Sam got invited to any cool parties then she’d make sure to blackmail him till he agreed to bring her along. And perhaps she should have known that her brother wasn’t going to be going to any fabulous social events considering he’s always been a huge dork but she was still disappointed when he couldn’t even manage to get an invitation to the end of the year charity ball – even the handmaiden’s get invited to that! How did Sam actually manage to be such a huge loser that he couldn’t even get an invite to that?!
Anyway, the idea that Stacie might potentially be forever stuck watching the world from the Gossip Girl blog was terrifying. She knew that money didn’t necessarily buy happiness, but it did buy respect. Which might be the thing Stacie longed for more than anything else. Being the youngest in her family and barely 5 feet tall, people looked at her like she was just a little girl. She could see people just see her as the doe-eyed naïve girl but she knew she was so much more. Stacie just needed the chance to prove it. She had drive and ambition; she had a real talent that she knew could get her far if people were willing to give her a chance.
That’s when she decided that if she couldn’t get a the same scholarship as Sam, then she would find her own. So she looked around and entered essay writing contests, put in volunteer hours at the local shelters, and even tried to apply for a Native American scholarship because she was pretty sure she was 10% Cherokee on her mom’s side. Unfortunately, nothing seemed to work. It wasn’t until she entered an art contest held by schools of the Upper East Side district. It was her last chance and perhaps her biggest gamble to compete against people all over the city who had years technical training. She worked tirelessly to produce a collection of pieces worthy to show to those who she wished to one-day work by. Luckily for her, a few members of the board took note of her. Her stylish drawings of Brooklyn contrasted by the bright imagery of clothes that commented of the New York dream garnered positive attention and managed to actually win an art scholarship to Constance Billiard the following year.
It was like a dream come true, she nearly cried when her name was announced as a winner and Sam had to remind her that the rich and famous weren’t found of outward emotion. So Stacie tried to keep calm as she accepted her award but as soon as they were out the doors the youngest Evans screamed in joy and danced all the way home like an idiot. As soon as she got back to her room that night, she started planning and prepping for her freshman year at her new school and going over the game plan of how she would make her entrance and what cool thing she would say to Kurt Hummel when they met.
Unfortunately, life at Constance Billiard was not what Stacie expected. Granted, it might have been a little silly for her to have expected to walk into the halls of the girl’s school and expect Rachel Berry to take notice of her altered uniform and mention it to her best friend Kurt Hummel before deciding to take the young Evans under their wing. Yeah, that was quite a bit of wishful thinking on her part but it seemed like the girls at school could clock her imitation dresses from 10 miles away and her last season shoes that she bought on sale weren’t quite good enough.
Stacie wishes she could say that this didn’t bother her, but it did. It bothered her so much. She would see all the pretty girls get to school in their town cars as the sound of their designer shoes filled the halls before sitting down on the steps to eat their organic gluten free meal cooked by their personal chef while little Stacie Evans had to take the subway to school and sit in a classroom to eat her PB&J sandwich – and she was pretty sure the bread was a little stale at that. She really couldn’t complain though, at lest she wasn’t getting bullied. There were definitely less fortunate girls who were the targets of the Queen Bees wrath but Stacie didn’t hold any threat so she mostly managed to fly under the radar for most of her freshman year.
However, as the year went on she was starting to realize that maybe being invisible might actually be detrimental to her social status if she ever wants to be somebody. If she ever wanted to make connections and the respect of her peers she needed to break out of her shell unless she wanted to be dubbed a similar nickname to that of her brother’s “lonely boy” by Gossip girl. So Stacie took out her sewing machine, a pair of scissors, and some tulle. She didn’t have money, but she had an incredible sense of style and creatively. She altered her uniform and blouses, did some extra chores to gather enough money for vintage accessories because saying something is vintage sounds so much better than saying something was on sale – at least in the Upper East Side.
It wasn’t until her sophomore year that the Inner Circle finally took notice of little Stacie Evans when she wore one of her own designs to homecoming. Sure, it was a work of an armature but one that had potential to say that least. Not to mention that Stacie had a cute face and an eagerness to please, and so the prince and princess of the Upper East Side declared her a project. While Stacie is thankful for the opportunity to for Manhattan royalty, she wonders if she’ll ever been seen more than just a lowly handmaiden. Stacie may be small but she’ll to anything to come on top – even if it means she might have to cross those who took a chance on her. She’s not willing to blend into the background again and if gaining attention and popularity means she’ll have to make a few waves than so be it.
connections:
Kurt Hummel & Rachel Berry are the king and queen bitches of the Upper East Side, and they rule with an iron fist. All Stacie wants is to make her way into the charmed circle, but selling your soul doesn’t come easy.
