I like Pokémon! I loved collecting cards for their art. Gave all of them away to a cousin a few years ago, but it'll love the designs. Never played an actual Pokémon game tho.

Me and Rayquaza are just chill. I've decided they are my favorite for no particular reason!

for gameplay I really recommend like.. taking ur time. minecraft is one of those games that if you do what you think youre supposed to oNLY then youll get bored quick bc its more of a sandbox game where the main challenge is whatever you decide it to be. thats why people often refer to having "2 week fixations" on minecraft because realistically you can complete the game in like... one or two sittings. or at least what is defined as completing the game. its a game about finding what about it you really enjoy. like some folk love to build, farm and others like to mine and loot and grind for the best equipment!! ive been playing mc for so long that I actually rarely play vanilla for the exact reason I said like I just get bored after a while BUT thats where mods come in!

modrinth is a great site and app for minecraft modpacks. you download the app and from it you can not only make your own packs of mods, you can dl premade and popular modpacks! these modpacks range from insanely difficult realistic ones to ones that turn your game into a pokemon game so its a fun experience just browsing them. my personal favourite is better minecraft (fabric version) which im currently playing a lot. despite adding SO many mods, it still feels very minecrafty and true to its "vanilla +" theme. I dont enjoy big game changing mod packs because of the learning curve required with them, but better minecraft is really enjoyable to just explore and discover without feeling overwhelmed. another great modpack which is wildly different to that is cobblemon (fabric) which is based on the pokemon mod for minecraft with the same name! its quite different to your regular mc experience but still super fun!

what are the variations on technical races you mentioned? it seems cool!

OKAY SO. a lot of these are variations I PERSONALLY came up with or my friends came up with back home because we didnt have actual racing shit on vulgrado it was just me and a bunch of other 10 year olds doing whatever the fuck we wanted and then i brought a few over to my groups here in paldea!

the main kinda variation are battle races. races where you have apokemon battle while racing on cyclizar. races where you can ram into eachother. races where you straiht up knife fight on cyclizar back (do not do this)

my favourite type and the one i brought over to paldea and has kinda become a big part of the technical racing community over the last two years is capture the flag racing. this one tends to just be called a battle race sometimes too.

to start, this race is either held like a technical race OR it can be done on a speed racing track (although since its illegal we usually just break in at night or make our own speed race track). you have your cyclie and scout pokemon but also an attacking pokemon, making a team of 3. for me this team would be dash, decibel, and pickle. the attacking pokemon is usually something fast that can keep up with cyclizar somewhat, ride with you, ride with the scout pokemon, or just be thrown and launched at other riders.

each group of rider and their three pokemon is given 3 scarfs or handkerchiefs or bandanas or flag or whatever. the rider and cyclie have one, the scout has one, and the attacker has one. the aim of the game is to take other groups flags without havin your own stolen while running the race. first rider to make it to the end with at least one of their flags wins the race HOWEVER you dont just leave the race when you lose all your flags. once youve lost all three, it stops being about getting to the end and instead becomes about sabotaging everyone else. there are capture the flag races where no one wins, and capture the flag races where everyone makes it to the end with at least one flag. usually though you got at least a couple people without their flags and just a handful who manage to make it to the end.

theres a lot of other shit you can do honestly just depends what ur friends are into. sometimes you got almost cops and robbers type games. ive played hide and seek while on a cyclizar. you can do whatever you want forever (just dont get caught by the real cops)

Things are a lot better now in comparison.

35) Favourite subject

Mildly embarrassing because I don't have very much in depth knowledge on any one subject but I have surface level knowledge of many. So my favourite subject would be maybe Pokemon or well done high fantasy. Or really just any engaging story with characters that feel organic. Bonus points for a well thought out magic system, more points if the story actually has a message, and even more points if the writing is smart, funny and well thought out. Needless to say I consider Terry Pratchett to be the absolute peak of literature.

40) Favourite memory

Ooh this is a tough one. Hmmm.

The exact moment when you defeat Giratina in Pokemon Legends Arceus and you think the battle is over and then the flatline plays and the music changes into its Pokemon Platinum theme and it turns into its Origin Form and you're just there staring at the screen and physically yelling with excitement.

Apart from that I had some pretty good times back when I lived in hostel, staying up overnight playing smash bros with my two then best friends. I miss those guys and those times.

