One of the benefits of having purchased a long charger is that I don’t have to hang off my bed folded at a 90 degree angle when my phone’s battery is low but on the flip side it’s almost 3am and I lay here comfortable and unfolded with my phone on low power mode at 17% and charging I can’t help feeling like it enables my screen addiction a bit

#ok that’s all #sleepy time now #probably not though #because #hashtag crippling addiction that nobody talks about because almost everyone has the same addiction #and a LOT of money is made off of said addiction #oh also when anyone under 40 tries to talk about said addiction we get shamed and told it’s our fault #when I’m reality hundreds of companies with trillions of dollars and nearly spend countless resources to keep us addicted #and everyone is like vaguely aware #cough cough #the algorithm #and people over 40 just pretend they’re not addicted because they’ve convinced themselves that it only affects young people #and kids today are growing up with screens basically from brith #and not knowing life without screens #so their/our addictions are guaranteed since grown ass adults can’t not get addicted to social media and screens and whatever #any technology is useful yes #and social media can and has been fun #but the harm it causes is profitable so no one will stop it #thanks for coming to my Ted talk enjoy being slaves to social media as much as you can #- a kid with an addiction #(which would be sad if it was like drugs or cigarettes)