Stephen Fabray might not remember Little S, but she remembers him. The two were almost “friends” before Quinn disappeared and he went from innocent as a Taylor Swift love interest to the Upper East Side’s newest douchebag playboy. Though Stacie would love to use the friendship to get closer to the inner circle, she’s still miffed about the cold shoulder her gave her this summer.

would you accepted a fc change to a poc fc for olivia?
Apologies, but no—Olivia was constructed as a commentary on some of the most vapid qualities of Hollywood and materialism, or the projection of our culture in such media, and so we have her as a rich, blonde girl throughout the history of our game. Olivia is someone who has spent so much time in her insular, comfortable world that when she wanted attention, her logical conclusion was to fake possession, mimicking television; she is life that imitates art. We deeply encourage muses of colour, however! The majority of our muses here are. We hope you understand! If you’re interested in apping for a lady of colour, we need a Talia, and I know Paul would love his twin Paige!

When exactly did you become a fan of your college football team?
Here are a bunch of fun stories. Give us yours!
SB Nation has a cool series right now: each of our team sites discussing the origins of fandom. I wanted to share a few of the best from our college team blogs, though there are many other good ones. (To join in and enter a contest, find your school's blog.)
College fandom often goes deeper than the pro kind, whether due to regional history or alumni status or family ties, and a lot of these stories stand out as pretty unique.
Like becoming a Texas fan because your mom was into Russell Crowe's rock band:
Mom decided to visit Austin in 2001 to see TOFOG and re-connect with a friend from graduate school.
I was looking at at a handful of schools at that time — Montana, Montana State, CU-Boulder, a liberal arts college in Minneapolis, and Indiana as a back up. I wasn’t really sold on any of them and basically eliminated the school in Minnesota because I made the smart choice of visiting it in December.
Mom and her friend decided I should visit Austin, so I did in October of 2001.
Or finding UCLA by way of the New York Yankees:
In the late 70s, it was all about the Yanks, no matter how much you Dodger fans hated it. My guys on those Yankee teams were catcher Thurman Munson and first baseman Chris Chambliss, who kickstarted the Yankee dynasty of that era with a walk-off home run in the 1976 American League Championship Series to send the Yankees to the World Series.
It would be years later that I came to know that Chambliss had played his college baseball at UCLA.
My next step towards the Bruins probably didn’t come until the late '80s when Troy Aikman faced off against Rodney Peete.
Or finding Penn State because the Browns pulled a Browns:
On Nov. 9, 1993, the Browns made a shocking move by releasing Bernie Kosar, a hometown hero whom every kid (and many adults) in my region idolized. He was the ultimate underdog, a slow-footed quarterback with awkward mechanics. Kosar was able to use his understanding of the game to become one of the NFL’s top quarterbacks throughout the late ‘80s and into the ‘90s.
I was too heartbroken to cheer for the Browns for the remainder of the season. I followed Kosar to the Cowboys and cheered as he filled in to lead them to an NFC Championship victory by filling in for an injured Troy Aikman and took the field for the final play in Super Bowl XXVIII.
I was determined not to cheer for the Browns again until Art Modell had sold the team and Bill Belichick was long gone from Cleveland, and decided to pay more attention to college football and my adopted team of Penn State.
Well, let’s just say my timing couldn’t have been better. As you know, the Nittany Lions went undefeated behind one of the most electrifying offenses in the history of college football, led by the likes of Kerry Collins, Ki-Jana Carter, Kyle Brady and Bobby Engram.
Or becoming a Sooner immediately after immigrating from India:
When my family made the move from India decades ago, we first settled in the great town of Norman, Oklahoma, where my uncle’s family who’d sponsored ours for immigration had been living. My uncle, a professor and administrator at OU through the 1980s and ‘90s, gets most of the credit for teaching me about American sports, and my two older U.S.-born cousins get the rest. Truth be told, the first football game I remember was Notre Dame taking on West Virginia. My attention was fixated on the Irish’s helmets.
Forgive me, for I was only six and had never before seen the crazy game of football. (I will mention, however, I was a pretty damn good cricketer.)
My fickle infatuation didn’t last long, and the colors of the Crimson & Cream took over. I remember my cousin, Vijay, would fill me in on all things OU daily, and I’d eat up that knowledge. About a month into my indoctrination, I knew all about Coach Switzer, the wishbone, Mookie Blaylock and the Kansas Jayhawks, who had robbed the Sooners of the 1988 basketball crown and were the epitome of evil.