Honestly I'd be entirely satisfied being exactly where I am now, only without the uncertainty ruling my life.

Zettablogging plans/notes!

I originally wanted to clean this up and make it more detailed and nice before posting it! However that doesn't seem to be happening, so I think I shall just post what I had! Spoilers for Nexomon and Sun/Ultra Sun!

-Got Ultra Wormholed after being freed from the Underworld but before getting back to the main world. Is secretly both worried about his family/what that means, and very secretly glad to be out of there.

-Has a bit of a rivalry going on with Tapu Koko. It's increasingly a friendly rivalry, but Zetta will probably always call him "that jerk".

-First partner is a Rotom because of course it is. He gets the Rotom that would inhabit the protagonist's Rotomdex in canon.

-Can talk to electric type Pokemon, speaking the language of electricity and currents. Can't talk to any other ones.

-Puts up a token effort to pretend to be human around the villagers of Iki Town. Does not bother on Rotomblr. (Theoretically pretends to be human in front of Kukui, however Kukui watched him meet and talk to his Rotom buddy so that skitty's out of the bag. Kukui probably thinks he is a Rotom.) This does not stop him from trying to get zapped by every electric type pokemon he sees. -He will eventually find out about the power plant on Ula'ula, go there, and cause a blackout by eating up the electricity there. Never admits responsibility to anyone but it's really obvious.

-Zygarde doesn't like him, for obvious reasons. He gives off the same sort of aura as an Ultra Beast. The other Tapu also start rushing to fight off this new Ultra-intruder when he lands on their islands, until and unless Koko steps in to explain.

-Is aware of Lillie as Kukui's protege, but doesn't actually meet her until late in the "game". Is in the Ultra Sun-verse, kind of. (A blend of Sun and Ultra Sun.)

-Is still pre-character-development; thinks humans are expendable, but kind of entertaining. Is royally (heh) offended to be running errands for one, but Kukui's wife studies the wormholes that dropped Zetta in Alola and she's probably his best shot at getting home. So he plays nice. He slowly gets casually fond of the ones he interacts with a lot.

-Doesn't use Pokeballs; doesn't see a reason to, and shorts them out.

-Gets a more appropriate outfit for Alola but refuses to lose his visor.

-Will eventually punch Necrozma in the face. This is not negotiable. And/or bite them.

-Runs into Xurkitree at the Aether Foundation when Moon and Gladion drag enlist him to help them rescue Lillie. Their ensuing fight and subsequent alliance would probably scare everyone who saw it if they weren't occupied with other matters at the time.

-Can't currently transform because Necrozma ate all his electricity. The more time he spends in Alola the more he recovers, though. He is incredibly whiny and upset until he starts to feel like himself again. Koko gives him a charge boost near the end so he can transform and go beat up Necrozma. (There is an AU where I tossed in a reference to one of my favourite fics and Zetta gets in contact with more legendaries at this point, but I never heard back on if it was okay for me to do that, so it remains an AU)

-Eventual team is Rotom, Vikavolt, Dedenne, Electivire, Xurkitree, aaand Oricorio-P.

-Drags his feet a little on going home; Lillie and the URS are happy to help him do so after he sends Necrozma packing, but eventually he realizes he can't put it off anymore and he has to face the music in his own world, maybe with a bit more compassion and humility than he'd had when he arrived. I would have used this foot-dragging to justify posting even after the main arc had finished.

P is for power! Who is your favourite superhero?: I do not know much about superheroes or comic books despite their popularity, therefore I do not have an answer for this question.

A is for adoption! If you could adopt any pokemon, what species would you pick?: Despite my partial poison-typing and weakness to Psychic types, I have grown fond of them, especially Espurr. They are quite adorable in my eyes and to many others.

N is for neat! How tidy are you?: I try my best to make sure my personal space is as clean and organized as possible, with varying degrees of success. It is harder than it looks to be tidy.

D is for danger! What is the most dangerous experience you have faced?: I have almost fallen off the back of Hyperion whilst soaring with them. This happened early in their evolution as I was taking one of my first flights with them. I am grateful that they did not hesitate to save me due to the bond we share.

