I really love one of the writers of while you were sleeping and I really hate the other one.
#love when there’s two writers on a project where I have mixed emotions#I can always blame one of them lol#I mean I know it’s not that simple#but yeah. I LOVE the chemistry between the leads and the acting and there’s something about the story I just adore#but also I’ve seen it too many times to not also see the writer flaws#and I don’t just mean the absurdity#of the premise#my mom does tear up EVERY TIME at the wedding scene#when Lucy says ‘I fell in love with you’ and Ox goes ‘you fell in love with me?’#and Lucy goes ‘no. yes. all of you!’#it’s peak my mom energy#anyways I have thoughts#Sandra bullock and young bill pullman you will always be famous#writers —do better#this is such a collection of thoughts#basically: I think it COULD be an absolute classic that endures so well#and it isn’t quite because there is some silliness some crassness some stretching some#shaky writing#that is me being super critical#but yeah. anyways. lol.#I love a lot about it