Or getting the full brunt of Oklahoma State pain right up front:
On October 30, 2004, I cried like the nine-year-old I was. Since the first home game I’d attended nearly a year before, I'd developed a passion for Oklahoma State. What happened on October 30, 2004?
Adrian Peterson happened.
It was another classic Bedlam. Back-and-forth, and neither team could stop the other. Peterson had 249 yards on 33 carries, and rattled off an 80-yard touchdown run that all of us remember.
A Vernand Morency touchdown with 11 minutes left cut the second-ranked OU lead to 38-35. The momentum swung toward OSU, and it felt like if the Cowboys could just score one more time, they’d steal a Bedlam win.
With ten seconds left, OSU set up Jason Ricks for a 49-yard field goal from the left hash.
Good snap. Good hold. Wide right.
From our seats, I thought it went in. I went ballistic. I then looked at my dad and saw the horror on his face.
Or becoming a Louisville fan at an even younger age:
I can't tell you when precisely when I "decided" to become a Louisville fan. All I know is there are tapes of me asking which team is "the good guys" very soon after the time I learned to talk. All I know is there are videos of me in a U of L basketball uniform performing mock starting lineups at an age where psychologists say I couldn't form conscious memories. All I know is that for as long as I can recall, Cardinal sports have been something that I've cared about far more than I care about most things.
Or being literally born into fandom:
Following a discharge as a Major, this family put in roots in South Jordan, Utah. Partially due to the chance to go to BYU sports.
Early in the 3rd quarter, Steve Young threw a dart to Mike Eddo for a 24-yard TD, and a Lee Johnson PAT put BYU up 42-7 against the Bowling Green Falcons.
It was around this moment when I pulled my best Lee Johnson imitation — in my mother’s uterus. That’s right. My mom not only went to a football game while she was 9 months pregnant, she also went into labor.
Or finding rivalry while in the middle of making your college decision:
In February of 2008, I visited the University of Oregon for the first time. By the time I completed the tour, I knew this place was special. I just felt like I was at home, especially because I am a runner, and how could I turn down a town with running at its core?
On the way back up to the airport, we stopped at Oregon State for a visit. As soon as I heard they didn't offer a journalism program, I popped the trunk and pulled out my Ducks sweatshirt I’d just acquired and tossed it on while still on campus.
I also visited Washington State and loved the campus. What crossed it off the list was when someone on the campus tour asked what people do for fun in Pullman. Well, they can't be honest and say drink heavily, so they pointed us to Moscow, Idaho, where I think there was a Walmart and maybe an IHOP.
(Our Washington State fans are over here.)
Or having one of those geographically disparate piles of fandoms that mark a person as being from a time, rather than a place:
I got into sports when I was five, and I was five in 1995, and the Gators were great at football then. I would be up early for school every morning, and started reading the sports pages of the Orlando Sentinel daily and watching SportsCenter almost as often, falling for the Gators and Atlanta Braves and Green Bay Packers and Orlando Magic because they were all prominent and potent.
I was a bandwagoner, but we who are fans all are bandwagoners at least once, whether we jump on the back of the wagon, or are placed on it by parents, or amble up onto it as children who would have no use for the word “bandwagon” in the first place.
Or the greatest fandom explanation of them all: picking a lifelong allegiance just to troll your friends:
I followed the best players and tuned into whatever the prime games on ESPN and ABC were. That is until I got sick of my friend and his borderline obsession with [Iowa State QB] Seneca Wallace. I’m not embellishing when I tell you that at the peak of this love affair, he owned three Seneca Wallace jerseys and had them in a rotation. To top that, when Wallace made it to the league, my friend would trade him to whichever team he used to play me in Madden.
So, I did what all of us would do to their friend… I started rooting for his favorite player’s rival, just to bust his huevos.
Now, I didn’t know anything about Iowa to start. I thought their jerseys were some of the cleanest in college football. But that was about it. As I started watching more intently, it didn’t take long for me to get hooked.
I was raised a fourth-generation Georgia Tech fan in Atlanta. My first sports memory is a Clemson fan roaring in my face when I was three. The first sports thing I cared about was the Yellow Jackets' 1990 national title season. I assumed things would stay good forever, so I became a Falcons and Hawks fan too. Things didn't stay good.
I went to Kennesaw State, a little north of Atlanta, but mostly rooted for Tech until KSU's 2010 announcement that we were starting an FCS team. I'd never identified with Tech's fans, because I'm not smart and because Jackets aren't used to embracing sidewalk alumni, so transferring all my emotions was easier than it sounds.
Otherwise, in my job covering college football full-time since that season, I think I just root for whatever would make the most people happy at the time. Clemson winning a good title game made people pretty happy.
Tip on over to your school’s blog to share your own story.