[Hi anon! That would be Vaporeon (My brother gave me his back in 1999 or something so that I could complete my Blue Pokédex and it ended up being one of my 3 lv100 Pokémon in that game. I then sent him to Yellow, then Silver, then Crystal, then my computer and Pokémon Stadium 2 which is his final resting place.) It's a sentimental favourite =)

games ive played in 2022, ranked from least to most favourite:

11: hollow knight (2017)

i tried so hard to like this game. i should like it. its got bugs. its got atmosphere. its got worldbuilding and multiple endings. but god i hate platformers. i hate metroidvanias. this was painful to play and i will not be playing any more.

10: project diva future tone (ps4) (2017)

its a rhythm game so it really cant go any higher. i like it more than megamix (plus using the playstation is better than the switch i think) but yknow. i cant say its got great characters or story yknow? but the songs are good and its fun

9: final fantasy x (2001, switch remaster 2019)

i wish i liked this game more… its good but so watery. such old graphics. idk i just couldnt get into it even if the ending was really good

8. tales of phantasia (1995, gba version 2006)

very surprised at how well it holds up. its a tales game so it ranks higher than it probably should for me, but the characters are fun, the gameplay is fun, and its the first game in the series, so its iconic as hell. the old graphics and lacklustre combat knocked it down a few points (as did the goddamn mines…) but the enjoyment i got from it won out. good game. i played the gba version

7. splatoon 3 (2022)

sorry for not playing the other splatoon games this shit is FUN. salmon run is so good, yall. i put more hours into salmon run alone than most other games ive ever played. stream deep cut

6. ys viii (2017)

im actually still playing this one but MAN is it enjoyable. killer soundtrack. cool time mechanics. challenging combat. nice well rounded cast of npcs (and theres like 20+ regular ones!). makes me wanna try the rest of the series. even tho im kinda peeved that theres like no content for this game here but WHATEVER its good. play ys viii.

5. pokemon scarlet (2022)

yes it had bugs & ur correct to say i shouldnt have bought it. but theyve really perfected pokemon games with this one. open world is the way pokemon is meant to be played. the new pokemon are really good designs. the story was actually riveting at the end, the rivals are up there with sun and sword for how well done they are, koraidon’s one of my new faves, and holy god the soundtrack is good. the literal only thing that would improve it would be if it had a bigger dex and wasnt made in such a rush. i wish this game had come out next year or the year after bc then itd be perfect.

4. triangle strategy (2022)

this is the first strategy game in the genre that ive played, and i enjoyed it! i played it 3 times in a row to get all the endings + ramping up the difficulty made it such a good challenge. npcs couldve been a bit better developed, and the roland/benedict endings were bad to play, but the overall enjoyment of the gameplay and different paths puts it so high to the top.

3. pokemon legends arceus (2022)

i know i said scarlet perfected the series but whatever. ive always preferred catching to battling and arceus did a better job of that. between that and the way your character could actually get involved in things its probably my fave pokemon game ever ehehe 😅

2. tales of arise (2021)

i dont care what anyone says this was a REALLY good entry to the series. i liked the story and the twists. i loved the characters. combat was excellent (law main ↖️) and exploration was more fun than other tales games. might not be my favourite tales game but its better than (almost) everything else from this year!

I LOVE THIS GAME. IF YOU HAVENT PLAYED THIS GAME YOUR LIFE WILL BE IMPROVED BY PLAYING THIS GAME. its about identity and tragedy and legacy and remembering the past and respecting the present and growing to care for yourself and your loved ones. its about herding rappigs and falling out of landships and going WHY ARE YOU ME. IM ME. it made me cry. its one of the best tales combat systems. why are you still reading this go play tales of the abyss.

20. A boss you think is really cool

Hmmm... that's an interesting one! I'm gonna answer with a few different bosses, bc 'cool' could mean a lot of different things

Cool design + concept: Blizzeta from Twilight Princess (her 2nd form also has what's probably my 2nd fave boss theme of all time)! I also like the in-story context for her boss battle so much! (spoilers for Twilight Princess) We know already that the mirror shards are a corrupting force, and earlier we see that the Goron Chief was corrupted by the Fused Shadows. But here we see, via freaky ass cutscene, a character we liked get corrupted in front of us- it's no longer a generic 'beat the bad guy' boss fight, it's a 'saving the innocent' battle with personal stakes! and the cutscene that initiates her battle? Iconic. Everyone in the fandom knew NOT. TAKE. MIRROR. I also have an attachment to her for very personal reasons haha. But yeah her design fucks hard, I wish the combat was as interesting as the rest of her schtick.

Cool (I admire them): Cynthia from pokemon gen 4 are u kidding me I wanted to be her SO BAD as a kid. She wiped the floor with me so many times. I made a sprite edit using her as a base when I was like 12 and used it for an avatar. If I can remember the name of my old forums I'll post it.

Cool as in 'has stuck with me': Honestly a lot of the OG Luigi's Mansion ghosts are cool bc they're like... just people, and it's real wild that the first boss of this nintendo game is somebody's dead mom. But Bogmire stands out for being kind of surprise creepy. I think about it a lot. What's its deal. Yeah it's the personification of the house's misery or whatever, but what does that MEAN. I was like 5 or 6, playing this game, and I go to a hidden graveyard and knock on a big cool gravestone and initiate this battle. For little me, it was the right mix of creepy but engaging. I was nervous but not terrified. I would buy a Bogmire plushie.

Cool as in 'I look forward to it when I play the game': The darknut minibosses from both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. Yeah the Wind Waker one isn't that tough now that I have a big grown up brain, but it's still neat, and WW Darknuts are my literal all time favourite enemies to fight in any game ever. I never pass up the chance.

The Twilight Princess one, though? Holy shit. I replayed the game like 2 years ago, and that bitch STILL kinda freaked me out! YEAH you can cheese him with the bomb arrows if ur a little bitch, but if you do a genuine bona fide sword fight? That shit's fun as hell. There's this unnameable dread when you first enter that room. You can feel in your BONES that that suit of armor is going to come to life and whoop your ass.

Cool as in most badass/dramatic: oh yeah it's gotta be the Wind Waker final battle. Everything about it RULES. (SPOILERS) You're having a desperate sword fight for your life, a 10 year old kid who left home a month ago vs an ancient warlock who was so powerful the gods themselves had to seal him away.

He won, btw. Like Ganondorf literally wins in WW. It takes KoRL stepping in to DROWN BOTH HIMSELF AND GANONDORF to prevent Ganondorf from getting his wish. So you're trapped in a room, water pouring in on all sides, against a man who... doesn't even hate you. He's just doing what must be done. He could have killed Zelda, but he doesn't. He puts his sword away and backhands her instead of running her through. He's 100% just playing out his destiny. You aren't the one who defeated him the first time, you're just some kid who was dragged into this by a ghost.

And when you kill him BY STABBING YOUR GODDAMN SWORD INTO HIS HEAD, he laughs quietly before delivering one of the most iconic lines in Zelda history. Like that whole battle, from opening cutscene to the final, is so intense. So fucking intense. I'm convinced they couldn't have gotten away with half the shit they do if the game wasn't so cutesy. Easy Teen rating.

Cool as in Best: WW Molgera is 10/10. The fight itself is fun and satisfying! Molgera has a KICK ASS design! It's a fantastic and mood-setting opening cutscene! The sound design on the boss is freaky in all the right ways! It's a UNIQUE boss battle! She's got the greatest boss battle theme in the whole goddamn series and I'll DIE on this hill! She was so scary I cried while watching my dad play when I was little, and once I got to her battle on my own I not only remembered her, it took me two days to work up the courage to face her, and I felt like an absolute fucking badass once I did! In that moment, I fell well and truly in love with video games. I was Link, a child facing down an ancient wyrm, terrified but pressing on.

Also, in the original GCN version of the game, the hitbox on her tongue doesn't go away when she starts flying, so you can hookshot it and force her back into the sand.

hehe!!! as for me, aside from playing a little bit of yellow, my first full playthrough of a pokemon game was emerald! hoenn is so dear to my heart it's by far my favourite region--also fun fact! as a youngling my older brother pretty much commandeered our childhood consoles, so i played through the entirety of emerald (and others) in one sitting several times because he would only let me play if i didn't save over his save file LMAO. twas so hard in the days before our lord and saviour nintendo switch 🙏 ive played every mainline game at least 4 or 5 times through, and while im super enjoying scarlet rn and i played x and y until my eyeballs basically fell out, i think i still have to say that emerald's my ultra favourite! pokemon x is extremely close though. I'll never forget getting curious and poking around the settings on that x cartridge, and finding out that i had played well over 800 hours on that one save file ✨️✨️ girlboss!
